Review based on our eight night stay this trip. Staff were courteous and friendly. Room was newly updated and spacious. Morning breakfast option have improved in quality. I am a gold member. But, Newer hotel policy of not providing full daily service cleaning for the (upgraded) room is problematic for us. Even though we requested full daily service, we needed to call down most nights for fresh towels and trash removal. We also experienced dog barking from several rooms during our stay. Not sure the reason for so many pets allowed on the same floor. These issues may not be an problem for some on just an overnight stop. With other lodging options at this price point, we will consider alternate accommodation on our next visit of more than an overnight.

Hampton inn had a room for us last minute and we had a cat as well. They were kind, efficient, and quick to get us situated. On our way out my little toddler got to say to roughly 45 (I stopped counting at 40) firefighters from the Oroville fire. I love that this hotel is able to take them in while they are on the front line. ❤️

We stayed one night as a stop between Yosemite and the coast. It was okay. Carpet was torn and so was the office chair. View was non-existent. Breakfast was decent.

I generally love Hampton Suites but this one changes that. I had a clogged toilet and reported it to the desk. The male from the desk went to get a plunger and when he came to my room instead of fixing he problem he handed me the plunger and expected me to do it. This might be ok at a Motel 6 but not for a Hilton property.Very disappointed.

So let me say for the price, this place is very worth it. We stayed here for only $100 so, remember you get what you pay for.Pros:Staff is warm, friendly, and energetic. They seem happy to be there and enthusiastically support customers (except for maybe pool cleaning). Nice location but a pain to leave the site (right turn only). Not a bad place to stay.Cons:So while the rooms were clean enough, the pool and hot tub were filthy (see pictures). The front desk assured us we they get cleaned every day, however the scum stuck on there says otherwise. There were chunks of stuff floating in there, and the pool was cloudy. This isnt from one day...everything is caked on there. I felt really gross being in the hot tub and pool.😬In closing, its a decent place. I could come back but I wouldnt swim in anything there unless its cleaned up.

We had an amazing stay. I had surgery and needed a place to recover. The staff was very accommodating and even had a wheelchair ready and available. The beds were firm but not hard which is what I was looking for in a mattress. We also needed a lot of extra pillows and they were so kind to accommodate us.

Very nice hotel, was pleasantly surprised. Much nicer than some high end resorts I’ve stayed at. The complimentary breakfast was very good and had a wide array of options available. The beds and pillows were comfy and clean. I do have to mention that the floor is very dirty from guests dirty shoes, our socks were stained with dirt (as expected). Definitely bring slippers / socks for your stay. Also, the coffee machine is in the bathroom. What?? That was definitely strange and gave us a good laugh. We did not end up making any coffee LOL. Love the large fridge and microwave. That was a big plus. Location is great and very close proximity to food and shopping. We ended up walking to have dinner. Would definitely return! We enjoyed our stay.

Not worth the price. The rooms are very small. The hotel interior is ugly. Its one step above days inn. My boyfriend described it perfectly saying, its not up to Hampton standards. The staff was very nice. The pool was a mess. Literally we chose this hotel for the pool but for $300 a night you think that you could keep the pool area clean. They literally have junk around the pool. The safety bar of the pool had fully rusted off. My daughter slipped and fell in the pool. She wasnt hurt but we let staff know. By the next morning they had closed the pool and begun repairs. The free breakfast was small but the kids loved it. I almost slipped in the bathroom because the tile suck and they dont give you bath mats. I forgot my razor the front desk gave me a free razor and shaving cream. I didnt know hotels did that. It was a good time but the price just wasnt worth it.

Room was comfy. Staff were nice. Location perfect. Gym was great with a variety of equipment all to yourself as it was rarely used by guests. The pool is small but perfect for little kids, elderly or disabled...they have hoist equipment for lowering the disabled. The hot tub is perfect after a tiring day. Breakfast is okay... scrambled eggs or omelette with sausages waffles, toasts, bagels, apple/banana, cereals, etc...all the usual fare. Overall a nice hotel.

Double hold on my card despite leaving due to bugs on the mattress in room 525, smashed food on the ottoman, and mold in the bathrooms-this place is so desperately in need of a total overhaul and fumigation. The two rooms I tried both smelled bad. Both were not cleaned well. Beds werent made well. Front desk was very nice but nice doesnt make up for an infestation of what I was later told were carpet beetles on the mattress. 🤮

Was told could have one time for a late checkout when I called the hotel but then was told an hour earlier when I arrived, which did not work for our plans. Need consistency. Reasoning I could not have the later checkout was because the hotel was very busy so needed the room, yet, I was able to pay for another night immediately. Though they discounted slightly, I had to pay for another night to accommodate our plans. Thankfully, appears we ended being charged for only one night at checkout as there was a different person checking us out, which was greatly appreciated. Still need some consistency though. Also tub did not drain properly but otherwise clean.

Clean place, comfortable beds (but not the sofa pull out bed- that is as expected- very uncomfortable w/ thin mattress and the frame), decent pool area with good amount of seating and a small, fenced outdoor area. plenty of clean towels. the jets in hot tub need to be better, could use some cleaning or refinishing, but overall, its a pool decent area. the complimentary breakfast is decent. the staff are pleasant and accommodating, the location is perfect to have a variety of food outside of the hotel and venture out to find things to do and see. short drive to cinemas/shopping/eateries. We stay here every time we go to Apple Hill in Camino, Ca. its about 25 min drive. theyre just as good as their Embassy Suites chain.

Overall, it was a nice experience. The breakfast menu was different every morning and very delicious. The comforter and pillows were comfy and cozy. The facilities/janitorial staff were great at clearing the trash we set outside our room door and also quick in responding to our requests for more towels and sheets. The location is perfect and surrounded by great restaurants and grocery stores.The reason I took 2 stars away is because the pool and hot tub did not look well maintained. Our room looked a bit outdated. I usually am given an option on the app to choose which room I would like to stay in but during this stay, the hotel chose it for me. When we first arrived, the lady at the front desk was not very inviting and even when we would pass through the lobby it was the same reaction from her and a different lady. Not sure why but I hope its not because of our race or that my son is autistic and could be a bit loud when walking down the hall. But as mentioned, overall, it was a nice experience.

Worst Hilton owned hotel I have ever stayed out. Staff is rude the halls and rooms feel like a sauna. The place is so loud that you cant even sleep. Dont stay close to the pool its open tell 12am and its a party out there. The front desk wont do anything about excessive noise coming from peoples rooms. If you like to sweat and not sleep this is the place for you.

We checked in and the room was hot. We spoke to the staff who offered us a box fan. Temperature was 70 and not cooling down. Then received a call at 930pm to say there was a noise compliant (which was not us) and they had to call every room. We have three children who were in bed sleeping when the call came. Talked to the front desk because of the heat and compliant and the front staff was rude and didnt care. Said they were doing their job. We come to California twice a month for work and will never stay here again. Totally incompetent. I think motel 6 would be better at this point.

I had a fantastic stay here. The front desk staff were super friendly and helpful. The room was clean and much more spacious than I expected. The A/C worked great, which is important in Folsom in July. On the third floor, it was very quiet, even on the weekend. The interior is somewhat dated, but they nailed the important parts (clean, quiet, comfortable).

Average by Hampton standards. Would have liked more flexibility in a late check out, even when willing to pay extra for it. Rooms were fine. Location is good for the malls and Costco nearby. Breakfast is typical of Hampton Inn with a couple protein options, eggs in some fashion, sausage or bacon, and typical bread and cereal offerings. Pool and spa were closed when we came which is either by design or fluke because it was a swim meet and softball tournament weekend and would have been crazy.

We had a great stay here - value for money, clean rooms, comfortable beds, good breakfast selection. They offer bagels, muffin, waffles, eggs, sausages, oatmeal and fruits. Wifi was fast and strong. Guest can also do their own laundry for free here. Fitness Center was compact and adequate for an upper body workout/cardio.

I had a week of self-driving tour and this hotel had the worst experience. The hotels hair dryer is too old, and after taking it out, it cannot be fixed securely, and it is easy to slide down and hit your toes.

Great location in a growing area, right off of the highway. Plenty of shops and restaurants in close proximity and about 20-25 minutes outside of downtown Sacramento. Open free parking. The staff is really nice and there is a breakfast each morning, two of which change daily. The rooms have mobile key entry and you choose your room prior to visiting. Nice size fitness center, also a pool. The King room is cozy with a small fridge. One small disappointment was that the on-screen channel guide does not match the actual channels.

Clean hotel but definitely in need of a refresh. Furniture in the public areas is pretty beat up and not very clean. Super slow elevator so we took the stairs all the time. Decent pillows and mattresses, very small TVs. Nice quiet AC units. The breakfast was quite a let down. Very limited choices. The scrambled eggs looked like they were ground in a food processor after they were cooked and very bland. Some of the worst coffee ever. Pool was closed which they did not mention when I placed the reservation. Very nice helpful staff though. Close to many restaurants and shops.

The location was great, close to the freeway, restaurants and stores such as Costco.There was plenty of parking. The staff was pleasant to work with and provided an easy and quick check in/out process.The room was clean and comfortable. Not the best stay at all. Our athletic team was staying at this hotel and all of our keys failed to work 5 minutes after we received them from the front desk. After being reprogrammed, 2 hours later, and they didn’t work again. Very disappointing. The pool complex is also closed until May 31st. Breakfast was actually better than expected, fresh waffles and more options than usual. Overall not the best stay though, and, for the money, you can find much better.

This is a great, clean hotel. Quiet and comfortable - nothing too fancy, but perfect for a short stay. I was particularly happy to have a contactless check-in option, and glad to see a couple of alcohol wipes next to the remote! Front desk employees and staff was AMAZING! Very welcoming. Our room and bathroom was clean and fresh smelling. They have lysol wipes all throughout the hotel as well. Pool is open BUT you have to make a reservation and you get an hour. My daughter had a blast. Was able to swim the day we checked in, and got an hour in the morning before checkout. Breakfast is still served but its not buffet right now. Still had plenty of options. I loved our little 2 day staycation here. They took great care of us!

Comfortable beds, convenient, kids friendly and nice staff. We stayed here for 3 days. I really like the Neutrogena toiletries, that was a plus. Continental Breakfast was included and it was not bad. My kids enjoyed the swimming pool and there were clean swimming pool towels available. Vending machine is also available. Housekeeping is available upon request. Coffee, hot water and tea available 24 hours. There is also a gym. Elevator was old and noisy but worked. Overall I was pleased staying here and will come back.

The only reason I gave them 5 stars was because we didn’t have control over the thermostat in the room. The front desk employees are absolutely rude as can be. They speak to you as if they have no formal training in customer service when you have a concern. This hotel pre authorized my card for 4 separate charges during my stay of only 2 days. The check in charge was $412, the next day I received a charge for $196, the last day I received a charge for $201 and once I checked out another for $50. After calling to ask why the lady over the phone was completely irritable with my questions and my concerns on why there was so many multiple charges. I even asked during my stay several times and all they would say was they are just pre authorized charges and will fall off, I dont know why they are there. What kind of answers are those? I will not be staying at this hotel ever again. I recommend you dont either.

I am a Canadian traveling for business. This review is directed towards those who are in a similar position.--The work capability isn’t extremely reliable unless you pay for the premium version. However, surfing the web and emails will be just fine. Videos or downloading files may take a while on the free version.-If you plan on staying longer, connect with the staff and team on site! They’re very warm and welcoming to all travelers. They will make your stay much more enjoyable. Ask for the manager Chuck and he’ll be there whenever you need something. The front staff are also very helpful so don’t be shy!-Je me souviens!

Nice clean rooms, that function as they should. Everything is orderly, the check in was quick and overall we were happy with our single night stay. The only areas that could be better was the mini fridge was barely cooler than the room making storing babys milk a bit concerning and the carpet could be cleaner too, after her bath babys feet were a little dirty from walking it on it before bed. Breakfast is offered with options so youre sure to find something to enjoy.

Over all stay was wonderful and will go back to stay again. The breakfast offered had a nice variety to choose from. Pool area was clean and well maintained. The workout room which I used daily was clean and also well maintained.The only draw back was the original room we had, the heat didnt work. We ended up changing rooms to a room with heat that actually worked. We were not compensated for the inconvenience. We didnt ask but it would have been nice for it to be offered from personal.

The woman at the front desk is was very warm and welcoming even though we were checking in very late. She got us into our rooms quickly, which was greatly appreciated. The room was nice. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows were perfect for me. Thanks to COVID-19 the normal breakfast process is out, but at least it was a hot breakfast that helped kick off a busy day. I will be back in Folsom next week and will for sure stay there again.

We stayed here on the last night of a week-long trip and almost breathed sighs of relief to get to a place where everything worked as promised. (We’d has some issues at our previous hotel.)This hotel is very modern, clean and welcoming. The staff was friendly, and they make check in and check out very easy and quick. staff. Even though it’s next to the highway, you don’t hear any noise. We all slept soundly. In the morning, we ate heartily at the included breakfast buffet. While many hotels offer a no-frills continental breakfast, this one had something for everyone - fresh fruit, make-your-one waffles, eggs and potatoes, baked goods, Greek and regular yogurt, and even three flavors of fresh pressed fruit juice.The pool and whirlpool areas are large and clean as well. A lot of hotels have tiny pools that are only fit for kids splashing around. While this one isn’t made for lap swimming, it’s long enough that you could do some laps if you wanted to.We would definitely stay here again.

When we checked into our room it smelled musty, but we let this slide as we would only be there for 2 nights and only in the room to sleep. The first night the toilet chain broke, making it impossible to flush the toilet except to remove the lid and manually do it. The front desk said that no one could come fix it until the next day. The next morning as we were waiting for maintenance, a roach appeared crawling around on the floor. This is when we requested a new room. The front desk pushed back on this but finally agreed to the request. However, since it was 9am they said a room wouldnt be available until a later in the day. This wasnt a huge deal since we were preparing to leave to attend my grandfathers funeral. As a courtesy the front desk told us to pack up our belongings and put everything on a luggage cart and they would move it over as soon as the new room was available. Once we returned later in the day, the new room was ready however no one has moved our luggage over. My final comment in on the complimentary breakfast. The omelets were obviously a frozen item with no taste and the sausage links had a terrible consistency. I expected more from a Hampton Inn facility but I 100% will not consider staying at any of their properties in the future.

I would not stay here again. This is the loudest hotel I have ever stayed at. The room door and the bathroom door are so heavy, you can hear the whole hallway enter and leave their rooms. You can here your neighbors enter and leave their bathroom and it your neighbors have kids....good luck getting any sleep.The king bed itself was very old and uncomfortable. The linens were not cozy and we ended up borrowing a soft blanket from my parents house.The breakfast was good though and parking was free. You get what you pay for with this hotel but honestly, as a bargain/frugal person, this was not worth the cost savings.

I stayed at this hotel earlier this week. I really loved how safe, convenient and clean the location is. Also, the room we booked was incredibly roomy and clean. This hotel is really close to a shopping mall with many restaurants and retail stores. The breakfast bar is amazing! I also liked the little store at the front desk that sells quality snacks and beverages. I would highly recommend! Great location for a fair price.

Rooms had wall paper pealing off the wall and smelled funky. Can reserve pool times for safer swimming during the pandemic, however the pool is inside and they force you to share it with up to 10 other people so no social distancing can actually take place. Breakfast was less than edible and the staff does not turn in personal items that have been left behind. Trashes outside do not get emptied for days so there is trash spewing all over and no good way to dispose of your pets mess. Overall very disappointing stay. Will not be back to give it another try.

Had a very nice stay for one night. We got a suite room and it was spacious, clean, and well maintained. They hotel staff were very friendly and the free hot breakfast was a nice bonus. I also liked that the shower head was high enough I didnt have to stoop to wash my hair. On the downside, the walls and doors were kind of thin. You could hear people talking through doors, snoring through walls, and walking around on the floor above. I personally didnt find it that bad and slept just fine. I would stay here again.

Note that Empire Ranch Road is closed for construction. This was the connection to Placerville Road that normally goes under the highway bridge. Placerville Road is torn up for construction in some sections too, near the hotel, so you temporarily have to use E. Bidwell to get into and out of the hotel location area.

I have stayed here many times over the last 4 years and due to Covid it had been a year and 3 months since I have been back and I am disappointed. The great breakfast they usually have they dont anymore. I understand that Covid probably had a huge financial impact on the business so I will let that one go. But the rooms and furniture were visibly dirty. The chairs outside the elevator I wouldnt even sit on. The desk chairs in the room are so old and worn looking along with the furniture. I feel like they have had enough down time to keep up on those things and things should at least appear to be clean. One of the tables downstairs in the lobby area had food all over it on Saturday night then the next morning it was still like that! Nobody bothered to clean it off. They offer hot coffee still but no hot water for tea or hot chocolate. I am not sure if I will stay here again which makes me sad because I loved staying here.

We checked in on Friday May 13 to room 436. Awaken middle of the night with itching and saw some bites on back, arms and hands. Thought it was mosquito bites. By Saturday afternoon, swollen up badly, itching crazy. Went to pharmacy to get evaluation and bought some medication. Went back to hotel room and inspect the bed, to much horror, saw some really small dark colored bugs. Couldn’t tell it those are bedbugs among the clustered of past guest hairs under the mattress cover. Bought the “ bugs” to front desk and asked to change room, showed the extremely swollen bites. Changed to room 333, checked very carefully. Needed to stay in town for an event, until Monday.Asked for pest inspection for that room, but as per Monday night ( May 16), we were told that the pest company did not show up. So, we are posting this review because we are very concern for future hotel guests herre. We don’t know what is the industry standard for pest / bugs/ insect in rooms for hotel, but they were informed on Saturday and nothing done to inspect the room after so many days. We hope they will call us tomorrow, as all our belongings still in travel luggages/ bags, wrapped in large trash bags.

Pretty good hotel. The only thing is the pillows. I would highly recommend bringing your own pillow. I woke up with a terrible neck ache and back pain. My last stay here was far much better, the pillows in the first room I stayed in were comfortable and did not cause me pain. This time we decided to upgrade to an extended suite. Although there is much more room it is not worth the extra $30-$40.Overall it is a good hotel. They serve good breakfast and have a pool and hot tub.The staff here is a hit or a miss. We experienced both ends of customer service last week. Priceline lost our reservations and after 3 phone calls from Priceline they where little to no help. We send an email to the front desk at the hotel and within minutes we had a response back from Mo. She assured us they would make it work and get us a room. We arrived at 1 am and while Mo wasnt there she communicated this issue with the person on duty. It was a quick check in and we where in our room. The next day when we where unable after multiple calls to get Priceline to make this right Mo was patient and understanding and tried to do everything she could do. This weekend was a very stressful one with my mother being terminally ill in the hospital. MOs ability to do her job and communicate with staff took some of the stress away. We cannot thank her and the staff enough for this. We will for sure be back.

Upon arriving the staff was very unfriendly. I was not welcomed when I walked in because the lady at the front desk was busy chit chatting with her coworker. I waited for a while before she even acknowledged me, and when she did she had terrible customer service. I felt discriminated against. She did not communicate anything such as prices, room options and what not. I mentioned the prices I saw online and she said I had to book that through the 3rd party website, every hotel Ive ever stayed at has honered their online prices. Her overall attitude was terrible. She gave me the price for the night and I was fine with that, until I woke up this morning to find a bill under my door for higher than she told me it would be. I specifically asked for a higher room so I wouldnt have children above me, but they put me in a room where acrobatics were going on at about 4:30 a.m., right through until 6; I put my earplugs in and could still hear some of the bigger booms. Then the alarm clock went off at 6:30, making it impossible for me to fall back asleep. Breakfast was okay, but it seems the earlier people got more of an assortment than we did. We only spent one night (this time) so we didnt experience a lack of room servicing. Our son and his family live in El Dorado Hills, so this was very convenient to reach him. We walked with him and our grandsons at the Palladio, which was also close by. Overall, except for lack of sleep, it was a positive experience.

Bathroom sink was sluggish and backup with all but the most modest use, Heaters are poor and have max temp setting dictated by Mgmt and, just to make my stay even more memorable, I though the bathtub had a ring around it. I even saw a couple people who looked like they were prostituting.However, I asked could I see the room anyway. I went to look at the room and it was not in good shape and I would never want to stay in it. It smelled bad and the bathroom smelled like urine. It was fairly run down and unkept. The Hampton Inn & Suites thank you so much during very difficult time. On 8/17 we where manditory evacuation orders to leave our home due to forest fire. The moment we stated we where fire evacuees they discounted our nightly rate to $144 for suite. Entered our room and it was clean with a bed that did not give me back ache in the morning. If you are around on Tuesday or Thursday evening be sure to stop by for the managers reception, plenty to eat and free drinks make a good evening meal substitute. She gave us a ride to a restaurant so we didnt have to uber or unhitch our truck after such a long day. Literally the LOUDEST hotel I have ever stayed at. Here to study for an exam before taking it in Citrus Heights tomorrow, so quiet is kind of a priority. You can hear housekeeping talking and cleaning next door, but it sounds like theyre in your room doing the talking and cleaning. With the shower running, you can hear the heels clicking of women walking by. The people above us are super rude, allowing what sounds like their toddler run a 5k and practice his body slamming skills at 4am. (Not exaggerating, 4am, thats why Im awake at 5am, writing this.) Stayed here this past weekend for my sons birthday. We had a corner suite with a pull out sofa. My 4 and 6yr old were to sleep on the pull out, which weve done at previous hotels. The hotel appeared clean and the pool was nice until it came time to get kids set up for bed and was in absolute DISGUST!!! I dont know why my photos wont show, but picture a nasty matress youve seen on the side of a road and that is what this one looked like. Fluid stained, rips and holes. My husband notified the manager who had to be nothing but apologetic but did not seem sincere. She said because we booked 3rd party it was hard for her to compensate, but would see what she could do to make it right. Never heard from her again!! The maintenance guys brought in two HUGE portable beds that also looked shady and you can feel the actual springs just with the pressure of your hand. We booked a 400+ sq ft room so the kids can have room to play and now was consumed by these two huge additional beds AND the furniture all displaced to accommodate. They could have made up for it by just moving us to two adjoining rooms!

Attended a private 60-80 person dinner event in one of those rooms on the ground floor. There were approximately 9-10 tables with 6-8 people each, served first by an opening buffet at one end of the 2x5 arrangement of tables, and later, by a main buffet at the other end. All food was brought in privately.Traffic in the room was manageable, however, wine, water and other beverages were well-stocked on each table by our hosts, and it would have been crowded if we had relied on centralized bars.

The trip to California was wonderful and the people who met us were well-spoken and gracious to boot. I would not want to live there since it take a half-hour to simply wait through traffic. The 6 to 8 lanes are a giant parking lot.

This is one of the nicer Hampton Inns I have stayed at. Staff is friendly and helpful, facilities in very good shape, and conveniently located near so much! I think thier walls may be slightly less sound proof than other hotels I stayed at (the person next door played thier TV all night, I could hear the TV and the snoring when I was up early), but it really didnt bother me at all.

I will say this was a clean and quiet hotel. BUT....... The management leaves a lot to be desired. None and I mean NONE of my issues were addressed. They seem to only care when you check in after that you are forgotten. I did have a conversation with the manager who did a very good job apologizing and pretending that she cared but no results.I was so disappointed I have had my company removed from the corporate account! I wish it was different.

The hotel is very conveniently located near shopping and restaurants. It is a newer build with central HVAC system so no noisy window units. Rooms are well appointed with microwave and refrigerator. Wifi is reliable however does suffer from the Hilton curse of having to log in every 24 hrs.

Horrible from the moment I stepped in. The lady at the front desk had no idea what she was doing. I requested a king bed, which she said was available, but then had to settle for a double queen because she couldnt find it. Then after I checked out my card was charged the 250.00 even though I called them and asked them about it because it showed pending in my bank. I was told it would drop off which it didnt. Then I called to ask about it and was told I had smoked in the room so they took the 250. I dont smoke. I have never smoked a cigarette in my life. And then while I was telling her that, she hung up on me. I will never go here again. Im actually staying at this hotel now and every thing was great the people at the desk were very professional and the rooms all look re done with big screen tvs and satelite. I was also happy that the room i have a a full desk and actually a plugin for Internet which is nice because your internet is twice as fast. But here it is 3 am and I went to get some ice and there is no ice. I mean cmon at 3AM Everybody is getting ice so there is no more. So they lost a star for that. All and all great place
