Although I dont often write reviews, Dr. Garen Derhartunian certainly deserves one. This place treats you like a VIP from the moment you walk-in the door until you leave. Since Dr. Derhartunian first opened his Glendale clinic, I have been a patient, and I have watched it flourish because he is genuinely passionate about his work as a physician. In addition to being professional, Dr. Garen Derhartunian is also a good listener. He was never rushed, always giving you options and a clear explanation of everything you needed to know about whats going on your body.I will undoubtedly remain a patient for the rest of my life and keep recommending him to others.

Love coming into EHG. Their office is always clean, their staff is always polite and helpful, and they do it all! Book online or over the phone. Have your patient portal online to access your medical record. Get your vaccinations and labs done all at the same place. Dr. Derhartunian is knowledgeable, answers all questions and concerns, takes time to talk to you, has great patient rapport, speaks to you in terms you can understand and won’t judge you if you’ve consulted with Dr. Google beforehand. He cares about his patients and you can tell! And I cannot leave out the fact that EHG accommodated my family. I have a lively 1.5 year old with no child care that cried most of the appointment and Dr. Derhartunian and his staff did not once make me feel uncomfortable about it. I also travel 30 min to see Dr. Derhartunian but it’s worth the travel!

He is also connected to well known specialists. He is very easy to talk with, and has a great sense of humor. Overall, it was a great first experience. It was a very clean and put together office. Not like the common all of the place offices I’ve been to. Everyone was professional and polite. I was in and out in about an hour. Doctor came it and was to the point. I was referred to Dr Derhartunian by a family member. My initial registration was online and painless. This saved time being exposed in the waiting room. I got there on time and within five minutes they helped to complete the rest of my registration using an iPad. Another five minutes and I was taken to an exam room with the nurse checking my vitals. Not even five minutes after he was done Dr Derhartunian walked in. This was amazing. My previous doctor of over thirty years routinely kept me waiting for at least an hour each time I visited him. I appreciate the good doctor respecting his patient’s time.The purpose of my visit as a new patient was to have a full physical. The doctor spent quite a bit of time asking a lot of questions and answering questions. There was no rushing me or taking shortcuts. He was extremely thorough. In fact he focused on a couple of areas that my other doctors had completely missed. He ordered a few different test and also radiology. I will be seeing him once the results are in when I will provide an update to my review.As far as my first impression is concerned, Dr Derhartunian got a five star for himself, the organization, the front office, time management and the technology he uses.If I were to make any suggestions for improvement I would recommend training the person who answers the phone to say something like “You have reached the Elevated Medical Group. How may I help you? When I called a couple of times to make an appointment the person just answered the phone and said NOTHING. Very awkward. I wasn’t sure I called the right people.

Dr. Derhartunian is a marvelous physician. He listens intently and assesses symptoms with precision, all the while conveying his wisdom and advice in terms readily understandable. When an X-ray is called for, as was the case on my recent visit, he sets it up immediately and it is there in the same suite of offices waiting to be had. Sergio, the technician, is extremely professional as well, and Marina, the nurse technician who took vitals and drew the blood for blood work was remarkably warm and equally professional. The entire experience was superb, comforting, uplifting and pleasant. I truly feel blessed by the care offered by Dr. Derhartunian and his group.

I have been going to them for 3 years and won’t go anywhere else!Doctor Derhartunian and his office Staff are very cordial and professional. My Appointment was never rushed. Doctor Derhartunian offers tele-health via telephone which is a great option during these hard times of COVID-19. Appointments are very easy to schedule via telephone or the patient portal.I didnt have to wait a long time to be admitted. I trust Doctor Derhartunians decisions. Doctor Derhartunian Explained conditions well. Office environment is very nice. Dr. Derhartunian spent time to make sure I received a thorough exam and followed up on lab results.Doctor Derhartunians office is equipped with a laboratory. They have a nurse dedicated for drawing blood and x-rays. I would like to thank Miss Marina who is doctor Derhartunians nurse in getting my necessary authorizations from insurance on time. I have not experienced any difficulties with the referrals, Thank you for helping me.When caring for patients, doctor Garen Derhartunian strives to help them understand their medical condition, course of treatment, and preventative measures. Dr. Garen Derhartunian is fluent in Armenian and English.My last visit with Dr. Garen Derhartunian was via tele health. As always he is very pleasant, knowledgeable and offered a few different options for treatment of my health conditions. Typically, doctor Derhartunian does not rush our appointment and ends the call with do you have any questions for me? I Highly recommend doctor Derhartunian. I am very satisfied with Marina Tovmasian who is doctor Derhartunians nurse. She has obtained all of my necessary medical authorizations on a very timely manner. In fact, I needed a rush appointment with an ophthalmologist in a facility in Pasadena that I could not get an appointment with but Ms. Tovmasian was able to make the medically necessary appointment with the ophthalmology center much sooner that I expected. All the staff who work at doctor Derhartunians office are very caring and nice individuals. They always treat the patients with utmost respect and courtesy. I highly recommend Ms. Tovmasian. Garen is my doctor after watching his commitment to his practice, patients and quality of life. Hes a joy to be with, his bedside manner is superb and he likes his patients and wants the best for them. Hes a true advocate, practical and matter of fact. The way me and my husband, Mike, came to him was visiting a dying patient at Verdugo Hills Hospital, and Garen was there. Our friends Rod and Robin Dorman couldnt speak highly enough about the care and commitment Garen provided. Roll forward, I forgot I had met him, when he was referred to us by the same friends. My husband had a major heart attack during COVID, so we called Garen. What a great experience! All I have to say is done, hes my doctor. BTW - he probably is a lousy golfer, just saying.

Dr. Derhartunian provided excellent care for my mother, while she was in Glendale Adventist Hospital rehab after a stroke. He spent time kindly and patiently talking with us and sorting out the medications that were causing my mother side effects (which her primary care physician had prescribed and never bothered to follow up with). Dr. Derhartunian is a bright young man and perhaps the most conscientious and caring doctor Ive ever met.

It is hard to review a doctor who has gained five star on few trending platforms. It is much harder to write about the essence of treatments and personal attention one gets from him with no time limitation insight.Dedication and attentiveness are visible characteresis of him when trating you. The prompt followup, in depth knowledge of your history, diagnosing what matters to you will impress you the most.He is a MD, but in practice he embodies multi decipline approach with vast array of perseptive exploration, wisdom and sole searching that would leave you impressed.There is no short cutting or time limits in his sessions. He literally becomes a probe with a single mission to determine the root cause of what is bothering you.The sessions are in parts social, medical, investigative, and meditative to fully diagnose the symptoms and offer remedies to subside the pain.It is hard for me to judge other professionals I have been treated with before simply because there is no commonality with any of them. His uniqness is incomparable.

Absolutely terrible, complete fraud. These people will never stop billing you. Since January 2017 I have received more than 7 past due bills to my home for an annual checkup I had in August 2016. This bill has been PAID IN FULL. I have been on the phone with Blue Cross (my insurance provider) on more than 7 occasions to confirm that full payment was received and to rectify the situation with Dr. Derhartunians office. Blue Cross has flat out told me that Dr. Derhartunians office is blatantly disregarding the fact that the bills have all been paid and that they are practicing shady activities. Blue Cross has personally sent me paper confirmations that the bill has been paid in full and they have spoken to Dr. Derhartunians office each time Ive had to call them, and each time Blue Cross calls Dr. Derhartunians office, his office swears that they will finally remove me from their billing system. Not so: I just got off the phone with them (August 18, 2017) and they are once again (I believe this is threat #8) threatening me with a past due bill! I informed them that this is completely inaccurate and that they received payment a year ago, and this was breaking news to them. SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE AND DO NOT VISIT THIS DOCTOR OR ANY OF HIS ASSOCIATES. Im at a loss as to what to do and I may have to take legal action if they do not finally listen. I wasnt going to write a bad review but this was the last straw for me and I want to warn all others out there that you could find yourself in this very same situation if you visit Dr. Derhartunians office.
