Went to Fronk’s for Taco Tuesday with my husband and son. The asada tacos were good. The beans were a little runny, but good. My son and husband liked the fries.

Ive been to fronks a couple of times, and the food never disappointed took my mom for a pre mothers day lunch, and it was amazing. The bartender who had to be our waiter too was very pleasant, friendly, and attentive to us. We ordered the 3 wise mens dish, which included pork hot links, baby back ribs, and we got 3 sides with that sweet potato fries, Mac and cheese, and Battered corn on the cob. My mom had a refreshing wild berry lemonade, and I had an ice tea. The restaurant was clean, and the rest of the staff was friendly and helpful. The bathrooms could be a little better.

My visit to Franks Restaurant in Bellflower left much to be desired. Despite arriving around 1:00 PM on a Saturday when the place was virtually empty, the service was lackluster. While our drink orders were promptly taken and served, the wait for our food was unnecessarily long, especially given the sparse crowd.To add insult to injury, when the food finally arrived, it was a letdown. I ordered the cheeseburger macaroni and cheese, which lacked flavor and arrived significantly later than everyone elses meals. The burger was overcooked and resembled a charcoal briquette. My wifes beer-battered shrimp tacos were a mixed bag; out of the three tacos, only one actually had beer batter, while the rest were rubbery grilled shrimp.Even my nephews ribs, which should have been a highlight, were underwhelming. He barely touched them after the first bite. Overall, every dish fell short of expectations, making the hefty bill of $370 feel like a punch in the gut. With only a couple of drinks purchased, the value for money was simply not there.Despite the hype surrounding Franks Restaurant, our experience fell far below expectations. Unless significant improvements are made, I wont be returning anytime soon.

With regard to the front of the house, if you go and Val is your server, youre in great hands.Lemon drop was very well made. Its unfortunate they ran out of both Chambord and St Germain.The mixed berry lemonade was extremely tasty and plentiful!As a lifelong lover of onion rings, these were made perfectly! The french fries were made from fresh potatoes, my fault I didnt request they be extra crispy. The medium well patty of my blue cheese grilled mushroom burger was sublime.The fried pickles were Spears for the first time for me today. The combination of crunch and salt was perfect!The grilled shrimp 🦐 were precisely cooked and superbly seasoned. They were supposed to be inside the red sauce wet 1lb. burrito (which my mother thoroughly enjoyed) so the discount given in lieu of not remaking the burrito was greatly appreciated. And it gave me the opportunity to taste the shrimp that would otherwise not been available to be shared. Stellar customer service from Val! Would have been 5 stars if not for the back of house.As for the back of the house during a pandemic you need to keep your hygiene up a lot better. I informed the bartender there was no soap in the womans bathroom. Went back to my seat and waited 10 minutes and they still hadnt replaced the soap. 😒 Unacceptable. 4.5 stars

I have been a fan of Fronks since they were located at their original little cozy location. It was introduced to me by my brother when we lived in Bellflower. The customer service has been top notch even back then. I would often see the owner greet customers, check in on customers and just provide an overall comfortable environment - it was great to eat at Fronks.Fast forward to their beautiful location on Bellflower boulevard. I see a lot of the same especially in terms of tasty (really TASTY) food. I love their BBQ menu items but yesterday I realized how delicious their sweet potato fries were!Me and my partner ordered: a half slab of ribs, pulled pork with sausage plate (with sweet potato fries!) And a Maple bacon cheeseburger with bacon cheddar fries.Delicious. The food was fresh, warm and just overall great quality. The customer service? Which I feel is a huge part of the experience was amazing as well. We often had servers check in on us or give us refills whenever they saw our drinks low. They asked us if we needed anything often. It really took me back to the essence of Fronks and it felt great.Its also a great place for sports! They have amazing sports decor, a bar and the service translates perfectly to the bar staff.We watched the Dodgers a couple years ago and even though they lost to the cheating Astros it was very bearable because of the delicious Fronks food!

We come here about once a month. They have really good food and drinks. I usually get their burgers but I decided to try the shrimp and chicken skewers this time. They were SO good. I will be getting them again! Parking around there is decent, and the outdoor seating is really cool. 4 stars because the waiters that Ive had are OK, not great, sorry to the ones I havent had. The bartenders are usually very cool!!

Had a great experience! Our server was great, she had the big eye lashes. She answered our questions about the menu and came by before we ran out of drinks! I ordered the chicken sandwich w fries. These sweet potato fries were especially tasty; thicker than the fries I’ve had before with a complimentary seasoning that was both sweet and savory.For dessert, we ordered a small brownie w scoop of ice cream. It came out—brownie really warm, cold ice cream and a ton of whipped cream. Easily fed two people with some left over. Great portions and felt comfortable, especially with all the caution we’ve been having to take this last year .

Came to the restaurant 1/6 with my family. Initially the visit was going great. Everyone was welcoming. The food nonetheless did not meet our lowest expectations. After spending over 100$ we expected better. The carne asada was not tender or seasoned, the pork for the nachos was chewy and they didn’t season that either. This was our first time here, we live in the areas. Definitely our last time visiting. A waste of money.

Great service. We sat in the covered patio area because there was a D.J. inside and the music was LOUD ( but he was spinning good music) it was lunch time so it wasnt crowded. The food was good and they had good sized portions. You could definitely taste the liquor in the cocktails.

Re-reviewing this place for the Mexican food. Its actually 2 stars for the Mexican food. We tried the asada burrito and the tacos. It was a mistake, the asada has what tastes like mole. I love mole but thats not what is described. The tacos were plain, the chicken meat was tasty but didnt make up for the plain taco. The fish taco... Id describe it as a fish stick in a tortilla. The asada was okay, but not enough for me to ever order again. Id suggest for them to stick to burgers and the other specialty items like the sweet potato fries.

This is the quintessential burger place. Classic fries, sweet potatofries -nicely seasoned, ribs, pulled pork, chicken skewers, bacon and Bleu cheese salad, fried shrimp, BBQ shrimp. Really good food, great atmosphere.Outdoor seating, heat lamps, beer variety. Fun!!! Go.

To start, $20 for 3 TINY shrimp tacos is robbery. Asked for my burger Medium Rare, It was medium well at best. Asked for multiple drinks off of their menu and was told they could not make them because they didnt have the needed ingredients. The music they played was all music from the early 2000s, which is usually fine, but the song selection was objectively terrible. The DJ shows up at 9. Dude really was the best part of our night. The music he played was old school and funk. Mixed the music well and his entire vibe was just over all positive. Its an ok place if youre in the area. We wont be coming back though. There are multiple other places to check out a block up the road.

Met up with some friends last Week first time there is was super fun, the staff so friendly, the bartender mixing some specialty drinks, atmosphere was very chill and the food was delicious. Around 10 pm the DJ was playing some jamming music we were up dancing we had a blast!!

A place of delicious mouth watering hamburgers. Ive had The Bull burger and it was tasty and juicy topped with a fried egg, you cannot beat that. This most recent trip I decided to try the Pulled Pork Mac and Cheese and that plate was to die for. Along with a great selection of beer and a bar area, it is also a great place watch some sports.

I highly recommend the food in this place. Please try their mac ‘n cheese as it is so good! Servings are very generous and good to share. Their pulled pork burgers will give you the meat sweats. The staff were really friendly and accommodating to our needs. This is a sports bar so if you’re looking for something mellow, this may not be the place for you. They have an outdoor patio where it’s nice to stay during the summer (or even winter because they have heaters).

I came to this spot pre-covid and was thinking about it ever since. I wanted to go back, but I just never made it. So I made it a point to go for my birthday this year. It did not disappoint. The pulled pork with mac and cheese is the stuff that dreams are made of. The the peanut butter brownie fudge sundae, AMAZING, my daughter who doesnt even like peanut butter continually doug right in. I will continue to dream of this place, but this time I will be sure to return sooner.

Fronk’s has always been a cool place to have a drink. The menu is pretty diverse and everything [I have tried] is pretty flavorful. Tori was my server during my last visit and she provided excellent customer service with a smile, although everyone here is usually really nice. It wasn’t very busy and I found multiple ppl checking in w me at various times. The beer battered corn w the spicy chipotle dip is my go to! Unfortunately, I already devoured the corn by the time I remembered to take a photo. During this visit I tried The Pulled Pork Sammy and substituted my fries for beer battered pickles. I love pickles so it was perfect but I can see it being too much for some ppl. I typically do not like coleslaw but I wanted to try the sandwich as advertised and I really appreciated the contrast in texture and taste.They have some events taking place here too like karaoke and DJ’s. The food took a long time to receive and was dry. Our server did not serve us whatsoever. Her coworkers passing by provided everything to us since she was to busy talking to people. At one point she sat at the table across from us to chat it up with another worker. The bartender helped us to get more soda, Sauces, containers and even have us pay. We did not tip the serve but instead tipped the DJ. The DJ was the only reason why we stayed and he was amazing. We loved the old school vibes and he really knew how to hype everyone up. Sucks! Poor service, no asada for tacos! Music glaringly sharp, loud almost painful. Off duty waitress sitting across from us practically yelling and her child slapping the plastic advertisements over and over on the table. My wife’s and daughter’s chicken skewers weren’t cook thoroughly enough! We’ve been there a few times before and it was passable but every time it gets worse. The cheese burger I got was $21+ but was advertised on the building for $9+. We felt completely ripped off. A truly lousy, noisy unsatisfactory place to dine.

Its a nice place in the older part of Bellflower. The food is quite expensive for what it is. Its a little over $21 for a hamburger and most other food items.We went at lunch and got a hamburger, chicken strips, zucchini and a beer. It was about $63. The zucchini was very bland and I would not recommend that. The chicken strips were actually pretty good. The burger was also tasty but the sweet potato fries were nothing to do write home about.They have specials on different nights, so those would be the nights to actually go there.

Went to Fronk’s last Saturday and we were told that we would have to spend $35 per person and pay a 20% tip because they had a fight playing on the tv’s. We weren’t interested in the fight so we left. Meanwhile there were two people sharing some fries at a table outside where there was no view of the fight. Obviously they were not spending $35 each. I guess they are only interested in certain kind of customers and pretty ridiculous to make people order more than they are going to eat and give them a required percentage tip. We will not be be back.

I used to visit this location often, maybe about two years ago. I loved the food but the service and quality of food has gone down significantly. Im not sure if it changed management or owner but, the quality of this location has gone down tremendously. First and foremost, I walked in and seen the on floor staff just gathered near the door way, not really attending to or paying any attention to the customers. When we sat, the waitress came to us and asked us if we would like to order. We asked for menus as my mother has bad eye sight and has trouble reading small text on her phone. She brought us the menu, and we ordered quickly. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and my mother ordered the fish and chips. The waitress came to us after about 10 or 15 min and let us know know that they didnt have any fish for two days and she didnt know because she hadnt worked in two days. Now I have worked as a general manager for full service restaurants for over 15 years, and I know that who ever is running service for the day or the onsite manager will always let the staff know if there are any issues or if the menu has changed for the restaurant. Needless to say, I couldnt understand why it took a while to let us know as well as the terrible communication between staff and management. We just ended up leaving. Terrible service.

Came here about 5yrs ago and had a great experience. Came today for my husbands birthday. Today was not a good experience. No one greeted us when we walked in. Lily was our server, she was nice enough. But here are the problems with her. She never came to check on us once, we sat with finished dirty dishes in front of us for 20mins, she brought the check, still not asking about anything, took the check after it was filled out and STILL left the dirty dishes. She needs better training. We had 2 flys annoying us the entire time while eating, landing on food and drinks. THE MUSIC was horrendous, please get a different soundtrack, yikes. The prices DO NOT match the experience and ambiance. Everything was subpar and after today I couldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Management is LACKING big time. Everyone seemed unmotivated. We had reservation on a Friday for a table for 8:15 and the restaurant did amazing seating us on time. Sam was our server and he was one of the best servers i have ever dealt with at any restaurant. So nice, attentive and going the extra mile to make sure everything was up to par. Our food was very good, my maple bacon burger, my wifes turkey burger and our sides were great. If you have older children i would order the adult size cheeseburger since the child burger is served only plain. My kids absolutely loves the speciality ice cream brownie. What a waste of time. Here we are trying to visit an up and coming downtown and we are given horrible service at Frunks in Bellflower. The place was half empty. It was three of us and asked if we could sit in a booth inside. The girls at the front desk said that they could only sit parties of four or more in the booths. Remind you, the place was half empty - I dought they ever get full with this kind of service. I remember visiting the original location 10 years ago a fee blocks away and the owner then was very nice. We even wrote on a dollar bill our names and paste it on the wall of the original location. After being seated along the sidewalk for ~35 minutes, we had not been helped or even given any water! I had to get up and ask the busser where our waiter was. Let me interrupt to say that I understand that places get busy, but do not tell people that the wait time is ~45 minutes if waiters are not ready to assist, soon after seating... After this long wait of about an hour and a half, we finally had our order taken. It was taking a while for our food to be made. I got up once more to ask where our food was, because weve already waited nearly 2 hours total by this point and I figured it was just sitting in the kitchen. They said they would check on it. Our food took about 40 minutes additional, from when we ordered it, to come out. We finished our food and I wanted to pay, our waiter had not come by our table since we began eating. I didnt think he would come by our table again. I walked up to the busser again because I wanted to pay and leave after wasting 3 hours for burgers... They told me theyd send out my waiter, he didnt show up for 15 minutes so I had to ask another waiter if I could pay and gave him my card. They should have been realistic with me and told me there was a 2 hour wait. All of this and I had to pay full price and got no apology or compensation in return. At least give me a damn beer for wasting that much of my time. Loved this place but doubt Ill ever be back.

So the first time I went to this place with my wife at happy hour we really enjoyed the food we got to go. But two days ago I picked up my son from elementary school and decided to give him a treat. Even at a discounted happy hour price of 10bucks it was a waste of hard earned money. The problem I have with places now day isnt that everything is so expensive its that at such a premium price they still turn out lack luster food. Maybe if you go at happy hour and pound down a few drinks anything tastes good. But I dont drink and neither does my wife or our son😊. The citrus grilled chicken breast is soooo flavorful. I usually like to hide the taste of chicken with sauces, but this chicken I would have eaten just by itself...that says a lit for me. RIP to Fronks. I hear theyre under new ownership and boy does it show. I arrived to find the prices had been raised, which I didnt mind because I assumed it coincided with the closing and reopening of their establishment to the pandemic. My sister and I arrived when someone, who was not our server asked what wed like to drink. We started off with water about 10 minutes later our server appeared took our order and pretty much disappeared for the rest of our time there. After placing our order it took 45 minutes for the food to be brought out, only for it to be brought out COLD. The fries were hard and my burger was beyond dry. And from my seat on the patio I anticipated the return of our server who I could see was sitting at the bar eating, preoccupied with the game instead of his table. The other tables were constantly checked on and we were left with empty glasses and at one point I asked another server if I could please order another refreshment through her. We were not checked on, our waters were not refilled, we didnt even receive napkins to clean ourselves with? Then to pay almost 35 dollars for each plate and receive it cold...that was the final straw.In the future should your servers be on break, PASS ON THE TABLE. Dont leave your customers in limbo looking around to other servers to wait on them. I used to love this place. I came from DTLA just to eat here. Good place for food. I had their chicken tenders which were very yummy. Their sweet potato fries were different in a good way. They are cut like a steak fry would be so you get more of the sweet potato taste. Fridays its kareoke night so its fun.

The wait was over 30 minutes to be seated. Then the server and food took so Long! Despite there being 8 servers walking around doing nothing in the empty indoor seating area. (We got there around 4pm and werent out until 6:30pm because of how long it took and it was NOT crowded) Since the original owner sold this place its NOT the same in quality. The food has drastically been downgraded. Im guessing they cheaped out. No more wildberry lemonade, theyre serving the powdered artificial lemonade. When I got the shrimp plate it was so good that was the best shrimp I ever tasted. I also when their for my cousins birthday and he loved it and the waitress told everybody to sing along. My God this place had some great food. Amazing customer service. Generous, borderline gluttonous portions. Their brownie desert is a must... It literally melts in your mouth, chewing is optional (brownie, ice cream, peanuts, chocolate, and whipped cream).For food: Ribs could have been more tender, but flavor made up for any toughness. Sweet potatoe firs could have been thinner and crisper, but flavor and season compensated. Sliders were amazing.No hard liquor, but homemade sodas and craft beers were great.

Fronks has THE BEST soup!! Ive tried their seafood chowder, zucchini cheese, and tomato bacon soup and they are all AMAZING! The chef here is a genius with flavors. Unique and delicious!We love to come at 8pm on a Tuesday or Wednesday and enjoy their happy hour. The deep fried corn on the cob is to die for. All of their fried apps are good - fried pickles, fried zucchini, etc. They even have great ranch!!Their outdoor patio is beautiful in the California winter. SO GREAT!

Cool please to get a burger. The only thing I would have like was if the server had asked me how I liked my burger cooked. It was a little to red for me and the blood and juices just drained all over my plate. The meat was good quality and tasted great especially for the price. Food is always fresh. Definitely love the fried avocado. Parking isnt great so I carpool with friends. There is some street parking but if you go in the evening, you may have to walk a block or two. Staff are friendly and familiar with the menu. They have a good brunch with bottomless mimosas. Outdoor seating is available.

A neighbor gave us a nacho pulled pork and its awesome. Gone here today and ordered the same thing and to my surprise it tasted even better. Its a small but friendly restaurant that has awesome food and friendly servers. Definitely deserves a recognition and I highly suggest going to this place.

Been disappointed in the Frying Nemo quality the last couple orders. Its all we every buy, because when its right, its awesome beer batter crunchiness. Couple times, the batter was sub par to us. Not the same. Other times in between it was top shelf!We understand inflation shrinking the size of the fish pieces but last two trips, the quality of fish, or lack thereof was front and center. Tough, fishy and really small. Not the usual clean flaky fare that has been enjoyed since the days on Alondra and until maybe a month and a half ago on Bellflower.

My husband drove 20 miles to fronks the day before Mother’s Day to get a gift card for my mom. They told him they don’t have gift cards so my husband went and got a visa gift card so my mother can use it for her fronks dinner. He went back to fronks to get a to-go menu or something to put it with the visa gift card for our gift. The guy told my husband they don’t have any type of paper menus. Literally had to jump through hoops to get this gift card that’s non existent.We decided to surprise my mom with dinner on Mother’s Day tonight. The service was awful. The music was so loud it was crazy. You can’t even hear each other speak and we were sitting right next to each other. Is this a club!? Or a restaurant!?We sat for about 35 minutes before i had to get up to find the young hostess to find a waiter. I had to get up again to ask for menus for my family. No one checked on us NO ONE Took our order. The waitress who finally came up to us said “there was a miscommunication with the other employees and she shouldn’t even be helping us”...... what!? Why would you tell someone that. she was rude and not inviting didn’t ask if the food was good or if we needed anything. They were not busy at all. We were there for one hour and 45 min just for some crummy fried americano bar food. The unprofessionalism in this so call restaurant was just beyond ridiculous. This was probably the worst dinner I’ve had out in years. Also you can’t put fish fry batter on everything and think it’s going to taste unique. $160.00 for a really really bad dinner experience.

This place has great food! but since the pandemic it seems like they have had to hire a lot of new staff and some of them are ok but almost all of the hostesses are horrible at thier jobs. They lie about wait times and if youre in the restroom or having a smoke when they call your name thats too bad you missed your spot or theyre just flat out rude and ignor you trying to ask a question until you call them loud enough that the whole place can hear and even then youre lucky if they answer or help you.

On a recent visit with my co-workers, 6 in our party at lunchtime, our food arrived more than an hour after ordering. When we inquired why the party seated next to us AFTER we arrived was getting their food, the reply was that they were getting appetizers (sliders, onion rings, etc). Then we watched as their main dishes were being served: ribs, burgers, pizza, and still we waited another 15-20 minutes to get our order. Our order was nothing out of the ordinary, 3 burgers, 2 nachos, 1 flatbread pizza. We then had to hastily eat our meal without enjoying it, to make it back to work. My whole point to this review is, if you want to cater to a lunchtime crowd, not everyone can afford the luxury of a 2 hour lunch. Luckily our boss was with us, but meanwhile our office had to be closed for 2 hours. As a side note, the place did not seem overly-busy for a Friday afternoon. Next time we may have to re-think our location for our office lunch.

Anyhow if there is anyone looking for a decent burger I would recommend THE BURGER LOUNGE. The kids there make a mean burger cooked medium every single time. If I could give them no stars I would. I made a reservation for Sunday at 5:30pm and arrived 10 minutes early. Multiple table were available upon my arrival, however, my family waited over 25 minutes after my scheduled reservation time to be seated. We were escorted inside to a table near the bar but had to ask the server if she could please seat us outside because the music was so incredibly loud inside that we could not hear each other over the booming base and music. Additionally my 15 year old son, who was with us, has autism and the loud music and base was even more unbearable for him. We explained to the server that our son has autism and asked if we could sit away from a speaker.. She kindly sat us outside. She returned to take our drink order and informed us that she had lowered the volume to the outdoor speakers a tad to accomodate my son. She further explained that if the manager noticed the volume was lower outside, he would proceed to raise it because he wants it loud. Honestly, within 5 minutes the music back to blaring. To make matters worse, our server took our drink order but never returned to take our food order. 20 minutes later we were still waiting to order food. We all became increasingly more uncomfortable with the blaring music and at this point 45 minutes after our reservation time. My husband looked for the server or Manger for service. Manager was MIA and our server was waiting on other tables and was bring out food to parties that arrived much after us. He looked to asked to speak to the manager and was unable to get anyone to help us. Mind you, there was plenty of staff and tue restaurant was NOT full. After finally getting the servers attention, she outright told my husband she was sorry but she had forgotten about us. I refused to stay any longer. My kids and I were miserable. My son could no longer tolerate the blasting music. It is unfortunate that the service and experience was awful. You should be able to be sensitive to those with special needs as a business. You are a restaurant not a night club! Music is great but not at the volume you all were playing it. Autism and other Pervasive Developmental Disorders can make those with the disorder hypersensitive to sound. I am neurotypical, as is my husband and 16 yr old daughter and we ALL felt like the volume and service made our experience at your establishment miserable. DO BETTER FRONKS!!!! We will never come here again!

Seems like its a different experience, then the other times when we went in the past. The pulled pork maccaroni and cheese we ordered was essentially pulled pork on the bottom of the bowl unstirred noodles on the top of it and a glop of melted cheese on the final layer. Both of the hamburger plates my sons ordered had uncooked fries and for the 1st time ever I saw my boys not touch their French fries. The chicken salads I ordered had unseasoned chicken and and season clock a Moly on it it was very bland I only ate a couple bites. Our food was served semi warm and we had to wait an additional 15 to 20 minutes after requesting utensils for the table and by then it was certainly cold. The mango Margarita I ordered was so strong I decided not to drink the 2nd one that I had ordered in advance. Bummer, seems like the passion we used to taste has been diminished to less than fast food.

We had to patiently wait for our server Heyri many times, we would see her go up to the other tables where she was serving refills on mimosas and drinks. We finally ordered our food and beverages after 35 minutes, then we had to follow up and ask on our appetizer after another 30 minutes. & she said, yes, I can check on your appetizer but no one told me you wanted your appetizer before your meal. Shouldve read the most recent reviews cuz the wait was some bull. Over an hour and a half wait and the staff dont care but this my party fault somehow. It was dead, a lot of empty tables. Save your money go somewhere else. The annoying part was when we made reservations they said cool will be about 1/2 hour wait then we went to check when we seen how many empty tables they were and they said they will take care of those with a reservation first then if were lucky theyll take care of us. Shoutout the hostess for being real at the end.
