Where to begin? Gina and her team are magical, to say the least. They knew the sellers market inside and out, and timed and priced our listing perfectly and competitively. They recommended all the right improvements, and referred us to the amazing, reliable vendors who performed them. Her marketing and staging is totally on point and definitely made a difference in attracting potential buyers. Gina really involved us in much of the decision-making from the start, letting us know the pros and cons in light of the market conditions. She also kept us reassured and informed every step of the way, which helped us to stay calm and confident throughout a rather nerve-wracking process. Gina is THE BESTEST BEST!!!The very first thing that stood out to us about Gina, is her ability to understand what we are exactly looking for. As any other buyer, we had numerous wishes, constraints, and trade-offs -- but there were a few critical underlying needs that sometimes even we were not able to clearly articulate. Gina is fabulous in this regard, and after our initial discussions she was able to focus into the homes that we would be interested in, and all of her recommendations were top-notch.Gina recommended the home (that we bought) as soon as it got on the market, and we had our offer accepted in a couple days. Recently I used the services of Linda Newton to assist with the sale of my mothers home in the Somerset subdivision in Brentwood. Linda was amazing from the time I met her. She sat down with me and explained everything and had everything written out. She was in consent touch with me the whole way. Checking on how I was doing and advising me of the process. When readying the house for sale she purchased items to use at the house on her own, She even went so far as to help scrub the tiles to make them look better. Ive never seen an agent so involved in the sale of a home. She went that extra 100 miles to make sure everything was right and the house was ready for sale. Absolutely the best real-estate agent in the East-Bay.During the financial crisis of ’08 to ’10, I was trying to sell my house, and like most it was not moving. I terminated my contract with my existing agent, and interviews several new agents, and was very impressed with Gina.She listed out exactly what I would need to do sell the house, staging, marketing, and price. The day the house went back on the market I went on vacation. Well halfway through my vacation, Gina contacted me and had 2 offers. Two years on the market with not so much as a nibble and with Gina, 2 offers within a week. She guided me through the offers helping me select the best, and the house closed in about 30 days. She worked with us to update things such as interior paint, the floors and the landscaping to get maximum value for the house and she even picked out the paint colors and flooring so that we didnt have to do anything. The buying and selling of real estate, for most of us, starts with an agent. Not many of us know relators, and few have worked with an agent more than once. My wife and I have been through buying or selling many times, and it has always been a long and sometimes difficult process.At the beginning of the year 2021, my wife and I decided to sell our home in Pleasanton, CA. We turned to the agency that we had used to purchase this same home, Elation Real Estate. To add to the complexity of the sale of this home, we were not in-state. Additionally, the sale of this Pleasanton home was a contingency to a home we were purchasing in Washington. As the time grew near, my wife and I were very anxious about all of these details, and being remote added to our angst.In one call, Gina took all of these anxieties off our shoulders. She said that she would take care of everything. She would assess the property and provide us guidance about anything we needed to fix and if major renovation would give a more significant return based on the market. Gina said she would have the house cleaned, and all touch-ups would be done. She would also take care of staging the home. All of which was part of her normal process. She became a hero at this point.What happened next, and what took Gina and Shawn from hero to legend, was a burst pipe days before closing this Pleasanton home. My wife and I panicked. In our minds, we not only lost our dream home in Washington but may have put us on course to everything breaking down. Gina and Shawn did not panic. They managed the hiring and supervision of a plumber to get the pipe fixed. They immediately initiated discussions with the buyers, and with a letter of intent-to-restore, we were able to close. Gina and Shawn handled every step of the process to remediate, asbestos abatement, drying out, re-flooring, re-drywalling, and supervision of trades. Who does that?After closing the sale and after the initial trauma, my wife and I were worried that the continued efforts to get the new owners in their home would falter. Gina and Shawn were technically finished with the sale of our home, and we thought that we would have to travel down to finish the supervision of work. We reached out to Gina and Shawn and thanked them for their exceptional work but understood if they could no longer help us with the remaining work needed. We are NOT going anywhere, was Ginas response. Amazing!My wife and I would like those reading this to understand one thing. If you want to buy or sell a home in or around the East San Francisco Bay Area, no agency will care for your business more than Elation Real Estate. We no longer consider Gina and Shawn as our agents; they are family because what they did and how they cared for us is what family does for each other. To Gina and Shawn, thank you. It may be the oddest of reviews, writing one for an ex-girlfriend. However, this is the exception to that rule. Gina stepped in and sold my Livermore residence, where another agent had completely let let me down. I thought going the cut rate route was the play, as the market was moving at a great clip. When I first informed Gina of my decision, she was gracious and understanding, leaving me with this advice Remember, most of the time in life, you get exactly what you pay for. When I came groveling back, there was no gloating, no I told you so!, nothing but the highest degree of professionalism. Then the listing kicked off under Her watchful eye. The experiences between the two agents were night & day. The biggest differences; I heard from Gina weekly and her marketing plan was spot on.
