I am a member of Gotelli plumbing, paying monthly to have such status. I was on the brink of cancelling my service and membership until Tom Robertson was assigned to solve an issue I was having. He is the perfect example of hands on experience is vitally important. He arrived, assessed the issue and was transparent and honest in his opinions of how to treat the issue. While I was dissatisfied/frustrated (and still am) with the initial call, the company worked with me thru Tom to find a fair and practical solution for which I am appreciative. Because of this approach and for Toms abilities to assess and fix, I have decided to continue with Gotelli.

The plumber, Steve, was great. Very friendly and professional. He added a gas shut off value to our range in the kitchen. The part cost approximately $20 and he was here for exactly one hour. The cost of the repair was $622. That’s about $600 for one hour of labor. It’s ridiculous how much Gotelli charged for this job. I had no choice but to have them do it, as I had other services scheduled for the same day following this repair.

A bit odd that the person I made the appointment with didn’t know if their guys work on commission, so I had to ask the plumbers when they arrived which was an awkward conversation for some reason. However, the 2 gentlemen arrived on time and properly diagnosed the probable cause of a sewer smell in one of my bathrooms and even comped me on a drain product I needed in the kitchen. I got a reasonable quote that Friday, but they didn’t have time to do the work that day which I understood.My hose bib was leaking in a couple of places after a pressure test was done, but I’d had some problems with leaking there once before, so the problem may have just popped up again.

Great service in terms of timing. Showed up within the timeframe and changed out the shower handle cartridge in two minutes as expected. I give them credit for that. Apparently a cartridge cost $850, showed my wife on his tablet. I’m in the industry it costs around $60-$200. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to fix it myself because of timing. He later wanted to write up proposals for other items like water heaters, sinks ect. My wife told him I was in the industry and all of a sudden our final price was less than the cartridge itself? Still way too high and his quotes for the water heater were ridiculous.

I highly, highly recommend Gotelli! I had a burst pipe leading to my water heater two days ago. I called Gotelli and Fernando arrived within an hour after I called. He is so kind, calming, knowledgeable and friendly. It was a very stressful situation and he kindly walked me through the entire process. Sebastian worked with him all day today and is a very diligent, friendly, and hard worker. Donte also helped on Tuesday and explained so much to me. All three men are the best there is! Steve was professional, skilled, honest, did not try to up sell etc. He was able to explain the issues causing my sewer backup, suggested multiple options for remediation and ultimately was able to clear my line for a very reasonable charge. I had initially thought a spot repair on the sewer lateral was what was needed and am grateful that Steve was able to fix my issues without incurring the significant costs associated with spot repairs. Communication with office was very smooth and efficient. Sam Smith from Gotelli arrived on time, was very pleasant and easy to work with and made the repair on the same day as his visit. He replaced a back flow for our irrigation and did it for a reasonable rate. He also relocated it to a much more convenient and safe location. Had to call Gotelli in a pinch one day. They sent out Donte. Now I’ve worked with him three times. Always have a positive experience working with him, who has been out to fix various plumbing and gas line issues on my houseboat. (install water filter, new faucet, hot water tank and shower pressure issues, check gas line problems). The prices are steep, but given he is always highly competent and professional, and gets the job done, no muss no fuss no complaints, positive attitude, it’s worth it. I reached out after 10 PM because of a sewer problem. I literally just filled out the contact us form on their website. I got a call at 7:30 AM and by 8:30 AM Jared showed up. Professional, kind, and competent. Gotelli came out as a second opinion for a clogged kitchen drain. First plumber was not sure they had a long enough snake to clear the blockage, and suggested the blockage may be from rusting from the old drains that would require opening up the stucco wall to the outside of the house, etc. The plumber from Gotelli came out and cleared the drain in a few minutes, and so far so good.

Flat rate fee is way too high. He went on the roof and cleaned the line through the vent with a snake. It took 20 minutes to do and should have cost no more than $300. Steve was helpful, knowledgeable and informative, but I really wish I didnt agree to have the service done by Gotelli- its such a simple fix that any plumbing service couldve gotten the job done and we wouldnt have had to pay so much. I did, however agree to a ~500 charge to clean the garage line and he let us know that if anything seriously wrong were to happen, the fee would increase to over $700.If the base rate were $300, and additional issues raised the price to $500, I wouldve been happy with the service.At least we can do laundry now! Definitely just calling the cheapest option next time. Next time well find a company who charges by the hour or a lower flat rate.

Overall a mixed experience. We had a leak under our sink which we could not diagnose. We called this company to come fix it, and they scheduled us quickly and professionally.The plumber came and spent some time diagnosing the problem, and he recommended changing one old hose and the garbage disposal. Total cost $900. We accepted the quote and he went ahead and made the changes. He did it quickly and left the area clean and presentable. So far so good.Unfortunately, this did not fix the leak at all, so our $900 and a perfectly good disposal were both wasted. I called the company angrily the following day and they sent out a plumber and a seemingly senior plumber, diagnosed the leak again and seemed to find it this time (in the hose in the faucet) and replaced it. I have not seen the leak recur but I will obviously update this review if it does.Overall, we paid $900 for work that we did not need, but at least they did not try to charge us for the work they did to diagnose and fix the hose that actually was the problem.I would have left this as a 4 or 5 star review if they had offered to refund the cost for the labor to install the hose and disposal that we didnt need that they did yesterday and only charge me for the parts (only fair since we are keeping the disposal) + the cost of the parts and labor needed to actually fix the problem.But at least the leak is gone. And the new disposal is a bit quieter than the old one.

Had a plumbing issue on a Friday morning with no water coming out of faucets and Forster booster pump continually running with no detectable leak. Had to shut everything down, main water and pump. We called Gotelli and they dispatched Sam Smith immediately, confirmed appt with email and texted when he was on his way. He showed up right on time and took time to figure out the problem. Confirmed there was no leak, flushed all the numerous faucets around the house, explained patiently what was the probable problem (sediment in the unused lines) and saved the day and Week End. It sounds like an easy job but it’s a residence with complicated plumbing with lots of different elements. I am impressed and will certainly use and recommend them. Courteous, helpful, and efficient from the dispatchers to the tech, very happy with this business.

(July 7, 2022) Once again, Tom R. provided us with exemplary service. We had leakage under (and around) our kitchen sink; Tom analyzed the evidence and correctly determined the sources of the leaks, then used an air compressor and heat gun to dry the affected areas before resealing; he also replaced the entire disposal unit, air gap and P-trap so that were fully updated. I had a pretty bad experience and this company. They were able to come out the same day, which was great. But that’s where it went down hill. The technician they sent quickly went to work on cleaning my sewer line, but neglected to ask me if i have a sewer ejector system. And because he didn’t ask (and I didn’t think to tell him), he winds up snaking my pump and severing the power line to it. He then blames me for this mistake because i didn’t tell him.The problem was far bigger than he could handle and he so wound up leaving after he fixed another toilet for me. He winds up charging me $800 basically just for fixing a toilet and cleaning a line that didn’t solve the problem. In his defense, the pump could have been broken before he touched it, but there are plenty of explanations that wouldn’t require such a big expense.He then tells me he’ll replace the pump he messed up for $1900. For perspective on how absurd this price was, another company came over the following day and was able to clean out the sewage and replace the pump for $1600.

Ive been using Gotelli Plumbing since 2007 and they have always been on time, polite and professional. Today I had a major clogged sewer pipe and Steve and Dante came out. The job ended up taking 5+ hours, but they were both very determined to clear it out. Most plumbers would have quit after an hour (I thought they were, especially after discussing that I may have to dig up the sewer line) but Steve and Dante didnt give up. I have been a loyal customer of Gotelli for years, spending thousand of dollars on repairs and major upgrades so it saddens me that I have to write this negative review.Gotelli recently change their pricing policy from hourly to a cost per job. This is not unreasonable if the estimates are, at least, close to the actual work.We had a clogged downspout drain. The technician came out and informed me that the this will take at least 4-5 hours and the cost will be $800. After two hours the technician told me that the roots are too invasive and he will not be able to complete the repair, but was still going to need the full payment. This means I paid $400 per hour for job that they could not complete.I tried to call management to discuss and all they would say is that you agreed to pay this. I asked to have the owners call me to discuss, but after several days I have not received a response. Apparently, they are making so much money off of their new pricing policy that they don’t care about retaining loyal customers. It is clear (especially if you read other reviews on Yelp) that they are significantly overestimating the cost of jobs and have no problem ripping people off.Time to find a new plumber.

As I had already incurred a service charge for diagnosis, I opted to replace off-brand, leaking toilet. I paid $175 to have my kitchen line cleaned out 18 moths ago or so. Last week, same exact service...$460. They explained they have a new flat rate fee structure. But I should feel good about the fact that if the project had taken 12 hours, it still would have costed me $460.Three fold increase in prices for the same service in 18 months time. I can verify the report of the other individuals who state that Gotelli has recently changed its pricing policies. Weve used them for many years and have been very content with their services. We needed a fix for a clogged kitchen sink. The plumber they sent out was, as usual, very cordial and professional, but he finally had to give us the bad news: on top of he 89$ service fee, Gotelli now charges flat rate per task, and the rate for a drain clean is 375 $. That is exorbitant, and we declined to pay it. Like others who have posted, we are looking for new plumbers. 11/2018Jared, like every Gotelli serviceman that has come over, was very professional and pleasant to work with. He quickly addressed today’s issue and was in and out within the allotted hour.2017Apparently our pressure release valve had failed and was causing our water pipes to shake violently every time we turned on the water. Tom from Gotelli Pluming, quickly diagnosed the problem and did a pro job in repairing. He also called out some other issues that he had spotted. Rather than trying to sell more work, he cautioned us to keep an eye on the issues. I really appreciate his honesty and helpfulness and Id recommend Gotelli Plumbing again.

Called on Monday morning and service tech Cory was dispatched same business day to repair a leaking copper pipe on my water heater. Cory arrived promptly, immediately identified the problem and repaired within 20 minutes. He inspected the hot water returned to informed me there are temp control on the pump and check the temp of the water in my master bath, guest bath and kitchen. Last year Cory cleared my clogged kitchen sink so he inspected the drain to ensure it was not clogged. Cory was very courteous and thorough.

We had a really messy problem with a broken sewage pipe and this company really helped us get it resolved quickly. The person that answered the phone was super professional and helped get someone out to our house the next morning. Cory did an excellent job trying to figure out the problem and stayed practically all day until we at least knew what needed to be done. We had to have a pretty big hole dug around the pipe so that it could be repaired which I asked my gardeners to do the next morning since they came on Thursday anyway. Cory had already called to check in early in the morning and once the hole was finished, I called him and he came out as soon as he was off his other job. But the great thing was that he kept me updated so that I had a great idea of when he was going to be there. Thank you Gotelli and Cory for a job well done!

Steve was on time and professional. He reviewed disposal replacement options. He also gave me advice on best practices for general maintenance for all my plumbing needs, specifically moving toward bacterial unclogging practices instead of the corrosive chemical uncloggers. Upon completing the install, he showed me the changes to the plumbing lines and answered my questions.

I LOVE Gotelli Plumbing Company. I have used them for over Twenty Years.They know my property and always send qualified technicians.Recently my main sewer line had been backed up for 48 hours. Jared and Cory dislodged the obstruction within two hours. Gotelli has cleared my sewer line many times in the past. 25 minute repair of leak in copper hot water pipe. $15 materials. Spent additional 20 minutes selling me on my need for new water heater, pressure equalization valve, and estimate for sink faucet install with no material ($650). Charge for copper pipe repair $720! Total rip off. Would never use Gotelli again or recommend them go anyone.

Unfair rates. I was charged $833 for 1.5 hours of a plumbers time. When given this price estimate, I asked if the job would take 4 hours time and I was told it possibly would. So I accepted the price. If I had been honestly told it would take 1.5 hours, I would have gone elsewhere. I suggest you dont make the same mistake. These guys are taking advantage of their community.

A1 service! I called first thing in the morning, with what sounded like a burst pipe under my house. They were able to send someone out within 45 minutes (I called a few other places who could send someone 6 hours, even 3 DAYS, later).
