They are so fantastic! Their empathy and knowledge shows and they have been amazing as I have been newly adopted by a previously abandoned tuxedo. They not only helped me check his health, get on flee meds so he can still adventure outside (on a leash now :)) but they have since helped with an eye scratch and soon a keloid removal. Everybody is helpful and nice! It’s not a shock that they are so popular that you have to schedule out for your appointments. 🌻🌻🌻totally worth it.

They are kind and compassionate. Dr. Basurto delivered the worst news, but did so in a way that shows she truly cares about the wellbeing of our dog. She didn’t encourage unnecessary testing that would result in costs and deliver the same result. She has the animals best interest at heart and we appreciate that.

Entire staff are excellent. Never had to wait more than 5 mins. Life saving surgery to remove 5 lb tumor on my German Shepherd was successful and the tumor stayed gone. I cant say enough good things about this well respected clinic!

Nice people who are capable, but I had to stop going there after they continued to recommend Starr Pet Resort in Windsor for boarding pets. Following their recommendation, I left my Belgian Malinois puppy at Starr Pet Resort when I went on vacation last year. I had to come back a day early to pick my dog up at the hospital where Starr Pet Resort had dumped her off after they broke her leg. Not only did I get stuck with a huge doctor bill as Starr Pet Resort does not have insurance, but the owner threatened to call the sheriff and have me arrested if I didnt come in the next day and pay his boarding bill.I let Dr. McCrystle know what happened, and to my surprise, on my next visit a few months later, Starr Pet Resort was still their number one recommendation. I asked Dr. McCrystle why they were still recommending Starr Pet Resort and he said he would look into it and get back to me. I recently called to get my dog a flu shot, and when I inquired about boarding, I was told once again to go to Starr Pet Resort. I emailed Dr. McCrystle and told him that I didnt feel comfortable bringing my dog to someone who continues to recommend an establishment as unprofessional as Starr Pet Resort.I dont know what his relationship is with the owners of Starr Pet Resort, but he basically told me to take my business elsewhere, and I did.

First review I have ever written about ANYTHING -Healdsburg Veterinary Hospital has taken care of my pooch for the last 10 years. Dr. Dave is a wonderful vet - very knowledgeable, gentle and kind - and Dr. Basurto is equally excellent. We drive a serious distance to see these docs, because I know that my dog will get the best of care.In our experience, the staff are equally caring - generous with their time, concerned about the animals who visit the doctor.If my old dog could write, he would give a glowing review - he actually likes to visit the vet, and when hes ill, he understands that these guys will make it better.If I could add an extra star for the doctors and staff at Healdsburg Veterinary Hospital, I would. They are the best!

Friendly staff, knowledgeable, and caring. Highly recommend. We take our dog and cats for preventive care and one had serious issues which required hospitalization. The happily fixed the emergency vets mistakes and the follow up has been amazing.Loki the cat endorses this recommendation.🐱

I was traveling through the area, and my poor unfortunate 11yo Shepherd had (what we think was) a stoke. He needed to be humanely euthanized as soon as possible for his own comfort.I was devastated, but the vets here were ready when we arrived, made the process easy to understand, and helped me get through it.Then, when I was away and his ashes came back, they helped me figure out how to get them and held them until a friend could come.This is the worst case scenario for all dog parents... but Healdsburg Vet Hospital made all the difference.Thank you so much for making my dogs last moments peaceful.

Ive taken my pets to Dr.McCrystle at Healdsburg Veterinary Hospital since 1980-- He is the very best veterinarian anywhere- both near and far !! His Veterinary hospial is amazing from the front receptionist to the vet techs in the back!!! I highly recommend Healdsburg Veterinary Hospital-- initially we lived in Windsor but then moved to Santa Rosa and I happily traveled to Healdsburg for the best care my pets always receive!!! Youll be thrilled with Healdsburg Veterinary Hospital !!!

Dr. Dave and his staff were saints with end of life care of our sweet dog, and even made a house call at the end. They were so empathetic yet professional, and it made the process of saying goodbye comforting for us. HUGE gratitude to them.

Dr. Basurto is not only a fantastic vet but a great person. Our six year old dog Gus had back surgery for a disc herniation and has had some very difficult days. She has really helped us manage his recovery and has been there for us over and above what anyone could ask for. We cant say enough of how appreciative we are. We would recommend her and the wonderful staff for any pet owner. Their service, care and compassion for pets and their humans is invaluable. Thank you Dr. Basurto and staff!

We always have a rest experience here. Dr. Basurto and the crew are always very helpful and really great with my pets.They have a puppy plan where you pay $450 ish and it covers your pup for all visits and check ups until 6 months.

Best vet in area. There is only one Dr. McCrystal. He is one of last small town vets with the abilities to care for all animals. He is not one to do tests or try to force you to do tests that will not improve your animals life. If you care for your animals and want to be treated with respect. Healdsburg vet is where you want to trust. Thank you for the guidance.
