GeekSquad is a total scam. They hire total randoms who have no idea what theyre doing with tech. Paid $100 to get my a diagnosis on my PC. They told me nothing was wrong, they couldnt replicate the issue (even though I explained what was happening and how to replicate it), and when I got home the PC still wasnt functioning. I could tell their employees had no clue what they were talking about.

I got a tv with Best Buy’s 5 year protection plan and it’s been a nightmare. Best Buy just talks about the manufacturers warranty and what the manufacturer says. The 5 year protection plan has no benefit whatsoever. Tv has needed parts 3 times in less than a year and they’re making me jump through hoops. Also the geek squad techs could just act like they care while on the clock.

THE SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE. I went to get my PS4 fixed there because the fan wasnt starting. When I got there 10 minutes before my appointment time would have ended, they had already cancelled it because someone with the appointment after us came 20 minutes early. I also didnt know that we had to have Geek Squad Protection because it didnt say anything on the website. After we got to the Best Buy, when we were about to leave, the worker told us that we had to have the protection plan instead of telling us beforehand when we got there.

I’ve spent two hours on a remote session with these guys and they didn’t resolve any of my issues and no one called me back. Very disappointed for $200 membership
