The mystery has been solved! One night months ago the beeping was just going and going. So I changed the batteries in all the smoke detectors. But the beeping never stopped! So I changed the batteries again. Still the beeping! Maybe the batteries are dead! I tested the batteries with my tongue. Yes the batteries were good! So I removed all the smoke detectors. Ugh 😩 still the F&@$en sound. Asked my long time friend Jennifer Finley for help! She sent James Lozano from Goodlife! This dude looked everywhere! Climbed in the attic, not once, but three different times! He was here for an hour! But nothing! Brenda was cleaning a drawer today and we heard the beep! Yes it was the carbon monoxide detector in the drawer! My point is James and Jennifer were here helping me! That’s what counts!

Wow, what a great experience with these guys! James came on a rainy Saturday to complete a home inspection for a short closing on a new home purchase! These guys were just great. They did the most thorough inspection I’ve ever seen, complete with a 45 page detailed report, including pictures! They took the time to answer my questions, explain issues using understandable language, and never once did I feel like my questions were dumb or uneducated in this field. They were respectful to the house structure itself, making sure to wear shoe covers and keeping everything clean, they were respectful to me, and their overall demeanor was genuine and kind.Would I recommend them? Absolutely.Would I use them again? 💯Would I consider using anyone else? Nope.

This is an excellent home inspection business. The inspector was professional, friendly and very helpful in explaining the results of the inspection. Our realtor selected this service for us and we were extremely disappointed. Their inspector was wrong on several fronts, and it cost us thousands of dollars. Specifically, he noted four windows that needed repair. We later found a note from the window cleaners, hired by the sellers of the house, that noted twelve failed windows. This after our offer was in. Bringing out a window repair person and telling them of the four windows needing repair, he pointed out that at least twelve were failed or very close to failing. Another matter was his notation for the sewer drain, showing a line from the cleanout to the street, claiming a dash mark on the curb noted the drain. I had a sewer inspection come out and was shown where the actual S was on the curb, as well as where the actual cleanout was. Inspector was wrong on both fronts. I advise looking elsewhere for a reliable home inspection.A follow-up about two weeks later - I called the manager and was told he needed to come out to inspect the property himself and he “would have to check his schedule” and get back to me. He never did. I have moved on and am having 11 windows replaced at my own cost. This inspection company was largely useless.

After using this company on 3 different homes in the last year I will never use them again. I had them doing about 5000.00 worth of work on a house that I purchased in Rocklin and I had some concerns, Bill the project manager was supposed to meet me at the home at 8.30 am along with his crew. I told Bill that I had about an hour drive, I was at the home all day performing some light projects but I never heard from Bill, his crew performed all the work. I called the office several times and when Bill finally returned my call a few days later he admitted that he was called to a larger more important job and he did not have the decency to call and tell me that he was not showing up. Bill claims that he was at the house later in the day, however he did not call me or bother to ring the doorbell. One of the projects at the house was installing a new door and I explained to Bill that the deadbolt could not be used because it was misaligned, after apologizing to me for not calling he assured me he would schedule someone to come out and adjust the door, 1 month later and I have never heard from them. I fixed it myself. They also sublet my Roof work to a roofing company without telling me which I also had issues with. This company clearly does not treat customers very well and only cares about the larger jobs. I have relayed my concerns to my realtor.

Advice: double check the work. We requested vapor barrier installation in our crawl space to prevent moisture from the soil to go upwards and enter the house through the floor.They workers didnt speak English and probably thats why they could not read the contract to do the job correctly. Regardless, they cut the corners terribly by not covering the soil completely. Looked like a job done by a teenager who just wanted to mark the task complete. Unacceptable negligence. It was a scam to have to pay for that. I dont have faith in the quality since theres no quality guarantee.To be fair to them, they settled it by charging half of the cost.

Marc went above and beyond providing services for our Buyers and Sellers.Marc was instrumental in communicating with the Buyer and comforting him to continue the transaction and close escrow knowing that he has the backing of the NAHS team to complete the repairs after close of escrow.At a time when the escrow is ready to close, the Buyer elected to cancel the contract. Using North American Home Services for my home inspection was a $10k mistake. They performed a home inspection for a home that I purchased.The inspection completely missed that the chimney is falling off the house and needs to be completely rebuilt. In the inspection report, the inspector noted minor repairs needed to the masonry but not that the CHIMNEY IS COMPLETELY FALLING OFF OF THE HOUSE.From 1 picture I sent to a construction contractor, he immediately identified that the foundation of the chimney was unstable. This was not noted anywhere in the report. Had I known that this repair would cost $10k, I would not have moved forward with the purchase of this home without a repair credit from the seller.My realtor contacted North American Home Services, who claimed that they had called out the chimney issues in the report and refused to do anything to rectify the situation. Again, what was called out in the report was very minor, and did not note that the foundation of the chimney was unstable and that the chimney was loose from the house.Using this company for my home inspection is the biggest regret I have for my home buying experience. I would not recommend this company to anyone who wants to avoid costly surprises.

Don came out to see our issues and was very professional and thoroughly explained what he saw and why he suggested what he was recommending. Ivan came out to do the work and when he finished he showed me what he did. I mentioned that Don had also suggested some work in areas that he (Ivan) didnt do --because the treatment is meant for closer to the wall and with appliances it would have been further out. But when I mentioned this to Ivan, without hesitation he got his equipment back out and did that too. Staff was also great when I needed to call in. Very friendly and responded quickly.

WORST HOME INSPECTION COMPANY EVER!house just bought less than a month just for the AC unit to get burned, had an HVAC company and the home warranty both to inspect it just to find out that the unit in the attic doesn’t match the outside unit as one of them uses the R22 and the other uses the 410 A refrigerant which what led to the burning of the AC unit! While reviewing their inspection report that they emailed my wife they didn’t bother entering the attic stating the following “ Attic inspection performed: In accordance with industry standards, we will not attempt to enter an attic that has less than thirty-six inches of headroom, is restricted by ducts, or in which the insulation obscures the joists and thereby makes mobility hazardous, in which case we will inspect the attic as best we can from the access point. When access is restricted hidden defects may be present and we strongly recommend you ask the sellers to disclose all informationconcerning any previous attic maintenance, repairs or roof leaks that may have occurred. was limited” I’m deployed overseas and I now have to pay 20K for a whole new AC system while these guys charged us 1000+ dollars for stopping by and taking pictures of the areas they feel comfortable to!

Frustrated beyond measure. Recently my parents had an inspection done on their home for a refinance. They are on a fixed income so costs are extremely important when it comes to process. The inspection was done and the report classified two small areas on the report that had signs of dry rot on the window sill. My father being a contractor immediately fixed the issues as stated in the report. Problem is there are no pictures identifying the areas of issue. I have seen other pest reports from other companies and they all have one thing in common, pictures. So work was done and re-inspection scheduled. Initial email says no cost for re-inspection. Re-inspection is done and inspector notates another area of dry rot not initially reported. Get a new email of a full price re-inspection fee in order to get sign off. Dad fixes what was stated again with no pictures and sends picture of fixed work. Guess what it is stated that it was the wrong area. Again dad fixes this mystical spot of dry rot on another location. Sends picture and now magically its fixed. And all of this is over a piece of trim board sitting on top of stucco being called as structural. I dont know if this is standard practice for this firm but this is a dirty way of extracting more money from people because they are held over a barrel. DONT USE THIS COMPANY. Standard of care is abysmal and you will just end up being bled for re-inspection fees.

They have horrible Customer Service. As part of the required repairs some of the siding needed to be replaced. Half way through the demo the workmen were sent out looking for replacement siding to match the existing siding. After more than an hour they returned with a textured siding that was unacceptable. There are now two Real Estate agencies that will never use them again. In addition, they held my check of over $2k for over 2 weeks. When it was finally deposited the check was returned for NSFunds. Now they’re charging me a fee for the returned check. I was in the process of selling my home, moving out and didn’t notice that the check had not cleared.

My family recently moved to Elk Grove and in the disorder of the move had not begun a new contract with NAHS. But NAHS was the first company I thought of when I discovered fleas in my yard from my neighbors dogs. I am currently experiencing a delayed escrow because of this company vengeful and unprofessional behaviour. I was not satisfied with the re-inspection report and asked to speak with a supervisor. Once that supervisor came out to the property, I got an immediate visit from the City of Sacramento Inspectors office, asking where my permit. He admitted he was not just driving by, there was a complaint put in and Im very sure due to the circumstances that it was either Eric or Stephan that called the city to halt the construction because me and my agent were not satisfied with their previous report. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!! THEY WILL GET REVENGE AND CALL THE CITY BLDG INSPECTOR AND THEY WILL STOP YOUR CLOSING ON YOUR HOME. Im a single parent and this was my dream home and these unprofessional individuals have messed up my escrow indefinitely!!

The pests were so bad at my house we were considering selling even though we are upside down. NAHS completely wiped out our pest issues. Weve had 3 other companies out to try and fix this issue (2 of those the most well known pest companies) and we saw no difference aside from a 2 or 3 day reprieve and all of those companies charged more. If youre the homeowner trying to sell, dont let them on your property. The so called pest inspector will attempt to do a home inspection along with an estimate of repairs, an obvious conflict of interest. Hell damage whatever to prove you should hire them to fix his problems. Again, if youre selling your house dont let them inspect your property! I just received two estimates for work they recommended. Both contractors laughed about how petty the inspector was. Their estimates for repairs were less than half North American quoted!!!

We just bought our first home. Built 1948, had some dry rot & termite damage. Called North American for a pest inspection. Roman Mankovskiy came in for the pest inspection. I liked Roman, but the competitors prices were better. Roman didnt just meet the competition, he beat the total. If that isnt enough to make you smile, Roman never lost his can do attitude. A few things were broken in the fumigation, it haooens. I mentioned it to Roman. Without another word, the broken items were fixed. At no point fid i feel like corners were cut. The bottom line, there just isnt better service out there. Thanks Roman for making it happen.

They tripped the breakers in the garage, and exterior of my house, accidentally disconnected my garage door, failed to complete the pest inspection, and then just left, claiming in their final report that everything they broke required paid repairs, singlehandely de-valuing the house with their incompetence.
