My appointment was at 12, so I got there a few mins early to fill out any paperwork necessary and was seen right away. The office is spacious and clean; the staff is friendly and really know what theyre doing. I felt like I was in good hands throughout the entire process, even getting honest feedback on some of the frames I was trying on so I feel confident I made the right choice. Parking lot is small and fits about 6 but plenty of street parking and the neighborhood is safe so dont fret.

The actual building is kinda small,but the staff were very friendly and polite the customer service was very professional and Dr Nakada was very thorough and even took time to explain the x-ray on my eye after taking a second one and then recommending i see a specialist due the issue I was having and even referred me to one...very satisfied with my new pair of glasses..🤙🤙😎😎..this will definitely be my place to go and highly recommend..thank-you..🙏🙏🤙🤙

This is an excellent business. The doctor does the exam quickly and explains everything in simple language. He is very patient and takes the time to answer everything i ask. After the tragic loss of Dr Silverman at Look Optometry in MB, I found Dr Maamun.Nothing wrong with Look, but I did not feel comfortable in Dr Silverman’s “house” after he was gone. For the last couple of years I have received the same level of competence, professionalism, compassion, and rapport as I did with Dr Silverman. My wife is still with Look Optometry (She thinks he’s Dr Dream-Boat), but I save $ with Dr Maamud at Hawthorne Optometry.

I had my eye exam done through Kaiser and got my prescription for glasses. Found this location through my insurance website and I’m so glad I went there. The process was very quick and very easy. The glasses were done in less than two weeks and they’re perfect. Big selection of frames. The receptionist is really nice. Looking forward to coming back next year for a new set of glasses

I came in as a new patient. The staff was kind and knowledgeable. They have a good selection of frames with reasonable prices. The doctor was very pleasant. I really liked that it was fast paced. I’ve been in search of a trustworthy eye doctor for my toddler for some time now and came across this place on google with almost 5 stars. My son has a super rare eye condition called microphthalmia that many doctors were unable to assist us with. They were very patient and did great with my son. We left very hopeful of what his vision will be in the future!!

Found them with a Google search so I wasnt really sure what to expect. I was a little nervous. I found each and every person who works there to be professional, nice, helpful and just incredibly friendly. Dr Nakada did my exam. She talked me through everything, was so thoughtful and thorough. She made good suggestions and wow I cant believe the difference in my prescription (Leads me to believe my previous was way off). After my exam Yasmin was the NICEST person ever and helped me choose my frames and worked out all the options and costs for me. She went above and beyond. Upon arrival I had been greeted by Yante and Vicky. They do their job to perfection. They were quick and collected all my forms with ease. I am so happy I found them, Im making sure my husband is also going to go.10 out of 10, definitely recommend!!!

Love that you can text them. Very fast and accommodate life happening aka me destroying my frames. Very nice and helpful even when my frames need adjusting for the 3rd time. Have a decent selection of frames to choose from. Parking is a bit small but considering they even have a parking lot I call it a win for the area.

I absolutely LOVE Dr. Anne Lee. I can’t recommend her enough. She transitioned from another optometry clinic and now I have to travel further but I will make that trip 1-2 times a year no problem. She literally has spent hours with me and my prescription and trying to get thing’s perfect!!!

Best optometry office visit EVER! The doctor and staff alike were so pleasant, friendly and professional. The office was very clean and tidy. Eyewear selections were plentiful and for those of us with vision insurance, the staff actually walk you through the costs based on your services and what insurance pays. All the way around, it was a great experience.

Fantastic! The reviews are real. I had been seeing the same optometrist in Chicago for the last 20 years, even though Ive lived in Los Angeles for the last 13 years. So when it came time to finally get set up out here, I looked for somewhere with a similar vibe and so happy I found this place. Very pleasant staff from the phone to in person. Took very good care of getting me all set up as a new customer and squared up my insurance easily. Walked me through the online intake to make it earlier for both parties. The doctor was very kind and talked me through each of the steps and even gave me additional information as I have a very high prescription. Wonderful selection of frames as well. From stylish to classic to trendy, there were frames for all tastes, and at good prices too!! Glad to have found this place, as I will be coming here now for the next 20 years. :)

The staff and doctor was so incredibly nice! I was calling around everywhere for an appointment that day and no other place was available so I found these guys and thank goodness I did! Not only were they kind, but they were also clear, concise, and quick! I was in and out faster than I imagined and at the same time I felt very cared for and felt very satisfied with the service I was given. They also were very affordable to other places I’ve been! (And I didn’t even use insurance coverage) I even had a follow up question after leaving and they were quick to give me a call back!

Every time i have been there i get called in right at my appointment time. The staff is excellent at scheduling and knowing the amount of time you will need with the doctor.the doctors are very detailed with the information they provide you. I think my overall experience was great, since it was the first time I ever had my eyes examined. Just a few points, I was expecting but, didnt happen.1. I had to call after I got home and ask for my prescription. I dont understand why It was given to me at the office.2. Everything including the results doctor told me, I was hoping for a follow up on paper or email. I went home, and tried to repeat everything to my wife.3. I should automatically be told, Im scheduled for an appointment next year as a follow up.4. I think Veterans and over 65 should get an extra discount.Other than that, Ill recommend this office to friends in the future.

This optometry used to be good. I have been going here for 11 years. But recent experiences were really bad. I went here to get my glasses and the receptionists were so rude. I wouldnt give them a bad review but the two receptionists (one was a fat lady with dyed blonde hair and the other was a short Hispanic lady) were rude on the phone and in person. One of them was not letting me choose the glasses I liked. They were trying to force me to pick the glasses that were expensive. In addition, without even asking if I wanted scratch protection on my glasses she just added that to my bill. Scratch protection alone was $99; more than any place I have ever been to get my glasses. I guess they hired new people without really taking a further look. Unfortunately, I have had enough and will not be going here anymore.

It was my first time visiting Hawthorne Optometry today. I had made an appointment online over three weeks ago only to be told it was not in the system. The lady in the front was nice and tried to let me in since there was still time before closing time at 6pm. But the doctor told her no. I was told that all the machines were shut off for the day at 4:50pm. Needed to renew my contact lens prescription. They take masks and social distancing very seriously. My temperature was taken before I could enter the office, and there was plenty of hand sanitizer in the waiting room.Dr. Nakada was very pleasant and efficient. Very kind people, gets you in and out fairly quickly. Have covid protocols in place and use them which i appreciate. They dont try to upsell you on stuff you dont need so I feel like they care about my eye health over my wallet. Plus as someone who hates calling people, being able to schedule online is soooooo nice. I am hard of hearing and they are accommodating and make sure I am aware of what is going on and patient when I ask for repeats multiple times. Definitely recommend. Have gone there multiple times and will continue to do so.

Staff was very professional, polite and got me in and out of there relatively quickly. Got my eyes dilated there for the 1st time and they made sure to explain to me why they were doing it what they were looking for when they did do it. They even provided me some special instant sunglasses I could wear afterwards. They also did a good job of explaining how I can maximize my insurance benefits to get the most bang for my buck. My so only complaint this game is parking. Parking lot is small and packed sometimes so may have to park a bit further out depending what parking signs say. Other than that Im happy with service Ive gotten there the over the past few years.

My husband and I Have been clients for almost 2 years now. Its so nice to have a local one stop shop for taking care of my eye exam or choosing a new pair of eye glasses and sun glasses. The optometrist, Dr. Maanum is very friendly and thorough, and I was always happy with his prescription. Also, after receiving a pair of glasses I pointed out that the lenses are not fitting well and Dr. Maanum offered to exchange the frames at no cost and I received a pair of glasses that I love! Very friendly staff. They have the latest tech on Drivewear sun lenses which I love. Transition works well anywhere, inside and outside buildings and most importantly while driving. You only need one pair of glasses. A separate sunglass is a thing of the past.
