My mom bought a house with Sam and when it came time to buy my first house she referred me to Sam and his wife Elena. The whole process there was a steady stream of communication. We found Sam through our mortgage broker who highly recommended Sam Golovey because of his years of experience working with him, his successful record as a realtor, experience in the area and strong negotiation skills! While realtors abound everywhere, finding one who is consistent and successful in their practice is much more difficult. We initially found our home through Zillow and sent it over to Sam who was quick to open negotiations for us to put an offer on a house in the Elverta area! Throughout the house hunting process he was polite and respectful and we appreciated his forthrightness in some of the houses we looked at. Not just looking to make a sale, he honestly wanted us to find a house which we wouldn’t regret buying and could call our home. During escrow his strong negotiation skills and excellent communication helped us through process and get a price point we can afford! It was an answer to prayer and we love our home and its location!

Sam has been nothing but great when it came to being our choice of realtor. Although my wife and I were in a difficult situation with the current market, Sam was there with us through thick and thin. He was patient, optimistic, understanding and kind. We never felt pressured like some sort of a sales pitch, matter of fact - it was more so as if he was putting himself in our shoes. We had looked at multiple houses however when we closed on the one, Sam did the final walk through and offered to personally cover some of the expenses that have incurred during the closing period. On top of that, there was a celebratory dinner that Sam took us out on so make sure to order everything on the menu when your time comes. Honesty and integrity goes a long way. 10/10 would choose Golovey Real Estate again.

I heard about Sam from another real estate agent. This other agent came up online well- recommended with good reviews. But they had a family emergency and could not take us on, so they referred us to Sam based on his stellar reputation. Sam is kind, knowledgeable, professional, personable, and down to earth. He takes the time to get to know you so he can help you get the house that best fits your needs. Also, he genuinely cares. My girlfriend’s house purchase was not simple or straightforward. With moving cities, changing jobs, the covid shutdown, and changing preferences through the process, it took almost a year to close. Sam was never discouraged, very positive, genuinely so. He reads the room he’s in and knows how to address the subtext of what is really going on, watching to make sure everything is accurate and no one gets the chance to take you for a ride.
