They did an excellent job making sure we were comfortable and safe on bikes that would ultimately help us cover 28 miles touring the beautiful backroads of Sonoma! They shared ideas of what wineries to visit and where to get an awesome lunch!!! Definitely worth it.

Thank you for the amazing kayak and bike trips. Raphael led amazing tours on both and customized to our activity levels. Very protective of our large group and ensuring all made it thru all levels. Enjoyable to talk with and clearly is passionate about his job and meeting people. Will definitely come back and go to them!

The staff was very friendly and helpful, they took their time to explain all the possible routes. The equipment felt like new and was very well maintained, we had no issues with the bikes. Will definitely be going back, very reliable company and service

Randy was very accommodating when my husband and I reached out from Colorado about creating our own 3-day bike tour. He made suggestions regarding our travel itinerary that we would have never know about on our own.We flew into San Francisco then took the Sail and Rail Randy suggested to get to Healdsburg. This worked out wonderfully as we prefer not to rent a vehicle when traveling. The ferry experience was novel for us and the train we took for the final leg was super clean and brand new.All the lodging selections were amazing and super top notch---from the decor to the excellent customer service. The bikes were in good condition and they took care to ensure that we had all the necessary tools to adjust the bikes on the fly and take care of any mechanicals/flats.Wed highly recommend Getaway Adventures/Wine Country Bikes! They really do care about creating a personalized experience and treating their clients right. You wont be disappointed.

Had a great trip and folks here were extremely helpful. The person who helped us warned us about which roads were better and less traveled. Bikes were in great condition and perfect for the hills. Ride to Bella Vineyard was about 12 miles one way, but very scenic. Our ride, which included lunch at the general store (great food), went from 9:30am to 4:00pm at a casual pace. Daily rate was affordable. Highest marks!

Great place to rent bikes for tooling around Dry Creek / Russian River Valley wine areas. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Maps / directions provided based on various riding abilities, including winery locations along each route. Helmets included in rentals. Showers available for after your ride if your hotel is too far away and you want to head straight back out to the wineries.

We had a great experience. Staff went above and beyond. Calin was so nice and helpful. Bikes were in great shape and good quality. We did the recommended route for 25 mile out and back self guided and it was perfect. Little traffic, beautiful scenery. We visited Preston farm (which was not one of their recommendations) and it was our favorite. Great little farm that really understands biodynamic and mixed crop production.

Our wine country bike tour with Jay has been the highlight of our vacation the last 3 years. The first two years we toured Dry Creek, this year Jay took us to the Russian river. We have yet to repeat a vineyard. They provide easy to ride hybrid bikes complete with water bottles and a wonderful lunch. Jay is very knowledgeable about the local history of wine making.This is the very best way to see wine country. We hope to continue the tradition in years to come.

Absolutely the best vacation ever. Wine Country Bikes staff are experts. They know the bikes and the bike routes; they know the towns and the wineries; they know the restaurants; they know the hotels. They lend that expertise to their customers in a friendly and helpful manner. Always willing to go the extra mile to help make your tour fabulous. We custom-designed a seven day, two person bike tour of Sonoma and Napa. Our luggage was always waiting for us in the next hotel room when we arrived. One of their drivers picked us up at our finishing hotel and took us to the Sonoma County Airport. In short, our experience with Wine Country Bikes far exceeded expectations. This is the company you should work with when planning a bicycle vacation in Californias wine country.

We had one of the best days today! Great service this morning and were told that we needed to return by 5:00pm by very kind gentlemen who helped us with bikes in the morning. At 4:45pm when we arrived back to the bike store to return bikes, women was very upset we were not there at 4:30 because she claimed they were closed then although we were told 5:00pm and he website also states this.

The service itself was fine HOWEVER; to get to all of the wineries is major semi dangerous roads! When booking a bike in “wine country” this is just not what I think of.Additionally the say they have roadside assistance, which we thought meant that they might be able to pick us up if we couldn’t handle it... nope. No they don’t pick you up! Just be prepared when renting: we weren’t.*** this is where I left a 3/5 Star review- annnnd below is what happenend when we brought the bikes back********* update!!! We came back and immediately the owner say “hey so I saw you left a 3 star review, what’s up with that, maybe you should open your mind” AFTER THIS POINT WE STARTED TO ARGUE. they said we should’ve asked for their opinion. We told them where we planned on going and they gave us MAJOR HIGHWAYS and the worst route.I would’ve recommend them until we got back. I absolutely DO NOT recommend now. Who asks someone to change a review after they’ve already made it? Stupid.

The bikes were nice for a great price. Just wish they would stay open until 5:30 or 6:00. That way you could take your time riding home after your last tasting (seemed like most tasting rooms closed at 4:30-5:00). We headed back to town at 4:15 and juuust made it before closing.

I rented a road bike for a very memorable day. The staff was helpful and the bike (Trek Madone 2.1) was brand new. The roads are hilly so a good bike really helps a lot to cram more miles in a day trip without feeling exhausted. They had maps and their recommendations for where to stop and which roads to take were dead on.

Where do I begin?! My husband and I visited Healdsburg during our honeymoon this past October, and we had the extreme good fortune to experience a bike tour with Tac of Wine Country Bikes!! The bike tour was, hands down, the highlight of our honeymoon! And it was all because of Tac! He was knowledgeable, fun, and a great tour guide!! When we initially met with Tac, he asked whether we wanted to have a casual ride or get a little exercise. We wanted to experience everything we could, so we opted to get a little exercise. :) We ended up riding 25 miles and visiting 4 wineries. The scenery was picturesque throughout the ride and Tac was a wonderful compliment with his stories and information. If we ever go back to visit wine country, this will be a must do for me and my husband! :) Thanks, Tac!! :)
