**HIGHLY RECOMMENDED**I just want to personally thank the ENTIRE team at Harbor Hyundai Long Beach for everything that they do. They helped my family get a Elantra Hybrid. Wow what a car!! They did everything possible from every angle available to help us get the deal done.Reached out to the dealership and was able to work out details for a great deal. So after picking up our son from school, our family drove the 3+ hrs from San Diego to Long Beach (in Friday traffic) to get the car. We were greeted by Kevin (sales) who made the whole experience amazing with his professionalism, friendly personality, and patience. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I liked that they communicated through text to set up times that worked for us. It was so great to be able to test drive alone twice and that they went out of their way to make sure I got the exact color I wanted even though they didnt have it in stock. For years I have been servicing my car at Harbor Hyundai, with a pleasant experienceUNTIL it was time for me to get a new car. I received 6000 USD from my old car & put it towards a down pay payment of a USED over 20k miles HYUNDAI Tucson 21.The dealership & finance team let me know that I will be able to Drop the interest rate within 6months (keep in mind I have made every payment on the car).Comes 6months & I call the dealership & no one is helping me to find the best interest rate as they told me they would other than I was told I can figure it out through credit unions. When I was purchasing the car they told me they would help me figure it out & are simply avoiding the help I was told that id be given!The dealership will sell you a car & lock you into terrible rates & then blame you for it!I continued To call James Kraft who is currently in the office & avoiding my call after he transferred me to a dead end call that didn’t go through!When I simply asked to talk to finance team.I wouldn’t purchase a car here again!& am writing this review to beware of the charges you will most likely Receive & if any complaints they will ghost your call & try their very best not to direct you to the right person or group until I called every department & made aware of the situation.

Had a refreshingly easy, positive experience buying a new Hyundai Tucson SEL at Harbor Hyundai. Had a few terrible experiences at other dealerships before finding this one and we were so grateful that everyone we spoke to was straightforward, transparent- understood what we wanted and did not push add ons unlike every other dealership we dealt with.I’m so terrified of dealing with car salespeople and am so relieved that the team at Harbor Hyundai - Jesse, Leonard - were all super helpful, patient and just overall nice people to deal with. We just bought a car yesterday from them! I’ve never had a process be so smooth before. We spent all weekend negotiating so much with other dealerships. It was nice that I didn’t have to haggle with Harbor Hyundai. He called me with the numbers and they worked for us, we went in, signed the paperwork and walked away with our keys. They didn’t try to upsell us or add anything addition to change the price last minute. They were great. Highly recommend to anyone!

This dealership deserves your business. Our experience here was nothing short of extraordinary. We have a long history of business with Harbor Hyundai and there is a reason for that. When we arrived, we were greeted by Lexi, who turned out to be one of the nicest and most personable sales people Ive ever met. There was no question that was left unanswered. As far as the car itself, it was in pristine condition and matched what the listing had, which isnt something I can say about another dealer I had visited earlier in the day. I must say this is a night and day experience compared to Norm Reeves Hyundai and I don’t mean in a good way. I wanted to come here to this location since I live in Long Beach and didn’t want to drive to Cerritos but I won’t make that mistake again. I arrived and sat in my car confused in the service driveway for almost 10 mins before anyone greeted me. Then a gentleman came over and asked me what brought me in and told him I had an appointment for an oil change. He said sounds good come on in and we will get you checked in. Then he tells me the only service advisor on Saturday is on a lunch break and I looked at him confused like what did that have to do with me? They eventually took my car in and after just 2 hours of waiting no one notified me my car was ready while I was literally sitting in the lobby waiting. I found out my own car was ready myself but before it was officially ready they called me and told me the air and cabin filters needed to be changed. I was confused since I had recently changed them but I told them I usually do it myself because the dealer charges way more money for a 2 minute job. Today I checked my filters and they literally still look brand new and he said that the technician said the filters were filthy and needed to be changed. You guys are trying to nickel and dime customers for air filters and luckily I know things about cars otherwise you guys could have easily taken advantage of the situation. Not only that but I asked when I arrived and asked the gentleman that got me checked in if they had any coupons on the oil change and told him I saw something online with $10 off and he shrugged his shoulders and said oh we don’t have discounts here nothing we can do sorry you have to pay this price and then for you to proceed and try to rip off the consumer for the services that are not needed. I want to file a complain with the attorney general and the business practices. This was my second time at this dealership and it will be my last. I came here years ago looking to purchase a car from you guys with an appointment and the sales person was helping me and then in the middle of our conversation one of his other customers came and he ditched me and left me hanging high and dry in the parking lot. After that I said nope I’m not purchasing a car from here and went to Norm Reeves that night and walked away with a new car. You guys have a lot of work to do.

After looking for a Hyundai or Kia for weeks, I came across Harbor Hyundai. They actually had the vehicle I wanted and at the right price. Everyone there was great to work with, not pushy at all.I went there first just to see if I liked the Tan interior, and Paul offered me to drive the car. Of course I fell in love with it.Then I contacted Jose about making the deal and I decided to lease from Harbor. The day I went in Jose was not available, so Mike helped me with the rest of the deal. He did an exceptional job at listening to what I needed, and helped me get the right price for my trade in. And get me to the payment I was looking for.Once negotiations were complete I went to finance and I believe it was Dave that helped me there. They explained everything in detail, not trying to push anything on me. But informed me about optional coverages.When the deal was complete, Mike helped me transfer my plates and stuff out of my old car. Our experience with Harbor Hyundai, starting with salesperson Jack Duty, was excellent. Jack didnt pounce, push or nag. He was friendly and knowledgeable. After taking me for a brief spin in my first EV, he gave me the keys and said, have fun! We completed our lease application online and it took less than a week for them to obtain the model and trim we wanted. The F&I process is never fun but when we turned down all the extra stuff, the rep remained friendly. Harbor Hyundai is smaller than most SoCal dealerships in large auto malls (e.g., Cerritos). Thats why we picked them and highly recommend them.

The staff was very friendly. I purchased a 2021 Chevy Trax with only 11k miles! We were able to work a deal out and I walked away with a great car at a good price. The only issue was the amount of time it took for me to sign the paperwork. They were a bit understaffed in that department so I waited a couple hours before I got to sign any official paperwork. Other than that it was great. Mack is a good stand up dude.

Super disappointed, walked into buy a 2024 Kona which was being advertised by them for 25k, they price hiked with all these extra options by TEN THOUSAND!!!!!! This is furthest thing from being transparent. Then the guy has nerve to tell me he didnt want to discriminate against me because he has to give the same options to everyone and some people want it. I told him please discriminate against me and remove all these extra padding and he comes back with 8000 over lol. Had to write this review because thats very unethical and not transparent pricing. Didnt expect Hyundai dealers to do that which is a used car salesman tricks. Ended up buying the same car from a different dealer who advertises there actual price.

Do not under any circumstances consider buying a car from this dealership. I bought a certified preowned Santa Fe from this dealership. The sale required virtually no effort on the part of the dealership--I knew exactly what I wanted and there was very little negotiation. Probably one of the easiest sales they have ever had. Within a couple days after purchasing the car, I noticed an issue with the USB port in the car. It is something that they should have disclosed to me prior to buying the vehicle, but I did not think it was a big deal when I discovered it--I assumed that the dealership would make it right. I was wrong. For the last 10 days, I have been calling, texting, etc. to get someone to give me an answer as to how to get this issue fixed. The two salespeople--Prince Hayes and Miguel (not sure his last name)--have promised to get back to me, but never get back to me. Or they just ignore me altogether. I then spoke to the sales manager--Dean Dixon--who has repeatedly promised to get back to me. He never does, and now he is dodging my calls. I have dealt with many car dealerships over the years, some good and some not so good. But this one is the absolute worst. Stay far far away.

Really aggressive sales here, but dont expect anyone to keep that interest up once you leave with a car unless it involves spending money at the service desk. Youre better off going to Cerritos.Not to mention I just found out the $200 fuel injection cleaning they came up with when I came in for the 15k mile checkup wasnt actually required. You have to watch yourself with these guys. Anything for that dollar.

I was on the search for a used hybrid or electric car and decided to call Hyundai Harbor to inquire about a 2020 Hyundai Kona all-electric I saw on Google before I arrived. Mike Casalegno picked up and informed me it was still available and was expecting me. From the moment I walked into the dealership, Mike was prompt on helping me looking at the car and test drive it. He was knowledgeable and thorough. Although the car I initially wanted wasn’t the best fit, a second option came up and with Mike’s knowledge of the EV tax credit qualified for certain vehicles, I decided to go through with purchasing. If I could give this place less than a 1 star I would. I came in here needing to buy out the lease of my car and when they gave me the monthly payment with their absolutely awful interest rate of 10.5% they snuck in a $3,500 extended warranty without telling me. Even when I went into the financing he conveniently failed to tell me that it was an added charge, on top of my buy out amount and something I would also be paying interest on, absolutely unacceptable and they completely went behind my back and took advantage of me. I will be refinancing this terrible loan and will never go back to Harbour Huydai ever again. If you go there absolutely watch your back because any chance they get they will take advantage of you.

The overall purchase experience was good. The salesman Miguel, desk Manager Dean and finance officer Dimitri were all great people to deal with, great customer service.However, i have to say that forcing add-ons when buying a used car and saying that they cannot be removed is definitely misleading.I currently work in the automotive industry and have worked at Hyundai myself I know for a fact that they dont add things to the used cars. Any items that appear on the cars were already there when the car was new but they still tried to pretend that they added it and that you have to pay for it.Things like car alarms, door edge guards, extended warranties and fabric and paint protection are not things that you have to get when buying a used car.After much negotiation I was able to get most of them removed but they refuse to remove the alarm charge which was $1,500 and apparently is only good for 3 years and then it gets deactivated. That means that youre paying $500 a year for an alarm and then it requires a subscription service to continue it after. That is absolutely ridiculous.

We went in with the intention of buying used but the deal we got on the new car was too good to pass up. Weve been looking for a car for months now. The used and new car market still hasnt quite rebounded to what it was before the pandemic. We live in Orange County and had been to several dealerships in the area, however we werent seeing any car worth the prices they were selling at and the salespeople were pushy and one even lied about accidents on a competing dealerships car (we did a VIN search before and after to confirm). We found out about this dealership through the Costco Auto Program which has very strict standards. The whole process was very smooth. Harbor Hyundai even contacted me after the sale to ask if I had any problems to contact them and to schedule a complimentary maintenance. I had to call several times with questions and theyve been very helpful each time. Excellent service all around, in particular from our salesperson Randy and the team leader Mike. Took my car because the transmission has been acting up when the car is cold. Picked it up and checked my dashcam and they only did the maintenance and then parked my car for over 2 hours. From 12pm to almost 3pm. Funny thing is I called them at 12pm for a status on my car and they said it wasn’t ready. Not going back here again. This dealership is easy to find and easy to navigate through. Customer parking is convenient along with locating the service desk for the car buying experience. Even before my visit, David found a really good time for my girlfriend and I to test drive the Venue we were looking at and made the appointment for us, which I truly believe is great customer service! I didn’t even have to ask to test drive the car because I was already alluding to wanting to test drive. Upon arrival, David introduced himself and notified us he was with a customer. Instead of making us wait, he called for his manager, Mike, and Mike stepped in to show us the vehicle while David finished assisting his current customers. The car buying experience was like nothing I’ve experienced before. They are very transparent about what they do and what they are presenting. If they were not sure about something, they didn’t fake it or try to make excuses. They were honest and said, “I’m not sure. Let me find out” and made an effort to find answers. David answered many of our questions and was extremely polite. Once David’s shift ended, he introduced us to Mac, and we were able the connect with him. He talked about his history in the business and it was super cool to hear his perspective. He showed my girlfriend and I some cool features we didn’t know the car had. Mac stayed until we completed financing the car with RC and asked us if we’d like to continue learning more about the features. As it was already two hours past closing, we appreciated his efforts but there was no way we were going to hold him for a longer period of time. He went above and beyond to ensure we walked/drove out of that lot with confidence! He even showed us where the car service desks were and who each desk belonged to when we returned to service our car. As for the financing piece, RC was awesome! He oozes high, positive energy, much like the rest of the staff, and walked us through the paperwork. He explained everything, and, much like David, Mike, and Mac, he naturally connected with us. He told us about his history in the business and you can tell how much he loves what he does. My girlfriend and I are extremely happy with the team at Harbor Hyundai. I didn’t buy my car here, but at the start of this year I lost my new 2023 Hyundai key in January the week after I bought it. The first time I met Candace she made me feel welcomed and helped me get a new key. It was such a new car (and there was a car shortage in the US) that the key was hard to get but she made it happen.In June the pipes above where I parked my brand new car dripped rust onto the paint and ruined it. The single best interaction I have ever had with a dealership! I had been searching for weeks, frustrated by the insane markups and lack of help by the many dealerships I had interacted with. Now with that said, a big flaw is not offering loaner cars. I dont have access to another car and every time my car has had a major issue, I have had to sit at the dealership for hours because there is nothing I can do. Renting a car last minute is usually not feasible or available. I am currently looking at getting a new car sometime this year. While I have been very happy with Hyundai, not offering loaner cars is a big factor in my decision in what car I end up buying.

Had an awful experience here -- due to a combination of incompetence, arrogance, and placing personal concerns over the needs of the customer. The sales person who assisted me was okay, other than that as I was browsing the inventory on the lot, and considering my options, I approached to ask him a question, and he replied scornfully that he was busy with customers. I thought I was a customer too but at that point, realized I didnt matter (even though I was ahead of the person to whom he was giving priority). I did find a car on the lot that I loved and had planned to purchase it -- until the floor manager struck up a disagreement with me about the nature of credit reports. I had already been approved for financing with my credit union as well as CapOne. Not worth going into the tedium of how this all transpired but ultimately the sarcasm and lack of professionalism prompted me to walk out as I was about to purchase a car from Harbor. In the end, they did run my credit, which was completely futile and lowered my credit score by 30 points. The car I was buying was 42K. I had 63K in CapOne financing already approved but wanted to use my credit union financing for a lower interest rate. There was no purpose or sense to them running my credit report. I had initially asked for only 30k from my credit union but they were closed on Sunday. Monday morning I called my credit union and got approved in 5 minutes for the additional 12k. Due to the treatment I received at this dealership and the way they decided to handle the sale, I decided to go elsewhere. I was able to purchase the exact same car -- same model, same trim, even the same color -- from a different Hyundai dealership where my overall experience was quite the contrary -- incredibly upbeat, positive, and professional.

I took my car in for my master break cylinder to be changed, paid the original cost, and no question asked because I trusted this place with other services before. Well, it sad to say this was the last maintenance Im ever getting from them. Unfortunately, andreas, the services advisor, informed me that the bleeding Valves where frozen and that one of the techs broke them off. In order to bleed the brake system. That being said, they made me pay for that when it wasnt broken in the first place. Also when I brought my vechile it was in driving condition, they made me tow my car to another business somewhere and to add the cherry on top they made me pay for everything and not honor me any discount. Thats what drove me away, and I also canceled my extended warranty. Horrible service. Managers fault, not the service advisor.

Scott Jones was rude when I went in for my 10:15 AM appointment. Jake actually helped more than Scott. 5 hours later my oil change still was not done. A salesperson told me I was being ridiculous about the poor service and the lack of them not being able to do a simple oil change in 5 hours. I asked for the service manager not in, asked for the GM not in. I was on the phone and telling my partner how I was upset that the oil change was not done. A guy that ID himself as a team lead was trying to find out what was going on. He went outside and I followed as at this point I just needed my car. A sales person came over to me and told me I was being ridiculous.I asked him for his name of course he refused to give it to me. When this sales person said that to me of course I got upset and he was getting right in my face about it.Do you train your staff to upset the customer and then basically challenge them to a fight? I had just referred my brother-in-law and his wife to your dealership this morning to buy an Ioniq 5 but you can bet they are not buying from you now. I am so upset with the treatment of this dealership I am typing this with my middle finger.

After being completely screwed over by another dealership just the week before, we were crazy skeptical but soon realized we were dealing with something completely different. Ive purchased an SUV from them at a great price but I was out $349 for the 3M door edge, handle guards kit that was not supposed to be there from the original agreement, because I was overwhelmed with the $995 paint and leather protection add-on. I had them remove the $995 but slipped through the $349. Friendly people, great price. I do recommend them you just have to pay really close attention to the numbers.Want to change my review to 5 stars on the second purchase which was great.Thank you.

MY FIRST AND LAST TIME BUYING HYUNDAI.I just bought 2023 Hyundai Elantra Limited Hybrid 2 months ago from this dealership. This will be my first and last time buying Hyundai. This is my first Korean car. I had some Japanese and German cars before and never experienced this when buying brand new.Not even driving the Hyundai Elantra for 200 miles on it, rattle sound comes from the dashboard around radio controller area. I told my sales consultant and he said it should go away in no time. I shouldve told that to the service department but I decided to wait after a few miles more hoping it would go away.After a hundred few miles more, some plastic sound appears from the right front and rear passenger door trim. Its like something not tight enough or the plastic is touching. When I open the front window even a little bit, the noise is even worse. It also happens when I turn on the music. I dont listen to music that loud. No one would hear my music from outside my car. Every time the base hits, the plastic sound also following the rhythm.The annoying noise is not enough, the wireless charging does not work. I tried 3 compatible iphone to test it out. It charges and off and on and off. I thought it was just my phone or there’s a button to turn it on. But there’s none. This car is breaking downI deserve what I paid for. It’s a brand new car and I expect everything is good.

I have had good experiences with the Harbor Hyundai service department. I have had a couple of recalls on my Kona Electric and the service department here is exceptional. It is very easy to schedule appointments. Check in is easy and quick. The service advisor keeps me informed of my cars progress by text messages. Each time my car has been returned earlier than promised. My car was returned to me clean and the seats and steering wheel were protected. My service advisor, Jorge, was friendly and knowledgable. Worked with Jake over the period of about 10 days to make sure the new transmission had come in and what days would work best for us to drop the car off to get it replaced. I was expecting something like this to be done in about 2 days but Jake had his repairman work on the install beginning around 10:30 am and I was able to drive it home around 5:15pm that SAME DAY !!!After driving it for the next few days the problem I had with the old transmission was definitely gone so the diagnosis was spot onIts people like Jake that makes coming to Harbor Hyundai with a problem but knowing they always seem to have the correct solution.

Harbor Hyundai Service Department.... as well as the person that made my appointment gets an A plus. I received a text right away confirming my appointment. The person asked the proper questions for my appointment and fit me in right away considering the dealership where I purchased my vehicle was saying I could not fit me in for service for 20 more days due to work overload.I have not been thrilled with the other dealership so I was very pleased to know that Harbor Hyundai was closer to me and available. Scott was my service contact and he was on top of things and checked me in. I explained to him that I do not care much for Cerritos Hyundai because they are disorganized and booked me for the wrong service that led me to go back for another appointment. I explained that I want to feel a trusting relationship with my mechanic and important. I was greeted right away when entering the lot, the sales agent showed me multiple cars until I found the right one. Was upfront about deals and cars where priced pretty close to the Kelly Blue Book value. I was able to get the monthly payment I wanted without leaving a huge deposit. Finance manager was great as well, treated whole family well while shopping.
