Had my first appointment at Dr. Skeens office yesterday and am 100% pleased. Dr. Skeens seems to truly love the practice of dentistry. He has embraced the new dental technologies and acquired the skills necessary to use them to full advantage. He took the time to explain things and answer all my questions.I never felt that he was in a hurry, yet I was taken on time for my appointment so assume I didnt keep someone else waiting. His hygienist, Sarah, gave me the best cleaning I have had in a long time. The front office was efficiently run and welcoming and the dental technician/assistant was skilled and caring. My search for a new dentist was successful!

Dr. Skeens and his team is very kind, gentle and professional. I had few problems in my teeth and was due for my cleaning from Covid time. Dr Skeens his team did amazing job not only cleaning my teeth and but finding old infection in one of my previously done root canal and saved my tooth. Also did an excellent job in putting the crown. Everything was explained before the process and during process they make sure you comfortable, so kind .Dr Skeens is the best dentist in San Diego. I went in for a cleaning. They had me update my chart. Then I was called back right away. First thing, Sara (hygienist) wanted me to tell her more about my updates on my chart. The cleaning was pain-free, with excellent results!Dr. Skeens examined me and found I had a cracked tooth. He took a picture of it and showed me the tooth. I was put on the schedule with in days to start the process for a crown . The employees at this office are warm and friendly.

I’ve had great experiences with Dr. Skeens. I had a dental emergency about 8 months ago and he immediately squeezed me into his schedule to start my treatment plan and did amazing work over the span of about 2 months. Dr. Skeens is definitely my go to dentist after having such a great experience that was incomparable to the dentist I have gone to in the past. The level of care and compassion that Dr. Skeens and his staff have shown me during my most recent visits are top-notch. The awesome x-ray and photo equipment he used to diagnose several pains along with all the information Dr. Skeens provided truly gave me a sense of comfort.Dr. Skeens filled in three deep cavity issues and treated it with no painful side effects. After completing my fillings I came back a week later and ask if it would be possible to make teeth whitening trays. I am happy I came across Dr. Skeens and will most definitely be referring friends and family.

Ive been seeing Greg and his professional staff since 2010 and I cannot say a negative thing about the services he provides. His new office is state-of-the-art, always clean and the staff goes over the top to provided assistance. I am usually booked with Sarah for cleaning and my regular 6-month check-up, and I can say without a doubt she is one of the best out there. They’re all very professional!I just had the pleasure of seeing a newer member of the team, Lindsey and she was awesome. Educated me about the gum measurements again and even recommend a special pipe cleaner like tool to help with rear gum inflammation. She was very personable and we even had cause conversation in between have the tools in my mouth. Glad to have met her and it was a smooth visit!!

The entire office staff and experience was outstanding! I had an urgent need that happened on a Saturday they told me to come in first thing Monday morning and they would get it addressed. Went to Dr. Skeens for a second opinion on some major work recommended by another Dentist. What a joy to find a Dentist willing to take the time to go over my case thoroughly, explain in detail what was wrong and then offer several options, including wait and see, in a warm and caring manner, all with no pressure to do anything.His office is pristine and the entire staff is very friendly, while still maintaining their professionalism. What a relief to have an excellent dentist with a great team surrounding him! Sarah did a great job with my cleaning, addressing issues that my two previous dental hygienists couldnt reach. Dr. Greg is knowledgeable and caring. He addressed my immediate issues, explaining the procedures in advance and then helped me to prioritize much needed future visits. Victoria did a great job of determining my costs in advance, so I could plan financially. I am so glad I found Dr Skeens. In 2007, not only did Dr Skeens save a tooth from a botched root canal from another dentist, he got me up to date with four wisdom extractions. Thanks to his skills and the skills of his dedicated staff the process was painless. I only needed a couple Advil to be comfortable! Since then the experience has been great with Dr Skeens, Sarah and his entire staff. My wife and I have had nothing but a positive experience and are definite long time customers.

Victoria, the first one you meet is a happy going lucky, insightful individual who with diligence and respect, will handle your billing / insurance. This is the most caring and professional office I have ever experienced. From Victoria, the receptionist and brain center, to Sarah my hygienist and of course Dr. Skeens. Sarah, Cleans my teeth several times a year. She has a gentle touch, and does a thorough job. More than anything though, she actually cares about my teeth! I dont think it is related to my stellar personality. She will care for your teeth as well. Dr. Skeens has always done a great job taking care of my teeth and my families. When my son had his tooth knocked out during a basketball game, he actually met us at his office and took care of my son. This was at 8:00pm! If you are looking for a Dentist that will treat you right and take care of you with the utmost respect, then Dr. Greg is your Dentist. As a formal Navy Dental Technician, I worked along many dentist in my 10 year career and through those years I would say that Dr Greg is by far my favorite Dentist to have served with. His staff is nothing but outstanding in the service they provide. Amy his dental assistant works hard to make sure that you are comfortable and explains what Dr Greg will be doing during any procedures to keep you at ease. Sarah and Erin are some of the most professional and nicest Hygienists I have been around. They do an excellent job in cleaning the my whole familys teeth. Victoria who is the Office Manager, is always pleasant and handles any questions or concerns with a friendly smile. My oldest daughter has been seeing Dr Greg and his staff over the past 8 years now. She always talks about how great her experience is with all the staff there is and is excited to see them the at the next visit. I have also a three year old who is now see Dr Greg and shares the same experience that big sister shares. The whole office is very family friendly. Dr. Skeens is the best dentist Ive ever had. He was referred to me by a friend whose family has been going to him for years (they are doctors and are very particular with who they trust for medical care). Ive tried so many dentists over the years and Dr. Skeens is honest, straightforward, gentle and completely dedicated to outstanding care and the latest equipment. Great dentist. My family and I were extremely happy with Dr. Skeens work for years, but billing issues were the problem. The person taking care of billing would tell us that items were covered only to see us on the next visit and bill us for what they had told us was pre-approved. It happened twice with two different billing employees here. We have since moved on to another office and have not had an issue like this.

I recently had an appt with Dr Skeens in Encinitas. I had an issue with a broken filling and was seeing Dr Skeens for the first time. The office staff, dental assistant, and Dr Sheens made my experience wonderful. Dr Sheens communicated with me throughout the process to repair my tooth with a temporary crown. I have been going to Dr. Skeens for the last 15 years. Each and every visit is met with the upmost expertise and extremely knowledgeable staff. Sarah, during a recent cleaning, found a hole in my crown. After Dr. Skeens removed the crown the decay turned out to be significant and there was a good chance I could lose the tooth. However, Dr. Skeens took his time and with his many years of experience was able to save the tooth. So grateful. A special thanks to Dr. Skeens, Sarah, Lee and the rest of the staff for always going the extra mile to give all their patients the very best care.....and doing it while keeping us extremely safe during covid 19. After my awesome dentist of 20 years retired, I was referred to Dr. Skeens by a friend. I had tried a few dentists but was disappointed that they were mostly interested in finding something wrong with my teeth so that they could charge me and/or my insurance more. I had never had any problems with my teeth and I didnt believe that suddenly I did. I immediately found Dr. Skeens and his staff to be welcoming and friendly. After a thorough exam and x-rays, he complemented me on my beautiful teeth and told me I had no issues. This is a fantastic practice. The dentist is friendly and thorough in his initial exam. They do a 360 scan of your head so that they can see your teeth at all angles. So cool! The hygienist was super nice and it was the best cleaning I’ve had.

I was fresh out of the military and looking for a dentist so I gave him and try and have never looked back. My one and only dentist - I will never go to another.Ive been going to this practice since the mid 80s (basically the same practice - it was originally owned by Dr. Jeanne Hoffman). Sarah has been cleaning my teeth for 16 years! When I went to school in Indiana I would schedule appointments around the holidays when I would be home so I wouldnt have to see another dentist.I have dental issues from and they offer comprehensive and compassionate care. They offer flexible hours which enables me to get a cleaning at 8am, which is very helpful for my schedule and long commute to work. Unfortunately, my long commute makes it difficult for me to fully take advantage of their flexible hours.I was recently able to go in for a 3.5 hour appointment to get 2 crowns & a build up. It was a long appointment with lots of work but I wanted to do it in one appointment. The whole team was attentive, caring, and generous during this process. I am very grateful to get such good care. Watching TCM on their television while getting my teeth worked on was a delightful amenity too.Whenever dental stuff/dentists come up in conversation I am quick to recommend Dr Skeens and team ~ Victoria, Sarah, Leigh/Lee (sp?), and Erin - they are the best!! In all my life ever going to a dentist this is one incredible dentist. Dr. Skeens is very thorough, really cares about your teeth but even most important he makes you feel very comfortable and relaxed. I needed 3 crowns done and one crown was very challenging and he really had to do some Special work so that I didnt need to go to another dentist to have another procedure done. Sarah his hygienist is incredible. She is very through and really gets in their to clean your teeth. Dr Skeens assistant Leigh is just remarkable assisting Dr. Skeens and a great hand holder. Victoria at the front desk couldnt be nicer and more compassionate. If you havent gotten my message yet this is really the dentist to go to forever. Hes very up to date with everything to do with dentistry. I used to travel up to Orange County and to compare the 2 offices the one in Orange County was Flintstone Village. Oh and by the way Dr. Skeens makes a phone call to you personally to see how your doing the next day. What dentist today does that? They usually collect your money and your out the door. I cant thank Dr. Skeens and his professional staff enough. They saved me when i needed it the most. I am a retired marine living in Temecula and usually go through the Veterans Administration for my dental needs. I had an emergency though and was in excruciating pain after a filling had fallen out and exposed my nerve. The VA is not equipped to address such an emergency.
