This place is the best in the area. Bartenders are always friendly and the food is great. I ordered the French burger that comes with blue cheese and bacon and asked for it over a salad for a low carb keto version and it is DELICIOUS definitely recommend.

Stay away!! This was my third visit where my order was messed up. The last time I literally had something in my food and when I called to let them know I was told that it’s never happened before. I reached out through Instagram and was told they would make it right but they haven’t. I was give a phone number of possibly a manager but she is too busy to follow up. The service and food isn’t great. Just skip Grump’s and support a business that cares about their customers.

This was a great place to sneak into for some lunch while exploring San Francisco. There werent very many people and we sat down right away. The burgers were delish and cooked just right. The Turkey Pastrami Reuben was incredible too. The was a great beer selection and all 4 that we tasted were perfect. Escape the crowds and enjoy some Grumpys!

I ordered the Super burger for lunch. The order included onion rings, but I was served fries (they must have omitted the upgrade as I wasnt charged for it), but they got everything else correct. The Super tasted pretty good, maybe a little greasy... Shortly thereafter, less than a block away, I felt a little unwell... then an impending sense of doom fell over me, and I have had to rush to the restroom ten times so far today. The staff was friendly and beer was good, at least.

When you think of going to a bar this is the kind of bar that I think of its dark they sell beer I can get loud sometimes theres neon lights theres regulars is animated people and its generally fun. I was a visitor to San Francisco and we were looking for a quick bite and grumpy seemed to fit the bill we went there had some burgers, and everyone seemed to have a good time. I would recommend it. Dont have high expectations, and you will have a good time. Please click like if you like my reviews...

Ordered the pesto burger. Tasted fine and everything seemed to mush together. Basically I mean it was soft each bite. If that is what you like in your burger, then youre at the right place. They have several TVs mounted on the wall with sports playing and bills stuck to the ceiling. Its a fun environment, but Ive only been there for lunch.

Fantastic local bar tucked away in a side street. We visited around 3pm on a week day and apart from a couple of other people the place was empty although I would imagine it gets very busy later on. Plenty of seating inside and the drinks were excellent value for money, although we didnt have anything to eat there the prices looked very reasonable for were you are. If your walking the Embarcadero then its only a short walk to get here (about 5 minutes) unfortunately we had planned to come back here one evening but didnt get the chance, but next time we will.

Super busy bar during after work/happy hour time, but service was amazing. Bartenders were very attentive, even though the place was packed and spilling outside. Food was delicious and affordable too.
