Parking: There is plenty of free parking onsite, there is an area behind the hotel for parking but also a giant lot off to the side that is also available, even coming back at 11pm there was no shortage of places to park.Service: The staff here are so kind and welcoming (shoutout to sam) and really made us feel at home. Just fyi there is a fully-refundable $100 service fee you pay when you check in to cover any snacks you might want from their snack bar.Rooms/Environment: This hotel is pretty newly renovated as of 7/24 and everything is very nice and clean. Microwaves are also available upon request if your room does not have one. Great blackout curtains (almost lost track of time because it was so dark in the morning!). Otherwise, the rooms have your basic accommodations, tv, coffee, very nice shampoo + conditioner.Food: The complimentary breakfast here is delicious. I was obsessed with the lemony potatoes and they change their continental offerings every day too. Lots of other choices too: breads, waffles, oatmeal etc. all very tasty. There is also a coffee bar (with tea and hot cocoa) available 24/7 to satisfy your caffeination needs.

Ive stayed a total of 4 weeks at this location. Not a fan of LA and its traffic but this hotel has been a bright spot on my trips. The staff are amazing, specifically Sam! He is attentive, caring, kind and passionate. He always tries to accommodate any request I have, love being on the top floor. He wont let me struggle with my luggage and I watch him take the same care with every other guest that checks in. The lobby and rooms are clean and tidy, beds are ok but Im tough to please. Love the included breakfast. Smaller fitness center but it does the trick. Thank you to you all at Sherman Oaks. This is my last week and I sincerely appreciate you!

The staff is vile and demented …1)I was getting yelled for checking out, and2) being put on hold twice in the middle of call while3)still charging other nights for early check out.Highly recommended for people with anger issue and a large wallet to not care about receiving refunds from services you’re not receiving.

Plenty of parking. Right off of freeway. Breakfast taste okay. Thin walls. We got a call from the reception that guest are complaining because we are jumping. We were all in bed during that time… Theres a Target in front of the hotel and a gas station right next to it

Just spent six nights here while we were visiting our daughter who lives in Valley Village, what a pleasant stay we had. ALL the staff were helpful and most importantly, just really nice. Comfortable, clean and quiet room and a good variety breakfast. We will be visiting our daughter again and will make the Sherman Oaks Hampton Inn our home away from home while in LA.

Clean hotel and friendly front staff.Yes they charge for parking, but you can also do free street parking just across the street.Its very conveniently located within 15min of universal studios.Also includes breakfast (waffles, diff breads, yoghurt, juice, coffee, milk, cereals, egg, sausage/bacon, fruit salad, fresh fruits).

Beautiful hotel. Lobby is appointed in a cozy atmosphere. A hidden gem feel. Room was very clean and comfortable. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Staff are amazing. They were pleasant, courteous and very helpful with getting your room. We came in at 1230am and the staff person buzzed us in and welcomed us with smiles.

I’ve never had a bad check in experience here.But today was next level.Nice gentleman working the front desk names Malekum, was very welcoming.He addressed my Diamond status we cracked a few jokes and he gave me the info about the breakfast and parking and all that, he was also very knowledgeable about the area.The room was clean and it’s a pretty decent size for a hampton inn, that plus the plenty of parking make this place great.Great staff, clean rooms, awesome experience.Sam and Malekum are great.

Not sure if this is a industrial or busy area in LA, wasnt sure of the reason of having hotels around since it didnt seem to have much to do. I stayed here because a family member booked the hotel to be near her place for a road trip next day. This is not nearby any LA attraction so not sure what to say in terms of location.Hotel was very beautiful and modern, I felt very safe and the facility were very new. I enjoyed my stay in here, lobby was very chick, rooms were big and modern and the breakfast area had very nice variety of items to choose. If you need to stay near sherman oaks this is a great place to spend the night.

I have stayed at this Hampton Inn many times and have always found it to be great in all aspects. It is a treat to arrive and greeted by Sameh at the front desk who is always smiling, friendly and very accommodating.The rooms are clean, beds and pillows are just like home and the lobby of the hotel is a great place to hang out. All of the staff goes out of their way to make you feel welcomed. The breakfast is always wonderful and they keep the coffee hot and available 24/7 which is a plus.There are two computers for public use in the lobby as well as a little shop area with drinks, munchies and assorted sundries.Highly recommend this great Hampton Inn.

Looks great post remodel. Room still needed a little work. The heat/ aircon sounded like a train. Went to shower, there was not water,Took me 20 min to reach anyone, he told me to run the water longer. Finally they sent someone on the roof to fix it. Is pet friendly which is nice for pet owners.Would stay again.

Why on my 16th anniversary, The atmosphere was amazing from the moment that we walked into the building. We were met with smiling and friendly personnel, the room very clean the staff very friendly the whole time we was there the service was amazing, the location was great within walking distance from restaurants and about half a mile off the freeway. The security of their guest was very protective of. You must have a key to get in the elevator from the ground floor and after 10:00 p.m. to get in the front door or be buzzed in. I would highly recommend that if you are in Sherman Oaks area stay here..

Hotel was very clean and the room was nice and seemed new or at least recently updated. The breakfast in the morning was great. I knocked a star off because I wouldnt say the location is great. Easy to get to but the area seems rough surrounding the hotel. Down the road is fine its just the direct surrounding area I wouldnt walk around in at night.

Very nice ppl, very hospitable.need more washers and driers or at least the combo unit on every floor, it can get pretty inconvenient when the only one available is in use.breakfast was pretty full and hot with a very good window compared to other hotel breakfast times. however, the food preparers need to know what theyre serving as Im a vegetarian and was told that something was vegetarian when it actually had meat. nonetheless they made up for it by cooking me fresh vegetarian dish.rooms were nice and quiet. neighborhood was decent but overall quiet.SUGGESTION - dont play the news on tv while your guests eat, matter of fact leave the news off for obvious reasons. were here to get away from the reality of life and enjoy our time, not to be brought back to the unfortunate situations of the world.all of the receptionists checking in were very nice and full of a willingness to serve. would like to return.thank you

Well, bad news first. I stayed in this hotel with my family during our vacation trip. As a dimond member I parked my car on the dimond member parking spot right in front of the hotel. In the morning when I started the engine (it was chevy suburban) I realized that catalytic converter was stolen. This part of escape system is pretty expensive so someone desided just saw it out. I was surprised the hotel didnt have any cameras pointed on dimond member parking and it was helpless. I lost part of the day to fix this problem. I am absolutely sure that stuff knew about problems I could have leaving the car there and they still didnt adwise to park the car in the interior parking wich is much safer. So if you stay here, make sure you park inside.Excluding this event, the hotel is in good shape

I could give this place five starts. However, “thanks” to Sam, the front office representative, I would give 0! My daughter has food allergies, so I asked for plain scrambled eggs. So they told me they couldn’t because the kitchen would be closed in ten minutes. So I said ok, you have ten minutes. They said no! I said, but I do see you made for other people here. So Sam said to me: look, you have other stuff. The other stuff was all pork. I told him we are Jewish, we don’t eat pork, and my daughter has a dairy allergy. So he raised his voice at me and said, NO, and I dont care with a bad attitude. And he sent my husband a bagel with cheese and ham and said this is not pork and tried to convince my husband to eat it! Which is pork!!! Then, I heard loud Arabic music in the lobby, and the whole picture became clear. He knew we were Jewish / Israelis, and thats why he treated us like that. Too bad. I like Hilton Hotels, and it is too bad they let employees treat clients like that due to their hate!

My husband and I stayed here while visiting our son who lives in Valley Glen. The location is amazing, so easy to get onto Sepulveda and on your way. Close to freeway, centrally located in the San Fernando Valley. Everyone was so friendly. My husband is disabled and the person at the desk checking us in permitted us to park in the Diamond parking area because we left our disabled parking placard in our car back home in Oregon. Our room was very clean and spacious (Accessible King with roll-in shower). I really liked that there was a front sitting area away from the bed area. We were able to visit with our son in the room. (Our sons apartment has stairs, husband couldnt climb those). All in all, a really good stay. If you can, stay on the 4th floor for a view of the surrounding neighborhood, mountains, etc.

Good hotel for the price. Clean room, well maintained property and free standard breakfast. There is a Target also right across the street. The only reason for 4 star is the service at the front desk. I requested for a room on the other side of the main road, but despite of the request (and the hotel not being busy) I was given a road facing room which was noisy. I was later told that the receptionist was new and got confused.

Stayed one night while in town on business. I stay here several times per year. The staff were all friendly and very accommodating. The bed was ok with a good choice of pillows. The heat/ ac unit worked great. The room was clean. Breakfast was good, offering cheese omelets, sausage, oatmeal, and waffles. Really, my only complaint was that I was give. A room with a connecting room. The door between the two rooms offered no sound proofing. I could hear the neighbor’s entire conversations and even hear the toilet flush. It made it a challenge to get to sleep until they went to sleep. Otherwise, I had a good stay.

Stayed here with family in October. We only spent one night and got there well past midnight. The building is right off the highway, has onsite parking, and the door is locked after a certain time requiring either your room key or the someone at the front desk to let you in. This a good feature- too bad my digital room key was not working on the app and no one was answering the door bell. Had to call the hotel itself to be let in. The gentleman at the front desk was not the most welcoming at the start but after I explained that I had called to say I would be coming late (not to mention that I had also let the person who helped me book my stay as well) he gave me 2 physical room keys since the app was not working and something to place on the dashboard of our car. I suffer from a bad back but this was the best hotel bed I have ever slept in! I slept like a baby. Our shower had a leak in the neck of the shower head that made the walls, floor and toilet tissue wet. I let someone at the front desk know. The breakfast was varied and plentiful. The breakfast area could be better configured to accommodate more people but this is a minor thing. Overall it was a pleasant stay and I would recommend this hotel if you are driving through and need a pit stop.

We flew into van Nuys for work and stayed here for 2 nights. It was a convenient location and an easy location for us to go to work. The hotel was clean and the night manager Sonny was helpful and friendly. He was extremely amazing. check in process was a breeze. There are plenty of options for food right near the hotel. After being mistreated at a nearby hotel, we stumbled upon the Hampton Inn & Suites by luck. From the moment we entered, we were treated so kindly by the staff members there at midnight (Jesus & Sonny).The hotel is very clean, the rooms and toiletries are in great condition, the breakfast is the best Ive had at a 3-star hotel, and the people working there are very very friendly (cant stress this enough; Hala who was the head of housekeeping was always on top of things with her team and going the extra mile). The lobby area is very modern and comfortable with several phone and laptop charging ports; so many positives to list, with no negatives whatsoever.I highly recommend staying at this hotel if you are looking for a place to stay in the Valley. Its in a safe neighborhood, within walking distance to a Target and a Costco.

Stayed from 9/5 - 9/8. The staff was outstanding in every way. Starting with Jonathan and Noor at the from desk. They were very courteous and professional in providing outstanding customer service. Ron the maintenance person was prompt in replacing a burnt out light. The housekeeping staff provided meticulous service in maintaining our room. My wife had spine surgery so she required a lot of rest and your hotel personnel made it very comfortable for her. Steve in the dining area insured that the buffet items were always available and he kept his area spotless. Recommend your staff be given a raise or bonus in providing selfless customer service above and beyond their normal duties. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you and kudos to your staff.

Very bad and dangerous neighborhood with human fecal matter and garbage all-over the streets. The hotel was nice but the cost was way to much for area it is in. I was worried about my vehicle in the parking areas as vandalism seems likely in the area. Nice sitting area and the rooms were nice. Breakfast was alright and coffee was great!

Where do I begin, I believe that as a Diamond member, a certain level of customer service should be expected. We were here looking for an extended stay rate, and eventually found another location that gave us a better rate and it had better accommodations. Parking here is a nightmare and many of the cars did not have the parking pass displayed in the car. They also had hotel staff parking in the designated Diamond member spots and staff also parked in front of the hotel where Jesus, indicated the LAPD, may tow us, but not staff??? When I first encountered Jesus, he yelled at me and became too verbose about nothing, my last encounter with Jesus was about the entry way door that was not working. He yelled and told me not to enter that way again when I had just seen other guest enter without incident. Jesus shared that he had been working there for 40 years, perhaps another round of customer service training is warranted.

We had a great time at the Hampton inn at Sherman oaks. Hotel was clean, quiet and well kept. The room was large and comfortable. All staff we encountered were professional and courteous. Breakfast was normal Hampton buffet and really good each day. I wish there was a pool but we knew there wasnt when we booked so no worries. I would have no problem staying here again on our next visit to California. Thank you.

Wife & I stayed at the Hampton Sherman Oaks for two nights while we toured LA from Malibu to Hollywood & UCLA. The front desk agent Vishad, was easily the most helpful, pleasant and kind hotel agent that Ive ever encountered. So that helped us have a great beginning. Our room was very nice along with the large shower and nice toiletries available to us. Also, the included breakfast offered was extremely nice and the two on duty staff were very helpful. We needed a few extra washcloths, phoned the front desk and we had them and more within a few minutes. Available free parking was great to not have additional fees tacked onto our bill. A certain amount of time after dark, the lobby doors require your room card to enter as does the elevators at all hours for added safety. The Sherman Oaks area seems VERY nice and presumably safe. A Target store is just a few blocks away to obtain items you may have forgotten. All in all a great location and experience for our sightseeing in the LA area. No doubt that we would stay here again.

We were visiting family in LA while passing through to Joshua Tree in a jeep loaded with gear. The hotel was everything we needed, quiet, super comfy, secure and supportive. Parking was free and secure so we could come and go as we pleased, a simple breakfast was included and the staff was so helpful. My traveling partner needed the whitenoise of a fan to sleep and and Sam at the front desk came through with a small fan from the office. This was above and beyond and saved our trip! Thanks Sam!!! Heads up on this facility. This economy located hotel but not economy price could be a decent place to stay but the hotel supervisor was extremely unprofessional and rude. I can’t say the same for the other staff not having interacted with them but culture spreads down. I would never consider having any stay or event in this place as long as he was in authority.

The hotel is has modern style. Very updated. Clean and simple. The dining area for breakfast is clean, organized and food selection is not bad at all. Lots of seating areas at the lobby with enough distancing if needed. A cozy fireplace too by the seating area. There are also seating area outside if you prefer to have breakfast outdoor. The level where we were at has a sitting area by the elevator sort of a “mini lobby”.The bed is comfortable. Room is clean as well a the bathroom.I just notice a small brown stain on one of the bed covers.. maybe it was just a stubborn stain or whatever but overall experience is great.It’s also a quick access to the freeway.

Parking our SUV w/ a 6x12 trailer wasn’t hard their parking lot had the space to accommodate us and parking was free. I also really liked that they have the Diamond Member parking spots right next to the main entrance, looks real V.I.P.Upon entering the hotel, the lobby is nicely decorated with modern furniture and lots greenery, it felt very welcoming. Also, we arrived late at night around 12:30am and the front desk representative automatically put us in for late checkout which was very thoughtful.We had 2 rooms on the 4th floor and as we exited the elevator there was a nice sitting area with a long curvy couch, very chic. The halls leading to the rooms were well lit and not dark and dingy at all.The rooms were clean and the beds/pillows were comfortable. However, the only issue we had was our tub/shower combo in 414 needed to be repaired. The stopper in the shower did not work properly so when we pulled the stopper up to start the shower the tub was also filling up. The next morning I told the front desk representative and he made a note of it.Overall I would stay at this hotel again, 9 out of 10 I recommend.Note: Breakfast was complimentary but we didn’t get up for breakfast.

Stayed for 2 nights while visiting friends in the area. The location of this hotel was great for meeting up with our group, but not for any sightseeing; definitely recommend a hotel closer to the city if you’re looking for that.The room itself was fine, but the price tag for 2 nights was a little steep. I’ve stayed in similar hotel rooms for about half of what I paid, but I guess that’s expected? Only major complaint was that our air conditioner smelled like it was on fire when we turned on the heat.Breakfast and amenities were fine, very typical of a Hampton and why I enjoy staying with them. Overall I’m neutral about this stay, nothing too bad and nothing really exceptional.

Because my friend asked him in Spanish if he had rooms available and he started yelling like a madman that he had no rooms available for some disgusting Latinas so I told him to tell me his name and that made him even more upset and he said no!I told him again tell me your name and he said SAME (SAM) with a scream that saliva jumped out of his mouth in my friends face and then my friend started crying and the man, increasingly upset, yelled that Latinos are trash and that we returned to our miserable countries.That people like us should not be in this country was terrible zero stars for the kind of discriminatory, racist, aggressive and unhappy person.Definitely (SAM) has problems with his mental health.

I chose this location because they advertised an indoor pool. When I asked, they said the pool closed 2 years ago. Its still on the website. Free breakfast where you make your own waffles. Brochures for local entertainment are kept in an out of way in a hallway that isnt used. Im not pleased with these things

We stayed only for one night but will definitely be returning. Upon arriving, we were greeted by Vassar (I think I misspelled his name) who gave us our room, explained about the breakfast, and offered directions to anywhere near there. Once we were in the room, he called a few hours later to make sure that we had what we needed to be comfortable. At night, Jesus helped us as we were looking for a place to eat. This was a great hotel during my family and Is stay in LA. Loved the warm feeling of walking into the hotel lobby and seeing all of the decor that really invokes the vibes of LA such as revealing photos of Hollywood/media culture in the surrounding city area. The front desk staff were helpful and friendly. Everything in the hotel was clean, freshly remodeled. Also, I was quite surprised with the hotel bringing back the hot breakfast buffet, plenty of lobby seating areas and the guest rooms were large depending if you are staying in a studio or a regular guest room. This location is very close to the Getty Center and very close access to the 405 freeway. If you are ever in the LA area I would recommend staying at this hotel!

The gentleman at the front desk (Kostas) made me feel like VIP immediately upon arrival. From the moment I walked in, he explained how he took the liberty of upgrading my room, gave me the rundown of how the hotel operates, and even made recommendations to some good restaurants nearby. Bumped into him on the elevator a couple of hours later and, to my surprise, he remembered my name! Its small details like this that make a difference in any industry. This Hampton Inn and Suites is a beautiful hotel with a California theme. The front desk informed me that it was redecorated recently and I loved the style! We only stayed 1 night, but the staff was very friendly and accommodating. For safety, you are required to use your room key when going on the elevator from the ground floor.The rooms are large with plenty of space. Room includes a small fridge which is useful. It had all the basics you would expect in a hotel room like closest, cups, AC, small desk, coffee etc.Hotel offers complimentary breakfast which is open at this time but not fully. The hotel itself is very nice. The parking spots are well lit with very bright lights. The area was loaded with homeless people, but not necessarily the hotels fault. The person that checked us in was confused about other guests and thought maybe we were from Brazil. She obviously had is completely mixed up with other guests. She checked my ID several times as a result. She probably didnt check the ID of the party before us that she was confused about. She even called the room we picked via the Hilton app to make sure nobody was already in the room. A little scary. The digital key card on the phone only seems to work near the room, but not for calling the elevator, so you would still need a physical key card to use the elevator.

We stayed here for our trip to Universal Studios. The complimentary breakfast was good. We stayed in a two queen room that was very spacious. Unfortunately, we found two very small bugs crawling around in the bathtub. We informed the front desk about the bugs but since the hotel was full we had to stay in our room or find another hotel. The GM was suppose to contact us about what would be done but other than the initial email saying that he would contact us the next day, he never followed up. My guess was that the bugs crawled in through the tub spout which wasnt sealed to the shower wall. The bathroom needs remodeling as there are small cracks here and there. This place is a mess. Stayed there for 3 days. They couldn’t provide me with a key to either of the rooms we had because (their system is down) so every day after working 12 hours we had to stand and wait for someone to come toThe front desk, sometimes up to 20 minutes. So they can physically walk us up to our rooms and let us in with their key cards. The last day they tried to tell me our reservations were over, I even showed them my Hotels.com confirmation email. They said their system shows it different. Btw their system is hand written notes in aNotepad. I am extremely disappointed with how my stay ended. Everything was fine until day of check out. Both my Hilton Honors app and the front desk confirmed check out at 11am. At 10am we had 2 employees knocking aggressively at our door, which had a do not disturb sign put out. They acted like we were there past check out, which we were not. Bottom line, I spent 48,000 points for the room and deeply regret it. This Hampton Inn & Suits does not abide by the Hilton make it right policy. Kristina at the front desk said sorry, but offered nothing to compensate for a poor experience. Really, any small gesture would have been appreciated. Zankou chicken right next door is delicious, the convenience store next door is also bigger than it looks from the outside (there is a small store in the lobby too), the Target right down the street has anything you might need. The rooms are large for a Hampton Inn, and there are nice, big lounges on each floor if you need a change of scenery. Breakfast tends to get crowded early on weekends. The service is always excellent, Ive met some of the most professional people Ive seen at any Hilton property.

The AC in my room was broken/ making loud noises. And then it was the cable but that was easily fixed. I didnt want to keep jumping rooms because it was already late but the next day the room service never came through nor did maintenance. So I only stayed the 2 nights. Private parking lot too but the gas station stores arent open at night.

Not bad of a hotel. Its near the park and golf course. Target and Cvs across the street too. Get a room that does not face the street if you are a light sleeper. Parking can be limited. The hotel and room were clean but my door was misaligned. I could see the hallway through the door jamb. This allowed a lot of noise from the hallway to enter. Lots of channels on the tv too. Breakfast is limited but there is a dennys across the intersection though.

There is a a delay in going to your room due to a slow running elevator and that only one elevator is in service due to the fact that the 2nd elevator is in of repair. One elevator is inconvenient its the only way to the rooms. Other than taking the stairs. I was told that it has been out of service for the past 3 months. Very clean, rooms seem to be smaller compared to comparable hotels. Each floor has a large lounging area for guests. The Staff is curtious and helpful. One of the best perks is that they serve a full breakfast .

If I could leave zero stars, I would. Because after a long day of driving on the road, I went into the front desk to get some water while waiting on my dispatcher to let me know if I was staying the night, and the lady at the front desk (a light-skinned woman with glasses) sent a man to kick me out for simply sitting and using the bathroom while waiting for a call and told me I had to get off the property or I will get arrested.

Pros: -very clean room and bathroom and very clean hotel overall -really friendly staff -free breakfast was on the better end of hotel breakfasts Ive had -bagged breakfasts to go were a nice perk that I took advantage of when I had to leave early for the airport Cons: -bed wasnt very comfortable (this is something I really care about so its a major con for me) -one of the two elevators was always out of service, and when they were working I always got the vibe that they were on the verge of breaking down - the hairdryer in the rooms was pretty pitiful; both mornings I have up after my hair was about 70% dry Overall, a fairly pleasant stay with the major exception of the uncomfortable bed. If you prefer beds to be on the very firm side you may not mind.

The hotel is located close to the corner of Burbank and Sepulveda, across from a coin/pawn shop. There is a fair amount of parking, and half of the back parking is for compact cars. They have an indoor swimming pool that is 5ft deep on one end to 3ft on the other end. They also have a workout room that contain three running machines and a set of weights. The breakfast is pretty nice. There is usually eggs (scrambled, and one day was an omelette), a meat (breakfast sausage, sliced sausages), and potatoes (roasted sliced, mixed with bell peppers). There is also oatmeal, make your own waffles, bagels, muffins, fruit, toast, small single serve yogurts. Good stuff. Rooms are so spacious, it makes the TV look tiny. Restrooms are okay, could use a bit nicer job on grouting and sealing fixtures. Bed is alright. There are plenty of power outlets. They have Neutragena branded soaps and shampoos. Towels are good and fluffily absorbent.

Needed activity for child too young to do Warner Bros studio tour so willing to pay more for rooms and chose different location than we preferred to have access to indoor POOL. The rooms and staff are top notch, as is the breakfast provided every morning. My main complaint is the fact that most of the parking spots end up in the line of fire of their sprinkler system, which has caused a bit of etching and damage to my car’s paint. Very frustrating and surely the sprinkler system is not needed for what amounts to something that can be hand watered in five minutes.

Finding 2 bugs in the room(where my kids were sleeping on) its not a joke. One bug was on the ceiling and the other on the bed. I reported and found out they were already aware of bugs in rooms.

What a disgrace !! Cut my foot on glass in the bathroom. Then the following day found more glass. Asked the General Manager to contact me regarding the glass found the 2nd time…waited a week…no call…..after another e-mail request to contact me I got a call. Hotel offered to give my points back and then they called me back and after offering me the full amount would only give me half.
