I took my 2014 Subaru in to check out my transmission. Looks like after 189,000 it was starting to slip. I noticed a Subaru Outback Wilderness and took it for a test drive, when I realized it was my dream car. The people who work at Gold Rush Subaru are very pleasant to work with and Steve who works in the shop is always honest about what really needs to happen with your car. Bill showed me the ropes with the new Wilderness and told me about the incentives of $2,400 off of an outback with 1.9 financing. Once I gave it a test drive, I had to come back a day later and purchase my new Wild Blue and Jessica did the financing and I was in and out in no time. This is my 2nd Subaru from Gold Rush and I am very happy with my purchase.

I bought my first Subaru Outback from Gold Rush and they were amazing! In pursuit of a new car I met with several small dealerships beforehand that were arrogant or not helpful. When I got to Gold Rush, I worked with Edgar and he was awesome! Everybody there was patient and honest. They seem like down to earth people who are passionate about their jobs. No slimy salesman attitude. Edgar and Alex, the finance manager, made the process easy and not intimidating. Just purchased a Subaru Solterra from Gold Rush Subaru and I could not have been happier with the experience. I worked with Jessica Jasper as the salesperson, and I found her to be exceptional. I was looking for a used Subaru Impreza with low miles. Jessica Jasper was very helpful and professional. She was very patient with my questions and transparent with all the details. She was so kind to my baby daughter who wanted to run everywhere and even gave her a stuffed dog, which she now walks around with everywhere. Always took my car here for maintenance and when it was time to upgrade I went in because we had a great relationship and trust built. I went in and got so much courteous and helpful assistance. Gerry helped me out so much and got me hooked up with a new Crosstrek Sport and a great trade in offer super quickly. He was incredibly knowledgeable and polite throughout the process. My husband and I have now bought a couple vehicles from this dealership and we would buy again!! Paul Almeida was a pleasure to work with from the moment we walked in he answered everything we asked and was very honest. I loved that he took us on a great and long test drive it really allowed us to get a good feel of the truck. The entire staff was extremely friendly and I didnt feel pressured, it was very relaxed! Took my 2017 Forester to Gold Rush Subaru since my local mechanic could not figure out what was wrong with the front end vibration and noise. It has about 91,000 miles on it with no significant repairs. They advised me that it needed a new transmission. They went to bat for me with Subaru and got a replacement transmission at no cost (extended warrantee) within two days and got me back on the road less than one week. I see that most dealers take over two weeks to do this repair.I am completely satisfied with Gold Rush and will definitely take my car to them and purchase my next Subaru from them. Visiting Gold Rush Subaru was a much different and positive experience than any other we’ve had at other dealers in the past. I went there last month just to check out a car that I had seen online and planned to buy but at a different dealership in Napa. Gold Rush just happened to have the exact same car and I had no plans to buying there. Once my family and I arrived there and had an opportunity to look at the car for a few minutes, we were greeted by Shane with a very welcoming vibe and no sense of pressure at all. Shane was great with answering questions and eventually we decided to test drive the car we were looking at since Shane had made us feel very comfortable and welcomed. Our whole test drive basically just felt like riding around town with a friend, while checking out the car and having an expert answering any questions we had. After spending just a few minutes with Shane, my family and I just felt like this was the place that was going to take very good care of us and I could not think of going anywhere else to look for a car, and we were right! Our whole experience was easy, comfortable and convenient. We happily went home with our used 2019 Subaru Forester Sport and we love it! Today, I went back in to have our New Forester’s radio serviced and Shane and the whole team were extremely helpful, kind, and friendly! Shane greeted me by name with great smile and handshake, like seeing an old good friend again. The whole service and parts staff were amazing and made sure to take care of my needs in a timely manner. My whole experience there has been one of the best I’ve had. I highly recommend everyone to go check them out and experience the family friendly atmosphere that Gold Rush Subaru provides.

Warning: DO NOT purchase a used vehicle from this dealership and be especially wary of the salesman named Bill M. On 5.1.2024, I told Bill I wanted to take a 2017 Subaru Forester, VIN: JF2SJAWC3HH428284 for a pre-purchase inspection at a local Subaru shop, he hesitated and reluctantly agreed (I should have walk then). The garage inspected the car for app 30 minutes, then showed me FOUR serious issues which needed immediate attention: suspension bushings were torn or loose on all 4 corners, requiring new control arms. Brake rotors were so rusty that they caused a rotational dragging noise - needed new brake on all 4 wheels. An alignment was badly needed. In addition the AC blower motor needed replacement. The repairs would cost over $5K. When I asked Bill if he would fix it or discount the price so I could, he arrogantly replied absolutely not. I then asked him if he was going to place it back on the lot for sale without making the necessary repairs, he said absolutely I am, there is no safety issues with the car and it has 90,000 miles, and that neither he or the dealership could possibly know that the car had these problems. I then reminded Bill that he and his dealership assured me that a thorough inspection was completed, that the technicians at the garage needed only 30 minutes to find the problems. He obviously knew of the issues. I told him I felt obligated to leave a review to warn other customers that Gold Rush Subaru is knowing selling cars with major mechanical problems, he responding by saying I was threatening him. Then said he never told me he was putting the car back on the lot with a fix, but that he needs to ... you guessed it: talk to his manager! I looked at the room of 5 technicians and reminded Bill that they heard him tell me he was placing it on the lot without a fix just a minute prior. He then said again that they cant know everything about the cars they sell and said Im done talking to you. My experience may have been unique, but I really doubt so as an honest person would have responded by apologizing for the oversight and offered to fix the issues; Bill did the exact opposite! Very slimy experience!At last check on 5.2.2024, this silver 2017 Forester remains listed online -- I guess Bills manager is on vacation, or they havent had time to update the listing - yeah, thats probably it.

I had a great experience buying a car at this dealership. I got the price I wanted and we are very happy with the car. After we kept notes for a few weeks (in the little notebook they provide) with our questions and what we needed to learn (so much is electronic now), we went back for the personal training (my words) and Tiffany was terrific at answering our questions. We even received a $25 gas card for coming back for this service.Just now (about 2 months later) I ordered some parts (mud flaps, door edge guards, etc.) and the people on the phone (both parts and service and the woman who answers the general line) were so nice, going above and beyond to be helpful. I paid $500 for 10 oil change/service that included tire rotations. After the fifth appointment I noticed extreme wear on my front tires. The service manager explained the wear was due to wheels being out of alignment. After checking the alignment, it was found that one rear tire was out of alignment. Front tires were aligned. It was very apparent to me and three other non affiliated tire professionals that the wear was due to tires not being rotated. The manager also admitted that workers in the service department sometimes neglect to rotate tires. Gold Country Subaru has not honored their contracted commitment, causing premature need to replace my tires.

Im writing about a problem that I had with my Impreza a few months back. A tow truck had severely damaged the underside of the car. Colin, the service representative, was incredible and helpful at every step, from getting to the heart of the problem to supporting us in filing the claim, and my car has been running well since. Very thankful to the professional and welcoming staff at Gold Rush. I live in LA now, but would definitely get my car serviced here if I was in the Sacramento area.

Buying my 2022 Ascent was a very good experience. My sales advisor Shane Grauer is a true professional whose focus was to cover the myriad of information so I could enjoy my new Subaru. And I do enjoy it! It drives very well, has critical safety features as well as comfort and driving features.- Subaru has earned it overwhelming positive reputation with vehicles that are well made, enjoy overwhelming positive customer feedback and keeps safety top of mind- They back their pet safety program with great accessories and awesome ads. I have 3 dogs and their safety is important to me.- Shane Grauer is an excellent representative of Subaru. He is knowledgeable, thoughtful and doesn’t try to push the sale. He took the time to explain every detail not only about the sales process, the car features but also how to maintain my new Ascent- Lastly, Subaru thinks beyond the car itself. They are a national sponsor of the National Parks Association and a Pet Charity program. Great corporate responsibility. More companies should follow Subaru’s exampleMy only nit is that sales advisors are pushed to sell every option, service, warranty and even the kitchen sink. That is a top down corporate and sales management issue that exists in every car company. It’s outdated, cheesy and doesn’t really work. Informed buyers conduct an internet search on everything from parts to price. This extraneous and useless sales action needs to go the way of the sales plaid jacket and greasy hair.

Before coming here, I was having a hard time finding a car within my budget and was disappointed with other dealers (and the selection at the sierra college auto show). The staff was super nice. They kept me in the loop, as to the progress of my car repair. They told me my car could be done as soon as noon, but no later than 1:30. True to their word, they called me at 12:45 to say the work was done, but they needed another 15 minutes to finish the paper work (They were very busy). By 1:05, the paperwork was signed, they had walked me to the car and I was driving away.As a mechanic, I hate waiting on others to work on my cars. I only do it when its warranty or recall work. In reality, Ive never been miss treated by any service department, but Gold Rush just went a little bit farther than anyone else has, to make the experience pleasant. Absolutely the best car buying experience I have ever had!We live in the Bay Area and started looking for a new Crosstrek around our area. Every dealer we spoke to added big markups or expensive mandatory dealer add ons above the MSRP. It just felt like we were being taken advantage of by these Bay Area dealers. So I start looking in other areas and found Gold Rush Subaru. I spoke to the internet sales person John Ingrim. He was friendly and helpful. It actually seemed he want to help and get us the car we wanted. He found the exact car for us and said it was scheduled to come in within a few weeks. 15 minutes later I had my fully refundable deposit to him. To be clear, when a new car is delivered to them, they take it off the truck and immediately do the paint and fabric protection. However it was relatively inexpensive and seemed fair given the difficulty of finding the new car you want these days.When the car came in and my wife and I drove up to pick it up. Of course I expected that some surprise price increases or the usual unpleasant experience with the finance guy would happen once we got there. But to my surprise everything went just like John promised. And best of all everyone we dealt with was friendly and forthright. Even the finance guy was great. He worked hard to get us the best interest rate.Well worth the drive to Auburn. Even had a nice lunch after we left the dealership.BTW, the Crosstrek is a great car. Gold Rush sold me a used Subaru that has been nothing but a total disaster. Within the first year I have had to replace the clutch, the axel, the differential, both control arms and other consistent small problems. I have poured nearly 10K into this almost $25K vehicle in one year and every time I get it back from the mechanic some new issue arises. Buyer BEWARE! They do not stand behind their product, they do not do thorough inspections before selling, and they misrepresent their extended warranty coverage. Such a disappointment...

What a great experience. I started looking about 2 weeks ago and since I live in Rocklin, I went over to Roseville because it was closest. I literally walked around for 20 min, opening doors, sitting in cars, opening the trunk and nobody said a word to me. Even went into the showroom and nobody said anything. I left and went down to Sac, even though they didnt have the color I wanted I still talked to a guy down there and he told me they had one on the way and it should be there Friday. Since it was Tuesday, that was fine with me. I followed up on Friday, and Saturday, still no car. Talked to him again on Sunday and Monday, still no car. Looking for the next closest dealer, I find Gold Rush, and I am so glad that I did. They just happened to have the color I wanted so I called up there to talk to someone in sales and I get Bill. I have bought a lot of vehicles in my life and this was one of the best transactions ever. Everyone in the office that we interacted with (Jay, and Jim) were great.Edit to further prove the point its a great dealership.My daughters friend was here from ID in her Outback and thought she was having some transmission issues. She was calling around to shops on Thursday and managed to get it in someplace. They came back with its bogging but they didnt have time to fix it. As they picking up the car she decided to call a dealer and see if she can get it in. They told me when they got back late Friday that they got an appointment in Auburn for Saturday. I didnt even know the service center was open on Saturday but ok. So she take it up there, they put it through the paces and checked it all out. They were not able to recreate the problem, but they spent several hours trying to find an issue. She went back to pick it up and they didnt even charge her for the time. They are always so attentive and helpful. The service department, while competent and professional, recommended various services for my vehicle which my normal mechanics said were not yet necessary when I thankfully got a second opinion from them first. I do understand that there are probably procedures in place that trigger Gold Rush Subaru to inspect the vehicle and recommend certain maintenance, but these recommendations could cost someone many hundreds of dollars if they did not know better than to get a second opinion from an outfit with more reasonable standards. It would be great if they presented any inspection results in a more informational way instead of recommending or suggesting potentially expensive service prematurely.

Be very very careful before you buy a Subaru. As difficult as it is for me write this I’m compelled to share my recent experience with Subaru. My mother was a life ling subaru owner, she passed her car down to me and that’s what I drove through high school. So no shock, when it came time for my wife and I buy her a new car we went to what was familiar. We wanted reliability and safety so we went to Subaru and bought a new car in 2015.Unfortunately, my high school experience with Subaru has no correlation to today. The car has 82k miles on, we stared having issues with it at about 80k and at the time of writing this the motor is blown, or so they think. We brought the car in for the same code 3 times. In the second time they replaced a part and it was fine for about a month and then all the same issues reappeared so we took it in for the third time. The service representative said it could be the part they fixed causing the issue or a lack of maintenance. Knowing the oil changed we done I felt confident the issue was the part however; they couldn’t tell me for sure what the problem was until the pulled the motor and that would cost 3k, which doesn’t include any parts and even if it was determined to be a bad part that It still isn’t guaranteed that Subaru would cover the cost of repairs. So, based off their recommendation I called Subaru for guidance. I was told that nothing will be done without me agreeing to pay 3k for the motor pull and the cost could reach up to 10k. To be fair the woman I spoke to at Subaru was polite and prompt, I believe the failure occurred at the dealer level. The information I received from the service representative was “apparently” inaccurate, I actually believe him, I think he was honest and was overridden by his supervisor but, I’m speculating. Our service representative said it could be the repair and part they replaced and his boss said the opposite-case closed.We did our services on time; now again, in complete transparency, there was a few times 3k turned into 5 but that was maybe 3 times in 82k miles. That doesn’t sound like “abuse” to me.So our car with 82k miles on it is gone and there was nothing but miscommunication and dead ends on the part of Subaru. Be careful when buying from Subaru, there are plenty of other car dealers out there, don’t get hung up on the Subaru experiences of yesteryear, they’re not the same company as they were back then.

The negotiations were simple and straight forward via email and we had great customer service when we picked up the vehicle (had to purchase in CA because NV dealers are not required to sell ZEVs or PHEVs). My back hatch stuck.. supposedly there was corrosion and warranty wouldnt cover.. I love my Subaru, but what makes me love it even more is the awesome service I have received form the service department. My service manager, Chris, is super friendly, willing to explain things in ways I can interpret, and doesnt let me leave without feeling like everything is taken care of and in tip top shape, even if it means getting a few technicians to troubleshoot funny glitches. The whole service department from receptionists, to the service managers, to the technicians... all pleasant, patient, and helpful. I wouldnt go anywhere else.

This car sells itself, but the fact that I have had a total of three Subarus, and my dad had one 20 years ago, he knew this is the car for him! At first, me and my mother were surprised because we were not able to talk down on the price of the Crosstrek I purchased at Auburn Subaru, but Jessica kindly explained that even after talking down prices at other dealerships we could not get as good a deal as Auburn Subaru offers. I usually would not write a review but really these guys deserve it. Troy and his team are amazing. We went to buy a car with two possible options, either get the Honda Pilot or the Ascent. We started by going to Subaru and from the get go, Troy and his team gave us a great deal (not even 30 minutes since we arrived to the dealer including the time we spent doing the test drive) . We then went to Honda to see what deals they had and it took us 3 hours to get their best price. Not only that, but they downgraded the Trim so it could fit our offer... and still they couldnt give us a better deal than Subaru for a much better car.So, we went back to Subaru and Troy and his team sold us our amazing car. If we would have stick with Subaru (Troy, Alan and all the subaru team), we wouldnt have wasted 4 hours of our day. They really work with you to try to give you the best possible deal. Thanks guys!

Friendly Staff. Helpful people.I dropped off my car in May to get a Check Engine Light diagnosed. Long story short, i pick it up almost 2 months later still not fixed because of some reasons on my part. Anyways, They ask that you return the loaner car with the same amount of fuel in it as when you picked it up. Well thats fine and understandable, but i wanted to be the best customer, had it washed and inside detailed, since i received it absolutely disgusting and an awful stench coming from inside. I also topped off the tank absolutely full.Just so that i can get back into my car with the gas light on and no signs of them taking care of my property, they dug through my glove box to find warranty paperwork (WITHOUT PERMISSION) Just to find no paperwork in there, and just casually threw everything back inside the glovebox leaving napkins on the floor, and an extra shift knob i had in a bag- pulled out of the bag, and thrown into the glovebox.Disrespectful, care free people.I dropped off my car with almost a full tank and received it empty, paid 40$ PLUS 80$ to fill the tank, just to get back into my still inoperable car and had to put another $80 in fuel into that car to get home and park it.$120 i paid that day, and not one ounce or gram of effort from Subaru to ensure that i would be back for service, because i wont.

I wasnt pressured, I didnt have someone come up to my car immediately after pulling into their lot, and when I found the car I wanted, they beat the quote I got from another dealer. I emailed several Subaru dealers beforehand, telling them that I didnt want a hassle, didnt want to mess around, just offer me a fair price on the exact car Im asking about. Only Gold Rush Subaru responded promptly with a very fair quote and no pressure or bs.When I got there, the sales manager said they had another car in stock that I might be interested in. Great experience for my daughter and our family for another Gold Rush Subaru. Initially Alex was helping us with finding the car and scheduled an appointment for test drive. Alex was busy and Jessica was the person who ended up helping my daughter buy her first car. Jessica spoke directly to my daughter—which was respectful and supported the decision she was going to make. Jessica was very patient! People, if you’re looking to buying a Subaru, DON’T go anywhere else! Just visit this dealership! I wish I went here before visiting any of the other local dealerships. Would have saved me so much time and headaches, in general. I heard about GR Subaru from a family friend we know who’d bought their car from them, and so we went there even though they didn’t have the Crosstrek color I wanted at their lot. They were so nice and friendly, and just HELPFUL, overall, that was I was willing to order the car from the factory and wait for it, just so I would not have to go anywhere else. I didn’t need to do that, because they were able to source the car from another dealership - the last time I went car shopping was 20 years ago, so I didn’t know this could be done nowadays.😄 But even if that hadn’t happened I still would have ordered the car from GR Subaru.Sales manager Bill McCoy and finance manager Gerry Jundt were incredibly helpful, and Bill in particular gave us really great, unbiased advice on different car models, and was super patient while we took forever debating about small details about the cars. But thanks to them, we were able to get the perfect car at a great price too. The whole experience was nothing but great! I hope this dealership is still around next time we go car shopping (I think a lot sooner than in 20 years since my 3rd grader wants the car when he’s old enough to drive!😄).
