I brought in a custom built pc that I could not figure out why it wasn’t working. When I went the first time, they told me what they thought was wrong from a first look free of charge. Then they gave me options of either just diagnosing the problem or diagnosing and fixing the problem (which cost more obviously) with Best Buy replacement parts. They didn’t try to coerce me to buy new parts. I really appreciated that. They called me back 2 days later and my ox was working again. 5/5 would go again if I have any other issues.

Initially, they assured me that my scratched screen was covered by AppleCare, but due to a system outage, they requested I return another day. However, upon my return the following day, they unexpectedly informed me that the damage was not covered and kept me waiting for an extended period.

Im a non-technical guy is this VERY technical valley. I had a pop-up security alert that I cautiously took seriously, and I called the tech support people allegedly at Microsoft. At their request, I downloaded software to share my computers access, supposedly for diagnostic purposes. Ultimately, when the support person wanted me to login to Amazon, I got more suspicious and terminated the call. I called the legitimate Microsoft support people, and frankly, they were worthless. I took my laptop to Geek Squad (with whom I had a one-year contract after buying my computer), and an already busy-associate named Michelle Hudson took her time to confirm the scam, uninstall the software and give my computer a quick check. She also put me at ease with her calm, supportive approach. All good. Okay, you may (fairly) suggest I am naive and borderline stupid...probably some truth there. But non-techies like me learn from these events, AND we appreciate the courteous support from fine folks like Michelle.

So hit and miss! Some real professionals but some clearly look like a rookie out of school who has no idea what he or she is working on. I have visited a couple times and I found that if you have an older car that you can be careless about, this is a good place as its cheaper and they usually have no problem with older cars, older I mean 7+ years.However, if you have newer cars with all the fancy technology, and you baby it everyday and expect techs who would also take care of it, this is not the place. They either have no idea how to work with those tech parts or would not be careful when removing trim etc.

As an older person my computer skills are 25 years out of date. I depend on the Geek Squad to solve my computer problems.

Geek squad did an excellent job of resolving my issues. I was not able to use a sd card reader i had purchased. The Geek Squad representative was helpful, efficient, friendly and knowledgeable. He solved my issue quickly and I left Best Buy feeling happy and that I had been given the help I needed to solve my / GREAT JOB !!!!!

I would highly recommend trying the Geek Squad at this Best Buy in Mountain View. Precious was amazing! Super helpful and respectful. Its nice to come in with an item that doesnt work as well, and then walk out after about an hour and its working better than ever. While at the same time having a human work with you who is happy, and passes on their happiness to you.

Came here to repair a shattered iPhone display as it was more convenient than making an Apple Genius Bar appointment. Youll pay Apple prices as they are a certified third-party service provider, but in return youll receive service that is as courteous and professional as Apples but MUCH more promptly & seamlessly. Highly highly recommended.

I paid to get a receiver installed and the job took a lot longer than they said the quality is bad and also my speakers pop every time i turn my car on. Aside from that there is a small compartment on my center console that no longer closes thx to them and they refused to take responsibility for it.
