This park has been completely updated. It has an awesome space them, which highlights the local community observatory that’s open on Wednesdays. It has a huge disk swing, flush mounted merry go around and a space shuttle to climb on. It’s very cool.

I found them poisoning the gophers with oatmeal and strychnine, so good luck keeping your dog and kids safe. And goodbye hawks, owls and anything else feeding off the gophers.

It’s a great place. Definitely needs a clean up. A thorough once every 3 month cleanup. Clear out all the spider webs, pull the weeds. Wish there were more trees and the bathroom wasn’t up hill. Was too tired to go to the bathroom after walking to it. But otherwise a great little park with no people experiencing homelessness.

This is a very nice place, theres even a middle sized observatory, at least thats what it looks like. The only thing I really dont like about it is that there is a super secure reservoir above the park. Compare it to the Santa Fe Dam & Recreation Area, then tell me why this reservoir isnt a part of the park for citizens to enjoy. Maybe Im tilting at windmills, but it seems to me like a reasonable question.

A nice place to have an afternoon lunch or weekend party. At one of their BBQ pavilions. It offers an observatory, baseball diamonds, basketball courts, and even a BMX locals riding area with jumps. An over all great place for daily fun and weekend activities.

My son plays soccer here and I really enjoy this park . It’s always clean and everyone visiting is always friendly. People are always walking their dogs or jogging . They have nice covered areas for small parties and ample parking . Restrooms are always clean . We really enjoy bringing my son to play here .

I grew up with this Beautiful Park. They have a Observatory and a classic ranch house that is historical. Basketball courts, tennis courts, Baseball field and plenty of picnic tables with BBQ grills. 2 parking lots, 2 restroom bldg.

Great place to celebrate any occasions. From birthday parties to company picnics. There are 2 play areas for the kids, along with he infamous lion waterfall. Just over the field there are two baseball fields across from one another and a full basketball court. There is also a small trail that goes around the baseball fields. There are two parking lots, which means two entry ways to this park. There is also an observatory center there that is open Saturday through su day from 2 p m to 4 p m.

On the map, it looks huge but most of it is fenced and not accessible to the public. The accessible area is nice and green. There are playground and sitting areas. Good for jogging and exercise.

Great Place to host parties or family reunions! The area isnt very crowded and cost about $180 to rent it out. The restrooms could be renovated and improved, but other than that its a solid park to spend a great peaceful time with your loved ones!

Awesome, place to do walks, and get togethers ( parties). Love how there is parking every time we are at the park. Pet friendly, even if its leash on. It makes us feel 7 everyone seems to pick up after their dog, which keeps the park clean.

A rare hidden gem...also home to the Los Astronautical Society every Wednesday from 7 to 10 pm. Great place to see celestial objects through an 8 inch telescope on Wednesdays with knowledgeable and uber-friendly people ... Ample parking. The childrens play area is being added/remodeled...now theres a rocket ship double slide!! Not completed yet...as are the refurbishing of the picnic area with the gazebos. But observatory definitely open to public on Wednesdays.

Great small Park to just walk around and enjoy the scenery. Theres a museum and a observatory that is open to the public. The playground and baseball field and basketball courts are really nice. Glad they added the fences for the basketball courts because the balls would fall down the hill. Good amount of dogs that walk around with their owners if you want to socialize your dog. Baseball field gets pretty packed with games starting from Junior leagues to high school leagues.Parking can be a hassle since its a limited amount and you may have to park on the streets. There is also tennis courts at the top of the hill that you can park as well. Some of the trails have a lot of weeds and can be difficult to go through sometimes but just follow the paved roads.

By far, this is my favorite park to bring my son to. It is very clean and well cared for. Most of the times, especially between 1230-2, the park is empty and we get to enjoy the playground area without having to wait. The weekend is a different story, the park is very busy. Families barbecue and have parties, so it can be quite difficult to have any uninterrupted space. There is also a basketball court and baseball field for people to use, as well as a museum that is only open on the weekend.

This is a nice quiet park that takes you away from the hustle and bustle of the city life! Theres a decent walk way where you can walk around with a giant base ball field thats open. The play ground is ok, not the best. Its a very good park if you want to have a picnic, theres tons of tables open and a lot of grassy area that is nice to sit around.

Very peaceful, private park. They have two playgrounds, basketball courts, a rec center, and a huge, I mean HUGE field.At night its nice and bright so it made me feel very safe, taking the kids there to play and practice soccer. Restrooms are open late too!

On its worst days it still a beautiful park, well kept, and spacious. The best days is when you have this place to your self for meditation and to collect your thoughts. I lived here long enough to experience the low population of visitors before it became over crowded with a variety of activities. Not a complaint, that is what a public park is for.I will surely miss this place if I ever decide to leave.

Quiet and small park with a baseball field and also a newly renovated basketball court. The courts are great, with even ground but can often be crowded with many people playing. There is also a tennis court up the hill. Several kids playgrounds to play in and a small barbecue area for parties. However, the park definitely needs more lighting outside of the base field field.

Great park...lots of open space for activities and also a walking path along the park. It has an area for picnics, playground with swings, two baseball fields and a basketball area. Great place to walk your dog. There are many people playing Pokemon Go. Grab your favorite Pokemon shirt and or hat and make you way to the park!

Garvey Ranch Park is a very quite, peaceful place to visit with friends and family or by yourself. A awesome walk path. Clean bathrooms opening at 6 am closing at 11pm Baseball diamond and newly Bibi basketball court. Also, state of the art telescope open to the public.

There is a little Monterey Park History Museum inside of the park. I lived in San Gabriel Valley more than 30 years. It surprised my in a good way. Learn a lot of the local history with Museum Curator in the short 30 minutes. The museum business hour is kind of odd. Saturday and Sunday only from 2 PM to 4Pm.

Great little park in Monterey Park.They used to do dirt bike races in the 40’s. Next to reservoir.Has two baseball fields. Two children playground areas. Town museum that has models of all the California missions. Even has a working observatory you can use to see the sky Wednesday nights. Great area for having parties. 2 gathering areas. This park is super busy on the weekends. The local residents use this park for exercising to the full extent. Tai Chi, brisk walks, power walkers, joggers, and runners all enjoy the mountainous terrain. In the bowl area of the park are 2 baseball diamonds. Ages 9/10 and 11-14 can play. The parking lots are on the West side and the East side. Goodluck with the parking. A handicap plaque would be helpful.

A good size local park in the hills of city of Monterey Park. It has 2 entrances with parking one on the east side the other on the west. Its highlight is probably the historic telescope Observatory. It also has a small basketball court area behind the observatory, a playground, and 2 baseball fields with dirt diamonds and a grass outfield connecting them. This park is also a great place to play Pokémon go it has 7 pokestops and one gym for the game.
