I went here on the recommendation of my doctor for my hearing aids. They are fantastic! They program, repair, and adjust them. They arent like ear buds where you open them, connect through Bluetooth and go. I have had mine over a year now and cant live without them now.

I took my 93 year old dad to Gold Country Hearing because his hearing aids had failed and he had just moved to the area so we didnt know where to go. I was lucky to find Gold Country and I walked in on a Friday about 4:30 PM without an appointment and Meta went out of her way to get me what I needed (some wax filters). I went back a few days later to get a faulty receiver replaced on a ReSound HA and they took care of that too. We had a full hearing test and HA calibration completed today, and my dads HAs are now working better than ever. He is thrilled! The audiologist, the staff, and everyone at Gold Country has a super great attitude, they are super to work with, very reasonably priced, and blew my dads old HA audiologist from the Bay Area right out of the water. I highly recommend Gold Country Hearing.

I love Gold Country Hearing. They are caring and competent and worked with me until I got the best results with my hearing aids.I am currently serving a 23-month mission for my church in Scotland, a very damp and rainy climate. GCH made a product available to me that dries out my aids overnight. I call them my hear-rings (like earrings) and they make such a difference! I highly recommend Gold Country Hearing.

I had a great experience! No joke. My friend and I both had back-to-back appointments, so we shared the experience with these 2 fine, young doctors. We were delighted! What a great service for we hard-of-hearing. After a long illness I recovered enough to regularly wear my hearing aids again. Then one of the hearing aids went out. They ordered the part and I was completely back in service in a matter of just a couple of days. Their walk-in repair service is especially helpful. But, after being seriously ill for months and ten cycles of treatments, it became clear that I needed a hearing check up. Great service and equipment. And, then it came time for re-setting my hearing aids to top efficiency. Gold Country has the most high quality, high tech equipment to get the most out of my hearing aids. And, if your hearing aids are in need of replacement, they have the newest and best to offer. Fortunately, they were able to update mine and I now hear better than I did before I fell ill. Even though my wife does not need hearing aids, she and I both recommend Gold Country Hearing & Balance to everyone who inquires of us. They are the best.

From my first contact with their new office in El Dorado Hills, I have been treated with the utmost respect. Constant follow up and continued efforts to find the right combination of aids and settings to fulfill my hopes for better hearing. Gold Country had warned me that my warranty was about to expire. I was able to make an appointment the next day and they temporarily replaced my aids and sent them to the manufacturer for repair. Quick and efficient.

I have been going to Gold Country Hearing since I was 6 years old and cannot say enough good things about GCH. This week I just received a new pairs of hearing aids unexpectedly and needed some special attention as I was heading back to college and needed them pretty quick. Marta was a rockstar and went above and beyond to make it happen and right when I thought my last semester in college was going to be a struggle to hear, she and the team at GCH saved the day. I cannot thank Marta and the team here enough, they are reliable, trustworthy and have your best interest at heart.

Dont be late for your appointment because they wont see you! Both of my prior visits I had to wait 20+ min after my appointment time to be seen, so when my daughter called while I was in their parking lot I took the call thinking I would be waiting inside anyway . When I went inside 15 min late I was told I could not be seen. Yes, that is on me but since I had to drive 25 min to get there and I waited for them both times before I was really upset! So this is just a warning for you to be on time. So they get 2 stars for ticking me off. Otherwise they are a fine company. As long as you are not late!

My 94 year-old mother-in-law is a long-time and extremely satisfied customer of Gold Country Hearing. My wife, who takes her to all of her appointments likewise is a major fan, so when she recommended I go there for a hearing test, I took her advice.Tracy gave me a comprehensive hearing exam that showed my hearing is close to needing assistance. She set me up with devices to do a trial. The devices were great but I decided to not go with hearing aids yet as the benefits were not substantial enough at this time.Recognizing the value of both Tracy’s and Seil’s time and the quality of their service, I wanted to pay for the test. They were adamantly opposed to that and simply chalked it up to the cost of doing business.You can be certain that when the time does come for me to finally use devices, I will be seeking their services. Unbelievably outstanding customer service and empathy; a real rarity in today’s world. I love doing business with people like this.

My family went to Dr. Tracy Volkman for auditory processing evaluations. Dr. Volkman was wonderful with my kids, knowledgable, professional, and trustworthy. She took a lot of time to get to know us and understand my kids’ needs, and she made individualized treatment recommendations. I have been wearing hearing aids for the past 13 years, but got my last pair from Gold Country Hearing and Balance in Rocklin. Dr. Tracy Volkman is like a concierge doctor. Always available, always up to date on my hearing aids, and always most pleasant. Gold Country Hearing is the place to go if you want professional hearing services. They dont just sell you an aid and then say goodbye. The process for hearing aid selection and setup is highly personalized with the latest equipment being used as part of that process. This was a 6 month follow-up visit to make sure my hearing aids were working properly and my hearing had not gotten worse. Good news on both counts. The aids are rechargeable I was told I was already using some of the tricks to get the best use from them. The folks at Gold Country Hearing are always pleasant and knowledgeable.

My meeting with Dr. Volkman and Kimmy (intern) of Gold Country Hearing was great. I had questions regarding upcoming changes in 2023 with Medicare supplemental coverage. Dr. Volkman called them while I was there to confirm the changes. I also tested two different brands of hearing aids in order to determine which brand was a better fit for my needs, so I can make an informed decision. All my questions were answered clearly and I walked out of the office with all of the information, and then some, that I was hoping to receive. These are truly nice people that care.

I checked different hearing aid providers before choosing Gold Country Hearing (GCH). I think GCH is the only local provider where all health care staff are actually Doctors of Audiology. I met with Dr. Tracy Volkman today and have been going to Gold Country Hearing for more than one-year now. Every single visit is amazing. Ive been experiencing rapid hearing loss in my right ear, which is due to heredity. She did a hearing test today which reveals more loss. She graciously spent quality time checking and updating my hearing aids. And the test and spent time to discuss options. Appointments are not rushed, she is genuinely interested in helping people! This is a rare trait these days, I feel. I especially enjoy speaking with Ceil in the office, as well. It is always a very pleasurable experience & I would highly recommend them. WOW! I originally emailed to the website to see if my mom could stop by to have someone check her hearing aid. She is in hospice so she does not get out often. The CEO emailed me back and told me to bring her by that day. They found a broken wire and fixed it immediately and we got her home very quickly. Her quality of life is much improved for now. I cannot tell you how impressed I am with everyone I have met at the Rocklin office. Awesome!

My experience with Gold Country Hearing at their Rocklin location was excellent. Dr. Tracy was amazing and her knowledge was top notch! She explained everything thoroughly as we went through the process. After the hearing test, we went into her office and I was able to try on hearing aids that best fix my situation. She spend a considerable amount of time with my and I felt so comfortable. When I went back to pickup my hearing, Dr. Tracy went through everything with me about my new hearing aids. Again, her thoroughness was amazing. I love my new hearing aids. I really didnt realize how much I wasnt hearing. Cil, the receptionist was so sweet and helpful. If I could give more stars I would. I cant say how grateful I am with Gold Country Hearing. My mother of 91 years of age went to buy her hearing aids from a hearing place local to our home. She paid $4000 up front and the owner never provided her the hearing aids. I received a message from Gold Country Hearing after I left a unfavorable review on their competitors website. Erik Bonney, business manager at Gold Country Hearing reached out to me and expressed his disappointment in my mothers experience and he offered to make things right by providing my mom her hearing aids free of charge! Believe me, you will not find a better audiologist in this area! I have had a genetic hearing loss since the age of 8, and I have worked with several different audiologists. Tracy is awesome! She is extremely patient and kind and truly wants to help and make sure that you are getting the best assistance you need for your hearing loss. She will work with you as long as you need to make sure you are comfortable and that you can hear the best you can. What I also appreciate about her is that she never tries to sell you on anything but is willing to work with you. I already had an older pair of hearing aids when I first came to this center, and instead of trying to sell me or convince me I needed new ones, she was willing to work with what I had to help me hear the best I could, which was MUCH cheaper than buying a new pair of hearing aids. If you are looking for some help with your hearing loss, I strongly recommend this place! You wont regret it!

I had a consult for a new hearing device. The audiologist, Tracy Volkman was very warm and professional. She did a complete audiology exam and then made it clear that the goal was to find the best, most comfortable and efficient device to help me hear clearly. She presented several options and let me try them on. One brand did feel and sound more natural to me. There was no hard sell to make a commitment to purchase in the moment, and she does not have a preference for one device over another so there was no upsell. She truly expressed her commitment to helping me find the best solution for my needs and budget. Gold Country Hearing has a few attractive payment options as well. I previously went to another Hearing aid company and was very disappointed. His form of testing is repeat what I say and Ill count your correct answers. My husband and I went to Gold Country and were pleasantly surprised, She is an audiologist and used all the modern machines to test our hearing. My husband refuses to wear his ear pieces all the time. I use that to my advantage. Because he cant hear me I have many dinners out. I was recently seen by Dr. Volkman for hearing aids. She was kind, patient, professional, and knowledgeable. Having never had aids before, this was a huge learning experience physically and emotionally. Dr. Volkman understood my concerns and addressed every question thoughtfully. There are a lot of audiologist’s in our area, and I chose Gold Country Hearing after a lot of research. Specifically, I dealt with Dr. Tracy Volkman.I’m enthusiastic about this firm. They spent a lot of time determining exactly what I needed, and they really extended themselves to be sure I was absolutely satisfied with the hearing aids I ended up having. The level of concern and customer service was beyond anything I expected. This is a rare company, and it certainly deserves your consideration.There are good reasons to use an audiologist.I’ve bought two sets of hearing aids. The first was a set of Phonaks from Costco, the last was a set of Phonaks from Gold Country.“You get what you pay for” applies here. You pay more when you go to an audiologist, and you get more in return.With an audiologist, you get more personalized service from a more experienced hearing professional using more sophisticated examination equipment for a longer length of time. If you buy from Costco, you’ll save money but the service deteriorates if you don’t remain a Costco member.I can only guess about the hearing aid itself. I do know that large chains like Walmart can have items custom made for them that they sell for less than a competitor does. The same brand and model of coffee maker, for example, will sell for less than it does elsewhere because it has different quality components.I don’t know if this applies to Costco hearing aids, but I’m more confident about the product when I buy from an audiologist.

We have been clients of Tracy Volkman for several years. My husband has profound hearing loss. She has done an excellent job testing his hearing and fine tuning his aids so that he can be functional at work and enjoy life. Most hearing aid sellers are now hiring device technicians which may be ok for folks looking for a little more volume, but are insufficient for someone who struggles with speech recognition or hearing when there is background noise. (Note: other places dont test for these, but Gold Country does!) Tracy is audiologist and brings much more to the table in terms of skill and understanding. Also, the price we were quoted at Gold Country was about 20% less than their competitors.

I have to say this is by far the BEST experience ive had in all of my life!! Especially with my Hearing loss, i have been to Mc Donalds, bought 2 sets of Aids from them,only to be treated like i was a pain in the rear,all that after spending over $16k in 6 &1/2 years.Than i had an appt with Whisper only to be called the next day to be told they wouldnt make any ear molds for my used aids because i hadnt purchased them from Whisper.After going to appt and explaining my situation needing a repair and some molds made for some used aids i had and perhaps purchasing a new set from them,after the call from them informing me that they couldnt help me, i was again upset and frustrated and left with no help as my aids were broken.Than my sister finds Gold Country Hearing in Rocklin on a website and makes a call, gets me an appt .So i go, Wow let me tell you what Customer service is the Receptionist Ceil was awesome informed me of what she thought they could do and set me with another appt (perhaps they could repair my old ones and also give me a hearing test and make some adjustments) i was relieved someone actually listened to my needs and wants and was willing to have me come in for further information and to speak to Dr.Volkman (Tracey).Again i was greeted with a happy face and a smile from Ceil receptionist and i was late!! I couldnt believe it.I was expecting a snarl (everybody knows what i mean) when being late to the Dr. how your treated.So out comes Dr.Volkman and she is smiling im thinking to myself everybody is smiling, like they are happy to see you (nice) . So Tracey (Dr.Volkman) listens to my issues and my wants and needs and makes a few suggestions, she really cared about my past experiences from the other Hearing places, she made me comfortable and was quite knowledgeable with the used aids i had and was able to solve several of my problems and get a few of my aids back to working order just with her knowledge,and didnt even charge me!!.Now im going back for a hearing test so she can make some adjustments to my old aids and to make a couple of molds, This lady really knows her job and equipment she sells!!! Ive never been excited about a drs appt. But i am now and perhaps ordering a new set of aids at a fraction of what i paid before, and with a 3 year warranty and Customer service thats unheard of in this day and age.Trust me if you need anything in the Hearing aid dept. these 2 Ladies ROCK!!I looked up Customer service in the dictionary and there it was with a picture of these 2 wonderful caring People at Gold Country hearing in Rocklin Ca.

Sutter recommended Dr. Volkman. I went to see her with my test results. We discussed my options. I chose the in the ear hearing aids.I called United Health Care and am waiting anxiously waiting to hear from them and pay and get the aidsMy appointment with Dr. was 11/06, it is now 11/14. I needed ear insets for my aviation headset. Admittedly, not inexpensive (but what in aviation is?), but 100% worth the investment. GCHB stood up when a third-party vendor failed, worked around my schedule, and my ear inserts are remarkable attenuating extraneous noise in my airplane. This is a 1st class operation.

My experience with Dr Volkman and her assistant, Cecile, has been marked by competence, professionalism and courtesy. I am using the Phonac Virto B-Titanium hearing aid and have only a free hearing aid from the Veterans Hospital to compare it with. The expense of Phonak technology has been worthwhile in spite of the financial challenge to my retirement income.
