(As of May 2023, UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP) We loved the japchae, and spicy pork main dishes. As for our favorite side dishes: chive kimchee, fried tofu, sprouts, and pickle kimchee. The kimchee soon tofu and their #19 weren’t really to our taste but we’ll go back to try their beef and chicken dishes soon. Love that it’s a family-run business.Update: Tried the beef soon tofu and liked it! Also tried their galbi: LOVED IT.

Wonderful little hole in the wall! The food was fast and tasted so fresh and delicious! Wonderful atmosphere and what youd expect out of Korean BBQ. The portion sizes are huge so expect to get a lot for what you pay for. Seating is limited so be aware if you bring a large party!

Cute place for great lunch or dinner. Authentic taste complete with banchan dishes and bi bim bap was classic! We also had the pork teriyaki plates. All dishes came with rice cooked perfectly! Go here for your Korean food fix!

This place is such a hidden gem. Food is absolutely delicious and amazing and the staff is so friendly and hospitable. They make you feel so welcomed, unlike other places where they just look at you like you’re dead. Went for the first time today, but will MOST DEFINITELY be returning again. I got the bulgogi dish with rice and kimchi... It was delicious. The kimchi is authentic and for SLOc that is incredible to find (moving from LA) The place is a little hole in the wall, maybe ran by family? But their service is wonderful. They are really nice. It was raining during my visit but it felt warm and homie inside. I enjoyed it with my husband.

***update 03/2023*** Just a sad shell now if you can catch it when it’s open.Classic example of a place slowly dying. Owners either can’t find workers or aren’t interested it hiring and family must have no interest in helping. Plenty of scripture posted up but no business hours, most light bulbs burnt out, menu board blank, drink dispensing machine broken, just depressing. This place now is exactly what you see when small business owners start to give up and skip out in basic upkeep thinking saving those nickels and dimes are the answer to their lack of income or they see closure in their future and see spending anything for the benefit of the customer is a waste of money.Sounds poor to say, the owners are likely wonderful people, but when businesses can’t respect it’s customers enough to tell me when you’re open, have a prominent menu or even have enough lighting so things are visible I’m out and will have to go somewhere else.Not sure what happened but I know when I found this place back in ‘17 (maybe earlier but I can’t remember) it was quality and at a reasonable price. I’ve been or tried to go to Hana more than a handful of times but they have either been randomly closed, the food was no where near as good as it was or the prices for the quality and quantity of food provided did not justify completing a purchase.

What is going on with the prices at this place? Not only are they exceptionally high even for California but they don’t make sense. No business sets there prices to end in random values like 26, 28, 37, 86, etc cents. You round up or down to the nearest quarter. I thought maybe it was a way to even out sales tax charges making it end in a flat value but that was wrong. Charging $2 extra for BiBimBap in the Stone Bowl makes zero sense as there is nothing different. Cheap business mentality charging more for the serving dish that’s used. They are just nickel and diming is as the customer and providing nothing.Never going back. Food not good enough.

A Korean gem in the middle of Paso Robles, I know its marketed as Japanese because of the teriyaki but the owners and cook are Korean. Its actually pretty amazing clean Korean food, couple this with the nearby hot springs and you are set. The bibimpap was wonderful, you will need to add a good amount of gochujang and maybe a touch of soy sauce, otherwise it was wonderful. Udon broth was more along the line of a mixed Korean gom tang with again a good amount of vegetables. The setting is typical for a mom and pop Korean restaurant, the bible and inspirational verses are a great plus. I see that its their ministry that comes first and the business is secondary. Great place to eat will be coming back when we drive up.

Service was horrible. We came in, the server asked how many people we have. As soon as we told him he already had a bad attitude, sighing and stuff. We didn’t know how to order and we needed help but our server just had a problem. Another customer had a problem with this too. Because of this server we just left. Do not recommend.

New owners. A little bummed that the menu changed and some of the original menu items that were amazing are gone. The prices have doubled since the business was sold, unfortunately it isnt the same.Great hidden spot in town - Owners are great people and their food reflects it. I havent had anything I didnt like yet but my go to is the chicken Dolsot Bibimbap served in a very hot stone bowl that cooks the whole time you eat. If youre on the fence about it I definitely recommend this restaurant.

Taste great, portion is little bit much for my family, lots of selection.My parents visits USA for my sons graduation at Cal Poly SLO and we we looking for Asian food. We found Hana teriyaki from internet and went there.Even my parents from Korea love all foods.We ordered stone hot bibib bob, tofu soup, bulgogi,grilled fish.We 8 groups ordered 7 dishes and food is enough.If you want an authentic Korean restaurant with reasonable price near San Luis Obispo and Paso Robles, I strongly recommend Hana teriyaki.

It used to have great foodToday we ordered dishes of rice, noodles, and soup and they all tasted off $60 spent and could not eat it. We stopped on a road trip because I fancied something healthy and the ratings were great. This place looks like a bit of a hole in the wall but the food was excellent. We both had the bibimbap (one chicken, one pork) based on review recommendations - we had no idea what wed be getting! We were really pleased to see huge bowls of rice, meat and lots of fresh veg arrive. Really fresh, delicious and good value.

This place is fantastic. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. They have quite a varied menu but you cant go wrong with the Korean food. Basically everything I have tried on the menu is good. Always cooked fresh to order and the wait time is never that bad. It does get quite busy but they work hard to keep up.

Love this little gem. We just moved our shop around the corner from this complex so I thought I would give them a try. Boy was I happy I did. I am definitely one of those people if it is supposed to be hot it better be hot and man do they nail it every time. My food comes out steaming and delicious every time. I have been here 5 times in two weeks. Udon Noodles plain, chicken or pork all great. Stir fry outstanding. Pot stickers could be a little more crispy for me but still great. Prices are very reasonable. I am definitely a regular hope you will be too.

I come here regularly and the bibimbop and fried rice are my favorites. Small, family-run restaurant where the cooking is done by the same person. Ive tried most of the menu and everything is delicious. Great food for the money. Its well worth it.

Their food is delicious. You got to try the kimchi I think thats how you say it. Their noodles are great their burgers are great their soup is great, everything about this place is good eatin. The owners are very friendly and sweet and they keep the place clean. I think Ill have to have some Hana Teriyaki for lunch tomorrow.

The guy did not give me my change. Correctly i was already across town to go and get it. 😒gave me one price and the changed i receive wasnt right i asked for a receipt and theirs no info he also gets upset when you ask him for extra ranch even after letting him know that i did not mind paying extra for a few more which is funny because i wasnt asking for free ranch we like the ranch so i did not mind paying for it overall food is ok they definitely need. Over 6 years ago, this place used to be one of the greatest restaurants in the country. It used to be that if you ordered the bulgogi, there was a fairly decent chance you would get, not just a 5 star meal, but something beyond that. Im talking one of those phenomenal, out of this world, I can die happy tonight, this is almost worth killing for experiences. Normally that kind of food experience is not something you can replicate on demand, and Im not saying you got it every time here, but you used to have decent shot at it every time you ordered it.At some point they lost their roots, and it went downhill. Ever since then it tastes more in harmony with the American palette, as in it is too sweet, as in they are copying all the other Asian restaurants in the US that realize most Americans dont actually stop and focus on the sensations they are experiencing while eating, and so the only thing they will notice is Mmm, I notice the flavor if you make it extra sweet. No thank you, I ordered a meal, not dessert!

Excellent Korean food in a friendly atmosphere, one of my new favorites in the area.I ordered the chicken teriyaki after seeing an employee deliver a plate of it to another customer. It came served over rice, and included a good size salad. There are 5 spice options, from mild to spicy hot, so I chose medium. Good choice. Spicy, but just under being too hot for me, and full of flavor. It was a savory teriyaki, with a little tang I’d expect from teriyaki, and extremely well done. It came piping hot, and was good all the way through the meal. Huge portion, you definitely get your money’s worth.The staff was very friendly and easy to converse with. Helpful in selecting your meal options, and full of smiles. Checked in to see how everything was.Great service for a good price and an excellent meal.

This is a really delicious Korean restaurant.The portions are plentiful and the side dishes are neat and delicious. Japchae, green onion kimchi, perilla leaves, and cucumber kimchi are all delicious.I ordered 2 servings of bibimbap, 2 servings of kimchi stew, and 1 bulgogi, but it was too much, so I packed it up (Ill solve it tomorrow morning).I highly recommend it.The owner is also kind.
