This place is awesome! Excellent coffee and a fantastic atmosphere. My wife got a latte with pistachio milk, a double shot of espresso, and a touch of honey. I got a Spanish Latte and both were excellent. Staff was very friendly and knowledgable about their . Very relaxed the vibe in here… We go on coffee dates almost every weekend and go to a new place every time somewhere in So Cal. This is our favourite so far… People can come here and set up shop and pretty much use it as their office… Very large place but does not lack any of the quaint feel… highly recommend checking this place out.

Walking in here you will feel transported to a rustic, looking living room at your rich, best friend’s house lol 😝Love the ambience of casual/Lounge feel; a great place to unite with friends to chill and have intimate conversations. This place brings a feel of peace, safe and comfy environment to have a good convo with anyone.I opted for a Matcha green tea latte with almond milk yummy! and I ordered the Garden provolone breakfast sandwich . It was very good. It came with micro greens and pesto 😋Customer service was excellent I highly, highly, highly recommend this place over Starbucks, Coffee Bean or Ape Coffee 😎Come early and you will beat the traffic of people and experience this place in a very quiet and peaceful way.

How. How have I only just discovered Golden State Coffee? Located in Old Town Placentia it has alllll the cool vibes with brick and wood and arches and soooo much space inside and out!They have been roasting coffee for more than 10 years so they know their stuff. My matcha was yum and they have an exceptional menu with vegan and gf options. The aesthetic is a 10/10, street parking is easy unless its a busy time. The service is friendly and helpful. Plenty of merch and just an overall great experience. Good to study and work. But also great for catchups with friends. Its movie to the top of my favorite list!

I went there by chance and the coffee tasted good so I went again, but because of the young staff who were so rude, I didnt drink the coffee I bought here that day and I wont go again. My husband and I are usually interested in interior design and equipment, and this cafe is open to the public where the employees work. My husband was looking at the clearly visible equipment with interest, and suddenly, to my shock, the girl who worked there glared at my husband and told him not to look. I was so angry when I saw that, but because she was just a kid, I didn’t make a big deal out of it and left. I won‘t go again

I enjoy the atmosphere and homey space inside especially the brick walls that give it a nice coffee shop feel in Old Town Placentia. I ordered myself a matcha latte; came out too milky instead of the matcha taste which was a bit disappointing.

Just discovered this gem. They opened about 5 months ago. Spacious. Great place to bring a laptop and work, meet with friends, and be in a clean rustic environment that really revolves around coffee lovers. Plenty of outlets along the walls. Prices are on par with other boutique coffee shops...an espresso mocha is $4.something. Espresso is on the more acidic side (the kind that is served along with sparkling water when ordered as a shot), which techincally most coffee lovers like since its real craft drinks...but just a heads up about that.Came here with a laptop to work and try an espresso mocha and thoroughly enjoyed the service, the environment, and got a lot done. Will be back!

In the past month Ive visited GSR on two occasions in an attempt to buy whole beans.On the first visit, I arrived around 10:30/11am, and there was 1 person in line in front of me. When I inquired about decaf beans, I was told they had them roasted and ready in the back, but that they would need at least 20 minutes to be able to provide them. They claimed it was because they were busy, however at this point there was no one in line and they had one drink they were working at the bar. So i left.On my second visit, I arrived at 9am on a Saturday, they had 4 bags of beans on their display, but not the espresso blend that they carry on their site. I asked if they had their espresso blend (1850) which they carry, and he nonchalantly looked at the 4 bags on the shelf and muttered, well they can all be used for espresso. That is not what i was asking. I could tell I was already taking too much of his important time, so I made it quick. so this is all the beans you have available right now?, he said yes only that on the shelf. Again nobody in line, and there were 3 baristas behind the counter. He did not want to discuss options, recommendations or anything else. Just wanted to go back to steaming milk.What I am believing is that GSR does not want to sell beans as much as it wants to sell basic bagels and lattes. I get it, im sure profit levels are much higher on basic food you mark up.Wont be visiting again, as I dont support their business culture. They clearly dont value their bean sales. They did not interact between baristas or with customers in any way that would make me want to consider this a place to spend money or my time

Ive been here 3 times so far and Ive always had a good experience. Great coffee & tea. Great customer service. Friendly staff. The place feels very open and clean. And with the ongoing pandemic, to say all that means a lot since some places that Ive been to the staff seem frantic and not happy to help. But that wasnt the case here. The staff is really nice and making a great atmosphere for their customers.

Did a last-minute catering order for the coffee and service was amazing. The order was ready by the scheduled time. Super friendly staff and helpful when i asked questions on how the process worked. This location is AMAZING for a place to study, read, or get work done remotely. It’s quiet, spacious and has a great vibe. Now for the more negative stuff...I didn’t try any coffee so I cannot speak on that, but I ordered one earl grey tea and it was very good. It was a pretty small amount for the price to be honest. The only think I was really confilcted about and sort of didn’t like was the avocado toast. Positive note, they use real avocados! Fresh! Yay! So, I have braces and the bread they used was pretty hard and a little over toasted. The stuff on top was delish except I couldn’t bite into the bread and it ended up being a bit of a mess. So I got a knife and fork and tried that lol it was also pretty expensive for one small piece of bread and avo (it was like the size of my small little iPhone. Other than that, this place was awesome and I’m definitely visiting again to try the coffee during a remote workday.

I stumbled across this place after getting tacos across the street. Its such a nice environment. Low lighting, calm music, and very nice baristas! One of my favorite local coffee spots. Great vibes, great coffee, great toasts. I usually get hot coffee (cappuccino or flat white), but their iced drinks are also tasty. Also a big fan of the avocado toast and raspberry toast.Sometimes they are a bit understaffed and food/drinks take a long time. Its also often really busy and you cant get a table! Im hoping they open up a second location :)

Have been here a handful of times. Had the regular coffee, frozen mocha, espresso, and americano. All drinks were excellent. They have alternative milks now which is wonderful. The place is beautiful and cozy looking. A nice place to relax, gather, and socialize. I like to stop for coffee before work but this place takes a little more time. Restaurants block off the street for outside dining so it can be difficult to park close by and make it out quickly.

Baristas are nice and knowledgeable, coffee is the best I have had since leaving Portland. Atmosphere is welcoming and unique in design. Natural light and open concept makes for the perfect study spot. Large windows allow you to watch as the coffee is brewed, I couldnt be more happy to have this shop in town. I heard good things about this place and really wanted to try it and love it, but the very slow service left a more-to-be-desired first impression. I noticed that the line was long and moving rather slowly, then as I got to the front, the barista at the register went off to prepare some drink but said (almost inaudibly) they’d be with me shortly. At least 5-7 minutes passed and no one else behind the counter seemed to regard the line growing behind me…I don’t know if three baristas is considered understaffed, but with no follow up from the staff or an apology for still waiting, I walked out. Maybe I’ll give it another chance in the future, but not until there’s an improvement in service.

Don’t dare ask for espresso over ice, the arrogant trendy barista will give you a snappy response that lacks substance or any true definition of why they don’t offer that, instead he’ll just say “We don’t make ghetto lattes.” Even if you you’re willing to pay for what you want. This is place is larger than you think. They have lots of seating and even private conference rooms. The decor and style of the place is nice & it showcases the architecture of the place. There are areas for students to come study or anyone to bring their work. They have plug ins and wifi is available for customers. On their menu, they have the same basic choices: latte, mach., coffee, etc. They have milk alternatives. The coffee is pretty good and affordable. Their pastries are amazing and freshly made. I recommend the Almond croissant. Its has this jam thats not too sweet and overall, very tasty. They also have KETO options. The place have so many customers coming in and picking up Keto baked goods.

This is by far the largest coffee house I’ve ever been in my whole life. You can fit like a small concert in there. It would be a great spot to do some work in the morning or have meetings there. There always seems to be a bit of a line which is kind of odd because there’s only ever three people in there but the coffee and the croissants are to die for. 10 out of 10 would recommend

This was a coffee joint, my wife and I came for her keto friendly treats as they advertise. They did not have any decaf at 10:30 AM, go figure. We like the setting. Could use a few more non-highchair chairs. I had a small cup of house blend regular coffee. It was served in a nice ceramic mug (good thing). However, the coffee tasted as if it was brewed in an oldschool percolator. We will be back nonetheless... i had a bluberry muffin and was very good albeit it was on the small side. My wife loved her keto treats.

I would definitely recommend the matcha latte and this location to study or just grab coffee!If youre worried whether they are covid friendly or not, do not worry. They have specially marked signs clearly marking which table has been sanitized and have social distancing markers all around the store.Tip: After ordering your coffee/drink ask for the wifi voucher. I would highly recommend the Guji Ardi (if available). It’s easy to drink with incredible flavors. The barista who did the pour over, couldn’t have done a better job. The coffee didn’t bite at all, just smooth from start to finish. The two barista working were kind and attentive and should be TIPPED well when you go.

When you open the door and enter, a spacious space welcomes you. There is also a separate space for coffee roasting. I like that the spacing between tables is relatively wide during the Corona period. I ordered a matcha latte and a butter croissant and it was delicious ☺️ I will go again!!! I will check to see if it is pet friendly and update the review again!
