It should be a fun park for little kids. The parking lot is large enough for visitors. It has some water playing activities which should be nice in hot summer. The cons are that waiting time for each ride is too long. Overall, it is a nice little theme park. Pay attention to those strange trees.

It’s a wonderful place with all fun slides and water park. They also have camp nights that include movie, camping and three meals. Food was also good. My kids enjoyed a lot and boating is bonus.Highly recommend this place.

The new water park has 3 slides but not that great but on a hot day it was fun to be in the water park. We love banana rides, quicksilver the most.One thing I dont like about this place is their closing hour. They close at 6 Pm that too in summer vacation weekend on a hot day. The park expects everyone to hangout in the sun all day during peak afternoon hours, they do not provide an option to enjoy the evening in the park although it doesnt get dark till 8:30 pm.

I wouldnt recommend buying tickets or season passes this year.Weve been going to Gilroy Gardens since my son was 2; hes 12 now. Weve always loved this place!Now that hes on summer break, my son wanted to go back to Gilroy Gardens. However, this time was much different. We quickly discovered that Gilroy Gardens hasnt been properly maintaining their rides in the off-season.Four major attractions broke down or were closed today: the banana ride -- for part of our visit, and my sons first stop and disappointment; the spinning swings, which a park employee said had been down for months; both sections of the old classic car ride -- for the entire time we were there; and the Water Oasis Bucket and slides -- for the entire time we were there (one of their flagship attractions) (picture attached; employees just stood around waiting all day to tell people over and over it wasnt usable and they had no ETA on when it would be back up).When we asked park attendants why the Water Oasis Bucket area was closed, they said that too much chlorine had been added (which implies negligence).Of the few rides that were open that we rode, the majority had other operational issues. Even the tram made such load noises from scaping against the track through sections that the kids on it were covering their ears with looks of discomfort on their faces. We even got hit in our tram car by multiple branches of overgrown trees throughout multiple sections of the ride.People that work there should ride each ride each morning before the park opens and guests come to ride the rides to ensure theyre safe; had they been, I think theyd quickly see parts of the trees are coming into the tram in multiple areas.For a visit that took us over 2 hours to get there; and over 3 hours to get home (through Gilroy 5 pm traffic); and cost a ton -- what a disappointment.Id recommend steering clear this summer. There are lots of other great water parks and amazement parks throughout California that are much better maintained. They should be reinvesting some of their revenue back into each of their rides each off season; especially if theyre going to be open 7 days a week. Guests expect to come and find what they paid for available.We also checked the website before coming to plan our visit. There was no mention anywhere that any of the attractions were down. We checked again when we got home, still no mention that any attractions were down today.Im really disappointed Gilroy Gardens. There were a lot of places I could have spent the day with my son; but we chose your family theme park. The least you could do was ensure that your rides were fully operational, safe, and well-maintained for all of your guests today.

This place is a must! So cute and the scale is perfect for families who dont want the big disney experience. Lines were not too much of wait. Several little water parks included in your ticket price, unlike Legoland. Perfect for hot weather. Their small convenient stands were not too expensive either, which was great. When we went they had a memorial day sale with all u can drink soda wristbands and $2 popcorn. Absolutely will be back!

Update : Reduced from 5 stars to 3 stars.Great place for kids, but operations are too slow. It takes them 6 minutes to unload/load 20 folks for a 1 minute roller coaster ride. The wait times can be easily 45 minutes to an hour on a moderately busy day.

Absolutely fantastic! My only complaint is the food- not a lot of vegetarian options and overpriced for non-quality food. Cold fries, pre made salad and stale nachos at their mexican restaurant. Everything else was FABULOUS. Id love to return but hope for better food options next time.

I cannot tell you how much fun this park is for families. It is the best! Perfect! It is especially good for families with kids under 12 with some rides geared for 10 and up. Especially to roller coaster. My first impression was simply great! Every employee was over the top happy to meet us, helpful, and cheerful. I was so surprised. Just the way you would want it. The park is beautiful. Not a piece of trash to be found and the abundant and convenient restrooms were spotless. Catch the train first to see the wonderful gardens, woods, and rides then make your plan for the days adventures. Be sure to bring a change of clothes for the kids to enjoy the water. The water park is simply amazing. It even offers adult coolant for those days when the kids are exuberant and we need a bit of something to ease our weary feet and minds. Simply the best!

We love this place! Last year was our first visit my son was 2.5 and this year he had more fun. The water area is awesome and this year they had a new space for smaller kids which was more fun and relaxing than last year. We still need to ride the train, but other than that weve done basically everything and its awesome.

This is such a great family theme park. I took my kids ages 2-8 and everyone had a great time. They got on some rides and most of the time we were at Water Oasis. This is the perfect water park for these ages. My kids loved everything about it. I wish they had a variety of food at the water park but what they have near by is ok to get us through the time there. The prices are not bad compared to other theme parks weve been to. I definitely recommend this Family Park! On a weekday though! Very packed on weekends!

Truly a hidden gem among theme parks. It has variety of attractions for all the ages, a garden, water play area, rides and at an affordable price. You can definitely think of getting an annual pass here. There were some comments on being not well maintained etc but it is not that bad either. While the fast pass was not recommended here, the crowds during Labor Day were so huge, the wait times were more than 1.5hours for certain rides; so do buy it for long weekends. So the park is highly recommended for ages less than 10-11. They have clean restrooms, lockers, strollers for rentals and plenty of restaurants. Buying ticket online saves you much.

Definitely recommend this place. Is so beautiful and there is so many flowers and trees around it. The birds sounds are amazing and the river is beautiful. Rides are mostly for kids, but as an adult you will get to relax and enjoy the scenery and fresh air. There is some rides adults can enjoy and train rides that show you the park. Kids under 4 will also enjoy some of the rides. The park was not too crowded and lines were so small. All workers were kind and friendly. Food however is not good and is overpriced. It needs to improve. I recommend eating outside before going in. There is also a water park that is super cute. Place is awesome. We will be going back for halloween and Christmas.

What a heavenly place! It was so nice, shady and green, we just loved it. There was a small queue for almost all the rides, but most of the areas are in shade, it was bearable. There are lots of rides for kids of all ages. Train ride and boat ride is a must! Waterfalls and oasis/ splash pad was such a relief in the hot summer weather. Kids aged 2 and 3 enjoyed a lot. Food inside the park is fine. I really liked the garlic-parsley fries. One can take snacks and water bottles inside. Do check their FAQ, beforehand. Bring your strollers/ wagen. Getting a membership is better if u are a bigger family with kids above 3 years old. Whole garden is well maintained and engaging. Staff is friendly and helpful. Definitely coming back again soon.

Gilroy Gardens Family Theme Park is a beautiful place. There is something for everyone. There are rides for small kids and some rides can be enjoyed by 10yrs+ or adults too. I recommend to do the paddle boat first as later in the day waiting time may be more around 20-25 minutes or more for this ride. Timber twister & quick silver coaster can be enjoyed by adults who are happy with little thrill 😀.Food is bit pricey-.Garlic French fries are worth to try.Nice gardens, rides. Plenty of area to sit and relax. Overall a good place to enjoy with your family. Will plan to visit again.

Kiddie Park, if you are coming for the Circus trees, good luck. The trees seem to be an afterthought with them. They are not listed on the map, but they are drawn on the map if u look really close. 6/8 of the minor ones are located before the entrance,

Our babies, 1 and 2 years old, really liked the rides they could go on. The park is beautiful and Gilroy should be proud of their little oasis near the bay.On a Monday the park was not crowded at all. Most of the rides are perfect for the small kids. The parks website/app said almost all attractions were open but they were not staffed until later in the afternoon -1☆.The food prices are typical of amusement parks and an adult beverage runs about $15. The souvenir shop was fairly reasonable and we got our babies little ranger vest for $15.99 each.No outside food or drink, but there is a somewhat hidden shaded bench area available outside the main gate & parking lot near the Box circus tree that is perfect for a packed lunch.

Its a nice theme park for day visit in the woods with pretty sights of a waterfall, fun train ride and some low thrill level rides. Would definitely recommend if kids are under 5 or you love to get some entertainment while being close to nature. The waterpark operates in late spring typically around May. Great America gold members get a free entry to Gilroy Gardens but need to pay for the parking at Gilroy gardens.

This amusement park is well maintained and have a good variety of rides. Park is in general clean and there are many pretty flowers, plants and amazing trees. Staff are friendly and food is reasonably priced (of course, a little more expensive than the outside restaurants). The single day ticket is $50. Parking is $20 but $5 cheaper if purchased online. Membership is $110 for the entire year. Great America membership can get free admission for adults and kids.

Had an amazing day with grandkids ages 4 and six. The perfect age to take them to Gilroy gardens. Older kids 10 and up might be bored. Very clean and family friendly. Recommend that you buy entry tickets and parking tickets online in advance. You will save about 20%. Food in the park is very expensive. Bring a picnic lunch but keep it in your trunk. They will not let you bring food in but you can stamp your hand and leave the park when youre ready to eat. There are picnic tables right outside the entry. Easy return back in with your stamped hand. It is not crowded and there are no lines if you go in the morning hours. Crowds come in the afternoon. There is a full water park there. We did not use the water park on this trip. Plenty for the kids to do without going to the water park.

I love taking my kids here. They all love going and they have so much fun. I like that the park is filled with pretty gardens and lots of shade. The lines go by pretty fast and the bigger rides often have no lines. This place is great for kids ages 13 and under. The food here is good and they also serve alcoholic drinks in the evening, which is nice if you enjoy having a refreshing drink.

Great family theme park especially for the kids. Its got many interesting rides with different thrill levels.The water activities and beautiful water falls are real fun in the summer. As is the usual case with theme parks, food is overpriced.Lines are usually long for the rides on weekends and holidays, so it pays to go on a business day to get the most out of it. Even though it can get extremely hot in the summer, there is lots of shade areas throughout the park.It is worth it to get a membership if you want to enjoy all that the park offers, and save the parking fee. One Premium Membership Card is enough not to pay for parking.If you go early in the day, you can secure a parking space close to the park gate as their parking area is huge.Their parking lot is the largest I have ever seen. However, with Gilroys overly hot weather, parking your vehicle at this shadeless lot for several hours can make it like a burning oven. It would be great to have lines of trees in the lot to provide some shade as I always see visitors desperately looking for a space on the limited tree-lined edge of the parking lot that is sadly quickly filled in the morning.

Cons: Kids in the swim area in legit underwear and that’s it. Why isn’t there anyone enforcing rules like put on a swim diaper or a bathing suit? Also wish they had more food options that were healthier like fresh fruit or salads or vegan items. Overall it was nice and fun.

Gilroy is an incredible place. There’s a good selection of rides and a ton of things to see and do. We regretted not coming for the entire day because we didn’t get to see everything. Only complaint is that the ride lines can be pretty slow, especially with the car ride.

It was ok…The water park is all the way towards the back. Once we got there, they had limited seats. Small umbrellas doesn’t offer much shade. I don’t know why they wouldn’t have something better than a few cheap umbrellas and more seating. Half the seats were taken by peoples stuff and towels. And there’s really no place for parents to stand and watch. The water area was just boring. Kids were ready to leave within 20 mins.We went to the game area which was okay..some of the games weren’t even open. But not overly expensive.The rides…. Were underwhelming. I knew my little one was going to be short for some rides but I didn’t know my older boys wouldn’t be able to get on because they’re “too tall” so keep that in mind if you have older kids. My older sons are 7 and 10 so yes they’re not babies but they wanted to have fun too!We were all losing the desire to stay because everything just wasn’t what we expected. We didn’t buy food, got overpriced slurpees. Tried to get face painting for the kids but of course 1 person doing the painting and she had zero interest/motivation. Didn’t keep track of her line so we got cut by someone else. We were over it all…I’m sure other people have decent experiences but we won’t be going back.Perfect place for little ones, bring a fan, bring snacks, I wouldn’t travel far for this, or make this your only activity for the day. Basically don’t have high expectations lol get the Groupon deal and save some money.

One of the best family vacations I had in a while not only was there plenty for my kids to do It was a easy day when we got there I bought the fast pass and I got the year-round membership so basically I got to see my daughters right on all the rides they want and they had fun We went to almost every vendor to get souvenirs for my youngest and my oldest and they loved it they saw several shows that we all liked and it just became more fun each time My rating for Gilroy gardens its a 10 out of 10 experience

Park itself is great. Its a great place to spend the day and even better when the water park areas are opened (opening on May 13th). A cool new band I think called the Blossom Buds... (not completely sure of their name), they are fantastic! Great rides for the kids. My only complaint is that a lot of the food shops were out of things. Also, they have these speciality cookies for the blossom theme and they are decorated with flowers so they charge more than regular cookies, but you dont get a decorated cookie. Just a cookie with a bunch of frosting on it. Wont be buying those again as a result, but we will be back once the water park opens.

The worst amusement park experience ever. The efficiency of the staff was infuriatingly poor. A very simple attraction, which might take just 1-2 minutes, had entrance and exit processes that could each take 5 minutes or even longer and another 5 mins to get start. This meant that a one or two-minute attraction required about 15 minutes to cycle through a new group of people. Consequently, almost every attraction required waiting in line for over 50 minutes. We only managed to go on four rides the entire day.

Excellent place to spend time with family especially with little kids under 7-8 years of age. There are many age appropriate rides for little kids, 2 roller coasters, banana split for adults a little lake is there inside the park which allows you to do paddle boating. A train ride which takes you around the entire park so that you can become familiar with the place, and also it’s super fun. Limited eating joints with fast food, ice creams, popcorn etc are available. Their premium membership is worth taking if you live within 50 miles of the park and plan to come again for visiting. Kids under 3 go for free. They also allow you to take some snacks/water for kids/seniors for emergency purposes. During summer it’s open all week, but before n after that it’s only open for weekends. Down side is older kids might not enjoy the park so much since there are not many exciting rides for them. Also their water park area which opens in summers is awesome for all ages to enjoy.

We had season passes during 2022. We went to a few of the holiday/scavenger hunt events. The holiday/Christmas lights was my favorite. There were a few things that were extra such as ice skating ($14) and pictures with Santa ($40), but it was worth it to see my girls so happy.

Im 18 and i brought my 22 year old sister here for her birthday, and even though we were arguably above the age limit, we still had lots of fun!!! definitely check out the lake and the rainbow garden, the visuals are so beautiful! (just wish there was more garlic merchandise, would have paid GOOD money for a gil & roy sweatshirt 😋) an excellent time! highly recommend!

Perfect place for 3-6 year olds. Lots of rides that are accessible and fun for the little ones. Wasnt too crowded, and the lines were pretty short. Cant say too many positives for the food stands, so Id suggest bringing your own. Looking forward to the water park area to open.

Loved this place!! Lots of trees and sitting areas for us older folks. Food and beverages are very pricey but delicious. Next time, I will pack lunch and snacks, though. Lots of walking and standing, so wear comfy shoes. Definitely need sunscreen and a hat, but theres plenty of shaded areas with a nice breeze. Its totally worth it. Fun for all ages!!

Such a great looking park but terribly managed. All they do is sell memberships but from year to year the rides stay the same dirty and I can still see the leaves from last fall inside the rides. The metals rusty and bulbs broken. Staff is uninterested in the guests and mostly kids. Most of the rides are usually closed even if it’s sunny out. The food is awful. The park itself is beautiful and the grounds are clean so if you intend to walk around then you are in the right place. I wish they would spend some of the money on refurbishing the rides or upgrading them. I would rather pay a little more but go to a nicer park. Overall waste of time and money

The rides are suitable for smaller kids - even an 18-month old.Bought an annual pass and got two free holiday tickets, so we essentially just went into the park with one annual pass, which is around 100 bucks. It got us to buy food in the park with 20% off.The holiday feast seems nice but we didnt go with that because we didnt want to have time constraints.It is a bit cold during the night in the park. Prepare layers as the daytime is warm.Some rides have long wait times - especially the train station one and the car ride. Prepare to be in line for 20-30 min. Other rides had no line or wait time.Overall a good experience.

We always really enjoy this theme park. The abundant trees make it shady and it has never been uncomfortably warm. The rides are great for smaller kids. We love all the food themed rides. The water park was overly crowded on 4th of July, hope to be able to visit on a weekday.Unplanned on our side we were happy to be there for a book reading and signing which was super cute.

Gilroy Gardens is a nice lovely place to visit especially with family with kids…only negative as far as I can say, the swan/duck paddle boat rides were way too long, due to each paddle boats can hold max of 2 people. We are still in line and it’s approaching 2hours. The line was not really that long, but to only have a max of 2 person per boat, it’s ridiculous!!!! You pretty much had waited 1/4 of your time in line for this ride. This ride should have boats that can carry atleast up to 4 people not just 2 people 😠😡👎🏻

I had the same issue as Brad a couple posts down. A lot of rides were closed, and the over chlorination of the oasis bucket area. We had a cabana for that area specifically on 6/18. They never offered to move us. We asked for a refund that day, took my information and claimed they will contact me soon. Well guess what, nothing. So I emailed. And still nothing. Will not be going back. Waste of a day. Customer service will not make it right. If I have to ask you twice, and get nothing, it’s not happening.

My Grandchildren liked the train ride the best of all even though they rode the rides that they could. I don’t know why they don’t announce the rides that are closed? I asked the young lady at the welcome center so which rides other than the Swan boat ride was closed. She replied “well I don’t know they don’t tell us🧐” other than everything being over priced from the food to the souvenirs my grandchildren enjoyed themselves!

This park is great for little kids and grown ups! I have 2 yr old twins and a 4 yr old. There are rides and activities for everyone. It is good to bring one adult per kid as some rides require an adult per kid. Employees are high school students and are very cautious, nice, and some are funny in their announcements. Kids like that! The membership is the way to go multiple times. The food is horrible and expensive, so bring food for your picky eaters.

Yesterday I took my son and two of my granddaughters to Gilroy Garden’s and paid $59 dollars per adult to eat at their all you can eat buffet (includes; turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, etc and pumpkin pie)with beautiful decorations.The decorations were the highlight, the food served was ABSOLUTELY horrible, disgusting and the pumpkin pie I just took one bite and I thought I was going to throw up.Shame on Gilroy Gardens for serving such garbage, what a ripoff!!!!!Enjoy the rides but eat before you go!!!!

The entrance tickets are cheap. It has a good amount of rides but I would say it’s for small kids not teenagers. There is a beautiful lake in the middle of the park with peddle boat rides. There is a few waterfalls trough out the park. It’s a nice them park for small kids.

Lines r too long. Fast lane is not even fast lane, its just a shorter lane cause they let half the regular lane and half the fast lane go. And fast lane is the same way as the exit lane.They need more than 1 worker at a ride cause 1 worker taking on/off all belts takes too long. And for being a family friendly park I would assume there should be handicap access on all rides but there wasnt. The park map itself is not even detailed, u have no idea where the rides r at cause they r not even named/identified. And the place itself some rides entrances r hidden there r no signs to direct where the rides r at. And they should upgrade their bathroom my daughter didnt Wana go in the stall cause it was dark green color which made it dark

I’ve been coming to this park for the last 20 years, was there yesterday and I did mention my concerns to a couple of supervisors.Place used to be in pristine condition, saw lots of garbage, especially at the train stations, but the bathrooms are always clean and tidy.Food services need adult supervision, or at least a qualified person. The teens are doing the best they can but are lacking supervision.And the prices are over inflated and quality is bad, which could be better if properly handled.Rides need to be cleaned! Rainbow garden ride had spider webs, leaves and just crud. It was uncomfortable to sit and enjoy and the garden was full of weeds! Also the cars were full of leaves, dust and also spider webs!!!Please do better!!!

I had never been here before and we went on January 1st. It was great! There was probablyess people than most days and my 8yr old got to get on all the rides multiple times. Its a great park that isnt too big and has a lot to see. The walk around is great with some forestry and waterfalls a lake that really makes you feel like youre hiking and not in an amusement park.

It was super cold though.. recommend bringing scarf, beanie, gloves, and 2 jackets. My mom thought it was too pricey for the entrance. But the food I do agree is overpriced. The chicken and waffles was not it...the waffle was weird. The park is also old and the rides are rusty. We went on the ferris wheel and saw rust and spider webs all over it. The workers look like they hate their jobs unfortunately...like bored... Had an amazing experience at the Great Big Boo opening weekend. The food was great, attractions were better & Im so glad theres a local park that caters to Littles like my 1, 3 & 7-year-old. Gilroy Gardens is the perfect place for little ones! The park opened at 10am with a little line of people. Most of the first to get in were headed for the water park. We started with going to our right after crossing the bridge. We were able to go on all the rides with little or no wait time. The rides are perfect for maybe 8 year olds and under. We had lunch at the San Juan Grill. It is a little expensive. Chicken burrito and 20 oz. drink for 16.99. Service was very slow and food was ok. We walked pass the water park which was pretty crowded but it looked like everyone was having a good time. There is a section for little ones under 48 inches to enjoy rides, but there needs to more shade over the little racer cars and the fire engines. In the early afternoon it gets pretty hot in the direct sun. Lots of areas to walk in the shade an enjoy the waterfalls. Definitely returning!Returned a few weeks later and have to say staff is great! My grandson fell while getting on the Garlic ride scraping his knee. The EMT walking the park was near us and patch my grandson right up so we could enjoy the rest of our day.😊

Weve been going to Gilroy Gardens for years and we continue to go, even though my oldest is ten she still enjoys it. The park is really best for kids up to age 10, however with the new expanded water play area I think kids up to age 12-13 will still enjoy. Its very clean and if you go during the week not too busy. We went on a Friday and because school is still in session there were hardly any lines. Employees seemed friendly and helpful. Bags are searched so hide your snacks. We bring a cooler and had lunch right outside the park under the covered picnic tables. However there are plenty of places to buy food if you didnt bring from home. Also check the website to make sure they are open and what time, because days varies.

Some rides were closed. The first restaurant we went to we were the only ones in there. We waited 30 minutes for one funnel cake. The staff was literally standing around day dreaming. I had to remind them of my order. The second place didnt have any forks for their food, told me I could go get one from another restaurant if I wanted to! Again staff standing around and not busy at all. Game tables were not attended by staff, had to go ask for assistance in order to play a game. Staff seemed very unmotivated and not very happy. We took our daughter and 2 grand daughters on a Saturday. It was a beautiful day, and we were expecting to have a wonderful time. We were appalled to pay $15 to parking in addition to the pricey entrance fee. The first thing we encountered was a small petting zoo...at an additional fee! It was a very warm day, yet the water park area was closed, as were quite a few other attractions. After waiting over an hour for the paddle boats, we came to a food stand. I understood that prices would be high, but $16 for mini corn dogs is RIDICULOUS!!! No wonder every food venue, was deserted. The management obviously would rather gouge the customers than provide any affordable family fare. Do they not realize how much more they could earn from increased sales as opposed to standing idle?? Next time we visit our children, we wont be going to Gilroy Gardens unless these inane policies change. Current Premium member and I was really disappointed with how the renewal promotion was run this year. We renewed our membership on December 21. The advertisement said renewed memberships would receive a $30 dollar voucher each to use in the park. Great, we can use these to buy their not very good, but kids will still eat it pizza! Except they dont explain until you pay for the renewal that the voucher expires on December 31, 2023. We literally had less than 2 weeks to visit again and gain any benefit from these vouchers. Super fun family park! Great rides and environment. BUT we traveled from San Francisco for today’s Easter Egg Hunt event & it was horrible! It seemed organized but actually wasn’t that organized in the end. A lot of kids including my baby 1 year old nephew was not able to get any eggs. We were waiting for 1 hour for nothing! There were too many kids and adults going to get eggs at once. If you weren’t in the first row, there’s nothing left for you to get. They should’ve only allowed the kids to go by themselves or with one parent. And maybe for 10-15 seconds for each round so it’s fair for every kid. I even saw a couple having a BOX of eggs and no kid with them 😡. So, next time my family is skipping the Easter event or any other event. Not worth it. I recommend you and your family to continue to ride or rides instead.

This rating is just based on the time Im there for my kid during Easter Sunday. The organized egg hunting was very unorganized to say the least. The scheduled time was at 2pm but was pushed to 2:30pm. However, they told ppl to head over at 1:30pm even though it isnt fully set up. There were 3 age groups but there were no lines. People lined up randomly around the area and when it is time to go, everyone rushed in. Parents were allowed so all I saw were adults picking up the eggs and I couldnt even put my kid down to hunt for them. By the time we went over to the other side of the field, there were nothing left. My kid didnt even get a single egg. The time wasted couldve been used on rides instead. Unless you are there early, dont waste your time cause it was dangerous for kids. Park is not bad for little kids and the highlight is one of the toddler rides where the controller was very enthusiastic.

This place is just awesome! Ive actually never heard of this place tell a friend of mine told me about it. We make about 6 trips out here a year and my three-year-old son loves it. This park is beautiful and very very well maintained. Disneyland could take some pointers from these guys they do an awesome job. There are rides for little ones and some rides for some older kids. The only drawback I see it this place if the food is not very good and in my opinion expensive for Park food. This is a theme park for younger kids. I personally think it was best for my then 4 year old and our 7 year old. The water oasis with the ability for the kids to get m soaking wet and splash in the water was the best part during the summer months. I like th learning exhibits just so that I could teach them some cool stuff while having fun. The monarch butterfly exhibit was smaller than I thought but the garden area with the waterfalls were nice. The food and beverage places, like at all theme parks, was expensive with food and beverage costing about 3x-4x what you would pay at a store. Staff was friendly across the park. I would recommend this to other families for a good day trip as it opens around 11AM and closes ar 5PM. This give enough time drive down and then leave early enough to grab dinner before getting the kids to bed.

This place is adorable. If youre a local and planning on visiting more than once a year, i highly suggest getting the membership. Worth all of the discounts you get for sure. Practically pays for itself in one visit if you get food.They do have a lot of accommodations for people with disabilities, i can say that. This is a great place for todlers. As for eating, you want to avoid The Wok Chinese food. Lovely amusement park with plenty to do for every age group. My kids being 2 & 3 had a blast in the kiddie area and my son absolutely loves the roller coasters. It felt like a small Disneyland in a lot of ways. It is not a bad drive, however, the park closes at 5 pm so getting home, to the valley, during rush hour wasnt ideal.They didnt open until 11 am so we had to cram a lot of stuff into the 6 hours of operation and there were things we couldnt do because we didnt get to them in time.It was a very fun trip and we probably could have gotten to everything if our kids were a bit older. This is a decent amusement park. However, it’s an old park with older equipment. The biggest issue I have, is that their rides all require a lot of manual labor for the safety systems. Specifically, an employee needs to manually lock and unlock the doors and seatbelts of every passenger. This leads to it being an extremely slow process to get on and off rides. If they doubled the number of attendants at a ride, this would of course speed up the process. But they don’t. Which means that on busy days, you don’t get to do much.The nice aspect of Gilroy gardens is that there is a lot of shade provided throughout the park through natural means (trees and shrubs), and through structures (umbrellas, pergolas, etc.)There are food options here, all somewhat expensive. Of course, at least there are shaded areas to eat.The water park gets crowded on busy days.There are a variety of rides for a range of age groups, which has pros and cons. Can satisfy a range of ages (great), but if you have kids of different ages they will want and only be allowed to go on different rides. Single parent with multiple kids of multiple ages will struggle to satisfy everyone.

We have the yearly membership pass of Gilroy gardens. This is a fun place for kids below 5 years of age. They have almost 15 rides including carousel, trains, etc. park is big but doable in 4 hours with your toddler. Every ride has height limits so make sure to checkout if your kid qualify.Good is very expensive inside, but you only carry 1 tiffin box. They check at the entrance and dont allow extra.Halloween and Christmas decor is worth the visit with kids, so yearly pass make sense. Also parking without the pass is $25 which is expensive.Get the normal pass and upgrade it in Aug to get 1.5 years of benefits.You can take friends on Friday for free (max 2). Gilroy gardens for sure is an easy place to go to as a family who have kids 15 and under. My kids are 8 and under and during the summer the water park is very fun and worth it to me because adults can follow thier kids and pretty much enjoy a regular park and play set with the kids only with allot of water! Cabanas are available for like 200. They have a fan in there that helps when the heat going however it’s not necessary if you go there early enough and get some chairs. Think of Legoland without the Legos.. Very beautiful park. As a crazy plant lady, I could frequent this place. Its absolutely for young kids. So much so that my 7yo was too big for some of the rides. I have an hour of time to wait in line for the next small ride so I can write this review. Lets start with something nice. The gardens are well shaded mostly and the scenery is very beautiful and quaint. It looks like the flora is still well tended. As for the rides, they are mostly small for kids under 6 and have wait times of up to an hour. Ride operators are slow to load and always prioritize a fast pass customer so they are twice as long as they appear in terms of people waiting for the rides. Some of the rides have very few cars on the track as well so that makes things slower. Food for kids is not allowed in the park and food options are super expensive. Overall, its probably worth a visit once but isnt sustainable as a frequent visitor option.

My kids of 6 and 10 love it here. There really isnt anything not to love. I always tell people: having kids is like having a second chance at being a kid except.. except this time I can stay out as late as I want and have the money to buy whatever makes me happy.🥰The place is strict with bringing in outside food so we normally just buy and eat inside. Ive witnessed some rude employees stopping families and chastising them for bringing food through the bag check.. so beware. Once inside, the employees are young and not as professional as you would like for a kids play park but its ok, we just dont interact with them at all. The rides are fun, the water area is awesome. Its all geared pleasantly towards 3 years old and up. Bring your own towels and bathing suits, goggles, and sunblock to avoid the expensive prices of buying them inside.We come here once a week during the summer (with the gold pass and parking pass) and lounge around. We are weekday visitors so theres hardly a crowd. Our visit normally lasts for about 6 to 7 hours and is always fun, memorable, and pleasant. Highly recommend for weekday fun! Just dont go on days warmer than 90. 🫠

Julian was extremely helpful, very polite and well mannered so was Angelic, Fabian helped and made sure we made it to our seats safely…A few others but I didn’t catch their name…: . I will say that people can be people but on this occasion 90% of the employees were super helpful and professional… Kindness goes a long way as well as good customer service…. We love visiting this park and will continue to visit…. I highly recommend bringing the family here . Be kind and they will be kind back…: 4.5 /5 experience I rather use my electric chair Vs a wheelchair park is kinda large to be pushed or wheeled around … Thank you to all the Staff & employees but special shout out and Thanks to Julian…. THANK YOU!!!!

Great for family trips with kids! Buy your tickets in advance. Its $25 cheaper than getting it by the gate.

So much to see and do with rides, water features and beautiful gardens! Would have been 5 stars, but being open only 6 hours a day during the week in the summer just isnt enough time! As a visitor from out-of-state with one chance to visit the price was a little high for such a short day!
