I highly recommend Hayek Insurance. Roger and his team have excellent customer service. I used them to help me pick my Covered California Medical plan and for my brothers Medi-cal plan. They do all the enrollments, so it saves you time trying to figure out everything online. Roger gave me some excellent advise, which my financial advisor had not given me. Im not new to using insurance agents. I know a lot about insurance. I am so knowledgeable, I know not to try and navigate those waters on my own. Be it home, auto, earthquake, umbrella coverage, health, I have always preferred using the expertise of an independent (as opposed to captive) insurance agent.I’ve had my share of agents over years in the different venues I’ve lived in. Most of them have been fine. While shopping for health coverage for my recent college graduate kid and my not yet Medicare covered wife was not so easy, not a lot of agents want to handle individual health coverage.I happened into the Hayek Insurance Agency and all I can say is wow! Dealing with Roger Hayek was nothing short of outstanding. We were about to choose a plan on the Covered CA website, which as it turns out would have resulted in higher out of pocket expenses for us.Mr. Hayek took his time, did his research, ran the numbers, called back when he said he would, and had the exact information we needed tailored to our specific situation with an eye toward future possibilities. He was also able to explain in detail, without getting into the weeds, the reasons behind his approach. He saved us money on our Covered California policy in the long run, and provided us some great financial information on HSAs as well.As long as Mr. Hayek is in the insurance business, we shall be his client for any and all of our insurance needs.

This company is excellent. I had posted an entry on Nextdoor app asking neighbors for opinions on using public adjusters for help with home insurance claims due to water damage. The owner of this business, Roger Hayek, personally reached out to me and offered his help and services free of charge. He spent over an hour over the phone with my husband and I, counseling us and giving great FREE advice, in intricate detail, about the issues we were facing with our home insurance claim. It is clear he knows the ins and outs of the insurance world and is an expert in his field. He likely saved us from even having to hire a public adjuster, which ultimately will save us thousands of dollars. He also gave us referrals to good restoration contractors which will be of great help in our case. It was so sweet and kind of him to do all this for free. The next time we are shopping around for ANY type of insurance, I will choose his company in a heart beat. You should too!

I wasted 2 months for my MediCal approval after Hayeki dropped the ball. Edit your website to stop looking like its MediCal. Be honest. Its about health after all. I called Hayeki and Marlene was a bit nicer than most, but it is a business, right? She blamed a sub-middle man company for the mistake. My name stopped appearing in email headings after 2 emails (red light) although I kept the standard business protocol. Suddenly, I am offered regular insurance and not MediCal, which was the reason I called in the first place! About how they messed up my application lol I asked for clarification and got that I wasnt eligible. Estimated incomes do not make an applicant ineligible. I was borderline. I said coverage even for one year (if I made too much the next year) would be fantastic as Ive been paying a few thousand out of pocket for skin cancer treatment. Yet MediCal was never mentioned until I complained and asked for clarification. sigh. Then suddenly, Well, if youd like us to apply.... I thought I was ineligible? If you know I am, then you are wasting more of my valuable (and expensive!) time; if its possible that I am eligible, then you were lying or incompetent before. No thanks. Ive wasted enough time with you and your company. I was foolish to try after seeing how your website misleads. Sad. Weird. I hope others dont get more messed up that I did from this.
