A few weeks ago, I started looking for medical coverage as my Cobra coverage was soon to expire. I went online looking for an insurance agent. There are many. I picked one, I made a phone call. Within the next 48 hours, I had over 100 calls and hang-ups that went straight to the silent and spam folder. Nightmarish at best. This was not going to work. I then went to the Covered California website, and their application process was even worse than that of buying a house. That was not going to work either. After a bit more research, I found Dennis with Goodacre Insurance Services. The website was simple, and the reviews were outstanding. I wrote Dennis an email, he answered promptly. We made an appointment to have a phone call. We spoke. He answered my questions and helped me decide what best plan to take. Over the next couple of weeks, I still had a few questions, which Dennis once again answered promptly. I went to his site and filled out the application, which, by comparison to the cover, was a walk in the park. My entire experience with Dennis and Goodacre Insurance services was flawless. Going anywhere else is pointless.

I wish I could give Dennis ten stars! Ive been a W2 employee for 30 years and during that time, I had the good fortune of having my very expensive health insurance fully paid by my employer. This year, my husband and I made the big leap to being fully self-employed, which meant a huge transition with our health insurance. I tried navigating Covered CA website myself and was hopelessly lost and confused. I found Dennis agency through a web search while trying to figure things out and reached out right away. He was super responsive (even answered me on a weekend!) and he walked me through every step, patiently answering all of my thousands of questions. Retired, I needed to get a special enrollment with Covered California for my family Medical and Dental. I was having no luck with the State website. Dennis Jarvis was able to answer all my questions promptly and had us enrolled in no time. Dennis is REALLY patient & knowledgeable. Simply excellent service. I am a financial advisor, and am also licensed to sell life and health insurance in California. Originally I tried to sign up with the marketplace as an agent, but it was WAY too complicated. There are a lot of exceptions and innuendo. There are tax issues. There are so many things that go into analyzing the best insurance to get and Dennis is the very best specialist to determine the very best way to go. I will be referring all of my clients to Dennis going forward if there are any issues and I am so so happy that I was able to find Dennis. There are a lot of hacks in the insurance industry and you can unfortunately get ripped off pretty easily, but Dennis, he is totally trustworthy and one of a kind!

Dennis was able to help us figure out how we had messed up our online application for Covered California, and ended up only qualified for Medi-Cal. Once that happens, it takes about 4 weeks to correct. Had we been enrolling with his help, he would have been able to fix that immediately, but we ended up having to wait for a month before being able to apply. I recommend him to anyone considering signing up for the marketplace, dont try to do it yourself.

It is not an exaggeration to say that Dennis Jarvis saved my life. When I was a super healthy 26 year old, he talked me through everything and convinced me to pay something like $12 more per month for significantly better insurance (which I hadnt realized was an option because the health insurance marketplace was so confusing). Two months later I was severely injured, and 4 months after that I needed unrelated surgery. Thanks to Dennis, I was able to afford my surgery and medications, go to as much physical therapy as I needed for more than a year, and saved an insane amount of money thanks to low out-of-pocket max, deductibles and copays. If I had gone with my original plan, I would not have been able to afford the care I needed. Im so grateful that I had someone looking out for me.

I tried going direct through Covered California, very glitchy. Also extremely unclear on how to determine your income. I kept coming up with a full premium which I could not afford. I contacted Goodacre through their website and contacted them and filled out their online application with exact #s from the front of my 1040 form. They have a spot where I could type in my income and what line # that the income appeared. By doing this I was able to have a $1 premium. I am very pleased with their service.
