This is AUTHENTIC BBQ! Probably the best I have had! We ordered the hot link sandwich and pulled pork sandwich which were amazing!!! Strawberry lemonade so refreshing. The atmosphere was clean, fresh, and modern. The staff was on point! Can’t wait to come again!

We’ve tried Gracie’s a handful of times and it’s consistently good BBQ! Normally our order is the Texas brisket and rib combo plate with double mac and cheese. The price is really good for the quantity and quality. The brisket is consistently juicy and tender, definitely a favorite and the food is never lacking in flavor! Highly recommended 🙌.

Not a lot of salad options in Vallejo for ordering online but this place has a good chicken salad with lots of meat. The chicken is a lot better than the brisket. Chicken has great flavor and smoke. Corn bread, coleslaw, and potato salad were all good too. The only thing that wasn’t good is the briskest which was far too dry.

The ribs were spectacular! Along with the Cole slaw and potato salad were very good. Brisket was a little dry, but tender with a smokey flavor.At this time they only have 1 BBQ sauce which was very good, not spicy at all.Would definitely be back

Delicious BBQ at an affordable price. Gracies has always held a place in my heart since they are working from the trailer off springs rd. The food is the same if not better than then. The meats were delectable, and the side dishes complimented them truly. I got the family meal between my wife and I, planning to take home the leftovers for later, and the very helpful waiter informed me that that meal serves 6 adults and it would be a large amount of food which was very considerate.

Nice place for BBQ. I had the burnt ends and it was delicious. Each meal comes with 2 sides and cornbread. I had the beans and mashed potatoes. I loved the potatoes but the beans were bland, I added some of the bbq sauce on the table and they tasted better. The lemonade was great, drinks are brought in large mason jars. Other plates we ordered were the 1/2 chicken with coleslaw (which was delicious) and the beans. Chicken was moist and very tasty. Other meal was pulled pork and Ribs with beans and Mac and cheese that was also bland, needed more seasoning. We wanted to try the sweet potato pie and the rib tips but they were sold out. I would stop by if I was in the Vallejo area and wanted BBQ. Good amount of food for the price.

Edited the original review:We did give this place a try again and Im increasing my review from 1 star to 3 stars.I had the chicken and ribs and the ribs were cooked to perfection, but the white meat chicken was overcooked and dry, but the dark meat was perfect.The mashed potatoes and gravy was cold.But the food was very reasonably priced!Our server wasnt very friendly but we couldnt tell if it was just their personality or if it was because they were super busy.I will go back to this place.You could easily have a decent dinner for two people here for around $50..........Showed up to this place to have dinner, the guy at the door was very short with us when we told him we were dining in.They were no longer seating anyone, which wasnt a big deal, but dont be mean about it.The food smelled amazing though, and I will give them another try. So while this review is currently only one star I will change it if the next visit is better

Great customer service. The food was okay but it would be a lot better if it came out hot. I tried the homemade lemonade and it tasted old. So I tried a Sprite and that tasted gross. The beverage machine probably needs to be updated. Its in a really great location and its sad it should be more packed. I would give it another try. I just feel like it could do better.

We had three people wait on us. The first lady sat us then came and gave us flatware and menus and took our drink order. The next lady came and took our order and ignored us the rest of the time. The food was brought out by a young man who also ignored us the rest of the time. The ribs and brisket were extremely dry, they were either smoked too long or pulled and placed in a warming area that eventually dried the meat out. The sausage was fine as well as the coleslaw and greens. Ive been in Vallejo for 8 years and this is a place Ive dined several times before, that will not be the case going forward. The service was awful and the food was not good enough to overcome the flat out poor service.

Great bbq that is fairly priced and not pretentious. Been eating this bbq since it was a roadside stand. Now its a highlight of downtown. Great sides and when its in season get the strawberry lemonade.

Can you say “DELICIOSO” with me? OMG! This place is pretty delicious! 1st time here, had no idea what was good and popular but I got a platter of each: Ribs/chicken, Ribs/hotlink & brisket/chicken. Sides: cheesy mac, coleslaw, mashed with gravy and potato salad. Also, 1 gallon Sweet tea! Each platter came with a good size corn sweet bread and we also took dessert: Sweet potato pie, apple and lemon! WE DEVOURED this pretty fast! FINGER LICKING DELICIOUS! 🤤 You MUST! Thank you 🙏OH! BTW: Being a wednesday, it was nice and busy for them HOWEVER, I was greeted right away as I walked in and was able to place TO GO order right away. Wait time was good (15-20mins) as they had orders coming in and dinning in. Service from in to out was friendly, professional and fast 🫶🏼 GRACIAS ☺️

I have been purchasing BBQ ribs and brisket for some time now and loved the tenderness, smoke, seasoning and meaty ribs. Unfortunately I am disappointed they switched from St. Louis style ribs to baby back ribs that are dry, skimpy and salty. Price is not an issue for good bbq why change what we love. Poor decision very disappointed.

The people were very nice and attentive. The place is clean and friendly. My ribs were a little dry but the server accommodated me with more brisket, without me even having to ask. I would certainly go back for brisket, the sweet tea, the service and possibly try something else. I usually dont eat coleslaw, but theres was really good.

The food was amazing. If you get the brisket, do yourself a favor and skip the sauce. Not that the sauce isnt good, the brisket is just so good that it should be sacrilege to cover it in bbq sauce. The ribs and corn bread were also delicious. The waitress was extremely kind. The outdoor seating is beautiful.

My family and I were there on a Tuesday around 3pm. We ordered the family meal for 5-6, and 10min later, our smokey and delicious food arrived! We actually had left overs, it is VERY well served. The meal comes with corn on the cob and 10 poundcake-shapped cornbread pieces (which its not specified so it was a delish surprise.) We lived in the South and the bbq sauce here took me back to NC! Pics are of the mac n cheese, corn, potato salad, half-rack bbribs, and cornbread. We will definitely go back when visiting Vallejo again!

Fantastic first impression, for first time dining here, at lunch on a Saturday. I just got back from a trip to Dallas, so if theres a good time to do a Pepsi challenge, my pallet was ready.Our waitress lest me order the beef brisket burnt ends on the brisket salad. They just happened to have burnt ends ready when we arrived, so the timing was fortunate.The BBQ sauce and honey bottles are onna caddy at your table.Perfect setup. Salad had about 50/50 ratio of sliced brisket flat and burnt ends. The smoke ring was deep and dark. Smoke flavor was perfect. Burnt ends were like candy. My wife volunteered to help me enjoy them, even though she had her, also excellent BBQ turkey croissant sandwich, plate. Her scalloped potatoes side was also excellent. Dining accomodations were also nice as well. We say on the southern porch patio. I bet this place is hoping during the summer. This is now my go to BBQ spot for the area.P.S. The coffee is also exceptional here. Its roasted locally.

I read reviews on this restaurant and thought this might be a good place to go since theres very few good eateries here in Vallejo. Okay I was wrong! I went there today with my granddaughter undecided on what I wanted didnt know if I wanted to dine in or just order to go, I was offered a menu to look over. Once looking over the menu I decided to get the sampler and some swamp juice, I paid and then inform the young man we were going to stay there and eat. It didnt take very long at all to bring me my food. Heres the problem my links the little three slices I had were not hot I guess I will say lukewarm, but they were very good. The rib was a little less than lukewarm had a lot of fat on it but other than that it was very tasty. Now lets get to the chicken the chicken had so much fat I got tired of picking it off it was not completely done and the flavor was not all that great. The brisket taco once I found the brisket under all the slaw was cold and tasteless. Now the swamp juice was very good. The waiter was very unattentive Im not sure if it was because I paid before I was seated or because I was the only person of color in the restaurant at the time, the young man with the curly hair tended to all the other tables went around asking was everything good if they needed anything never once did he asked me anything. I also had to stop him after he took an order just to ask for a to go box and he went I guess rung up the order then came back and cleaned off a few tables then went back and got me my to-go box which I thought was very rude. This establishment is not what I expected for it to be Im not sure if they make their own reviews but damn it was nothing like whatWrite a comment...

This is one of my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE RESTAURANTS EVER!!! I always get the hot link plate with potato salad and extra cornbread. Everything on the menu is delicious. It’s southern bbq and comfort food at its best! The tea is homemade, the strawberry lemonade is homemade, this place needs to be on a food network show! The tri tip is delicious, hot links are my favorite. The rice and beans are amazing! No matter what you get, you’ll be in love! The staff is friendly and amazing. Always ready to refill your tea before you realize you even need another glass. On one hand I’m glad more people don’t know about this place because it means I get to go there with little to no wait, but on the other hand I’m always excited to tell people where my amazing food came from

We arrived about 30 minutes before closing with a party of 7 and I asked to make sure it would not be an issue. It was not and the service was phenomenal! From the moment we arrived to when we left the staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful.We ordered the family dinner for 5 or 6 people and it was plenty for our party. The food was delicious, and I highly recommend ordering the Swamp Juice. The corn bread was excellent. We would definitely eat there again.

Me and 5 of my family members ate at this restaurant on 8/31/23.The bill came to a subtotal of $128 or $123, the waitress decided before she brought me the tab to charge a $23 + tip, didnt allow me to pick how much of a tip I wanted to give her. Then when she brought the handheld computer for me to sign, it asked again do you want to tip of course I said no. That was my first and last time going there. I am a Vallejo resident and business owner and operator. I have been to Gracies 4 times. Each and everytime I have placed a family order. Each and everytime they have made mistakes on our order. Tonight after I ordered and showed up to pick up my dinner and paid for it. I checked my order. And of course it was completely wrong. The rude employee told me it was a misunderstanding and then told me to bad. Take our mess up and leave. I wanted my money back. Or it to be corrected. I was told. No refunds on a take out order I had not touched or eaten. Asked for a manger and was told he wasnt on duty. I paid $40 for this meal. Which was incorrect and not what I ordered. As I walked out the employee also wanted to tell me I was an a****** c*********. And a manager just phoned me. Arguing with me. I truly appreciate return customers in my business. I dont recommend Gracies to any person or family. Drive to Hercules go to kinders its worth the drive they wont mess up your order its cheaper and its better food. Never in my life have I or my wife been more disrespected. While trying to order food from an establishment. Most places I know customer is always right and if they make it wrong theyll take it and make it right. apparently mr. Gracie whos been in this establishment for 20 years who has a relationship with everyone who comes into his business doesnt feel that way. My name is Ben Butler. I ordered via doordash and was disappointed after spending $50 for my plate. I only had one full rib, and the rest was the end of the rib portion and it was pretty much burnt. I paid for a full rack and what I got was not a full rack, and I definately will not give my business here again. Gracies was great all of a sudden I dont know what has happened.

We came back to Vallejo and HAD to come to Gracies!!! I had Smoked Chicken Legs with corn bread, green beans and coleslaw. As good as ever..thank goodness. Those chickens must have been the size of small cars.....the pieces were huge and beautifully smoked. The word succulent lept to mind. The cornbread is sweetish and warm and yummy. Green beans here have been a favorite of mine...canned beans with butter and garlic..old fashioned yum. I prefer a simpler coleslaw but theres has dried cranberries and apple bits with the cabbage in creamy dressing if you like a sweeter version. My husband had ribs [ perfect] and chicken breast he liked so much I didnt even get a taste. Potato salad was fascinating with a Mediterranean brineyness along with the expected tastes. He had beans and rice which needed salt and was no thrill really. After all that we have tomorrows dinner in our takeout box ... far too much for just one meal!

I actually came to town for church services and another restaurant, but neither of them were open, and I smelled the smoky aroma so I decided to give it a try. So glad I did! I got the Burnt Ends dinner, OMG the meat was so tender and full of a sweet savory flavor! I coupled it with coleslaw, macaroni, and potato salad with a cornbread muffin, washed it down with their own lemonade, finished with the banana pudding (my least favorite item) and I had a great server! I wanna like this place, the people are nice enough. The burnt ends aren’t really close to “burnt” they hardly have any crust at all and more or less just tastes like chewy hot dog meat. The cornbread is a hit or miss, today it tastes heavily of sunflower seed oil. Will report back next time my office has this catered.

I ordered for delivery from Gracies in Vallejo, CA. I had never had their food in all my years of living here in Vallejo. I decided to give them a try. The delivery was in a timely manner, the food was still warm, the salad was crisp and fresh. I ordered the burnt ends plate with mashed potatoes and gravy, and Mac and cheese. Both the salad and the plate came with a piece of corn bread which almost tastes like my moms, but moms still got a one up Lol! The burnt ends were flavored well, and the Mac and Cheese was good also. The mashed potatoes were ok, but overall everything was good, and the sweet potato pie Tart was very tasty as well, again My mom is still number one, but it still was really good. Got the Pit Master, a sampler of all the meats. Pulled pork & chicken were just okay, a bit dry. Ribs were burnt tough on the edge but good deeper in. (6yrs ago, Google restarted the date.)I came here with a group of girls for dinner, we’re a quiet bunch and not demanding at all. However, some of the surrounding tables were quite the opposite, to say the least. I was observing some pretty interesting behaviors. I do believe that some people, well maybe a good percentage were not properly socialized?I say this to say that the staff here has some MAJOR Talent and Composure. They were being ran up and down that restaurant. Had it been me, I do believe someone would have been hit with a mason jar... J/K, but I would not have been able to handle it with the grace and composure that they did.Food is awesome, I am not a big meat eater but on occasion I will indulge. First let me say that the building is beautiful... And my waiter was very friendly. But my food was lacking flavor and an insult to true barbecue.. the macaroni and cheese had no cheese it was made from a sauce with no flavor and you can taste the water in the noodles... My hot link had no type of grill char or taste to it 🤨 my ribs were tender they were good not great but good... For dessert I tried a sweet potato pie the sweet potato was dry unflavorful no type of spices in there was not sweet it tasted like a sweet potato you would have as a side dish for dinner So0000 disappointing!!!!! I would have rather had pumpkin pie 😉 literally ate two bites and threw it away!! Spacious outdoor eating area in back. Lots of goodies in the menu. Had the american bacon burger with mashed potatoes and corn bread. Burger was fine. Ken catered for our wedding. We had 115 guests total at a private residence in Napa. He offers the entire service - food, chafing dishes, plates, utensils, napkins, and staff. Many of our guests were astounded by the quality of food that he served, specifically stating that the ribs were the best theyve ever had. Working with Ken, you dont just place an order. He takes the time to really be involved and think about what would taste best and work best for your event. For example, Ken even ardently elected to boil the corn on the cob on site - going the extra mile to deliver only the freshest. Were so happy he recommended the ribs, as the taste improves with time - perfect for the transit. Even in my white dress, its the only thing I wanted to eat (not a single stain I might add). Our guests also fell in love with his cornbread. Having them served as personal proportions was really convenient. Lastly, I want to add that we did all of our planning out of state. Through phone calls and emails, Ken made all the preparation painless. Hes very flexible as well, only needing a couple weeks to prepare for your event. He even let us finalize our numbers a week beforehand. If youre looking to satisfy and wow your guests, Gracies is an exceptional choice. Kens the guy you want taking care of you because hes a man of his word and his cooking makes everyone noticeably happy. Bright, energetic and colorful she easily set me and other patrons at easy with a welcoming smile and smart service. At most this place is Basic BBQ. I lived in GA before and had real southern BBQ. If you want southern BBQ in vallejo, house of soul is the best. Lolas southern BBQ in concord/east bay is awesome as well. Both Lolas and H.O.S. are rarely open but when they are, its worth the wait and the price for the authentic southern quality, taste and experience. We are from Sacramento but when we are in the area we always stop in here! The bbq is really good but so are the sides which is hard to find! Also, the service is always excellent and we get our food really quick! Weve enjoyed each visit here!

Wow, worst meal Ive paid over 100 bucks for since baseball season! Look I get that its take out only, does that mean you can send me home with shoe leather instead of brisket? Puke green macaroni? I’ve never had a bad experience at Gracie’s. I believe it’s a family owned business. The employees are all very kind and welcoming, they are quick to seat you and take your order. The food is delicious and the prices are reasonable.

My son and I stopped in based only on a drive by on our way to a hotel after a nearby race and have since been back. The quality and care put into the food is evident. I dont normally enjoy corn bread, but always finish mine at Gracies with a little honey. The tri tip has also treated me well. They have a unique dining area with roll-up windows that allows it to function much like a patio, while still providing some protection from the elements. However, each time we have been there, we have opted to eat on the patio out back under the trees.

Started going out of necessity - very close to work. Have kept going, weekly in fact, for the Bbq, soup, salad, coffee, sandwiches, chili and corn bread. Every time I tried something new, I ended up with a new favorite. The Staff is friendly, there is indoor, and patio seating with roomy yet homey atmosphere. If pushed my favorite current dish is Southwest pulled pork salad with soup and side of anything. Pork is just slightly crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, falls apart when touched with the fork... mmmmm. Recently they went to Chicken soup all the time. I mourn the loss of the weekly soup rotation as they DID a mean corn chowder, and my absolute favorite: chicken Minestrone. How I will miss you chicken Minestrone!

Great service every time. We go for family birthdays and they are always on top of everything even with a big crowd. I miss the big ribs they used to have but still gladly eat all the other delicious food. Tri-tip is superb!

Its the most beautiful restaurant on Sonoma and a one-of-a-kind for Vallejo. The decor is beautiful and gives the restaurant a great earthy ambiance. They have fairly large portions of food consisting of mostly american diner choices. I got the ribs which werent the most flavorful but they were extremely soft and cooked well. Make sure to get one of the lemonades presented on the front of the menu. They are HUMONGOUS and sooo tasty!

My wife and I sometimes visit Gracies after church and their food is good... Friendly people work there, and its a relaxed atmosphere... The swamp juice is good you can sweeten it to taste the way you like... Strawberry lemonade is good... Salads are very good... My wife likes the chicken plate, I like the salads, and we both love the cornbread... I order the hot link plate... Everything nice...

Excellent food. I happen to come to Vallejo from Livermore to see a client and saw Gracies so decided to have Lunch. Very friendly people. Love the ambiance. Doesn’t look like much from the outside but once I stepped inside the aroma of bbq had me. Price was extremely fair as well.

Love the food here, but the service is lacking. Been here 2 times now and both times it felt like the wait staff couldnt see me. This time we came in and were handed menus and told to sit anywhere. We sat down and after 15+ minutes i was forced to grab the bus boys attention to have him get us a waiter.

1st time trying this place tri tip was tasty but too tuff should have been more tender the chicken was good potatoe salad very unpleasant dont know who made it but they should never make it again green beans were good didnt like the corn bread too sweet like or something the one and only thing I absolutely loved was the sauce! I dont eat pork so cant speak on the ribs ? Just my opinion but put it this way I ate almost all of that thru the rest away and Im currently cooking my own beef ribs sooo maybe Ill just go by gracies and buy some of their sauce. Id still recommend this place to be tried at least once because Im a very picky eater you might like it !✌

Awful, If you know real southern barbeque this is not it. Very small portions overpriced. New to area, looking for some good barbeque, dont mind spending money. Bought a two way. Ribs and Chicken. Store bought potatoe salad and cornbread too sweet, beans and rice stuck together overcooked mushy, horrible.... this was my first experience.I said never again. I had guest over not knowing they wanted some good barbeque, Came over told me they picked up some barbeque i said from where? OMG when they told me Gracies... they said they were told it would feed two people, I looked at that order ribs and links did not feed no two people. Honestly, They ribs are tender. That being said, the truth u dont get what u pay for. Try for urself... Spent 22.00 on some bull .... I hear their were a couple more out here to try. Vallejo I am quite sure you can use a good Barbeque restaurant...

I was looking for a bbq sandwich. I first went to kinders in Benicia only to find out they have closed and been closed for a long time. My hunger for bbq sandwich was strong . I navigate to this establishment. Boy I am so glad kinders closed this brisket sandwich was awesome, tender juicy succulent pieces of beef just fell apart as I devoured my meal .Very good meat. I will be back. The Cole slaw had Raisins in it 👎.

I’ve been to Gracie’s about 4-5 times per year for 10 years and the word that comes to mind is dependable. Gracie’s team is dependable when it comes to service, atmosphere, taste, and value. They’re clean and can accommodate any size group. My largest size group was about 15.
