I have been coming here for years. Today is my last visit. The young lady that started cleaning my teeth was not the dental hygienist and she cut into my gums throughout my entire mouth. She thought I was sensitive and I told her I dont have sensitive teeth but she was pinching into my gums. I didnt see how bad it was till I pulled out my phone to check my gums which I never had to do before. The young lady also would use the suction tool for the saliva build-up and leave the cleaning tool in my mouth at the same time; she must not know that the tool is poking my tongue/ inside of my mouth. The actual hygienist came in and finished up and Im surprised she didnt say anything about how cut-up my gums were.

So they scammed me out of an extra thousand dollars, I was told in office that the price/loan for my treatment would be 2, 000$ Turns out i have been paying only one of two loans that they signed me up for.I called the office to see if it was a mistake and they said that it what i had agreed to. which is false, because the receptionist had me do the loan paper work for the original 2k loan. and a week later she called and said that the paperwork hadnt gone through due to technical issues.Asked me to come in to redo the paper work. In short, i was lied to and ended up signing up0 for another separate loan.Do not go here, they will scam you. Do not trust the receptionists, they are con artists in scrubs.

Today, Daniel helped me out over the phone with a few inquires I had. I was skeptical at first to call Gold Coast Dental but she made it a breeze. She went above and beyond with all the information that I needed and I will definitely be scheduling an appointment with them very soon. Ty!

I had the worse experience here. The older lady that works at the front desk is very rude and does not make you feel welcomed at all. Her lack of social skills and cheerfulness is very disappointing and alarming. She really needs to go to an etiquette school or just quit her job and work as a trash truck driver. Also, one of the main dentist is very rude and yelled at me about my teeth. He must not have a wife because he definitely does not know how to treat girls and help someone through a stressful situation. He is NOT NICE AT ALL. His name is way too hard to pronounce it has almost all the alphabet letters so if you ever see him ask for a different dentist. Anyways the office feels very dirty and they did not do a good job cleaning my mouth and literally chipped my tooth and acted like it was no big deal and didn’t even fix it. After going here I now have major trauma and anxiety from the dentist and I am now scared to go to the dentist. I never used to be like this until I came here. I honestly may need therapy because of how badly I was treated. I hope this office closes so nobody has to deal with these people.

Awful atmosphere, very disorganized, and the rudest dental team Ive ever had. Wouldnt give pricing until the morning of, asked for an insane amount, kept asking the same questions, pressed me into an anxiety attack so bad I left (never happened before with any dental team), and mocked me on my way out.

Very nice office staff.The dentist was very professional and I really felt like he cared about me and not trying to selling me on a full set of implants.I have horrible teeth the doctor was very honest about what could be done.I just took my wife today for a broken tooth and he got to work on it right away.A crown for 600 buck my last one cost me over 1400 at a different dentist

My son had sort of a dental emergency, and it was the Thanksgiving holiday/weekend, they were open! I didn’t want to wait till the following Monday, so I took him there. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. Consultation was 100% free, I was surprised and grateful. They also gave us a free toy before we left. What a wonderful experiment. We will come back for future dental visits.

I visited the Brea location and after my visit I realized I was overcharged $328.00 dollars. Not a huge deal so I contacted the office and was told it will take 5 to 7 business days. It has been over three weeks and I currently have not received my reimbursement and feel ignored by the staff.

I came in 10 minutes early to check into my appoitment only to wait 50 minutes to be seen. Then im called by name to sit in a chair where i am left alone for another 15 minutes. I just got up and left due to the irresponsibility of the staff here. Do not schedule yourself here if you value your time!

Awesome staff and great service.. was in town for a Wrestling tournament on a Saturday. I had a tooth that I knew needed a root canal, I had an appointment for early January with my dentist and was hoping to make it to the appointment. But the pain was to much and I search for an open dentist office on a Saturday and gratefully came across this great office and they took care of me right away.

The lack of professionalism at this dental office is second to none. Customer service is nonexistent. Moreover, their rates may seem to be reasonable at first but they make up for us by over-diagnosing and over-treating. They quoted me over $8000 for treatments they said I so urgently needed. After the horrible experience we had at the office, I went to another dentist who quoted me $1400 for the treatments I need and explained that the other treatments this office recommended were absolutely unnecessary.As an attorney who has worked on many malpractice cases, I can tell you Dr’s that do not care about patient’s experience are generally those that commit malpractice. I highly recommend you look elsewhere for your dental work. Here is a short version of the horrible experience we had with this office along with the photo of the disgraceful receptionist/office manage we had the displeasure of dealing with.My husband and I had an appointment at this office. Five minutes prior to our appointment someone by the name of Adam called us to say they had to push our appointment to 4 hours later. No apologies. We explained that that we drove an hour to get make it to this appointment on time. He said you can come and wait here for 5 hours then. Again, no apologies. We went to the office and tried to explain to this person that we getting on a flight that night and that my husband just needed a quick fix with his loose crown. He shrugged his shoulders and said you you can wait 4 hours. When we confronted him about his disrespectful demeanor and lack of professionalism he asked us to leave and threatened to call the police. We decided to call the manager of the facilities, want able to talk to anyone but was promised that a manager would call us to resolve this problem. After two weeks my husband received a call and was offered a deep cleaning to make it up to us (cleaning is free with our insurance. I never received a call.

Dr Furuichi couldve been the life saver. He couldve saved my tooth but instead decided to be passive he preformed root canal on my tooth that he said was healthy. His excuse? Im not his patient hed have to see me regularly... Im sorry but thats not a good answer coming from a professional.... gold coast has lost its way....

This place used to be great quick in and out. Now make you wait an hour or more past your appointment last two visits for a simple cleaning always end up in an additional bill outside insurance which is strange when insurance clearly covers 2 cleanings a year. This time they did the cleaning but started with a polish then used the pick. Im no dentist but Ive never polished anything until after it has been cleaned missed teeth then told me they did a special gum cleaning and it was an addition 50 dollars above the 190 that my insurance covers for cleaning. Dont go! I wont go back again.

1 star is being generous.. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! Under any circumstance, go anywhere else!! I came in complaining about tooth pain twice within a week, pain that was out of the norm and keeping me up for days. When i was seen, I was faced with a condescending tone and was completely being dismissed, despite the pain I was informing the dentist about. I was sent home by an annoyed dentist telling me that I just grind my teeth. I knew something was wrong as I couldnt function with the pain I was in, so I went to an emergency dentist the next morning and they were in disbelief that such an obvious infection and nerve damage could be missed, TWICE!! Dr. Furuichis complete and utter negligence lead me to an infection that spread into my jaw. Ive already filed a complaint against Dr. Furuichi with the board of dentistry and urge everyone to find a dentist that takes people seriously and doesnt navigate with such negligence. DANGER!!!!!!!!!

I’ve been coming here for 5+ years, and unfortunately the service has continually declined in the last 1.5 years or so.The last two visits I had they mentioned about having to get teeth removed. Which I understand, however how does it go from a recommendation to a necessity in 6 months time? Also the pricing seems shady as well. There’s no way it can drop to a third of the price for the same service.The last visit, which I just had. The X-rays went smoothly, and it was a very nice lady who did those. However when it was time for the cleaning itself, the male dental assistant was leaning on my face, and using the side of my head as an arm rest, which was absolutely disgusting.Then, he was pushing the little mirror very hard into my gums, and made it very painful to sit still. Meanwhile the female assistant was pinching lips with the water vacuum. Overall, the worst experience I’ve had. The main doctor didn’t take a look at my teeth either, at the end of the appointment, which has always happened.I will NOT be going back, and do not recommend this dentist to anyone.

Medical Staff is great, but payment managers are shady.I went in for a check up and cleaning at the Brea and Buena Park location. Although the staff is fairly friendly, their payment practices are not.When you sign the bill acknowledging the payment, they tell you that everything will be covered by insurance. This was not the case. My insurance did not cover certain procedures and I was charged a lump sum. They did not let me know until 30 days after my visit.This is shady practice because if I did not pay this off ASAP, it could have showed up on my record as a delinquent charge AND they verbally confirmed that insurance would pay for everything and the only thing I would have to pay is for fluoride (which I paid upfront before I left the office).Over the phone the payment manager claimed she can lower my payment cost by 60%, but when I went in person, she said the best she could do is lower it by 35%.I want to give this place more stars since the medical staff is nice, but the payment managers are just shady. Keep this in mind as you go visit. Theres a reason why they dont have many patients.

The dentist I was seeing was a good guy, but hes not there after Covid. I kept going because of the convenience of it being close to home.Its gone downhill since Covid. They started to constantly try to up-sell services and medications. I get my teeth cleaned 3-4 times a year religiously. The hygienists would compliment my teeth and then tell me I need fluoride treatments at $80 a quadrant. This never happened here before a couple years ago.Even if they dont give you the service they may try to bill you for it. I never got the fluoride treatments yet I got a bill on the mail for it. Called them, they said they remove the charge. I got three more letters and had call three other times. They still cant clear a bill for services they never rendered.Constant up-sales, scam billing, and stupid confirmation phone calls at 7AM on Saturday - Im done with these jerks.We live in SoCal, dentists are a dime a dozen - find one thats not here.

Very professional with emphasis on patient comfort. We were very impressed by the modern equipment and technology as well as the overall attitude of the staff. The Office Manager was awesome to work with as with. The doctor and his assistant was very gentle and kind, putting my comfort upper most in their mind. Everyone took the time to explain what was going. Even the Assistant explained what the plan was. Highly recommend this dental office to anyone in the area.

I went in for X-Rays and an exam, Doctor Furuichi said I needed a Root Canal or even a Crown on a front tooth of mine, I didn’t believe it so I declined and wanted a second opinion. After I declined the service, they suddenly realized the hygienist was “too busy” to do a cleaning for me. I then went to a DIFFERENT dentist and he said there was absolutely nothing wrong with my tooth, not even a cavity in sight. This place is a complete scam. Somehow the total was perfectly in line with how much my insurance would pay. Please please please find another dentist. Do not trust this place.

I have only been living in the area for a few years and right before the pandemic I went to a dentist who performed root canals and crowns. I had terrible pain for months and months with no help because everything was closed down. Fast forward when everything opened up, I found out the dentist sold the practice to another person who didnt help me at all to fix anything and basically ghosted me. I had never been nervous to go to a dentist in my life and now I was. I went to Gold Coast Dental and they were so awesome and helpful from day one. They even dealt with my nervousness and million questions. They had to redo a lot of work and ended up helping me out with the expenses because I would have paid out of pocket twice due to the other dental mess up. They worked with me and what could of ended up costing me an arm and a leg wasnt so bad. They also fixed all the mistakes from the other office! I am thankful that even though I am sure it would have been easier just to have me deal with it, they were kind and chose to not focus on their bottom line first but the care of me as a patient and my well being. Thank you to the Gold Coast front office staff and dentists who helped.

I had to get some dental work replaced, so I tried Gold Coast Dental out. I was not comfortable with the initial dentist that I saw, but then I switched to Dr. Furuichi, and Im so happy that I did. He listened to my concerns about treatment and provided detailed explanations. He advised about the ideal days for my appointments, provided patient, gentle dentistry, and has a sense of humor too. His assistant, Ruby, was wonderful. Over the course of several appointments, she took care of me and narrated everything she did during my visits, which makes things less scary. That matters, and I appreciate it so much. I was really relieved that everyone at the front desk - which can be hit or miss at some places - was friendly, welcoming, professional, and most importantly, did not pressure me about treatments. I never felt like a profit center. They have great hours as well. Im picky, and I would absolutely recommend this dental office.

This place is complete garbage and a scam. The front lady was rude. The workers there loudly gossip and talk and would not quiet themselves even after being shushed multiple times. The dentist did not even introduce himself and his name.They wanted to do 3 crowns on me and a deep cleaning (despite me already having a cleaning a month earlier from a different doctor) and had the audacity to shut me down when I tried to ask questions.I left, went to another dentist and was able to get a filling and partial crown. New place also said my teeth were actually really clean and fine. Never go to this place, they will drain you of your money and try to push unneeded aggressive treatments on you. Worst experience of my life.Edit: they also pushed a root scaling without even perio probing my gums.

I would not recommend going here. I will say the people I saw were nice, but their practice isnt great. Went due to some pretty bad tooth pain as they were one of the few places open on the weekend and was told after getting x-rays and a bite test that I had a fractured tooth, it couldnt be saved and had to be pulled and an implant needed to be put in even though nothing verifying that could be seen on the x-rays. Decided to hold off as that seemed super extreme and go to my normal dentist for a second opinion. Thank God I did, because after looking at my x-rays and doing several more tests my normal dentist found not only did I not need to have my tooth pulled, but the tooth wasnt fractured. As such, I would recommend going somewhere else if at all possible.

A truly horrible place to get dental work done. Im a healthy 24-year-old with great teeth, going in for a simple checkup. The doctor told me I had about 6 cavities and needed CROWNS. After informing me, they went straight to payment information and wanted to suck my wallet dry. He wanted to charge about $6,000, and assured me not to worry because I can apply for a nice little installment plan. I denied service and got a second opinion from another dentist, and absolutely zero things were mentioned about needing cavities filled or getting crowns. These guys are frauds and will make things up to get money out of you. Youre better off avoiding this place. If I could, I would give this place zero stars.

I give Gold Coast Dental a five stars! I was looking for a Dental office that would work with my schedule since I work full time. I was very pleased when I saw that this office stays open until 7 pm. I went in for a consultation and was very happy with how nice everyone was to me. I went in a second time for my crown and Dr. Etemadi did an excellent job. I was in no pain and he took great care of me. I have now made this my official dental office and I couldnt be more appreciative of the great work they do. I will be going in soon to have my wisdom teeth removed and I wouldnt trust any other office or staff to remove them. I highly recommend this office!:)

This office is terrible, we checked teeth, and they check what they want, spend $270, and said they couldn’t handle it, I need go another dentist. I go another dentist, only $30 do the same check, but get more detailed suggestions. And what happen next, I need the form from them, they send me form to signature, and said they would email me when they get signature. but I never get email. I called them more than 15 times try to get the form in 3 week, they always said Will email me. But I get nothing until I don’t need it anymore, so stupid people. Waste my money and time.

Not sure how this place can still legally be in business given that they call you in for a simple cleaning/procedure and give you a “quote” on said procedure, and then turn around and up charge you on things you didn’t come in for. They won’t take no for an answer despite EXPLICITLY letting them know you want to leave; while making me wait for 45 minutes in the dentist chair, they would periodically come in and ask if I would like the (unnecessary) UPCHARGE procedure, and then try to scare me with what might happen if I don’t go through with it. There were employees asking if I have been helped only for them to just apologize for the wait and move on and not do anything; as well as complain about being understaffed despite coming in on an appointment basis, giving them the benefit of being able to accommodate staff according to bookings. They had me wait 1 hour and finally cleaned my teeth within 7 minutes when the hygienist finally arrived.With my handful of visits here, they are always unprepared. They have had me wait an hour past my appointment time only for them to tell me the hygienist wasn’t coming in today (which is a reoccurring thing according to other reviews).When viewing the bill from my insurance there were clear indications of being overcharged for estimated quote for typical prices for procedures done.

I originally went in with tooth pain and the Dentist said it was just buildup so I paid for a cleaning. The pain didnt go away so I went back in a few days later. Thats when I got Dr Furuichi, he immediately figured out that I had a cracked tooth and failed root canal because of that tooth. I ended up getting two implants. Im now getting my crowns for those implants. Every member of the staff was and is always helpful. They do a great job making you feel comfortable and explaining every part of the process.

It was my first time at this dentist. I came for an emergency extraction. The staff was so kind to me, everyone spoke to me in a nice manner, and made me feel so much better. I became I new patient 2 weeks ago! My friend Jenny recommended Gold Coast Dental, she always mentioned how professional and nice they were . I decided to give them a chance since I had a bad toothache. From the first call to coming in the assistant and the Doctor made me feel comfortable and welcomed. I was a little nervous since I had bad experience in the past. I wasn’t as friendly as I’m typically because of how I was feeling.But not once did them ever made me feel any kind away they were extremely gentle specially the assistant Stephen took my x-rays really careful.Thank you again and I for sure will be recommending my friends and family.

I recently moved to the area and visited Gold Coast to get some impressions for new retainers to be made. The staff was extremely polite! Stephen, the dental assistant who took my impressions, was very informative and understanding. When I went to visit the office again the team remembered my name! Extremely unorganized, poor customer service and will try to pressure/upsell you into something you dont need. This is how you will be treated when you go to Gold Coast Dental. As a first time patient, I was appalled by one of the receptionist and the dental hygienist lack of communication skills and lack of knowledge as to what I actually needed. All I came in for was for was a standard exam and basic cleaning. After I was examined by the doctor, all was good and he confirmed that I just needed a standard cleaning.Twenty minutes later the dental hygienist comes in, looks at my teeth for 5 seconds and tells me I need a deep cleaning. When I asked why the doctor didnt recommend it, she made it clear that she knew better than the ACTUAL doctor and was agitated when I asked her more questions. Obviously this deep cleaning cost more money and a lot of insurances dont fully cover it so Im sure this is why she suggested it and probably profits from it.Fifteen minutes later the scattered receptionist comes in and tells me they need to reschedule my appointment because the hygienists hands feel like they are going to fall off and that I should have a little more compassion. After trying to ask her a few more basic questions her responses were to belittle me. It was at this point I was ready to walk out and NEVER come back.The only good person they had working there came out right as I was leaving and told the receptionist that the doctor recommended that I didnt need the deep cleaning and that he could do my standard cleaning right away.Long story short I got my teeth cleaned by two of the only good people working here but honestly I will never be coming back. Gold Coast Dental I would give you zero stars if I could. Do better.

The staff were accommodating, so friendly, cheerful, professional, sustained quality service and gave great communication. The dentist is terrifying for me from history. They made me feel safe, comfortable and satisfied with my first visit to their office. We all connected and shared laughter and tears about life and inspirations about life! Everyone in the office is very friendly. I am a new patient, showed up for my appointment and was immediately brought back to get started. They have long hours and are even open on Sunday, which makes it convenient for anyone to get in. I had a deep root cleaning done to half of my mouth and for the next 2 days I had zero pain or discomfort. This is my first visit to this office, but I will highly recommend them to everyone.

I received a root canal here($1,000) by way of a specialist who visits here. I have to say he was good, he got the job done and took the time to explain and break everything down. afterwards I made another appointment so the house dentist can examine the next course of action. When I went back the manager just scrambled around and hit me with a bill and said that I needed a crown ($850nothing else included) because I didnt even get to see the dentist or ask any questions. I said I would rather go elsewhere, she walked away without saying a word to me. Offered no discount or at least allow me to see the dentist? They just want your $$My gripe with this office is the front. They treat you like a number, They never seem ready, they dont follow up or give reminders for appts. They dont explain what your paying for or whats included but when you get there they have a big bill for you?I dont really like being treated this way. I also thought the prices were steep compared to other offices I visited. Made me feel like I was being ripped off.I have visited another office in this group and my experience was even worse there. I dont recommend Gold Coast Dental.

I had thee worst experience at another dental office and I came here scared at what needed to be started. I was greeted by staff and introduced to a dental Assistant Stephen who literally assisted me from beginning to end. I explained my anxiety and fears to Stephen and he took the time and was very thorough in explaining what to expect next even advocating to the doctor for me. My visit was so great. My mother walked in with a $600 problem and came out with a $3000 problem.My mother put her trust into this dental facility to perform a simple tooth extraction. The dentist made his first mistake by removing the WRONG tooth. When he went to extract the correct tooth, the tooth broke and went up into my mothers jaw. Instead of stopping to take an X-ray to determine if an oral surgeon was needed (which is what is normally done), the dentist proceeded to poke and prod the tooth until it was shoved up next to her sinuses. Following that, he left her with multiple gaping holes with no stitches and they sent her off with no after care instructions.She followed up with a different dentist and an oral surgeon and both professionals agreed that the Gold Coast dentist completely went against standard practice. The worst part is, the tooth was pushed so far up that it cannot be reached without an expensive surgery.All my mother wanted from Gold Coast was her $600 back. They extracted the wrong tooth, failed to extract the correct tooth, and created an even bigger problem by not following standard protocol. However, after dodging her calls for a week, they informed her that the regional manager refused the refund and could not help her further.Enraged on behalf of my mother, I had to talk to the office manager myself. I could not believe that a business could operate this way in good conscious. After calling three times in one day, I finally got ahold of the office manager, Adam. I proceeded to have one of the most dismissive and condescending conversations I have ever had. This man had no compassion or empathy for what my mother went through. His only explanation was that the regional manager said no and there was nothing more to be done. When I pleaded with him to talk with the regional manager one more time, he told me Weve already talked to your mother I dont know how many times about this, its done as if this was a terrible inconvenience for him. I could practically hear his eyes roll.He didnt seem worried when I warned him about the negative Yelp review I would be leaving, and I see its because this office already has so many, along with a flag for potentially inflating their reviews. I cant believe this place still gets any business. For your own saftey and peace of mind, please go elsewhere.Ill leave this on one final, terribly inappropriate, note: when my mom was in the chair, they were playing a movie with graphic nudity, so theres that.

The reason for my 3 star is because I recently had 6 teeth extracted here and felt that I was just another customer who pasess thru the office. My first time there was ok. But after my extractions no body explained anything to me. I was sent home with a long, old, over copied list of short dos and donts but never got them explained in any detail. Then I went for my one week follow up and the looked in my mouth for 5 seconds and said I was healing. And then sent me home, again, with no instructions. When can I eat, can I brush, do I still use my oral rinse, what can I eat, when will the stitches come out? I had all those questions and no one wanted to answer them. And I had lots of questions about the next steps of the process too but no one explained anything. I need 3-5 implants done in the coming few months. Ill be doing my research as weather or not I come back here or go elsewhere. Sorry people, but thats what poor customer service gets you.

I just had wisdom teeth removal done by Dr. Stephen Paul, and I was very pleased with every aspect of my appointment. The front office staff, assistants, and Dr. Paul were so friendly, helpful, and patient with me during my appointment. They explained thoroughly what to expect from the moment I walked in the door to the who I left, and even gave very specific after care instructions. I immediately felt comfortable and in good hands. Even though my surgery was a little more challenging than most wisdom teeth removals, Dr. Stephen listened to every concern I had and addressed them with science, understanding, and explainable answers. Many Drs try to explain things to you using very specific Dr language, and I was so glad that the staff at Brea Dental Care were able to explain things on a level that I could easily understand. Problems with billing scheduling and they have two files on me in the system that are contradictory. Yesterday was told I need a deep clean for $460. When I said not today they said well we can discount it to $360. That was a red flag since they should have told me from the beginning it would be $360. It feels more like being at a used car dealership as opposed to a dental office. They then try to have me sign a waiver saying I refused treatment for disease that I do not have. My wife and I have both had crowns put in, and each of them fell out shortly after we got home. It seems that if you schedule an appointment close to closing hours the work is always subpar. One time I went they forgot to put topical novocaine before they injected Novocaine which hurt to say the least. The dentist told me whoever got me set up was supposed to apply the Novocaine. All in all I like the dentist that I usually see who is not there yesterday. I would steer clear of this office unless you like being upsold on procedures that arent necessary. I do have to take some of the blame that it took me three years to finally realize how much B.S. is going on there.

When I moved from LA to Orange County I was sad to say goodbye to my dentist of 25 years. I thought they’ll never be one as good ...I put off making any appointments until I broke a tooth and needed a root canal. After a cursory search on google I spotted Gold Coast Dental in Brea. I was desperate so I made the appointment. Am I ever glad I did! Dr Furuichi is as good as it gets! His staff is so friendly and helpful. My crown fell off night before and I could not get an appointment anywhere, but Gold Coast Dental had an opening morning after. I got there and took bunch of x-ray shots, then waited for the doctor. He came in, greeted me without even looking at my direction and told me that I needed a root canal because the tooth with the crown had cavity. This was my first somethings not right feeling. Of all places, in a dentist office where most people really dont want to be there, the doctor should have better bedside manners to make you feel comfortable. After some time, someone else came in to go over the pricing. This is my second something else is wrong feeling... why do you need someone to come in to just go over pricing? Cost of the root canal was typical. But she said I needed to have deep cleaning which costs $5200, my cost about $1000. This alarmed me. Why do I need this? What condition did you find in the x-rays and visual examination that I would need $5200 deep cleaning? She could not answer, but only to say again and again, that you should get it because of build up. I did not understand this explanation. I decided to hold off and schedule an appoint with a dentist I had seen for many years, 7 years ago-- I did not have dental insurance for past 7 years so that was my last cleaning and visit. Two days later, I went to my old dentist office and he said I did not need a root canal. The tooth that had crown did not need root canal because the nerve was not exposed, nor was in danger of getting infected (the reason why you get root canal). After hearing this, I told him that the last dentist said I had to get a root canal, plus deep cleaning for $5200. His comment was, yeah he was probably trying to take you for a ride! He also said that my teeth were in great condition, no cavities elsewhere, not much build up and said I did a great job taking care of them the past 7 years! I didnt need the deep cleaning that Gold Coast said I should get! Im so glad I did not have to get a root canal and followed my instincts. Another note... the first dentist office used some squared shaped thing you place in your mouth and the corners were sharp and it really hurt. I commented to the person doing the x-ray shots that they should make them with rounded edges so it doesnt hurt. Guess what, the second dentist office had those things with rounded edges and it did not hurt at all! I think Gold Coast kinda sounds like Gold Diggers for a reason... haha.

I awoke with an uncomfortable ache in my lower left jaw and was able to get a morning appointment. Everyone in the office, from front area staff to dental staff were friendly, competent and professional. I truly appreciate their skill and outstanding attitude. When I changed insurances, I had to find a new dentist and went into Gold Coast Dental for an exam. They said I needed to get my Wisdom Teeth done very soon and provided a quote for doing the procedure. I discussed the price with them and they told me multiple times before the operation that they must quote 1 hour of sedation/anesthesia, but it very rarely takes over 30 mins, and if so I would only be charged for the amount used, which would lower the bill a decent amount. I agreed to do the procedure and because of this I actually timed the entire procedure to be only 25 minutes. I called them to ask for a refund for this portion (which they mentioned multiple times would be no issue), however they kept saying it would have to be a manager and told me he would call me. After multiple days of trying to get ahold of him, I finally talked to the manager and got a response of sorry, you used the entire time of the anesthesia we cant refund you. I told him I had proof of phone records of calling my girlfriend (designated driver) both before the operation and after totaling only 25 minutes. He simply said my phone must be wrong, they cant do anything about that. So apparently my smartphone isnt an accurate enough clock and reads twice as fast as theirs...... I strongly recommend staying away unless you want to have billing issues and be overcharged even though they promised otherwise ahead of time.

I visited this location about a month ago and I went in for a root canal. I was nervous about the shot but Stephen and the doctor made me feel so comfortable that I was relaxed during the whole procedure . Dr had gentle hands. The gentleman came in and from the start I felt pressured to pay for the service, he insisted that if I paid for today he could give me $100 discount he reiterated that three or four times even while I was at the front desk. I told him I feel that that is very unprofessional to offer a discount on medical services if I pay the X amount of dollars. I found this office on a Sunday afternoon, when no one else was open. I got my son in for an emergency toothache the same day. When we entered the building we were greeted with a big smile by the front office. Manola was AMAZING!!! She truly went above and beyond to help my son and I get the best treatment ever with Dr Furichi. They took care of his issues the same day. While I was waiting for my son, Manola suggested I get a cleaning. Thats when I met Jorge their terrific hygenest. He was so kind, personable, and very detailed. Stay away from this office, especially away from Dr. Furuichi! My fiance needs a dental implant and we were told Dr. Furuichi is the best in dental implant who also teaches at the USC. Being a professor myself, I went online to check his reviews. I did read some horrible reviews saying Dr. Furuichi is extremely careless. One reviewer claimed himself to be a dental student at the USC and comments Furuichis dental job is horrible. I gave Furuichi benefits of the doubt, thinking maybe this was just coming out of a student receiving bad grades in his class. Oh, I was so wrong! Dr. Furuichi turns out to be rude, careless, and absolutely the worst dentist I have ever met.The first meeting was short: he pulled out one teeth, did the bone graft; the assistant came in to take impressions for a denture that will cover the missing teeth for a few months before the crowning. They sent us away. The second meeting was one week later, we came in telling him my fiance is still in severe pain. But Furuichi refused to spend more than one minute checking the teeth, again quickly sent us away. Another week later, we came in again, Furuichi put the partial denture on. Unfortunately, the denture was very badly made: it was about 3 millimeters longer than his other teeth, and with a big gap between the denture and my boyfriends front tooth. My boyfriend literally looked like a vampire.So we refused to take the denture. We also refused to wait another week to come in and find another poorly made denture. Unfortunately they refused to refund the $299 fees for the denture. So we made one last request: please can Dr. Furuichi double check on my fiances bone graft to make sure it had recovered well? Dr. Furuichi came back saying you recover great, you can go now. He said this without looking at my fiances teeth at all! I insisted he should take a look. But Furuichi said Oh, I looked already. Are you serious? He spend a few seconds checking the denture after the dental assistant put the denture on and, when he looked, the bone graft was covered by the denture!This doctor cannot care less for his patients. And I would suggest everyone to stay away from him and his Brea office who cannot even make a denture that fits. Do not give him benefits of the doubts! Do not make the same mistake that I made!

Been here twice and both times were bad experiences for different reasons. The first time, I was let into a room that had bloody gauze on the floor and a wrapper on the arm rest which stayed the entire visit. The lady setting up my xrays was watching tv with me instead of working. The vet came in, asked 1 question, said he’ll return. A while later he returned, asked another question, said he’ll return. He never returned. After a while another lady checked in and I explained the vet hasn’t told me anything (or ask questions). This lady explained everything to me and my visit was over. Days later I needed to set up a second appointment. The customer service over the phone was comical. I had sassy, rude and sarcastic remarks thrown at me when I would ask questions regarding insurance. I got passed around on the phone and it was the worst I’ve ever been treated by a company. I still went to my second visit. I had an appointment but still waited 2 hours to be seen. Once done, I got out and will never return.

The biggest deficiency of GCB is that you never see the same person. The entire office seems to turn over every months. The second issue is that the actual dentist who again I do not know because it was not the same person that I saw 6 months spends less than 5 minutes reviewing your X-rays and completing an oral examination. Their billing needs to improve. They have misquoted me twice on the price of the procedures that needed to be done. On both times, I asked why is it different than what was quoted to me previously. The common response I received was, “I don’t know.” When I reviewed the treatment plans, I could tell that there were procedures that weren’t included in the original quote that was given to me. I thought then, mistakes do happen. Was only at the Brea location for about 15 minutes to get a CT scan prior to an extraction procedure at the Yorba Linda location since CT scans are not available at the YL site. The YL office was able to quickly work with the Brea office and Brea was able to see me within 10 minutes of my arrival. In just about 1 hour, I was able to drive from the YL office to get the CT scan at the Brea site and arrive back to the YL location to finish up my dental work. I was quite appreciative of how well the two offices were able to work together.

Staff is nice and dentists were pleasant. Im just very disappointed in the work they did, and they cost me over $1200 in a useless procedure. Dont go here for endodontic treatment. Find a small local practice that uses the latest technology.I had a previously done root canal that was infected. I was given the option to retreat or have it pulled, I decided to try to save my tooth. He explained there was a risk of reinvention, because of a file stuck in my tootb from a previous dentist. Based of the recommendation of the endo, I trusted that it would work out.1 month later, I was having issues with pressure and a bubble had formed above the tooth again. I moved so had to go to a new dentist. The new endodontist did a 360 degree scan of my mouth and discovered that not only was there a large infection, but another root that it seems the original procedure missed. None of the issues were related to the file which I was previously concerned about. I needed the tooth removed immediately.When the periodontist removed my tooth she said I also had a cyst and 3 times as much bone loss as they expected. So now Im out money for a root canal that shouldnt have been done to begin with. My new endo said he never would have recommended retreating the tooth. If they had done the proper scans I wouldnt have had to go through all this.

Warning ⛔️ please think twice before coming here! I really felt the need to write this review due to my horrible experience, although they are open sundays it is not worth wasting your time here. The staff is great however the dentist did not want to Properly wear the mask, and he has congestion. He told me covid is fake and he doesn’t believe in it, I have lost family members to covid !! It has hit close to home for us unfortunately, so please be aware of this!

Before coming in I asked to verify how much my insurance covers their services. They assured me its 100% covered . i showed up, spent 45 minutes waiting, and ended up wasting my day there and having nothing done as my insurance turned out not to cover 100% of the cost. Went to three other places for wisdom tooth removal and all referred me to another place. I walked in Brea Dental Care told them the pain i had they took a panoramic x-ray (other places charge for those) Dr. saw me said he would be able to remove the tooth and i was done. Simple no referring me to other places and also no more pain. THANKS TO EVERYONE THERE. I will be going there for all of my dental needs.

I really want to give them a five star, because most things are great, but the hygienist I had made me really uncomfortable. She didn’t tell me who she was, what she would be doing or anything else. BREA DENTAL CARE DOESNT NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR PATIENTS. This is literally the worst dentist I have ever visited in my life. They only care about collecting money and do not care about giving their patients the beautiful smile they deserve. I had a root canal done and now it looks like I have a rock in my mouth. I am now having pain in the gum area where had done the procedure and they had advised me that they will not help me fix it. It sucks to be so mistreated by a company and be taken advantage of. They do not deserve my one star.
