Best Dental experience I ever had! All the dental assistants were so polite and informative. And Dr. Tam is the best shell make all your problems go away and shell make sure that you are in no discomfort at all! Definitely wont go anywhere else!

Had fast amazing service! Made me feel very comfortable after having very traumatic experiences in the past with other dentists. I was very skeptical at first but the pain was unbearable so I decided to call in for an asap appointment. I got one less than a couple hours and was taken care very quickly. Dr. Tam and her team were very caring and I felt very at ease during the whole time. I really felt cared for and would definitely recommend any family or friends here! I had an emergency wisdom tooth extraction on May 5th and I have a horrible fear of the dentist. Dr. Tam made sure I was fully comfortable throughout the procedure and has really earned my trust. I really appreciate everyone in the office. I had a panic attack and could feel the care from everyone and it was really appreciated. Thank you Dr. Tam and your team.

Best dentist in the world! I had a tooth that went south on me, it had to be extracted and Dr. Tam was flawless in helping get out of pain and she was so kind and understanding. She genuinely wanted to help. I moved all of my dental care to her after my procedure. We did a follow up appt. The third day after surgery, did some xrays and exams. And i had a cleaning . If you’re looking for a dentist, i wouldn’t recommend anyone else but Dr. Tam. I’ll never go to another dentist in my life. The best!!

Do not recommend this dentist. Staff works one day a week to release records and if you have mother appointment or second opinion, good luck! In addition, we tried to physically pick up dental records and they told us they have 15 days to process. My son had an emergency dental situation and they wanted to charge $4,200 which is outrageous. We decided to get another opinion and that is when we were treated unfairly. If I could give no stars I would.

Absolutely horrible! Ive called 5x and emailed the dentist regarding the care that was provided and have had no response. The dentist is extremely pushy and makes you super uncomfortable. I have asked to see a breakdown of the charges for 1 tooth being pulled and she charged my credit card $4200. No tooth should cost that much. Ive asked MULTIPLE TIMES FOR A REFUND OF THE WORK NOT DONE WITH NO RESPONSE AND STILL NO PAPERWORK OF WHAT THE CHARGES WERE FOR. Guess Ill be paying a visit to the office so she can say it to my face. Rude rude unprofessional dentist. Never would recommend this horrible place. 0/5 stars

My experience at Healdsburg Dental Spa has been wonderful. Dr Tam is a true professional who worked with me to straighten my teeth with Invisalign’s and whiten my teeth. During the process I needed a major back surgery and Dr Tam worked diligently to make the whole process work. She wants your smile and function to be perfect. Her staff is fantastic and always kind and professional. I highly recommend HDS.

My daughter had a really bad toothache and it was a Sunday. We’re from out of state and I’m a travel nurse. So I searched for a dentist in the area of Sonoma Country & found this place online. What caught my attention was they were open on a Sunday & I thought that was so convenient especially it was an emergency. I also noticed the dentist is very rare who specializes in cosmetic and oral surgery. Very impressive ! After coming here and getting my daughter’s teeth fixed, I also had worked on mine too! I am very pleased with the results and Dr. Tam’s deep professional commitment to her patient and expertise. I also want to thank the staff who were also very professional as well.Thank you so much !

My brother came here as emergency dental visit. He got his tooth extracted. He undergo gum treamtent and he is on Invisalign now. He is happy with the staff and the dentist. The dentist asks me to come with him durig every visit to have things explained properly and makes sure he understands everything.

So I’m one of those that fits into the category of just the mention of the word Dentist makes me break out into a cold sweat. If you are one of those too have no fear with Dr Tam.I broke a tooth and after years of neglect I didn’t have a choice. I had to see a Dentist. Luckily I found my way to Dr. Tam and her staff and I must admit to being a little embarrassed that I hadn’t taken care of my teeth like I should have as from the moment I stepped into their office I felt like I was in good hands.The procedure was done without incident, pain or complications and I’m now well on my way to healthier teeth and a better smile.So if you are like me, do yourself a favor and see Dr Tam and her staff. You will be glad you did.

SCAM!!! She kept me for over 3 hours for a simple cleaning and X-rays, trying to sell me at every chance she could, tellin me I needed over $30k in dental work. Also she then tried to force me to sign up for their finncing program and book in the work she said I needed done after me telling her I did not want to proceed multiple times. AND THEN for 6+ months after I got daily phone calls and multiple letters a week in the mail following up even after me asking to be removed from all communications. It felt like such a scam and awful people to have in our community.They also make you pay for your services up front (even a cleaning) and get your insurance to reimburse you. They said my services were covered by my insurance but I only got reimbursed half from my insurance..No wonder she is flagged by the Better Business Bureau..

Buyer Beware: they sent a mass mail postcard to new customers in March 2024 with an introductory offer of $79 for new patient exam + x-rays. So I made the appointment and arrived on time, filled out the paperwork. Only after I did all of that, did they told me it was actually $104 plus taxes because “they fabricated the postcards in 2020.”I said I had just received it in the mail a few weeks prior. She said, yes they mailed it recently but printed it a long time ago but sent them recently. Sounds like false advertising to me.Not a great way to get new customers. I had a bad feeling when I walked in. Should’ve just walked out. And so I told her that was unethical and gals advertising and she said I could leave.

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, DO NOT GO HERE EVER!!!My partner and I had the worst experience; terribly rude and incompetent receptionist(s), predatory tactics to hook us in, unrealistic pricing, and just unnecessary emotional stress.Despite all of this, I will point out that we are still so grateful for Dr.Tam because idk if my partner would still be alive if we didnt see her. He had a terrible infection from a rotted tooth and he left it for financial reasons until he absolutely couldnt wait anymore. She extracted that tooth, did a pulpotomy on two other teeth, plus med trays with periogelx.With that being said, while my partner was in THE WORST PAIN OF HIS LIFE, it took hours to get work started on him. Nobody was being worked on in the office at all so idk what took so long. It took hours; aside from having to fill out the normal medical paperwork and answer some questions, there was small talk, attempts to get him on fastbraces/invisaline, asking him how he would want his teeth to look if he didnt have to worry about finances (to which we kept saying we dont care about that we just want the pain to stop), and after all that, then taking another hour to have me apply for multiple loans since one of their loans wouldnt cover the over $14,000 for PART 1 of the treatment plan curated by Dr.Tam.Were young; Ive personally never applied for a loan before and I was just scared for my partner because he looked like he was going to pass out from the pain he was in and the infection. I didnt have time to read fine print, just sign anything and everything to hurry and have treatment started on him. The rest of the process was good and once we left we thought we were all good.After researching the business, we found it not only has an F rating on BBB, but there were one star ratings with very bad experiences buried in reviews. We no longer felt comfortable finishing treatment and honestly felt that the price was very high, so we got an itemized bill and had the treatment canceled. We had an appointment to have Dr.Tam explain everything on the bill to make sure we were paying for only what was done and she took off a small portion of the crowns off the bill since he hadnt gotten them done. They had him sign to cancel the treatment and we thought were were done. Nope!That paper they had him sign had numbers on there that absolutely didnt line up with the itemized bill or what was discussed. The loan company nor the dental office did what they were suppossed to and I had a lot of back and forth calling I had to do for over a month and a half to just figure out the finances. I had sent an email and tried calling the dental office to explain to me the extra $2,000 that werent accounted for only for radio silence. When receptionists did answer, they didnt understand what I was asking and were extremely rude on top of it. Very unhelpful. I couldnt even get ahold of Dr.Tam even though she did the finances.The loan company told me I should file for a dispute, so I did because of deadlines coming up (and I wasnt going to pay for something I shouldnt have to pay) only for the dental office to FINALLY call my partner only to be unhelpful and rude again. They told us to do the calculations ourselves and that they wont tell us how much we owe! My partner got frustrated finally since we had been so polite this whole time and asked for another itemized bill. She refused at first and said it would be the same bill we had and after pushing her, she finally agreed and hung up.After looking at that NEW bill, IT WAS NOT THE SAME. Everything suddenly added up with that signed form and we took it as a loss and I had to cancel the dispute the next day. The bill had an over $1,000 non-refundable admin fee and other added fees. This all cost almost $8,000.All of the stress (aside from other back and forth calls I had to do just to get the proper numbers down on the loan) couldve been avoided if receptionists and Dr.Tam were more clear and communicative on finances.

I had a horrible experience with this location. The dentist is money hungry and lacks compassion and a heart for her patients and their situation. I am of low income and was seeking a single tooth extraction via private pay. When I phoned and inquired about the price of extraction I was informed the cost of extraction starts at $400; having paid out of pocket for extractions in the past, with a different dentist, I believed this cost to be reasonable and near the price Id paid before which was $500.I drove an hour to reach the location and was met with a $145 consultation for new patient exam. I arrived with my own radiographs (xrays) in hand that had been taken not long ago, however the dentist was not interested and insisted on taking their own. Having a limited income and expecting the extraction to be around $500 I felt this $145 fee unnecessary but dentists these days are all about taking your money.No exam was performed by the dentist. However three radiographs were taken, by the dental assistant, as well as a 3d model of my teeth formed using fancy technology.The dentist comes in and asks about my teeth and what my plan is. I do not have a plan, as Im not a dentist, I just want the painful tooth extracted. The dentist makes a comment that, it is sad that my teeth are falling out and I have no plan.The dentist tells me it will be $1,871 for a single tooth extraction and offers me credit through a 3rd party at $50, a reasonable monthly payment, but hefty total. I failed the credit check as I have no credit and I could not afford the astronomical price of $1,871 for a single tooth extraction on tooth no.4!To me the entire experience was shady and underhanded.. This is what I call lucrative business practices and will not be going here again! I walked out of the location $145 poorer.. Shame on me..

Upon my first visit I was treated as if I’d been coming here for years. Everyone is so unbelievably nice & patient & it’s impossible not to feel like you’re really being taken care of. Dr Tam is absolutely incredible. She is in this profession because she cares about people & what they need & she totally delivers. I had an emergency situation & she took care of it right away. I have a major fear of dentists & this is the first time I no longer feel that way! She is officially my new dentist from this point forward.

I would highly advise any person receiving the discount dental exam to really really think twice! I was told I needed braces at age 70 then I was told all my teeth would fall out! My daughter was called to pay for braces!. The staff applied for credit on my behalf on my phone. Thankfully the office did not know how much credit I really had been approved for. Teeth were fixed that dr Tam wanted to pull! She refused to stop an order for a crown that could not work anymore since the tooth next to it had to be pulled. Her work had to be corrected and done over within two weeks! I now have a beautiful bridge and one fixed tooth and fixed filling from another dentist /dental surgeon Dr Tom Varin. Think twice because once you pay the $5000.00 it is gone. While there definitely is a recourse the price of a dental expert is so expensive, even more than the dental work in the first place. I have never had such a terrible dental experience.

This dental office is the epitome of unprofessionalism and unethical practices.First and foremost, they charged my credit card for services that I never received. It took me ten painstaking months to battle them and my credit card company over this dispute. The fact that they would engage in such deceitful billing practices is absolutely unacceptable.The front desk staff was equally unhelpful during this ordeal. It was as if they were intentionally trying to avoid any responsibility for their actions.Now, let me talk about Dr. Tam, the dentist at Healdsburg Dental Spa. She tried to pressure me into opening a line of credit for a whopping $10,000, claiming that all my teeth were on the verge of falling out. This kind of fear-mongering and predatory behavior is beyond unethical. Instead of providing proper care and addressing my dental concerns, she seemed more interested in profiting off my fear and anxiety.In addition to these financial and ethical concerns, the overall experience at this dental office was abysmal. The atmosphere was far from relaxing or spa-like, as the name suggests. The only thing that made me feel stressed was the thought of dealing with Healdsburg Dental Spas unscrupulous practices.In conclusion, I would strongly advise anyone to steer clear of Healdsburg Dental Spa. Came for an emergency tooth extraction of 1 wisdom tooth. Over the phone they said they take my dental insurance. But come to find out she said she didn’t use dental Insurances for these procedures. I had to take out a credit loan for $6300!!! She charged me for future follow ups and procedures. From walking in to the start of the extraction was 3.5 hours! Came in to the office at 7:30pm and left the office at 12:45am! Overall not a good experience. The staff is really nice tho!

I LOVE this office! DR.Tam and her team they are absolutely wonderful! Crystal was especially caring and compassionate, very approachable and easy to talk to, she helped to ease my anxiety greatly! They really take their time on you making sure to fulfill all you needs! Never experienced such gratitude in a medical facility! The doc picked up her phone all hours of the day and night to help with any concerns i had! I had an impacted wisdom tooth very close to my nerve and she was very careful and I was at rust for nerve damage but it was a breeze and painless pressure less! I went here because I was in pain. I need a root canal. These people started out nice but then they went in to this big long explanation of all these things I need to do for my teeth and how it is going to cost me close to $8,000! I went here because I thought the first place I went for my root canal was to expensive and they just kept talking and well my teeth hurt. Of course I would like to do trays of medicine for gum treatment and Invisiline and all that but right now my teeth hurt and all I can really think about is getting rid of the pain and I was asked to agree to paying $8k for treatment??? What? So I just wasted my time here. They x-rayed teeth that I had all ready had x-rayed and so that cost me another $150 dollars. Oh and he kept asking me why I hate going to the the dentist. Read the BBB report, its a solid F grade. The majority of these high ratings seem to be fake accounts. I went here for a tooth ache and they were scam artists. They gave me a bill for like 10k+ in work that i didnt need. Avoid this place at all costs. They only care about the money. The dental assistant was not trained at all and said her last job was at a shoe store.If you want to have a first hand view of how a well run scam works, you could either join a MLM or come here, both will give you a great example of worst case scenarios.Shame on this place. There is a special place in hell for people who prey on people like that

I came in on vacation for a chipped veneer. The room I was in in was cluttered and the dental assistant fumbled through getting the required prep awkwardly. She offered me braces which is extremely odd because my teeth are perfectly straight as I had gotten out of braces recently, not to mention I live over 1000 miles away. I waited over 1 hour to be seen by the dentist, and it took another hour for a TEMPORARY filling to be placed so I could move along with my day. Mind you I had made an appointment, this was not a walk in. The dentist was trying anything she could to rack up unnecessary charges knowing that I was desperate. Then after placing the filling she was rude to me because I requested for her to shape the tooth so it matched the others and did not look like a chunk of white plaster stuck to my mouth. I received the rest of my bill and it shows that the dental office submitted almost $900 in charges for ONE TEMPORARY filling, which I am responsible for almost all of it. I do not recommend this office to anyone looking for an ethical, organized, caring dental office.

Had my wisdom tooth pulled out. So amazing how quick they were able to see me. After calling numerous places in the Napa area I came across these guys by my sister who recommended me. Dealing with a wisdom tooth pain was becoming more and more painful and I needed this to be fixed as soon as possible. I spoke with someone from the front desk and she was able schedule me the next day. Would have been that same day if it wasn’t for my crazy schedule. But the consultation and X-ray was amazing in price and I was able to schedule for the extraction the next day! Your doctor or urgent care will provide more service than these people AND will not try to sell you invisalign while under extreme duress from pain.Back story: My husband started getting a toothache yesterday, called his regular dentist but could not get in until Monday and because the pain wasn’t that bad he thought he could make it through the weekend.Well the pain got unbearable and of course his dentist was closed and unreachable for the weekend. Desperate, I googled and got this place. They seemed nice on the phone and were able to get him in in 15 mins which was great.My husband starts texting me things about invisalign and how they are pushing braces and invisalign. Um what? He’s in excruciating pain from an infected tooth. He needed antibiotics not invisalign. After pushing repeatedly for antibiotics they reluctantly said yeah it’s infected here’s a prescription but we can’t go through Kaiser. Um ok….weird but ok. All the while pushing invisalign, night guards and braces. While my poor husband is basically crying and writhing in pain. They told him to take tylenol. He calls me telling me they are so shady, office is disgusting in the back while the front is deceptively nice. He felt so super and basically paid $160 for amoxicillin and pictures of his teeth for invisalign purposes! He got into his regular doctor and was immediately put on Norco for the pain. Even his doctor was like never go those places they are scams. Avoid this place at all costs if you are desperate you are better off just going to the ER or something.

There is nothing spa-like about this place. It is a sheisty and unethical practice. My experience was awful. I was overcharged and heavily marketed to for fast braces- which I don’t need and expressed zero interest in. The techs were sloppy and got water all over me. There are hidden fees- I was charged for things that I assumed were normal procedures covered by insurance- and then later discovered to be wrong. I have decent dental insurance and went in for a cleaning only to still have to pay over $400 out of pocket. I feel duped and taken advantage of and will never return to this practice.

Don’t be fooled by the positive reviews and the friendly staff!I was in pain and needed to be seen as soon as possible, as I was about to go on vacation, and I was happy and relieved that they were able to see me the next day after I called.When I went to my appointment, I told Dr Tam what my problem was, but she barely even glanced inside my mouth. First red flag. Instead she immediately had the hygienist do a full set of x-rays and digital imaging. Then she asked me if I make all the financial decisions on my own and how big of a monthly payment I would be comfortable making. Second red flag. I avoided the question at first, but she kept pressing until I answered.She then showed me my x-rays and told me that I not only need a cleaning, but also need my wisdom teeth removed, and after that I need to see two different specialists, and tried to get me to sign up for a $7500 loan with 19% interest, for a total of $11,000!!! No wonder she wanted to know about my financial situation.I told her I was not comfortable signing an $11,000 loan for work that hasn’t been done and specialists I haven’t seen. She condescendingly asked if I want to keep all my teeth. At this point I had been there for two hours, still had not had my actual problem addressed, and I’d completely lost count of the red flags. I paid $100 for the x-rays and walked out, still in pain.This place doesn’t care about your oral health. Save your time and money.

I had increasing levels of pain and had unsuccessfully tried to get in for urgent care at 3 other dentists between Healdsburg, Windsor and Santa Rosa. But after walking out, I understand why.Before coming in, I asked what my co-pay would be and I was told $25. They proceeded to take more x-rays, even after confirming that my previous ones were still good, and also take some iPhone style pictures. I mentioned to the dentist that I was interested in making my front teeth straight and whitening them, but my main concern was a simple cleaning. She then went ahead and asked if I solely make the financial decisions or together with my fiance. I told her we make them together and she scheduled me for a consultation the following working day at 8PM!I walked out WITHOUT a cleaning and only x-rays I didnt need. My $25 co-pay jumped to $86 while my fiance paid over $400 for x-rays and a cleaning.Overall, this place is full of scammers! All they want is your money and dont care about your oral hygiene. You will believe me when you pull up and see their records are locked with a rope lock, their chairs are ripped, and the lights above the patient chair is being held with tape.As welcoming and friendly as she is, dont fall for it! I have been a patient of Dr. Tam. I was very excited to visit my new dentist here in healdsburg. She was recommended by my roommate that was working there. I went for a teeth cleaning with the dental hygienist that was working there at that time. That visit went well. My next appt was to have a crown put in. On that visit, I was in the chair when a customer came in very upset and started yelling in the front office. He was upset about a bill. Dr Tam left me in the chair to speak with the patient. The conversation became very elevated and after 10 minutes she returned. Even tho this appt. wasnt going very smooth, I decided to continue with Dr. Tam as my roommate really liked her and said some people dont understand how the insurance and billing really works. She also vouched for the teeth whitening process they use and highly recommended it. So I started to pay for the whitening process which costs around $1500 in advance, so that by the time she was ready to start the process I would have it all paid for.Needless to say I prepaid for most of the whitening treatment and I only received part of the process that was never completed. Dr Tam has sent me to collections for just under $600 for work she NEVER did.

Beware of this office and its practices. They had me pay up front and told me I would get money back from my insurance and when they finally got around to billing them it all went straight to them. So they took my money and the insurance money. Sounds like insurance fraud to me. Filed a grievance with the Insurance and filed an investigation with my bank.
