Ordered brunch with my sister. I got the Baja Omelet. Food was really good but wish I didnt find small piece of hair in it (the servers do have nice beards, so Ill pray it is from that and not somewhere else) and I dont think the table was properly set for us, had dirty utensils (pretty sure its my sisters fault tho cuz she wanted a certain table). Atmosphere is adorable, we dined on the patio and it was very enjoyable. Parking is limited.

What a great place!! Had an early morning appointment nearby & stopped for breakfast because of the great reviews!! It did not disappoint! Excellent service from the staff & the Manager was friendly! Their menu is huge! We had chicken fried steak and eggs chicken cordon bleu. Both were excellent! We especially liked that our English muffins came to the table with whipped butter and jam & each table has their own toaster so you can ensure they are hot and just right👍 Great atmosphere & very clean!

This is a perfect classic American diner. We came here for breakfast after running the LA Marathon the day before, and it hit the spot. The menu has every typical American breakfast situation you could want, and the toasters right in the booths was a kitschy and convenient touch. Service was attentive and the mid-century design vibes were flawless.

I was shopping in Glendale and decided to come in for brunch. It was extremely busy, but as a party of 1, I was seated right away. Everyone was friendly and it had a great atmosphere. I was served immediately and good came out fairly fast for such a bust day.I ordered the calamari which actually was pretty good. The breading was good, a bit crispier than Id prefer. The cocktail sauce was stellar. However, it was extremely chewy, like chewier than youd want calamari to be. And as it cooled off, it got worse. From the beginning, it was hard to bite into it without the calamari coming all out of the breading. Thats how chewy it was. But it was fine while hot.I also ordered the chicken chilaquiles. As mentioned on a previous review, rice and beans had no flavor, but I hoped the chilaquiles would balance it. Nope. Chicken was not seasoned. The sauce was okay and the cheese on it saved it. I added salt, but it was still just not good. I was looking forward to having food to go, but left it. I added hot sauce etc. But it just wasnt good. Im glad the calamari was somewhat good so my entire meal wasnt a waste. If I visit again, Id just get breakfast or a burger. This seems like the kind of place for that. Sad day. Wasted a meal.Again, service was great! Food looked good. Just didnt taste it. Coffee was solid. At checkout, the girl tried to get a manager to offer me a discount, but I declined. I wasnt looking for a discount, just torn on how to tip my server since the food was bad, but service was good.

What a wonderful experience! Food was soo goood. I had the Baja Omelette which has salmon and shrimp. Add some cholula hot sauce and chef kisses. 🥹 the buttermilk pancake was delicious too. Definitely a place to come back.

We loved the restaurant from the moment we walked in the door! We were greeted by the host who was very friendly and took our drink orders which we received right away. The server Jennifer was amazing! Her attention to detail, care to explain the menu options, and quick response time made our experience superb. We also enjoyed the plentiful Tex mex breakfast options as well being able to use the toaster at the table. Will be our new go to restaurant whenever we are in town.

Been coming here for years and the food portions and service is outstanding. However, they recently changed their menus to a picture based menu without any prices listed. The waitress told me that I had to go to the website to see the menu with prices. What? Who made this stupid decision? As Im sitting here in the booth, other customers around me are asking the waitress the same thing, why are there no prices listed next to the meals. Bad management decision in my opinion. Otherwise, this is a great place to come.

Last night, my husband and I found Foxys on Google search for restaurants in Glendale on our way home from Pasadena. The description of the place sounded good, so we tried it. First time to visit...LAST TIME TO VISIT! We arrived at 8:15, closing time was 9:00. So, we knew we had to order promptly and did! Our waitress was very sweet and helpful. As she served us our salads which come with each sandwich order, the hell began! As we took the first bite of our salads, a waft of cleaning disinfectant fill the whole restaurant! We were taken aback! An employee was already moping the floors for their closing in 1/2 hour with customers still TRYING to enjoy their meals! As the first waft of cleaning smell began to ease up some, ANOTHER waft came slapping us in our nostrils as our sandwiches were served! Nothing like trying to eat a Patty Melt with a nose full of the smell of lysol! I was furious! Usually, I would have gone to the head waitress/owner? to complain, but I just wanted this experience over with! Plus, how was she gonna do anything about the smell at that point. Then, a different employee walked out to our dining area carrying a vacuum cleaner!! He didnt start it, but paced impatiently around it while staring at us as if to say get the hell outta here so I do my job! My husband and I have both been waiters. We a fully aware that as the closing of the kitchen nears, waiters have sides to do or closing cleanup before they can go home! Never were allowed to start moping floors or vacuuming as customers ate! If you ever venture to go to Foxys, never go even an hour before closing. Yelp states that their closing time is 8pm. Googles stated 9pm. We were welcomed at 8:15 by the staff with no problem! If they had indeed closed by 8pm, why did they allow us in? Overall experience was horrible!

This is a busy neighborhood restaurant that has been in Glendale for a long time. It was Sunday afternoon and we wanted breakfast. However the non-breakfast entrees that I saw being served had generous portions and well presented. I had sausage and eggs, hash browns with wheat toast and a side of bacon. My husband had the French toast, scrambled eggs and bacon. We enjoyed our breakfast. The bacon was interesting, it was crispy curled up bacon. We would eat there again. The pricing was good

I understand this has been a long standing place since 1964, but everything about our experience was objectively horrible.The cafe mocha, with a cheap chocolate syrup did not even resemble anything close to coffee or mocha flavor. My partner’s Michelada was extremely watered down.My chicken fried steak was overly salty and unsatisfying. The home fries were horribly bland with no flavor whatsoever.Unfortunately I can’t recommend this place to others - perhaps the nostalgic nature is what keeps people coming back…?

Had the pleasure of checking out this really cool restaurant. The interior makes you feel like you’re in a cabin somewhere cozy and the staff were extremely kind and attentive. Their menu is pretty huge and offers both American traditional and Mexican inspired dishes. We were surprised how much we enjoyed everything and will surely be back. We got there early and by the time we left every table was full and there was a line out the door! Check them out and explore some of their Benedict’s.

This place has a cute nostalgic feel to it, and the decor is straight of the 60s. It’s conveniently across the street from the Americana/Glendale shops.I got the Gringos plate, which was actually pretty good. I’m always skeptical of Mexican food at diners but I enjoyed it. The tortillas were store bought tho, not freshly made.My friend got the country breakfast. Hard to go wrong with the classic breakfast, and the orange juice tasted freshly squeezed!It was disappointing that the syrup was a smuckers syrup cup, and the milk for the coffee was just little milk cups rather than fresh.Overall tho, I’d go back. They have a bunch on their menu, and will definitely find something for everyone.

Amazing interior! Very clean and well decorated. Staff was very attentive, friendly and well dressed. So much variety on the menu (American, Mexican, Italian, Asian, vegan) and every option has a picture. The food portions were very generous and everyone in my party thought their food was very delicious. Would definitely recommend trying this gem out!

Our first time to LA, from Kentucky. We stayed in a hotel just down the street and stumbled in. The food is fantastic, the menu has something for everyone, the atmosphere is perfect on a rainy LA evening, and the staff is super friendly. I recommend it for anyone who loves Tex-Mex in a great atmosphere. Did I mention the prices of the food? Too Cheap.

Fox News is one of those places that I take out of town visitors and they always love it. The food is great, high quality. The house-made cinnamon roll French toast is, hands down one of my favorite things to order at any restaurant on Earth. They have an outdoor patio where you can bring your well-behaved dog!

I have eaten at this restaurant before and found the food to be decent. However, on this occasion, the coffee was weak, the French toast was mediocre, the bacon was tough, and the Canadian bacon had a strange texture. Considering we paid nearly $60.00 for a basic breakfast for two people, we were disappointed with our experience. Furthermore, we were taken aback by the additional charge for tea bags.

Foxys is a Glendale staple,Ive been coming here since I was a kid. My mom and my family members love this place. Its been around for a long time. The food is great and the customer service is pretty good. They have some days. That they make mistakes,we all do that. I know owner recently retired and I see change in the menu. But I still see familiar faces at the checkin and in the restaurant. We didnt got free bread and butter like before, prices went little up but beside that everything is same and portions are still big. Food quality is also great like always. We been coming here for 8 years for Salmon Egg Benny and this is my favorite place in Glendale. Still packed and hard to find a parking spot.

Over the past 20 years, Ive been to this place only a dozen times or so, I come here when Im visiting my aunt.But EVERY time, the service is phenomenal, everybody is friendly, helpful, and prompt.The food is good and the prices are great!This kind of consistency is rare and can only be attributed to good ownership and management.These are the kind of places that need to be frequented, where employees are treated well and then are able to treat customers well.

Everything we ordered were delicious! The food portion was good. We had carne asada & eggs, french toast special, and chicken tenders appetizer. The carne asada flavor was just right.The only downside was that we had to wait for awhile to be seated. We went there on a Sunday afternoon and the waitlist was still 15-20 mins long. Even after we sat down and ordered, it still took them a long time to serve the bread (really good bread actually).

So, I decided to treat myself to breakfast this morning; which is something I rarely do these days. I was seated in the patio area, and given a menu. I choose the Sea Food Omelette; the price listed on the menu given to me, $15.00. When I received the bill; the price I was being charged $17.00. Not really a huge increase. I asked the waitress to bring me the menu. This menu showed the $17.00 price. So, they have two differently price menus floating. Was the lower priced menu like a lucky random act of kindness?While taking my bill to the cashier named Romeo, I decided to let him know about the different prices on the two menus. He started off by pointing to a small ceramic square with a picture of a Barcode and Foxys website address, saying to me the new prices are posted there, in a argumentative tone and a what are you stupid; facial expression.As young elderly senior, Im use to viewing my food options on a traditional menu. And, I was simply pointing out to Romeo the menus he is giving to customers have different prices for the same food items.Well, then he started his long discombobulating rant. Which ended by him saying; he will just get rid of the hand out menus and make everybody use their cellphones to scan the barcode. I replied, well, you might lose your older customers. His reply was, shrugging his shoulders and shaking his head, which to me meant, he didnt care.My hope is that the owners see this review and then provide Romeo additional customer service training with emphasis on talking to the elderly customers respectfully...

Been here twice for a weekend breakfast. Both times didnt disappoint. Patio seating is nice, inside even nicer with a very cool ambiance. I love the decor and shape of the building. The steep roof gives a very unique feel. Now, the food. Its amazing. From simple breakfast staples to things a little unique. The menu has many options and the service is very good. A nice little place to grab breakfast, lunch or dinner. I had the chicken chilaquiles, which were some of the best Ive had. The sauce tasted delicious and the chicken was perfectly cooked. My girlfriend had the shrimp omelette which came with several big shrimp. I would definitely come back to try their other dishes. The staff was also nice and very attentive, constantly walking around checking up on you and refilling drinks.

Ate on Saturday, November 11th at breakfast. Service was terrible, had to ask for drinks, to take our order, 40 minutes for breakfast & getting refills on water. The poor bus boy/ man working so hard to keep up while waiters not helping. As I ate, my plate, I found cracks & black marks, bacteria. Great service, large portions so usually you will have leftovers which you can take home (don’t waste food!) and most meals come with a pretty large salad which kind of makes your meal healthy or you can also get a soup. The prices are good for the amount of food you get. The only reason why I give 3 stars is because I ordered a New York strip steak which was extremely tough and chewy, so I had to ask them to take itback.

Very nicely decorated interior! Me and my family ordered Mexican food (Carne asada quesadilla, chicken quesadilla, Carne asada fajitas, and chicken quesadilla) and it was absolutely delicious. They have so many menu options ranging from breakfast, salad, seafood, American, steaks, and etc. Spent about 17 dollars per person and it was definitely worth every penny. Perfect portion sizes as well! The service was exceptional as well. The servers were very attentive and would quickly refill my brothers coke whenever they noticed it was empty. Will definitely be coming back here!

Great food and service would definitely recommend and go back to. We ordered the cinnamon roll french toast, a fruit cup and the chicken cordon bleu off the breakfast menu. It was all fantastic and fruit was very fresh. They didnt have any crayons or paper for kids which wasnt really a problem just something to be aware of if you have children you plan on bringing.

The bacon, avocado, and tomato omelet was good. I enjoyed the latte as well and the environment was very Mom and Pop Diner (which I love). Only downside was that the person I was with had an omelet drenched in sour cream. You also toast your own toast... which I didnt feel comfortable doing at this time. I have been coming to this restaurant for over 12 years and it has never disappointed. Even during Covid times I came in this past Friday and the atmosphere is still the same with very friendly and welcoming staff. Awesome virtual menu that you can scan and click with your phone. I love this place for breakfast but I came in for dinner and the ahí tuna salad was to die for. With just a hint of wasabi and soy sauce I couldn’t get enough of my dinner salad. The fresh veggies and tuna cooked to perfection all well put together it was so flavorful. I really recommend this place to build good memories with your family or just to bring a date he/she will love this place.

This is a fancy place as far a Decor goes, however this is not a 60s atmosphere as stated here on Google Maps.The food is pricey, regulars get treated better than first time customers. A pork chops breakfast was over $14.00. My waitress was kind, but did not smile much.I dont understand why there is a toaster at every booth. This could be one of the reasons for high prices. I was also told that the higher minimum wage is responsible for the menu price increase.The music that is playing is very relaxing, not good when trying to wake up in the morning. Nothing here reminds me of the 60s, except the apparent age of some of the other customers.

Right after enjoying the spectacular Tournament of Roses Parade, my wife and I were hungrily looking for brunch and discovered FOXY’S RESTAURANT in Glendale, CA. I had the Patty Melt (Ground beef patty with melted American cheese and onions on grilled rye bread), served with a side Caesar salad. My wife ordered the Omelet with Bacon, Cheese, and Avocado, with a side of Fruit. Both plates were artfully served and absolutely delicious. Even though the place was very crowded and busy, our service was quick and efficient. Definitely recommended – however, parking is limited, so come early – and there are adjacent parking lots a short walk away.

Ive eaten here twice during my lunch hour. Prices are too steep for lunch. Each lunch was about $20 - $25 with tip. The food is not the best and it isnt the worst. There are other options in Glendale with more affordable prices and better menu items.The Chicken Vegetable Soup was my favorite. It was fresh and flavorful. I liked the high quality vegetables in the soup. There was some zucchini squash and cabbage.The Chili con Carne was okay. I would not order again.I also ordered the fish and chips with a soup and salad substitution for the chips (fries), The fish was not what I expected; the menu photos did not depict the actual dish. It didnt have the traditional battered crust--more of a dredge crust. The fish was fresh and well-seasoned. The side salad wasnt enjoyable for me due to the iceberg lettuce, limited toppings, and the cabbage. It is actually the worst salad Ive ever eaten! I had clam chowder on the side. It was so gross. It seemed as though the kitchen added some cornstarch to some clam broth and only added clams. There was no real substance. It should be called Creamy Clam Broth.The decor and artwork was interesting. Parking was easy in the dedicated lot with ample parking.Customer service was the main attraction. Every server was attentive, helpful, and polite. It was easy for me to be served in under an hour.

The food here is really good. I got the corned beef hash benedict and it was really good. The corned beef hash wasnt too salty. My girl got the huevos gringo. She really enjoyed it. The staff was a little rude when we asked them questions. Dismissive at times as if my questions were stupid even though it was my first time here. Love this place! Parking can be tight, but theyre pretty quick to serve. The outdoor seating is dog friendly too! They serve an incredible brunch and lunch menu. Open since 1964, it is an icon in Glendale, across the street from the Glendale Galleria and the Americana at Brand.This family restaurant offers delicious food at reasonable prices, generous portions (one meal can feed two) and friendly service.It is a very welcoming place, plenty of windows and open space. There are two cushy divans at the entrance, both with menus along side it. The decor includes wrought iron frames, wood-framed high beam ceilings, a variety of hanging lighting and lamps, cozy booths, art and interesting artifacts such as a princess phone and manual typewriter.You may dine on large outdoor patio, which has trickling fountain, hanging plants and open space facing parking lot. Or dine inside in a nice booth next to the fireplaces. There is also a bar at the entrance.You can get breakfast all day here. Delicious,massive portions in a lovely, quaint setting. Ive been on a perpetual quest for some of the best breakfast places in the city, and I am very glad I braved the crowds to get into here. For the first time in LA, I found chilaquiles that were actually saucy and well heaped with food, as opposed to the normal breakfast nachos masquerading as chilaquiles. DISHONEST BUSINESS PRACTICESI came to this diner for breakfast this morning. The host seated us and gave us menus, which were dirty and clearly very old. Shortly after the waitress came to take our order. After she took our order she causally mentioned that the updated prices could be viewed by scanning the QR code on a tile on the table and walked away.When I went to check the updated prices, I discovered that my meal that was priced at $13 in the menu was actually $20. This was a total scam. An honest, reputable business would:1. Update their menu with the new prices especially as the change in prices was so substantial.2. Tell customers when they were being seated and handed the menus that the prices in the menu were out of date and the correct prices were on the QR code. The host or the waitress could have told us this before we ordered but neither did.3. Not use an outdated, filthy menu in the first place, we all know how to use QR codes after covid.The fact that the waitress waited until we had ordered to make the subtle remark about the prices and then immediately leave is a clear sign that this is a well rehearsed grift. The comment was an attempt to waive any liability or comeback from disgruntled customers. I don’t appreciate their bait and switch scam and if you feel the same way I would avoid this restaurant. We went to the Toasted Bun instead, the food and staff were great and they didnt try and scam us.

This is one of the only locations where I looked at a menu - stumped on what I should actually order. The food was great, the decor was cozy, perhaps a little tight for a larger fellow like myself, but it worked. The only set back was the limitations of the location; a lot of people in attendance meant parking was a nightmare, and a walk in wait time had me and my party hungry as we slowly became jealous of those who had already been seated. Usually the highest tip option is about 20% but here they automatically charged a tip at about 48% without even asking they just dropped the receipt and walked away not even allowing us to question the bill or in this case the tip charge needless to say I wont come back because of that. Its not the money its the principle and courtesy of allowing me to decide what I want to give Tips are not mandatory they are given when service is great. Ok, so i met a friend here yesterday and we sat for a half hr on the patio. I did not want anything to eat I wanted dessert but did not see anything i wanted. My friend got a bottled water. Ive been coming to this place for many many many years and have spent at least $80 each time and left hefty tips. There There was no sign that said you cant just have coffee.There was no sign that said you had a table minimum.There was no sign that said anything of that nature, if that was the case, I would have just given her some cash to shut her up. I dont believe the way we were treated period she never came back to ask about the coffee she never came back to give her refill of hot water and this rudely just dismissed us. If the restaurant was full, I would have completely understood, but the place was empty completely completely completely empty.Completely empty there was hardly anybody in there. It wasnt like there was a line of people wanting to go and sit. She just wanted to be rude. I hadnt been there in a couple of years, because the last time I was there was with a friend that we used to go every night and my friend passed away and I could not bring myself to go. So I pushed myself yesterday to go and then this is how I got treated. I will not go back to this restaurant.. Done done done done.

This must be the quintessential A-framed restaurant from old-school lore. Foxys is a throwback to yesteryear, but still has it “going on” for todays customer.Wife and I ate here for breakfast Sunday morning three weeks ago. The ambiance was awesome. All wood A-frame design. As soon as we walked and seat, we were greeted by a person who offers coffee. Friendly people all over the place. It was bustling with life and banter--not loud, just reminiscent of when people went to sit down and enjoy a meal.My wife had the oatmeal, and I had the Mahi-Mahi plate. Her meal came with toast, butter, brown sugar, and raisins. Mine came with seared Mahi-Mahi, on a bed of spinach in a teriyaki-vinaigrette sauce, and sliced tomatoes.She loved the oatmeal, but the cool thing is that you get to toast your own bread, Mine was fantastic...I ate the spinach, Mahi-Mahi and tomatoes...not usually a tomato fan.Server was polite, prompt, knowledgeable and had great manners. Food came faster than we expected, and we had plenty of attention from the staff.Pricing was very fair, and Mahi-Mahi was a good portion.You MUST try this place. Get there when they open--it gets busy fast. Must be a great management team because everyone that worked there seemed happy to be there. We definitely recommend this to everyone including family and friends.

Went here to celebrate my cousins birthday. Staff was very accommodating. Ordered apps. Quesadillas and avocado wraps. I like that they put sliced marinated ginger and diced cucumbers on that plate and I really liked the dipping sauce. Saved it for my fish and chips. The birthday girl was impressed with the dinner salad size & freshness. 2 cousins ordered the new York steak. I the grilled chicken salad. They put our birthday cake in refrigerator for us and brought it out to us and lit candles. We stsyed a little too long because they were mopping entrance when we left. My cousin got cramps getting in car and when I gave them salt packets they gave them to us no problem.

Atmosphere was great overall. The food was about average. The ground sirloin steak packed seasoning and flavor. Also, the onions werent cooked all the way. Milkshake had more milk than ice cream. Also, they didnt update the menu prices and didnt tell us about the QR code menu, so the bill was much higher. They didnt honor the advertised prices which is a real low. Keep it classy

Foxys is not the Ritz, so I didnt give it five stars. BUT...it has an amazing assortment of excellent dishes and generous portions. Breakfast fare is pretty standard, but done exceptionally well. For lunch and dinner they serve a wide variety of delicious sandwiches, salads, and entrées, many of which are served with a large side salad or cup of hearty soup. I always leave Foxys full and happy.

At the end of a 3 week holiday to celebrate our anniversary, we were staying at the Vagabond Inn in Glendale. Decided to have dinner at Foxys after arriving late following a long drive from Big Sur. Having driven 3000 miles across west coast USA this was one of the tastiest meals we have had. Ordered New York Steak and Teriyaki Chicken. We were seated very quickly as well as taking our order, but waited close to an hour to get our food. They had a party and were attending to them. Bad service on the waiting on the tables and the food was not worth the wait. No spices of any sort. Ask for a box to take my toddlers food and waitress still made us wait for that. Just a bad experience over-all.

This is your very typical diner food. I ordered a Country fried steak and chocolate banana French toast. The steak was too dry and it almost felt old. The French toast was okay. The syrup was in two little condiment packets instead of having real maple syrup for the toast. Otherwise the service was great. They were very active about keeping my coffee cup full and being available to check in on us.

Was surprised to learn that there’s live performance during dinner time although it finished before we had our meals. It was a plus in the beginning.The red wine we ordered was good, Cabernet Sauvignon. The steak was pink as requested but still a bit dry, but with its price I wouldn’t have complained.The service staff all wore masks, perhaps a request by the shop owner or maybe more common in Los Angeles area.

Terrible service. I was excited to bring a friend here after a long weekend, we expected wait time but I loved this restaurant the last time I went. We waited for 30 minutes after being told it would take up to 20. Eventually one of the managers came up to us and asked if we left our name, I said yes and he said I already called your name. He did not, instead of saying sorry for the wait or maybe I missed your name he pushed back and said yes I did. I told him I’m sorry but no you didn’t, they call each name about 4-5 times and they specify when it is last call. We never left the entrance because we walked from our hotel room so we couldn’t wait anywhere else.This manager instead said, well I don’t know if you haven’t been paying attention but I did call your name. I told him that I didn’t appreciate being spoken to like that and I don’t recall hearing my name. Again he pushed back saying yes I did say it I have a table ready for you have a seat. I work in the hospitality industry so this just upset me so much. We just walked out and went to a lovely Italian restaurant in the Galleria. I don’t plan on going to this restaurant when I’m in the city again.

First I would like to thank our waitress Anna for being attentive, not overbearing, having a kind, helpful and welcoming demeanor. She made my wife and I dining experience that much better. Now for the food, yes this place is really really good! We had the steak and eggs breakfast and the corned beef hash eggs benedict.. both were very very good!! I have high blood pressure and I am glad they go not over salt their food, you can actually taste the full flavor of the food! We will definitely go back to Foxys 😎🤘
