We have been fortunate enough to have Derek support our program for a couple of years now. We appreciate the time he has spent consulting on field maintenance, facility repairs and our program. With his knowledge and expertise, he has put us on the right track for several improvements that need to be made. I am on the PTO for my kids school and we decided to move forward with a shade project we had talked about doing for a few years over the courtyard area between buildings. Derek had his project manager come out within two days to take drone images and get a rendering done so we could see what the completed project would look like. The recommendations he had were so helpful to ensure we had the most shade coverage. Then the trees that would have been in between the sails were trimmed before the job was done and instead of a slight trim they were completely chopped. This totally changed the layout and size that we needed in order to make up for the lost shade that the trees would have provided. He had new drone images done, new renderings and came up with a plan that worked perfectly. The job was done within a week and they are absolutely amazing. Everyone I have talked to said they are so much better than they would have ever expected. They look beautiful, so professionally done and so easy to work with Derek and his team. This is the highest quality product we have found! The Got Shade team did a remarkable job installing the shade sails over our courtyard, dramatically reducing heat from the fierce Palm Springs sun while still allowing a gentle light into the space. We’ve attached photos and a brief video to demonstrate how well Derek designed the shapes of the sails to provide a truly artistic touch to our shading needs.These sails are rigged with steel cables that hold them in place so well that the recent wind storm did nothing, they didn’t even move! The quality of shade sails fabric selection was excellent and we chose the Capri Blue, which sparkles like the water in our pool beneath it.As background, we were replacing the Got Shade Sails that were in a beige color that the previous homeowners had installed about 8 years ago. We realized we wanted to replace them with a blue color. We chose to stay with Got Shade Sails because the original beige sails were still in new looking condition, after 8 years in the desert sun! They were in such good shape that our neighbors asked for them when we replaced them with the Capri fabric. It is a true statement of quality that the original beige sails from our home’s former owner are now living on at a new home, their quality so good that they should easily last yet another 8-10 years.

What an amazing team! This is the second shade I’ve had installed by Got Shade and, yet again, I have no regrets about this purchase. The shade we installed reduced the temperature of our patio by at least 15 degrees, but still allowed plenty of light to come into the house. It looks beautiful and was custom made and installed with a team of professionals who worked quickly. Derek and his crew are wonderful to work with. I wish I had more room in my backyard to install more shades. If you haven’t looked into this, you’re missing out on a huge opportunity to improve your home’s beauty with a truly functional addition.

Used Got Shade a few years ago just to get a quote but decided to not go forward with the project. Recently reached out to them for 3 shade sails in mu backyard, 2 attached to the house and 1 freestanding with poles. They had kept all my old records and photos so had lots of info before they came out and Erick did a great job measuring up and telling me the process. The guys installed the poles without breaking any pipes or killing plants, they cleaned up. A few weeks later they installed the shade sails that look amazing. Im a contractor and developer and know details very well....these guys delivered

We were more than happy with Derek and his crew. All of his installers were professional, timely, and friendly. The anchor points for the sails were made incredibly strong. The custom made posts are buried quite deep in large diameter post holes dug down very deep. The anchors on the house are made of very thick metal plates screwed into corner wood beams, and one of the anchor loops is reinforced in the attic with a metal brace that they made on the spot. We have seen installations from other companies with thin pole anchors and eye bolt screws anchored into fascia of the house... NO COMPARISON ! In summary: a beautiful design placed by highly professional people.

Derek creates beautiful shade structures for many of our new high end apartment complexes in the West LA Region. I recommend using his services and products in creating a unique relaxing environmental at a reasonable price!

After engaging several providers, Derek rose above all with his personal service and knowledge of the business. We are a church that had a very challenging space that needed shade. Derek came up with a great design that provided the necessary shade and it fit in beautifully with our architecture.Felt like a partnership all the way through to completion. Got Shade built a very nice custom shade for the rear of my home. The quality of the work was very good. There was a small issue but Derksent his crew out and fixed the issue right away.I would highly recommend this company for your shade needs.
