Off to a preview at the Harkin. It was a large location with lots of space. The air was perfect since it was ragin hot outside. Didn’t have to wait long and didn’t buy any concessions. The bathrooms were clean and no wait. The prices are high but that’s to be expected. The seats are comfortable and plenty of room to get past other guests if you are sitting in a middle seat. The front rows are a little to close for my liking but what can you do? Ten out of ten would recommend. Pretty sad Sound of Freedom wasn’t playing at this theater.

Excellent place to see movies 🎬 while sitting comfortably. In the movie theater, people are quiet 🤫. The popcorn 🍿 is always hot and fresh. Its a safe place to go alone or with others.

The theatre seems big and clean but I went for a show that had very few seats booked. The volume of the movie being screened was deafening. No amount of complaining helped - I went out to Guest Services thrice in the middle of the show to request it be reduced. Wore my earphones throughout the show and it was still barely tolerable. Really ruined the experience of what was actually a nice movie.

I cant believe that they havent upgraded this theater for years now. Seriously, I think they should work on their business and competitive skills with other theaters like AMC. Harkins still dont offer any comfortable seating, dine options etcThe seats are just old, smelly, and even dirty. And its its old style where it closes its own when you get up. Really an 80s styleEven an economy flight offers better options than this theater when watching movie. The theater hasnt upgraded and couldnt bear the stink. They have popcorn which is too buttery and salty. They should separate those options for sure. They dont have any dine in or any other dine options. They dont have alcohol also. Well overall not the best, compared to AMC.

The seats dont recline but if you like to rock in a rocking chair, then you got it made. They diffently are perfect if you wanna rock your baby to sleep. Over all in general the restrooms were clean, they had friendly employees, everything was great. I have no complaints.

We went to go see the lil mermaid, for our first time in this theater. Everything was fine till we order a pizza & pretzel. An hour later it was given to us while others got there order first when they came after us. We had to go pick up twice because they didnt know where our order was and mind we were theyre early, otherwise we would of missed the movie. Food is horrible, cinnamon pretzel was hard, pepperoni pizza & sprite had bad flavored and expensive. #Waste of moneyAfter the movie the cleaners are at the door saying thks & bye to the customers. I absolutely love Harkins, this location is my go-to. it is so cozy and quaint, very clean, the staff are so nice. and I love the fact that you can pick your seats as you pay right there at the window that really eliminates all the stress knowing you have your place to sit. I will always be a Harkins fan, and I cannot wait to see all the new movies that are coming out .. think you Harkins for all you do.

Recently moved back to the area and decided to come back to this location as this was my favorite theatre a few years back. sad to say that this theatre is no longer a favorite. the staff is very friendly, however, the theatre is absolutely disgusting. there are sticky parts on the carpet in the waiting area that you can feel your foot stick to the floor. i entered the theatre room and they tried to mop a part of the floor. my movie ended and the spot never dried and as i walked off my feet were sticking to the floor. caked on dirt between the seats with remnants of popcorn and candy. i felt disgusted to sit in the seats. my seat had something stuck on it as well. the seats have an odor emanating from them. they keep the room barely cool. i only felt the air come on twice in the 2 hours i was there. for the majority it’s just cool enough to not be uncomfortable. nothing like i remember this theatre a few years back. i hope they can revamp and have a better standard of cleaning.

One of the screens has a stain right in the middle that is hard to ignore. The sound is too loud oftentimes. Bring a jacket because 9/10 times theyre blasting the AC.

Nice suburban theatre. Very clean and the staff is very professional. I came here to watch the movie Air. The theatre was pretty empty which is unfortunate. The movie experience is wonderful and this location is fantastic.I didnt order any food from the concession stand but normally I might get popcorn. I just finished eating at In and Out so....I like this theatre and would definitely come back.

Harkins theatres in chino hills is just the best, i decided to visit this cinema to watch the new movie West Side Story, I purchased online two tickets for me and my friend.We arrived to the cinema, the stuff were so helpful, we ordered popcorn, as i am filmmaker and i have membership, i got another free popcorn.The auditorium 4 were so comfortable, the sound system is technically awesome with the musical performance of the movie, and the colors of screen were perfectly setup.I recommend highly This Théâtre, and i will decently visit to watch many movies, and hopefully, i will get a chance to screen my winning documentary in this theatre.

I usually go for the Matenee shows ($9.50 before 5:00pm). Even on the weekends the crowd is not too big. Short lines at the snack bar, and their popcorn is always hot and fresh. Comfy rocking seats (not recliners), stadium seating so that you have unobstructed views of the screen unless youre behind someone very big and tall. Plenty of parking, and a few decent food venues nearby.

This is my go-to theater, stopped by to see Oppenheimer and follow it up with Barbie. The ticket-taker JONATHAN was extremely kind I explained to him my situation and he offered to scan both my tickets at once so that way I could just go directly to my second showing but I forgot my portable charger and blanket in my car so he was nice enough to remember me to let me back in and in between the films I got hungry and decided to get some food next door. He totally remembered me and helped me out with calculating how much time I had in between the films because I needed to make it back from eating but didnt mind skipping the previews. When I came back another person was there and when I explained my two showings and that JONATHAN had scanned my ticket already he was able to confirm this by re-scanning it and let me into my showing. When I came out JONATHAN was back and I thanked him for having helped me I let him know I didnt have any issues coming back in and that he was right about the Barbie movie being good and I highly recommended Oppenheimer to him. The theater itself is really clean and the AC is blowing in this 140° feeling weather, to be able to bring a blanket inside and actually need it is necessary. Unfortunately they still do not take any type of mobile pay due to their payment system not yet being updated but they are working on it.. I was able to obtain a solution about this with ERIN at guest service and she assured me that they are currently working on it but in the meantime its for our protection until the units are updated because theyre a little bit older and as we know companies dont send software updates to old tech so it may not be as secure and that makes complete sense and I appreciate it. She recommended the annual popcorn package so when I buy my tickets on the Harkins app it will activate my popcorn coupon and I can get a medium popcorn each time I go so at least theres a solution to my mobile pay issue in the meantime and I can avoid having to drive far to other theatres since this theatre is the closest to me (18min away). Cleanliness was not an issue up to and including the restrooms and the best part is that when you walk out of the theater the staff still takes it old school style and thanks you for coming in and wishes u well before they go in there and clean. Thank you JONATHAN (ticket taker) and ERIN (guest svc over phone) for such amazing service today (7/21/23) and I hope more people learn to clean up after themselves 🙏🏼

Parking is pretty easy most of the time if you are willing to walk just a little bit. The staff is always friendly everytime we visit. Restrooms are always clean. There is also a small area with arcade games. Overall, the theater is always clean and rocker seats are very comfortable. As you walk out of the theater the cleaning staff on stand by is always courteous and thanks to the moviegoers. Its always been a great experience coming here.

Comfy seats, even though they dont recline! It was super busy. The seating is weird, the hand rails dont match up and can lead you to a half aisle that you cant access. I know, that sounds strange. Pricing is too high, $5.50 for a bottle of water? I can buy a case for that amount. This isnt my usual theater, I was there for a special screening.

Love the popcorn they used to offer really yummy seasoning for the popcorn free back in the day thats not available anymore, but youre able to purchase the seasoning now. They offer classic movies every Tuesday, which is really awesome and fun to watch on the big screen.

Very nice and clean movie theater, the seats lean only a little back. It is easy to buy tickets online and in person, you get to pick your seats before the screening. The employees clean after every movie, as they wait for everyone to exit before sweeping the area. There is also a mini arcade with machines with plushies. They also have a menu and perks (popcorn members, coupons.)

They have a wonderful variety of food/snacks, including popcorn chicken, and a nice variety of drinks. The theater seats are comfortable, the bathrooms are always clean and the service is good. They offer special pricing and loyalty discounts. There are plenty of eating venues right by the theater, too, in case you prefer to eat before going in. And parking is easy. Its our favorite theater.They dont have the new, trendy, reclining seats like some theaters, but the seats are as comfy as ever, so no great loss.Good service, good food, good all the way around.

The facility was clean but its kind of antequated it needs a new facelift Im surprised that they dont have the La-Z-Boy recliner seats that surprised me for that area everything else looks just as modern as the other facilities Ive been to and Cerritos and Moreno valley. We frequent this place...let me re-phrase that...ahem...I drag people to go watch with me here in the last few years. This place so far survived the snap, the two missing years of the pandemic. I am glad they are back in operation. Because in all the theaters in the area, Harkins has the best popcorn. Yes, I said it! That buttery cholesterol loaded fluff of deliciousness that you can wash down with soda, while you immerse yourself in magic for 2 hours. The theater seats are comfy and clean, no matter what time you watch. They really do a great job maintaining the theaters for us to enjoy the movie experience. Restrooms are very clean, my girls also observed that. The staff: very friendly, attentive from securing the tickets, concessions, clean up from the lobby, condiment area, restrooms, and theater cleanliness after every show. There are some negative observations: when you have a movie thats crowd anticipated, and forecast is full house, be prepared for your seat to be bumped from the back for late arrivals or people who attempt to put their feet up. There will be inconsiderate guests, nothing to do with the staff or operations. Plain crowd behavior, mixed with poor inconsiderate folks and unruly individuals. To circumvent that, I just watch off peak hours, and spare myself the misery. Also, Harkins has a free rewards program thats app based. If you frequent this place, this should benefit your movie experience.

The staff is friendly, the theaters are clean, but things must be tough financially for Harkins, who dont have an option to refill anything but their souvenir cups. This is something Ive never experienced at a movie theater before. A little bit jarring, especially considering I dont live around town anymore and a souvenir cup would be way too pricy for a one-time trip.

This is a very well maintained movie theater. The structure looks relatively new.....within 7 years old. Super clean!Very friendly staff. The associates at the concession stand were delightful.The popcorn was good and the butter was excellent! It tasted very natural! In fact, the popcorn / butter was so good, that we went back for the free refill! We finished both bags! (At other places one bag is plenty).Will definitely visit this place again. Its at a nice shopping center with lots of eateries too!

Went here because it’s our favorite theater and we’ve never had problems but this time there was a group of teenagers being overly obnoxious. We tried to not make a big deal since we’ve all been kids before but this was over the top. My best friend and I decided to leave but we ran into what seemed to be a manager and told him our situation. He listened to us and then told us we could get a refund or he could kick them out right then and there but we decided to just take the refund. The staff was very accommodating and nice. Harkins will always be our fave spot. Thank you!

I went on an after date to Harkins Theatres, in Chino Hills, to see Morbius. Weve been waiting for this film to hit the theatre, and Im glad we got to see it here. The theatre was clean, and there werent any lines, despite the venue being busy. The lobby and the restrooms were clean, as well. I picked up the following snacks, to boost my movie-going experience: Red Vines, Gourmet Caramelized Corn, and a Large Lemonade. I had to return the popcorn, because it was stale. The manager kindly refunded my money, and I returned to the theatre to enjoy the movie. No spoiler alerts. You must see it for yourself, and if you do, watch it at Harkins Theatres Chino Hills!

My favorite theater! Somehow its not as busy, most times. Its clean. Good seating. Lots of food options. Nice atmosphere. A kids area if you are interested in child care during an adult movie. Parking can be challenging on the weekend, but is no worse than any other theater. I love going here!

Love this theater! Weve been going to this theater for over 5 years now. This place is clean, especially the bathrooms (HUGE PLUS!) and the staffs are always nice.They also have like a day care for kids (for ages 4-8. Dont quote me on the 4 tho, I think as long your kid is pretty trained, all good. But the 8 is the limit), if you want to watch a movie and dont have a sitter, this is the place to go! Ive used this service many times when my boys were younger. Its inexpensive. Last time I paid I think $7 or 8 bucks. But that was many moons ago. Anyway, all you have to do is call ahead a time to reserve a spot for your child. Easy peasy.

Harkins in Chino Hills always provides a fantastic experience for movie goers. For us, its the only theater we see movies at. No it does not have the fanciest recliner seats, there is no waitress that will deliver food to your seats and Im glad to say it doesnt serve alcohol. If you want to be drunk during a movie, stay home or go to another theater that will accommodate. Harkins is always clean from the parking lot to the store front, restrooms and theater floors, customer service is always courteous and Ive never sat in a seat that wasnt comfortable. Our go to snacks are the freshly popped popcorn and a hot dog or the chicken tenders that are very good! Pretzles are great too! Sodas never disappoint. If you opt for iced water they have fresh tasting water and will fill your rewards cup with water for free. Fyi, refills on rewards cup is 2.00. Theres also My Rewards you can sign up for to earn points for rewards money. If youre looking for a chill theater for you and your family Harkins is that place.

Nicely run local cinema. The staff is pleasant and they work hard to keep place clean. It is very busy, but well organized. Bathrooms can get trashed during blockbuster peak times, but generally clean. Snack bar is fast and efficient. Projections are well done and equipment seems well maintained as I have never seen a fail.

Ive been to this theater multiple times now. Each time I experience someone talking. I dont blame the theater. I blame the manners of the individuals talking.I like that this theater offer babysitting!I wish they had better options than a $1.50 service fee to purchase seats in advance. Simple auditoriums, nothing special. Moths flying everywhere. Kept thinking to watch out for them landing in my popcorn so I don’t end up eating one of them while I’m trying to enjoy the movie. Played one of their video game machines and got ripped off on another. Just took my tokens and nothing. Concession attendant overfilled my drink and I had to wipe down my cup because it overflowed after inserting a straw. The coke wasn’t flat, it was good. The popcorn was good. The butter was fresh. No technical issues during the films I watched. Auditorium temperature was comfortable in my opinion. The staff was incredibly professional, friendly and helpful. Overall cleanliness was very good and the location of the theatre is good. Good parking and neighboring businesses. Ticket prices are fair.

First time here and like the place. The most thing I loved about this theater is: they have a play center where they can watch you child while you enjoy the movie. Its a small place right in the corner of the entrance (of course inside the theater) with lots of different type of toys. They give you a device in case they need you to come to see your child (its a device like the Olive Garden hand you while waiting your turn). They charge $8 per child age 3-8. Its very convenient in case you dont have anyone to watch you child or they live far away like our case.

A very good theatre. I live in the area, and it is in a very good location; just a few streets away from Chino Hills Shoppes. The plaza its in is pretty decent too, boasting an Albertos and a gas station right next to it. Now, the theater itself is great. I believe up to 18 houses in total, and the price is very cheap compared to other big name theatres (at the time of writing, $9.50 matinee, student and senior discounts available also). That being said, the quality isnt cheap! Its very clean and bright inside, just like AMC and Edwards. With arguably better customer service. Ive seen more managers on the floor here than at any other theater. Highly recommend.

I have been meaning to write about this for a while and finally took the time. I have been coming here for sometime and love it! My only bad experience was with a manager...Im still waiting for her to call me back...it has been a couple of months now...what a joke! I had my daughter in the play center while I watched a movie, but had a family emergency, so left the movie after 30 minutes or so into it. Since it was an emergency, all I care about was getting to where I needed to be immediate(no trying to get a refund). A few days later I went to finally watch the movie I had intended to watch the day I left early, then it occurred to me that perhaps I could request a refund from the prior short visit. The manager at guest services was provided with all the details, date, time, childs name (so she can see i did sign her out early ), etc. She told me that she had to review the tapes to make sure I was telling the truth, and she would call me once the investigation concluded. Well, Im still pending for her call. I was going to remind her as Ive seen her in the teather many times, but why bother, I didnt like her attitude when I first reported the incident and deep inside felt that it was not going to go anywhere. I honestly felt like a criminal just looking at her facial expressions and body language when I was explaining the situation. Thankfully, there are many pleasant folks working there. My daughter LOVES the play center so we continue to go and feel welcome...by most staff anyway :)

We were so excited to be back in a movie theater again. We had popcorn which they layered with butter so well. We also ordered their $7 angus beef hotdogs. It seems expensive but so worth it and the dog is huge! Definitely shareable. I was confused by the refillable cup offer but they wont refill your popcorn or drinks. If they can refill their reusable cup why not the paper cups or popcorn? The theater we were in was clean and they are social distancing by alternating seat positioning ever row and leaving two seats empty on each side. Our theater only had one other couple in it. The theater wasnt busy. I was surprised that unlike the Harkins in my town, this one doesnt have the reclining seats.

What does set it apart from all others is they do NOT offer refills on their fountain drinks. It is very hard to plan and get your group to the window at the same time to get all of your seats together. When I complained about this they told me to buy the tickets in advance online. They said that was too badAnd the attitude about all complaints is Thats your problemFor example on the Classic Movies we pointed out that they need to be shown at the screens closer to the door. This is because most of the people who go to see them are elderly and many of them are severely handicapped. One time my husband and I went and had dinner after the movie. When we were returning to our car we noticed one elderly couple we had talked to at the movie was just getting to their car. It took them that long to get out of the theater that we were able to order & eat our dinner in the same amount of time. Not to mention they looked exhausted and in pain. When I pointed this out to a manager his response was Were not going to put them in the closer theaters because they are larger and we save them for the big releases. In other words they dont care about their elderly customers.

I really like this theater. Its about 30 miles from me, but whenever Im in Chino and we want to see a movie, we go here. They dont have stadium seats like many others have. They do have a place for you to drop your children off though. You can pay a small amount and your kids will play inside a daycare type area. There are plenty of windows for you to peak in in them any time you want. It looks like fun and Im sure your kids would rather play inside there than sit through a movie, unless of course, its a kids movie. I grew up with this theatre. For all those years, The theatre seemed like the best around. however, I was mistaken. This theatre lacks almost any amenities, with no premium formats or recliner/reserved seating. The employees seem to push their rewards program excessively, with them asking you if youre a member before you even say what film youre going to. A while ago, their popcorn program was a main reason to come here as opposed to AMC Ontario Mills DINE-IN 30. You could pay about $30 for a pass that gave you a free medium popcorn every visit. But the greedy higher-ups abolished that in favor of a Pay for 30 popcorn passes, which expire after 180 days. However, the theatre is not all bad. The theatres and bathrooms are clean, they offer a daycare center, and the run a $5 classic movie program that keeps me coming back. So to conclude, If you want to see a classic movie, definitely go. Its worth it. But If youre seeing a blockbuster, opt for an AMC or Regal instead.

The seats are uncomfortable, the pizza is microwaved, and the customer service is absolutely abysmal dont go to this movie theater if your planning to watch a movie. Take the time to drive an extra 10 minutes and drive to Edwards or AMC.

Ive never been to this theatre, but I was very disappointed with my online gift experience. I had to carefully navigate through several screens prompting me to create an account before I was even informed that I could order as guest. Then on the final confirmation page I was informed that my online purchase would not be delivered online. It was to be shipped after 2 business days for processing AND there was a $2 shipping charge! Con! This is the 21st century, isnt it?

You cannot ask for a better theater.Get a loyalty shirt and cups. Shirt gets you free popcorn (upgrade to large for 50 cents) and cheap refill on drinks.Leave your kids in the play area! Dont bring them into inappropriate movies or you will go to hell!

Fast and simple. Relatively inexpensive for any age. Has weekly vintage movies. Their service is good with no hiccups. Seats are simple. I am amazed with how well this place is organized and clean.

It is definitely one of the good theater I have been too. Much less expensive that other giants. The Food was also cheaper than other theaters like AMC and Edwards. The Chairs were much more comfortable than any others.

My wife and I go every Wednesday to the movies nothing like the big screen, big sound . nothing! Anyway been waiting a few weeks let the crowds go down, to see Tom Cruises new movie Mission Impossible. That was a really good movie real stunts real countries beautiful photography how movies used to be made not fake computerized artwork every 30 seconds good job Tom.

Good local multi-screen theatre; good sound, popcorn etc. Be advised they have gone to a reserved numbered seating system, so you dont enter and sit just anywhere now. Pleasant place to view a film on a large screen.

Overall good seating. Decent pricing- Just had to wait for staff to finish cleaning theatre. Movie started @ 1035 but they didn’t finish cleaning until 1020. They were too busy talking.

Unfortunately, they are still pretty tight on masks even with 25% occupancy in the theatre. They wont even let you use your honor cup, they put a paper cup inside that cup. I feel bad for the employees; it is unfortunate the county cant follow the science.

So happy to live close to a Harkins theatre again.Ive had the honor to meet Dan Harkins (owner) a few times during special events back when I liked in Phoenix. And ive always enjoyed all of the Harkins Theatres Ive been to.Then I lived in Pa, and there are NO Harkins out there.So now Im in .ca, and like I said, Im ecstatic that I have a Harkins so close. The theatre is comfy and the staff is super friendly.

Harkins is the best theater I have been to. I travel ALOT for work and watch films in my free time. Harkins has terrific customer service...great theater seats, hot foods and ice-cold beverages. There is child care there and a game room for the kids. They have very courteous staff and will go out of their way to help their guests. I had an experience once where I had wanted to see a movie got into the theater...and found it VERY overcrowded inside. Though MY fault, Harkins management accommodated me and let me change my ticket to a different movie I had intended to see on a different day. I have to give kudos to this rep theater because it is the nearest the aid of her my wife and I go to. It is theater we often run to woman trying to catch a movie. We seemed to be able to get in get our tickets and catch the movie. Its always great to go here for our date night.

As far as a theater for shows 4 Stars but for service when they over charge you, forget it!! No service at all then you play the waiting until they are satisfied they have enough info to credit your card which showed 2 charges in the same amount with in seconds! Then they call every day to get you in the credit your card as if you don’t have a life or real job! Then to top it off u go in for credit and no one knows who you are! Free popcorn would have been nice for the inconvenience! You need public relations!!

This is by far our favorite movie theater. Love the popcorn with the complimentary seasonings (cheddar, ranch, kettle, caramel). If you purchase the reusable soda cup, refills are only $1.50 for the rest of the year. The Harkins employees are friendly and welcoming...Im mostly appreciative of the onsite child care staff. They are simply amazing and so wonderful with the kids. ...Yay Harkins!

This theater is pretty good considering they dont usually have a large selection of movies (the theater is quite small). Even so, it beats the old Krikorian theater (formerly known as the Movie Experience) which is now closed.Its nice going to a new theater and you can buy your tickets through the kiosk instead of waiting in line at the box office. The theater is normally busy during the weekends, but if the wife and I are board we might hit this place up during the week and catch a matinée showing to save a few bucks.

The theater is easy for me to get to, not as close as the old Krikorean metroplex which was right on the Corner of Edison and the 71, but the Harkens is still easy to get to the all I need to do is get on the 71 and get off on the very next exit no merging necessary. The theater has comfortable chairs and is not typically crowded. The staff is very polite and my mom takes advantage of free popcorn with their loyalty shirt. I dont eat snacks during the movie or even before so I am not sure how that is. The theater also has a subway and a creams and dreams stores right next door. The theater has local adds before the movie which is kind of nice! I always show up at least 30 to 45 minutes before a movie starts. The theater is very clean and the seats are very comfortable! The automated movie ticket purchase system right in front of the theater makes it easy and convenient to purchase the tickets. The Harkens app makes it very easy to see what movies are playing and when, also how long they last for and what their rating is. It is way closer than the Edwards cinema in Ontario mills. This is by far my favorite theater!

Lots of options for movies and times. The food options are the usual popcorn and snacks as well as hot food. They have a childcare center which is nice. Theaters are usually clean and spacious. Parking is adequate.

Loved Harkins before the craziness. Couldnt wait to go back but having a small child that would also enjoy seeing a movie in theaters....where did all the early showtimes go? Kind of disappointed in that but glad theyre back finally. Also, okay with the new rules but not a big fan. Hope they go back to normal soon.
