We had a great experience with this plumber. James, the technician, was amazing and really took time to sort out the issue we were having. We had a clogged toilet. He ended up having to pull it and snake the drain. He made the process very quick and easy, he gave us a lot of options as well for plumbing under our home. We will definitely use them again.

Wow! Alex at Goettl was very helpful, thorough and had my sink working perfectly in 20 minutes time. He was tidy, courteous and also provided me with tips on how to keep my kitchen sink draining optimally with steps I can take on my own if this happens again on a late Friday evening. Isaiah is a very good technician, knowledgeable, efficient, meticulous, and very friendly. He went through the process of evaluating systematically, and knew exactly what to do to fix the problem without taking any shortcuts. He kept us updated on the progress. Goettl is an excellent plumbing company, and all the technicians that worked on the various phases of the project, have been very good. Also, their electronic equipment (including camera), helps to show where the problems are, and show how everything looks after the repair.Without hesitation 5 stars!

I needed plumbing work. Until this time, I had no prior experience with Goettl A/C and Plumbing and no friendly or neighborly referrals for them. I had been notified that Goettl was somehow affiliated with my prior go-to plumbing company (no longer in business) so decided to give them a try.An appointment for estimate of work was made. Thats when Alex Cose showed up.I was texted with estimated time of arrival and Alex was right on time. He was pleasant, reviewed my issues and provided an excellant explanation and what i considered an honest estimate of work and cost. I appreciated the discount he was also able to provide.Alex is an excellent first impression representative and I look forward to doing further business with him and Goettl!

I am already a ride or die Goettl customer. On Monday (2 days ago) I gave them a call, my wife and I decided it was time for AC, after 40 years! James Estrada a bright and experienced tech from Goettl was dispatched here yesterday (Tuesday), and I had an easy-to-understand proposal last night. The proposal has all our options regarding, installation, insulation, and restoration broken-out perfectly.Goettl Plumbing and HVAC is new-ish to San Diego, but they have been in business for decades, and they are obviously trying to build a reputation (in SD) for service and quality work at a fair price. This is the second time I’ve used Goettl, and they are Top Shelf! Give them a call, request Anthony for Plumbing and James for HVAC. The Managers and Dispatch team are awesome as well.mc in pb

A year ago me air-conditioning quit. I called Goettl air and got fast competent service. the tech sold me an air condition maintenance contract, for a year this was Ok and they fulfilled there part of the contract. A month ago goettl called and told me the price had gone up to $20. a month and they wanted to put sensors on to monitor the equipment I said no. Our water heater needed replacement I called goettl and got a 3,800.00 estimate for the least expensive option with a 4 year warranty, with my membership discount. this is a 2 year ripoff that cost $120. to cancel. ps from HD I paid 2700. and a 12 year warranty.

I am so glad I chose Pacific Drain & Plumbing to complete my drain pipe lining and repairs.The drain pipes in my old apartment building kept backing up. Pacific Drain & Plumbing were the first company to find the real issue. PD&P used their cameras to pinpoint the failure and show me exactly what was going on, my cast iron pipes where cracked and rusting away.I got quotes from 3 different companies. Pacific Drain & Plumbings quote was not the cheapest, but I felt their plan was the best and their personnel the most knowledgeable.I was right picking this company. The repairs under one apartment went well. They replaced the totally rusted out pipes and lined the others pipes all the way to the city sewer.Many months later, the drains under the other side of the building failed and water was everywhere. PD&P again did a great job with the repair.Both repairs where major undertakings. Their teams worked very well together and where considerate of our property and tenants. I would recommend this company and will use them again for any drain or plumbing needs.

Brandon came out to our house because we had a leak under our Kitchen sink. He diagnosed the issue being that our pipes were so corroded away from being old pipes. He said that we caught the issue early so there wasn’t a lot of damage to the cabinets and to our walls. He got right on top of the issue and the next day the restoration team came out and started fixing the issue.

Yes, I was scheduled to meet with Air condition Heating and plumming March 29th. I had received a text from Goettl stating Good Morning I am reaching out regarding your appointment scheduled for tomorrow between 1 to 5. We are low on staffed and will need to reschedule you appointment. At this point I assumed that both A/C and Pluming were cancelled. I had rescheduled for April 11. Then I got another text later on stating This is a friendly reminder from Goettl A/c and pluming that were scheduled to come March 29. I had called them telling them that I received the text that it was cancelled assuming it was both A/C and plumming. Come to find out they are separate. This is a very confusing way of scheduling having separate service. I dont feel this should happen to a customer and that it needs to better organised so that the customer had both services on the same day scheduled. If there is a cancellation please text which one is cancelled. I rescheduled for both to be on the same day.

I hired Goettl to do a septic to sewer conversion for my property. Goettl not only had the best price, but it was also clear even during the estimate/quote process with Mike that they are thorough and dependable. When we encountered difficulties with the county, Goettl rose to the occasion and multiple team members got involved to ensure that the company did right by me while also following county code. When work finally started, it was done quickly and with extreme attention to detail. Andres and his crew were awesome. They had to cut through some of my cement and Andres repaved my cement better than any plumber I’ve ever seen – it looks even better than the rest of my sidewalk. They also made sure I knew where my new cleanouts were if I ever needed to snake my line and they replaced an old cast iron pipe that was on its way to failing even though it wasn’t in the contract! Lastly, the crew was super respectful of my property. They cleaned everything up, there was literally no trace of them once the job was done. Andres even put some rocks on top of the soil where the team had to dig so it wouldn’t be a muddy mess after it rains. Thanks to the whole crew at Goettl. I really appreciate the time, effort and troubleshooting that went into my project. I can certainly say I’ve found my plumbers and I’m sticking with them 😊2/7/24 updateI hired Goettl once again to repipe my house to replace bad gas lines and they were awesome. They did everything they could to go above and beyond. They even worked in the rain, there was a literal tornado warning and these guys still stayed on the job! John, Franky and Andres are the best. They were able to fix some other issues while repiping my house, giving me some extra features while they were already in there.

I had the pleasure of meeting Jordan with Goettl Plumbing today. I have met more than a handful of plumbers over the last week. He is THE 1ST to fully listen to the situation and take the time to fully mail out my wacky plumbing situation and then take the time to make sure I understood it fully. I am delighted to sit and write this review for a true knowledgeable professional. He put in so much time to make sure he really got it and addressed all my issues. He’s still doing his thing to he talk the specs for the bid but I am confident that I will actually get the bids I asked for, for the job I asked for, when he said he would provide them. Plumber lied about the water heater was full of sediments and could not drain. I had another company come out and drained the water heater. It has plenty of life in it since there was practically no sediments that came out in the flush. Goettl is a big scam and can not be trusted.

I’m sending you an updated evaluation of your company due to the recent experience I had. Javi was very knowledgeable about the heating system that I have in my house and he is very likeable . My first experience with your company was December 1, 2023. My heater needed a new circuit board and I okayed the replacement at the cost of 1,592 dollars. That was a punch in the gut, but oh well some parts are expensive. About a week ago January 5th my heater quit working again. I call Goettl and they dispatched Javi to my house the next day. After about ten minutes of troubleshooting Javi stated that I needed a new igniter. He quoted me a price of 459 dollars and I was totally shocked. Javi did some calculating and said he could give it to me for 359 dollars. After replacing the part the heater started working. Okay fine I’m glad it works now so I wrote the check. After Javi left my home I got on line to check the pricing. I wasn’t prepared to get kicked in the nuts but that’s exactly how I felt when online pricing was less than 70 dollars for the highest priced one then checked the price of a circuit board and none of the ones I could purchase cost more than 1 hundred dollars. I have changed my opinion of Goettl and would like to know how in good conscience you can rip people off like that.

The sewer pipe from our home to the city sewer line was originally installed in the 40s. It’s made out of tar paper called Orangeburg (cast iron was being diverted to the war effort). It’s served us much longer than expected. But root intrusions and general degradation caused a portion of it to collapse. The folks at Pacific Drain came out and quickly repaired the collapsed section. But they took it an extra step. They repaired our ancient sewer pipe by installing a sturdy epoxy liner inside of it, in under one day. This avoided the disruption of digging up the old pipe and replacing it. Now the pipe is good for another 25 years. Amazing! Their staff did an excellent job, were a pleasure to work with, and the price was very reasonable. I highly recommend Pacific Drain for sewer pipe repair.

Super impressed with Goettl. Ran into a nasty drain issue a few months ago, but due to rain and other ongoing construction could not address. Jordan sorted out issue temporarily, but flagged that cast iron drain lines were in bad shape.Last Friday, lines plugged and I could not clear, even trying with my snake. Called, Grant came out, and was able to clear a bit, but showed lines had effectively collapsed.Enter Sergio and crew. They arrived bright and early Saturday, cleared enough that we could use bathrooms for weekend. Full multi day job to renovate lines, finding buried clean outs, replacing those that were defective, clearing all blockages, installing liners, and installing spin coat where liners could not go. Communication was excellent, work was clean, workspace was well secured and left tidy each evening.I am super impressed with Sergio and his team! Amazed at how much they did in a few days.And overall, everyone I worked with was professional, competent, thoughtful in how they approached the problems, and worked super hard in this heat wave. I’m a property manager and tenants had sewage backing up into baths on Thanksgiving. We called ARS an emergency plumbing service company who came out found roots in the line. They attempted a camera inspection of drain line but were unable to get the camera all the way through. They suggested digging down to hydro jet the line and install a sleeve liner. The quote of $68,000 seemed high and they wanted to dig on the public street requiring permits and someone to direct traffic.I had used Geottl before and recommended them to my homeowner for a second opinion. Geottl came out same day we contacted them. Sergio the technician couldn’t get his camera through the sewer line so he pulled out a bigger camera and got it all the way through. He had the right tools for the job. Lucky he did as he located an issue where the ABS pipe from house met the clay pipe in yard. The connection had failed and the ABS pipe was not secured into clay. Sergio also showed me where some of the clay pipe near this connection connection was cracked.Like the first company, Geottl recommended cleaning the line and installing a sleeve but their plan had two large improvements over the prior plumbers. One, the dig spot was inside the front yard so we could avoid traffic issues and permit for work on public street street and two their dig was over the larger problem where they could fix the connection between ABS and Clay. The final huge difference was in the bid. Less than 1/3 of original quote.Sergio the lead technician was fantastic and kept us appraised every step of the way. They had to move a large Bird of paradise and managed to get it out roots and all so we could replant. In fact they offers to replant but our gardener wanted to do it.The crew also moved some irrigation lines to make way for the new double sweep clean out. They reworked the lines and made everything neat when complete.Tony the project manager, Maria the office manager and everyone we spoke with was upbeat and and positive.Highly recommend Geottl!

They answer the phone with a real person and that person was very nice and helpful. They also sent someone out on Labor Day. I was very impressed. Grant who was the plumber who showed up was friendly and courteous. He made a very good first impression.Where things fell apart was when I was presented with a fix or replace option. The fix option was significantly less expensive by approx. $5,800. It was a bandaid and at some point in the future I planned on tackling the replacement. With a separate water remediation project in process I didn’t want to deplete my resources.Grant scheduled the fix for the next day and on that day he called me to let me know that there were complications with the dig to access the damaged pipe that was to be repaired. He said the damaged area was too deep and that he had specific procedures that needed to be followed to dig that deep and due to that gave me a couple reasons why it was going to cost substantially more than we agreed to do the fix and suggested that maybe it would be better to just replace. Upon reviewing the video and photos he sent me I just got a weird feeling something wasn’t right. The hole he dug was kind of small. I headed home from work to see the situation in person and it looked like he and his associate hadn’t really done much digging (at least not $495 worth). I got the feeling that maybe they were just finding angles to get me to move forward with the replacement. Maybe I’m just paranoid but I trust my instincts. I figured if I was going to do a replacement as suggested I should get some comparable quotes. I asked Grant to stop everything and I paid Grant $495 for the small hole as per his invoice. Lesson learned, never pay plumber money for ditch digging work. I felt overcharged but what am I going to do. I called two more plumbers to come by and provide an estimate for replacement. In hindsight I should have called for 3 estimates up front. My bad.While I was waiting for the next plumber to come over I grabbed a shovel and dug out the rest of the pipe until I was probably 5 inches from the damaged area of the pipe. Around that time the next plumber arrived. The next plumber looked at the hole that was supposedly too deep to work in without special treatment, grabbed his shovel, jumped in there and cleaned the dirt from the pipe. He fixed the pipe in 30 minutes and provided a quote for replacement as I will likely replace the pipe in 6-12 months.In conclusion I feel like Grant and his team were either a little lazy or maybe steering me to a much more profitable replacement. I could be wrong but that’s what it felt like.I will say that their pricing was fair for the fix and just a little high but within striking distance for the replacement.All of the employees I dealt with were nice and courteous. I did get a little push back when I suggested to Daniel the project manager that I should talk to management directly. His nice veneer started to crack a little.I started with these guys but I finished with someone else. Had they finished the fix at the price they quoted I would have probably given them 4.5-5 stars and definitely had them come back for the replacement.

The tech who came out was fine but Goettl needs to change their business plan. Originally they unclogged a drain for me, and offered some sort of yearly rate in case it were to clog again. It included an HVAC tune up. The office called and called and pestered me until I finally scheduled. They they continue to pester me with confirmation emails, calls to see if I received the confirmation email, why didn’t I confirm (cuz you just effing called me the day before and I’d said I’d be home), then ‘rate us’ text messages….well you asked for it. I got an appointment for the next day and was excited to find out that they had an $80 drain cleaning special going on. Jaden DAmico came out and was pleasant, polite and knowledgeable. I also had him clear my bathroom sink drain. Im thrilled to have both drains running clearly. He pointed out some other problems and I plan to have them come back to do the repairs. Customer service agent Marie was so nice and professional to take my request for a plumber nearby. Jarrod was the tech who was fast, efficient and professional at all times. He arrived earlier than expected which was awesome!!!! He arrived about two hours of my request. Wow! He gave me price right away and did it very quickly. We tried to do it ourselves with using Drano and short snake but unsuccessful for two days. Had to find a plumber fast!Also he advised of another issue with my faucet cartridge was old and said it will eventually need to be fixed soon too. It leaks a little. Had a terrible clog in the kitchen sink. The previous owners must have poured grease down the sink for years! Called Goettl and they came out, assessed the situation, then informed me of the costly repair due to negligence by the prior owner. I didnt have all the money it was going to cost but the serviceman called his supervisor and worked out a deal for me that brought the price down to something I could afford (kind of). I agreed to the deal, the serviceman did the repair VERY quickly, and now my kitchen sink plumbing is brand new. These guys really do DO THINGS THE RIGHT WAY. I can now clean out my drain in the future by myself because the serviceman did an excellent job!I cant thank this company enough for working with me to get the price down a little. Im not going to say it was cheap, but it was affordable and the work quality is excellent. Like the old saying goes, you get what you pay for. The previous owner must have used the cheapest material and plumber possible because the old pipes were a mess and impossible to work on if you had a clog. Im happy to say that I paid a fair price to have an excellent job done!One last thing, the serviceman who fixed my problem is named Jared. Hes AWESOME!
