Just happened to be in the area and saw this little gem was near by. This being or first visit, our first impression was seen from the parking lot entrance. This was an underwhelming spot to first see the garden because it offers a limited view, and this being early spring, very bare. If we had entered from the street, it would have been so much more grand! This place is extremely well kept and packs a lot in a small footprint. The Japanese garden is beautiful. The cascading fountain at the street entrance sets you up for how special this place is. Parking is free in the small lot and there is no entrance fee. Bathrooms are wheelchair accessible and clean. The entire garden has paved paths for access as well. The staff are friendly and welcoming. A definite stop to recharge your spirit and relax for a bit!

Beautiful gardens for a nice stroll. There are several styles of gardens and each is uniquely beautiful. The rose gardens were gorgeous this past week and the koi in the Japanese gardens look bigger than ever! The gardens are meticulously maintained and though they are huge, they are always worth the trip.

This was a calm and peaceful way to spend some time in Thousand Oaks. There are several different gardens with different themes along with plenty of places to sit and relax. There are some picnic tables as well so you could bring your lunch here and eat in peace and quiet. We were visiting the area and looking for things to do when we found this place, it was nice to slow down and not be accosted by sirens and car horns!

What a delightful gem!Randomly passed by while in the area for the first time with time to kill and decided to check it out and loved it!The garden and parking is free. The loop is 1/4 mile so it’s not a huge garden but is so charming and lovely.

One of the most beautiful gardens in the area! If you are a foreigner or fancy international gardens this is the place for you. Also it’s 100% free!

I really enjoyed the gardens. They were beautiful in winter, so I can only imagine what they look like in Spring. The place was just big enough for people who want a break from a long drive, or just for a nice picnic. Its very well maintained. The docents were very friendly and informative.

Do not go here if you dare to go off the trodden path, adventurous souls will not find solace here. Was kicked out for simply walking on a dirt path. If your okay with following the 30+ rules the garden has to offer, herd in the garden with the rest of the sheep in there.
