As a veteran and first time buyer you want someone like Nate Wells from Gander Home Loans to be in your corner. Not only was Nate transparent and highly responsive throughout the home buying process, he also went above and beyond to ensure our home buying package was the best for any offer we put on a house. Nate is also very knowledgeable of the VA loan and gave more in depth knowledge than larger firms that only specialize in VA loans. I highly recommend Nate and Grander Home Loans and look forward to future business with them.

We just completed our second home refinance with Nate at Grander Home Loans and both times the process was smooth, fast and easy! Nate took the time to understand our mortgage needs, was very organized, kept us updated along every step of the way, and helped us get the best rate! The loan officer I worked with was honest, friendly, and completed the transaction exactly as he promised. I have worked with several other companies on this and he was by far the best. I am not sure if names are allowed on here but, Nate Wells was a really great person to work with.This is the second time that I have used Grander Home Loans to refinance to a lower rate. I chose them because I greatly appreciate Nates prompt service and congenial service. He is always willing to work through any problems that I am experiencing with the loan in a friendly and informative way. He consistently answers my email and phone calls in a timely way with answers to all my questions. The biggest reason I have gone back to Nate to help me refinance my house is because I trust that he is going to give me the best deal that he can and that he will make sure his company does for me what it promised it would do. When the numbers did not seem to add up a different points in the refinance he was able to clearly explain why and to give me the space to decide if I wanted to move forward on several different occasions. I did not feel pressured to make the deal and the numbers came back very close to what he quoted even though there were some problems with how my last mortgage company handled my escrow account. I recommend Nate to my friends and family and I would like to hire him again the next time I look for a home loan.

This was the second time my wife and I refinanced our home mortgage with Grander Home Loans. We had a such a great experience the first time around that we were very confident Grander was the right choice again. Im a thorough person, so I did check a couple other companies, but Nate was able to get the lowest rate again (as he did the first time), along with the lowest fees.Nate was very responsive and thorough when it came to answering questions. I highly recommend Grander Home Loans to anyone seeking a new home loan or refinancing their existing home loan. Nate and his team were fantastic, responsive and on the top of everything throughout the process. From the moment I first got a solicitation call to see if I was interested in refinancing my existing VA loan to the day of the closing, I just sat back while Nate and his team worked diligently for me to get the best rate that I could get. I will put it this way, the rate and the overall deal that Nate and his team gave me without any back and forth was better than the best deal I could get from my existing lender after months of negotiations, that they themselves backed out of as the current economic slump hit. Grander Homes is the first place we go when starting to shop for mortgage rates, and after this recent experience refinancing our home, it will be the ONLY place I go. My first post August 2020. I was referred by a family friend who was thrilled with Nate and Grander Home Loans. I decided to give Nate a call and I and glad I did! Although we are hundreds of miles apart, we were able to get our paperwork done at our house, our loan documents and appraisal within a short amount of time. We worked with Nate at the end of 2020 to refinance our home. He was great! Very responsive and took the time to fully explain our options and answer all my questions so I could weigh the pros/cons of each option to figure out what was best for us. I would definitely recommend Nate and Grander Loans. We started the refinance process with a different broker, and were stuck going nowhere for over 4 months!! Switched here to Nate after my sister had a positive experience and recommended him, and he was able to get our refinance done it less than half the time we had wasted with the prior broker, and at a lower interest rate, lower cost to us, and ultimately lower monthly mortgage payments! It did take a couple of weeks longer than first expected, due to hold ups on the lenders end that were out of both of our control, but Nate kept us updated throughout the entire process, which was by far the smoothest refinance we have done to date. I doubt we will ever need another refinance, since our rate is so low, but if we ever do, or end up buying a different home, we will definitely use Nate again!

We were very happy with Dustin and his team at Grander Home Loans. We worked with Grander to do a cash back refinance to build a new home. Dustin made the process very easy for us. The electronic communication and secure document program he used were very slick and easy to use. Grander found us a low rate and had very reasonable closing costs that couldnt be beaten at the five other places I looked.The build of our new home fell through and we had to refinance again to pay down the loan and get back to where we were before. Excellent experience!! We were referred to Nate & the Grander team by a close friend and they totally saved us. We knew it was a great time to be refinancing our mortgage but couldnt figure out the best way to go about it. We started with some online lending aggregators to compare rates... but it was hard to get an apples-to-apples comparison when factoring in the rates, points and various loan costs. There is a lot of trickery going on out there, and heres a tip... if a lender approaches you instead of the other way around... run away! I was also apprehensive about working with online lenders as there are so many mixed reviews and nightmare stories. There had to be a better way. Nate took the time to explain how he does business, and I immediately felt very comfortable and confident that this is the way to go! This small company does not rely on cutting corners to be able to sell hundreds of loans to make a profit off of bulk. I was looking for a mortgage broker to refinance my home in Hawaii and after corresponding with Lending Tree, Quicken, etc., I began to feel like I was working with companies that were all about just closing the deal. It almost reminded me of negotiating a purchase down in Tijuana for a pair of bull horns.Everyone offered deals, with varying interest rates, points, and fees. When I said that I would consider the offer and get back to each company after shopping around, the first response was invariably that they could match or better anything out there.So it was then that I realized these brokers were just playing a numbers game hoping that you would jump at their first offer rather than making their best offer right out of the gate. So very sad when these high volume companies are just focused on angling for higher profits and/or commissions instead of really trying to help their customers secure the best deal.I also read a ton of reviews and was shocked at the poor ratings and even more negative comments from borrowers who had selected these large well advertised financing or mortgage brokerage companies.There was one company however, Grander Home Loans out of San Diego, that not only featured excellent ratings, but every review I read was extremely positive.I called their office one evening at about 9:00 PM PST with the intention of leaving a voice message. We used Jevon for our new home purchase and we were very pleased. He gave us the best rate we could find with no closing costs and kept to his word all the way through even though we had to get a rate extension. We ran into some delays with the new TRID requirements but Jevon kept communicating all the way through and did all he could to speed up the process. Jevon responded within minutes to all emails and phone calls, even while on vacation over the weekend. We would definitely recommend them to others and plan to use them for any other loans in the future.

I had the pleasure of having Mike Hansen as my refi person. He was an absolute superstar when it came to handling my very complicated refi. He was always very professional and answered all 2 million questions I had and never seemed bothered by them. At one point I walked away to try and support a relative who was in the mortgage business. Rather than get mad Mike said I totally understand and good luck. He even said if it doesnt go well please come back and I will help you out...wow, not too many people would do that. Well of course it didnt work out with the relative so I went back to Mike and he worked it all out. Absolutely the best company I have ever worked with for a refi.

Ive refinanced many times over the years and Grander provided the best service (and product) by far. Ive done it both online and with a local broker so I thoroughly shopped rates.
