Sue was very helpful and mindful of the budget my future finance and I had. She took the time to show us everything that was within our budget and gave us all the details of the pieces we were considering. The staff was nice as well as the ring I ordered. However, I dont feel very valued as a customer. I ordered a ring on the 3rd of February and was told it would be ready the latest the 15th. On the 15th, I called to check if it was in, and then when I came to pick it up, the order slip said it had been there since the 10th, 4 days before valentines Day. I guess my order wasnt very important.

I bought my wifes custom wedding set online. I was apprehensive about picking the center stone because I know nothing about diamonds, grades, etc. They made it very easy by asking what qualities were important to me and worked within my budget for the best results. I’ve had a white gold and diamond bracelet that was too big for my wrist, so it has been sitting in my safe for many years now. I brought it in, and the master jeweler took a look at it, and explained how he could remove two little sections of diamonds, to make the bracelet fit properly, and make a set of diamond earrings with the pieces he removed. It is absolutely perfect! I am so grateful that I can finally wear it. Thank you very much!!!!!

I went in to meet with Sue to get a quote on creating a two diamond ring for my 25th wedding anniversary and casually asked to have my diamond rings cleaned since I was there; thank goodness I did because my wedding ring was in need of repair and it was not safe to wear because the diamond was at risk of falling out! After the intial shock that my original wedding band would be no more, Sue then showed me all the rings available, shewas so sweet and helpful. The rings were all so beautiful, but they weren’t my wedding ring with all the memories and sentimental value. They have lifetime warranty on the stones as long as you keep coming every 6 months to have the rings cleaned and checked. Had a great personal experience buying an engagement ring from there and George himself was very personable and kind. He gave me a great deal working with my budget for something that was over my budget.I would suggest browsing their online site first to find a few rings you would like to see before going in and research GIA grades and color grades of diamonds. So when you go in you have a clue of what youre looking for. Sometimes it isnt the size of the stone that matters, but more the color and clarity that does.

I was very displeased with George Thompson. We had him design a custom ring set for us. The finished product was quite different then the CAD picture they had sent us prior to the ring being made. The quality of the diamonds were not the quality promised by George. We had the ring appraised immediately after receiving and found that not only were the diamonds of lower quality then we were told and paid for, but they were also low quality and not ideal cut diamonds. The entire construction of the ring was tacky, unfinished, and NOT what we had asked for. I learned after the fact that George never attended any type of schooling for jewelry design and it is my understanding that nobody that works at George Thompson has. Additionally, George charged our card $300 more then we were quoted without our knowledge. George did not deny the many defects of the ring when I brought them to his attention and he offered to take off $2500 for the many flaws, or to start over from scratch, however after dealing with him and his company we feel very uncomfortable working with him and would NEVER recommend this business to anyone.
