The staff is friendly, personable and efficient from checking in to check out. Dr. Oberlin is a knowledgeable first class Urologist. He will take the time to discuss your concerns and issues without you having the feeling you are being rushed. on occasion, I have had to see other doctors at the practice and with each one I felt they were of the highest quality Physicians.

Dr. Oberlin is one of the most professional and confident Doctors I have ever meet.Pre Op appointments with me were professional and caring. he answered all my questions and concerns. He had a game plan and it worked to perfection.Surgery went great and with little discomfort.Post Op meeting the next morning went well. Dr. Oberlin explained what to expect in the next few weeks and if I had any concerns or questions to reach out to him and his office. I did have a question after I came home and he followed up with a phone call within hours.Thank you Dr. Oberlin.

Dr. Oberlin is focused and undistracted when he talks with me. He listens carefully to my questions and answers on point. He is good at describing possible treatment plans so I have options and doesnt try to sell the more invasive (and expensive) choices, which has been my experience with some other medical specialists.

Ive seen Dr. Barmé three times. He has a friendly manner and does a good job of explaining things. He prescribed a drug for me and suggested that I use GoodRx to get a good price. He even enrolled me in the program (no cost) and set up the prescription for me. The drug is not covered by my drug plan, but the price through GoodRx was very reasonable--far blow the retail price.

I was always treat with respect and care from the beginning thru my surgery from Dr. Oberlin and his staff. It was a difficult situation to hear you have cancer but, throughout the entire process the the staff was top shelf! I would recommend Dr. Oberlin to anyone who needs to have a top-notch Urologist.

Great doctor and staff. I had a highly unpleasant condition for over a decade that had been treated by two urologists with no improvement. When I eventually saw Dr. Pienkney, he diagnosed my condition and implemented a successful treatment plan very quickly. He is a great doctor - he is knowledgeable, has a great bedside manner, and listens attentively when when I see him. His staff are very capable and quickly resolve any issues such as appointment dates and Rx refills.

I had a kidney stone that, eventually, got stuck in the lower tract for a second ER visit, which managed to push the stone back up into the bladder. I was sure that a urologist could fix it, but it was very hard to get a timely appointment. In the mean time, I was stuck with a catheter. I did get an appointment out about 3 weeks with Dr. Barme, but had to wait the full time as I could find no earlier appointment.Dr. Barmes staff were head-and-shoulders above what I experience elsewhere. Always professional, accessible, and efficient. Dr. Barme offered me the option of an in-office procedure (at a cost of discomfort, compared to waiting for surgical care), and I took it. Dr. Barme fetched the relevant equipment from nearby, re-arranged his schedule, and did the procedure in about 5 minutes. All fixed.I have nothing but positive things to say about Dr. Barmes care, in every respect, including being clear and informative about all relevant issues. 5 *s.

I was absolutely past the end of my rope, and finally, God placed Dr. Pienkny in my life. And what a blessing he has been. All the staff and doctors are very nice. Receptionists are courteous and knowledgeable about the complexities of the various insurance plans. The nurses etc are also knowledgeable and eager to make you as comfortable as possible. I am very happy with Dr. Pienkny he has gotten me back on track. My only problem was one of communications. I didnt realize that the office was not on the Sutter message center and I was not getting answers from anyone. However after talking to Tina problem solved and I went away happy. All in all a great group.

Truthfully, it’s all a blur. I was in the urology office to follow up on some elevated blood work testing. I believe there were something we were going to look at which got some attention and that’s where I left it. I had some life events that took precedence. My brother got very ill, in fact while I was in your office, I got a call for an ambulance and we had to go get him to the hospital. He was sick for six months, and with the sickness followed in his death, and the following day, I had hip surgery and had to recover . Then it was back to work full tilt and no vacation or sick time. So, I probably need to pick up where we left off and frankly I’ve kind of forgotten where that was. I’m sure it’s not the first time something like this is happened with your clients so, it’s not a simple answer of whether I was satisfied with your work. We never had a chance to complete it . If I am still in your books, perhaps we could pick up where we left off.? Feel free to call me and let’s resume or I will let it go until I have time to check with my primary. I I will probably have a new health insurance company come January, so we better get it started, if that something you want or care to do. Anthem Blue Cross was terrible!

He seems to maintain an on-time schedule, and does not keep patients waiting long after their appointment time. Dr. Oberlin performed the surgery successfully. LaShonda was a very caring medical assistant during the procedure. The person who removed the catheter will forever be a hero of mine for her caring and skill (zero pain). The only reason Im not giving five stars is that the office canceled and asked me to reschedule the procedure twice after the initial scheduling, thereby delaying the procedure by two months. The scheduling delays did not reflect well on the office as a whole and increased my anxiety leading up to the procedure.

The reviews must be due to the amazing view of the place ( Berkeley Office) but good luck getting a hold of a front desk and if you do get lucky to get a hold to speak to someone they will be rude and speaking as they hate their lives. ( baby if you hate front desk get another job and dont be miserable), also i had a surgery about a year ago and i regret doing it, in general m y entire experience top to bottom in this facility was awful.

Dr Barme is a great listener with good insight into my unusual health issues. Yeah, I have pain on my pelvic floor probably due to compressed nerves, and even though this was out of the realm of what a urologist works on, he was upfront about, and had great ideas on who to talk to next and what to look for. In all of my experiences at Golden Gate Urology there has never been a time when I felt left out of the loop on my condition, how it was going to be dealt with, nor dissatisfied with the results. The doctors speak to me in laymans terms while answering any/all questions and/or concerns that I may have. All of the staff members are nice and quite helpful, which reduces/eliminates anxiety and/or stress. In other words, ITS ALL GOOD!!!

I was okay with the information I received, but the bedside manners were not the most pleasant. Once the procedure was done and prognosis was delivered, I was left in the room with no closure. I waited for a minute and realized she was done. I got up, found something to clean up myself, dressed and checked out as if I had nothing done. I am left with the thought of should I seek another exam. I am still concern about the polyps in my bladder, and I still have blood in my urine.

Dr. Lee successfully performed a procedure on my enlarged (but not cancerous) prostate, and Im happy with the result. He also dispersed kidney- and bladder-stones, resulting in no pain from a condition that untreated might have led to agony. Im grateful for his timely and skillful interventions.Dr. Lee did expect to correct a pre-existing condition of mine, namely blood in my urine, which made it necessary for me to stop taking lo-dose aspirin as a blood-thinner to protect me from clots that might otherwise cause a stroke or heart-attack. Regrettably the bleeding persisted, and Ive had to stop taking blood-thinners and take a different approach to lessening the chances of clotting. I dont know whether the Watchman device inserted into the atrium of my heart provides equal protection, but Im 83 and so far as I know Im stroke-free.Im sure that Dr. Lee did his best, and I have no reason to think that a different urologist could have done better. I like his businesslike, efficient, straightforward manner, and would recommend him to anyone in need of a competent urologist.

Dr. Pienknys technique in examining my prostate was extremely painful. I dont have a lot of experience with this, but my guess is that this could be done with a lot more care and less force. He did this examination to get an exudate to test for presence of bacteria. After a week of seeing no results posted, I followed-up with the office, only to find out that the test was never run. He maybe a good doctor, but based on my experience, I would not recommend him.

Most of those hiccups were from miscommunications between the doctor and my insurance company, and between the doctor and his staff.
