Shane Goodwin is THE very best plumber I have ever used. Remember his name—Goodwin—he is the Good 1. It’s the name of his business. He doesn’t just do a good job—He does it right. He spends all of the time it takes to do the work right, and NOT to inflate the price, but because he holds himself to a really high standard.Shane lost a client working on my job. Mine was tough—a rusted two-handle bathroom faucet in a really tight space. The other guy called twice. Shane told him that my job was hard and gave him an arrival time that was later, evidently, than he’d first predicted. The guy bailed. His loss. Nobody can perfectly predict how long a job will take.Shane is the owner/operator of his business—one guy—He’s the receptionist, scheduler, operator, accountant. He was absolutely on time for my job, but happened to run over for the other guy. The next time I need a plumber, I’m calling Good 1, and if he texts me that he’s running late because of a tough job, I will wait because I know he’ll come around and do a great job, taking the exact amount of time needed to do it right, and because he’s the Good 1, and he’s worth it.

We had the best experience with Shane. He came to our house only three days after I contacted him to install our RO water system. He was on time, sent me updates to when to expect him that I really appreciated. His quote was reasonable and he did a great job, quick and he was so kind to fix our garbage disposal jam that happened the night before. Very professional and courteous, highly recommended!

Found myself standing in a mini lake in the middle of my kitchen one night, was able to book an appointment for the next afternoon. Shane was extremely professional, knowledgeable, considerate, and skilled! Over the past year, Shane has fixed a toilet leak and replaced a garbage disposal for us. He is prompt, dependable, knowledgeable, and fair. He came out to replace the leaky garbage disposal, on short notice, on a Sunday! He will be there when you need him, he will do a great job, and he will make the process easy for you!

We got a new water softener installed by Shane and we’re thrilled to finally get soft water throughout the entire house! Shane worked very diligently, paying close attention to everything from choice of softener and design details to materials used for the installation. Shane was absolutely amazing.Our plumbing backed up in the middle of the night, and with our second bathroom under construction, we needed to get it fixed asap. We called Shane and he was at our door step in less than 10 min. He was able to figure out the problem and get it fixed in a timely manner. He was very pleasant and helpful. We greatly appreciate the work he did for us and will definitely use his services again.

I had leak on main water line from the meter to my house.I called Shane (Im a returning customer- too often ) and he scheduled with me next day. He referred me to who did digging only to reduce my costs. Excellent & honest service in timely manner with reasonable cost. Highly recommend this company for any home plumbing issues. Shane came over to check on our water pipes to see why our water pressure was so low and why our tankless water heater was taking so long to heat our water. Turns out it was due to massive scale buildup. The previous owners did not maintain the water pipes. Shane helped to resolve the problem as well as explain why this happened and showed me what I needed to do to to maintain the pipes. He was detailed and efficient in his work. He answered all my questions and made sure I understood what he explained. He will be back to install a scale cutter system on my water heater. I highly recommend calling him!

Im reluctant to write this review because I want to keep this guy a secret. Here in South Santa Clara county it can be difficult to find a plumber who seems to care and wants to do a quality job. Lets not forget its nice to work with service people who are personable. Shane at Good 1 Plumbing installed a water heater and a reverse-osmosis water filter for us. His pricing was great, but I would highlight his attention to the details. He did not just slam the units in like many would have done, he took the time to explain the codes and make it all look aesthetically pleasing...well as much as plumbing can be aesthetically pleasing.

I first met Shane when my sewage lift station failed during a holiday and nobody else was willing to come out and help. Once I told him that I had a serious sewer issue he dropped his non-emergency project and came right away. Turns out I was out of his service area, but he was true to his word and came anyway. Since that first project, Shane has helped me with multiple sewage lift station issues at my home and my in laws (including a full replacement), a whole house water filter, and a complex water heater replacement.Shane is professional, punctual, and transparent (he will clearly explain what he is doing and why). I’m addition, he is extremely respectful and clean. For example, when he worked with the sewage lift station he laid out a tarp on my deck to ensure that no waste would soak into the wood, wears double gloves and switches out the outer latex layer often, washes everything he uses with clean water, and uses a generous amount of clean towels to keep thing even cleaner.Obviously I highly recommend working with Shane on your next project.

Look no further. Shane is the best plumber you will ever come across. He helped me on two separate occasions, one with my water softener and the other with a leaking water spigot. Shane is extremely responsive, I sent him a text and he answered in a matter of minutes. He knows his stuff better than anyone, he can diagnose 99% of problems over a phone call and most importantly he can solve your problems easily, quickly and cost effectively. Apart from that hes a pleasure to deal with, a great human being all around. I highly recommend Shane, you wont be disappointed.

This is our second time using Shane and we would contact him again if something comes up for our rental property.In short, I gave him a list of several tasks that we needed done to get our condo upgraded & move-in ready. Pros:-fast, efficient. Came to my house within 1 hr of me calling while on his way to his other job.-free course to save me money next time. Thoroughly walked me through the fix, parts, pricing, mfg warranty. Talked the whole time to educate me as much as possible during his short time here.-reasonably priced. The bill was painful but its cheaper than all the past 5 star plumbers from Yelp/Google that Ive used.-good communications. Texted me his ETA as he was getting gas and 60 secs before pulling into my driveway.-respected my house, took off his shoes, was careful with taking things out and in.Cons:-noneSummary:Shane is my new plumber going forward. With great service and reasonable pricing, Shane will continue to rack up customers. These are the reasons why he has all 5 star reviews on Google(7) and Yelp(130). There is only 1 review under 5 star but I think she was being unreasonable on the scheduling.

Shane, being the amazing guy he is! Wasnt available to come and help me out with an issue I had today as he was booked up but he was able to take my call and text and even turned into a FaceTime just so he can ensure I was doing things correctly. Heres how today went down..I was in the process of replacing an old toilet with a new toilet (new toilet recommended by Shane by the way)and thought it was going to be an easy job as I just replaced my other restroom toilet last week but boy was I wrong. My water line valve had been rusted and broke off when I tried to turn it into the off position so I sent Shane a text with a Photo of my issue. He called me back in less then 5 mins and walked me through a couple steps and then he sent me a list of what items to go and grab from Home Depot(sizes, names of items and pictures )to make it even easier when I went there. When I came back from grabbing what was needed he asked me to FaceTime him so he can walk me through(step by step) how to remove and replace the parts that were crucial to this job, he even walked me through how to go about Turing off the main water line and how to properly turn it back on with out busting any pipes with the high pressure.(I would have just turned everything back on if it wasnt for his tip)Overall even though he wasnt able to come by... he still helped me out tremendously and because of that- he deserves this review and some!! Definitely my go to plumber!!!!

Scheduling was the easiest of any contractor I’ve hired (and I’ve hired many). Shane was very knowledgeable and thorough. To find our leak, in 100 degree weather, he checked all over our hill’s irrigation and suited up in plastic coveralls to check the crawl space. Bless him!I’ll call him again in a heartbeat.

Shane came out within a few hours of calling him to unclog our kitchen sink. The pipes ended up having a lot of build up in them, and Shane took the time to completely clean them out and showed us how to prevent this from reoccurring. He was even friendly and personable with our 4 year old twin boys. We will be using him again if we have any more problems!

I called Good 1 Minor Plumbing because I had sewer smell coming from my toilets. Shane was extremely responsive from the moment I submitted my request for a consultation all the way to the end of his repair of the issue. We first spoke on the phone to get an idea of what the issue could be and then I was able to conveniently book an in-person consultation through his website. He was right on time for the consultation and gave me so much info about what could possibly be wrong with my toilets. He gave me as much info as he could without actually removing the toilet to see what was wrong.Based on the possible scenarios of what could be wrong, he recommended that I purchase a part he may possibly need for the repair, and sent me a link to the exact part on Amazon so we could have it on hand, and I could know exactly how much it cost and when it would arrive. He was very knowledgeable about my toilets and was aware that they were installed over very expensive tile work. He committed to making a clean reinstallation of the toilets no matter what the issue turned out to be. He then encouraged me to go ahead and book our next appointment for whenever the part was scheduled to arrive so there would be no delay in the repair timeline.On the day of the repair, he texted me to confirm his arrival time and when he arrived he got straight to work. Mid-repair he showed us what the exact issue was with the toilets (poor prior installation and displaced wax rings) and confirmed that we were making adequate repairs to address the smell problem. He replaced the wax rings, properly reset the toilets, and replaced the flapper valve in one of the toilets to address a flushing problem. He left everything in excellent condition and the smell was gone immediately! Good 1 Minor Plumbing perfectly addressed my problem and Shane was a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend.
