The Grand Helicopter Tour was the best way to see LA and all surrounding areas!! I have been to LA on many occasions but this was my daughter’s (15 years old) first time so I wanted to make it special for her too. Peter the pilot was amazing!!!! It was like he knew which stars homes my daughter would want to see!!! Taylor Swift, a couple Kardashian homes, Jay Z and Beyoncé, Jake Paul, Johnny Depp, Chris Brown, etc. But it wasn’t just flying over the amazing hills filled with beautiful homes, we also flew down the beach coastline from Malibu, Santa Monica, Venice Beach and Marina Del Rey. We saw a whale in the water too!!! Then flew right over Century City, LA, the Observatory, by the Hollywood Sign, etc. This tour covered everything and was worth every penny! Peter was so great at pointing out everything and I kept telling my daughter that every tour we did on land would never top this one by air!!! We had the best experience ever and I plan to tell everyone how awesome it is! Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience!!

We had an amazing Hollywood & The Beach Tour provided by Peter and Claudia! This was a birthday surprise for my fiancé and I could not have found a better company to make it so nice and special. Their small business provides an excellent service and experience from start to finish. They were great at communication right from the first call to book the tour. They made sure to call us and give us some options due to the weather forecast for our original time and date. They were flexible, accommodating and always very friendly. Peter was our pilot and he did an excellent job making sure that our safety comes first and that we had a great experience while being in the sky. He was a perfect tour guide in the sky as he told us so much interesting information and pointed out all the key sights. He also made me feel at ease as I am afraid of heights and it was my first helicopter ride…he did so well, I completely forgot about my fear! What an amazing experience! Peter and Claudia are excellent owners and pilots. This is a small, family owned business! We rode with Peter who was not only a great pilot but was able to call out some great landmarks along the way. Theres no other way to experience the sheer size of LA except from the air!For those with motion sickness, I think youll be pretty good here. I cant ride with other people in a car but I had no issues with the helicopter. Theres nearly a 360° view in the front, and a solid 180° view or better from back seats. Youll probably feel eerie or fearful right after takeoff, but that feeling subsides pretty quickly.Be sure to grab take the complete flight, because theres lots to see! Especially the canyons!Pictures do not do justice, you need to be up in the sky for the full experience.Thank you Peter and Claudia! Well be back! 😁

I booked the Hollywood/Beach sunset tour for my husband’s 30th birthday this weekend and we both loved the experience! I get motion sickness pretty easily so I was quite nervous about this but I took some Dramamine and it must have helped because I had a BLAST with my husband on the helicopter. I had called the office a few days before and spoke with Claudia and Peter and they were both super professional, kind, and informative. They answered all of my questions and made me feel secure about the tour. Peter turned out to be our pilot and he was absolutely great. He pointed out major sights as we flew over them and also pointed out great shots for pictures. We were both in awe of the whole experience. I was definitely shocked but very happy that I didn’t get nauseous. It’s actually less scarier than you think once you’re on the helicopter because it feels like you’re floating (Peter was great at making sure it was a smooth ride). We will definitely be coming back in the future (can’t wait!!!). Thank you to everyone at Group 3 Aviation. It’s no wonder you all have such great reviews and I’m so glad I booked our tour with you guys!

Sorry for the late review, we had a honeymoon :)This is our experience. I hope it would help somebody.It was our first helicopter flight ever. And I wanted to make a proposal to my girlfriend. And a crew of Group 3 Helicopters knew about that. So, it was a little bit nervous flight, also because it was really windy that day - but not for Tom. And I appreciate Group 3 Helicopters because they made everything PERFECT!We filled out the documents before the flight. The atmosphere was brilliant. They were really friendly, careful and made the process very easy, and I felt myself comfortable.The flight was exciting! Our pilot Tom was a real professional! That windy day he controlled the helicopter like a maestro. So, I had a comfortable chance to ask my girlfriend to marry me during the magnificent sunset view.We really appreciate the team for impressions they gave us and we will remember that day for life!By the way she said YES.

Most epic experience in Los Angeles!Claudia and Peter went above and beyond with their service. Had a very friendly and warming personality. We flew over many wonderful places such as the Hollywood sign and Santa Monica Pier. We also got to spend some time at the Malibu private landing, where we enjoyed a picnic watching the sunset with some drinks and snacks. This was by far one of the best experiences our family has had in quite some time. The pilot was very knowledgeable and friendly and created an atmosphere of safety and comfortability. There are very few businesses that exceed expectations before you arrive, this is one of them.We met with Peter, the pilot of our helicopter tour, and were instantly impressed with his hospitality and friendliness. He was incredibly welcoming and guided our tour with such professionalism. He answered all of my parties questions (which were endless lol) and was giving us insiders, if you will, about our City’s landmarks and interesting buildings.This tour made for an incredibly memorable experience for a small family that’s only been on a plane, where things are in and out of your view in just seconds. Peter the pilot and Claudia are amazing. We called last minute and they were able to squeeze us in. They offer free parking, the prices are very decent. When we started flying my wife got scared and Peter quickly calmed her down and reassured her that everything was safe. He gave us an amazing experience and is a great tour guide as well. We saw the Hollywood sign and flew over Beverly Hills and all the way to Santa Monica Pier. The view is breathtaking and well worth it.

I surprised my wife for our anniversary with a Group 3 Helicopter Beach/Hollywood Tour. Claudia and Pete were great to work with, they even changed the flight path at my request to fly over the annual Waves of Flags display at Pepperdine University, it was magnificent to see from the air. Our pilot, Tom, was outstanding, not only did we feel safe, but his knowledge was amazing. Such an amazing experience. I tricked my girlfriend and told her I got her a surprise for her birthday which turned out to be the helicopter ride. Then I really surprised her and popped the question. The Staff was extremely helpful in keeping the secret and mystique alive. Customer service and friendliness of the pilot was spot on. It’s obvious that he loves his job. I opted for the Hollywood sign and Santa Monica pier which also happened to go over Griffith observatory. It being June I wanted to time it for sunset so I purchased the half hour tour which left at 730. In case you were wondering she said yes… Since my plan was awesome, because I rock.

Had a great time taking the Grand Tour around LA. It went from Van Nuys down to Malibu, along the coast and all the way downtown (Disney Hall, Crypto.com center etc.). We then flew by the Hollywood sign and headed back. I highly recommend the experience especially if youre visiting LA for the first time. It helps you get the lay of the land much better. Try to request Jeff, as he was an absolute treat of a pilot.

In the process of getting my helicopter private pilots license, I have had the opportunity to interface with almost all of Group 3s people over a period of a few months.They have all been professional and very helpful. Schedules are respected, crafts are well-maintained and reliable, and service is excellent. Peter and Claudia are very experienced and always happy to help or just to chat and check on progress. Alicia is the person manning the office and as such you will most likely rely on her the most. She is knowledgable, efficient and reliable, yet friendly and always happy to look for a solution suitable for you. The instructors have all been great. Although I personally prefer continuity and therefore spent most of my time flying with Ross, it is good to get different perspectives and therefore I have had the chance to fly with and learn from almost all of them. I am now almost done with the ground and flying necessary to take my check ride and would certainly recommend Group 3 for your licensing and leisure helicopter needs.I have had previous experience with 2 other operators in the context of my fixed wing private pilot license and cannot say the same thing about those shops. Finally, I have encountered the other schools in the air in the course of my flights and in a number of occasions have witnessed first hand the shortcomings of their instructors and flying techniques. Flying always has a surprise in store for you and Group 3 makes the process as smooth as possible, at least in my experience. If you are looking to fly out of Van Nuys, I encourage you to find out for yourself.

Have recently obtained my Rotocraft PPL with Group 3 Aviation and it has been a fantastic experience. So much so that I am on the way to getting my IFR license and more with them. In my opinion I would describe Group 3 Aviation as a small friendly highly professional and personable family run business. The owners and staff have tons of experience in the aviation industry. They welcome all who may be interested in flying including international students. I have flown with several of their instructor who are all patient, understanding, professional, enthusiastic and an awesome wealth of knowledge and experience. The company does far more than just flight instruction. They also have an Alaska operation which I am looking forward to experiencing some day. Even though they arent currently offering lessons because of Covid-19, the very lovely couple that runs Group 3 took the time to provide me with some invaluable information about learning to fly helicopters commercially and pointed me to some excellent resources. Friendly and helpful staff. I came here for my FAA part 107 certificate recurrent test. Claudia helped me out, answering a few questions pertaining to the test that others elsewhere had been unable to answer correctly. Even did some research of her own to make sure she was giving me the right info. Glad I found this place as a testing facility.

Great facility - I took my Knowledge Test for Part 107 here, such kind and professional staff, I highly recommend going here, it was such a great experience. In this time of COVID, the utmost safety measures were taken - sanitizing, space, etc. Great place.

Great Helo Pilot Los Angeles answered all my questions about equip etc... Van Nuys good loc. R44 has better views... also have larger charters if you want a LA Charter ... starting with a Los Angeles Helicopter tour!

Excellent service 💯 recommended... My two friends and I decided to fly along the coasts and beautiful cities of the famous golden state LA 😍... We took the task of locating companies for our tour and thank God we found GROUP 3 HELICOPTER TOURS.
