Staff was friendly and accommodating so they are the only real positive part of the hotel. The parking is ample and free which is also a great bonus. Pool area is nice, though we didn’t have a chance to use it.But unfortunately will not stay again. Our rooms had spiders and saw several around the hotel as well. Rooms& AC are pretty dated and not sure if AC is regulated or not but never seemed to get below 73. Beds are comfortable. Relatively clean although our room was never cleaned after a 4 night stay.Location is pretty convenient close to 101 for easy access to wherever you’re off to.

This hotel is dated and on the older side but it was the most quiet hotel I’ve ever been in. We don’t hear anyone above us or in the halls and we were there for a sport tournament so the hotel was packed and there were so many kids! The views were nice, great food spots super close and the staff was super nice.. The breakfast was good and the environment was great.. Also, the shower was amazing it had great water pressure. If you’re a hotel snob, don’t sleep here due to it being older but if you’re an avid traveler, you’ll enjoy it! The beds were great and the AC unit works like a champ! Loved our stay here.

God awful Internet connection. Difficult to accomplish anything online. Literally having to use the hot spot in my phone to accomplish basic work related email tasks over the WiFi. If this hadnt been covered by my company I would ask for some type of refund, and I will advise my employer never to book our team there again.Room was adequate and clean. Staff was great.

Rooms arent large, but theyre clean. The restaurant in the hotel and the pool are both good. DONT EXPECT EARLY CHECK-IN (we tried checking in at 2pm, but they made us wait until after 3, and wouldnt let us use the pool). Gym is small but mostly functional (no plates but they have dumbbells). Bar & food are unavailable until 4pm.

The place was super clean.The only thing I did not like was 5 kids were using the hot tub & pool. They would get out each time & use up all the towels. Also they were splashing water so anyone walking could slip in the pool. The kids were in High School & were not supervised.

I was almost amused at how many things were broken. In the room, the telephone was, the mini fridge froze our items at the lowest setting, the shower had hot water only sometimes. The thermostat just repeatedly counted down to something but did not work either.It was almost funny how everything in the room didnt work as intended. Must not check them often. Building facing highway also has a huuuuge amount of road noise. Windows dont reduce it much. The bed was very comfortable tho and the housekeeping on point.But aside from some teens playing a loud game of hide and seek in the hotel halls for some reason, it wasnt too bad. Coffee in the lobby, a well maintained pool, some pretty birds and palm trees, and sunny days.So idk. Overall we had a fine time altho Ive honestly never seen a room with so much broken at once, pretty impressive they didnt notice any of them. Luckily none really caused us big problems except our frozen wine and guac didnt taste great...luckily the flower we bought for a wedding went into another rooms fridge or theyd have been ruined too.

Hotel is older and not fancy but works fine for a work trip.Positives: nice staff, had pool/jacuzzi, dated decorations but cleanNegatives: internet never works on 4th floor, they took away the buffet breakfast which was the highlight of the hotel, and apart from breakfast not a lot of perks of being Marriott elite status

Very noisy location right next to the highway and rooms are looking very run down and shabby Cleaning staff is not on top of things and hotel has a new policy that only covers cleaning every two days which is ridiculous Restaurant Bar is convenient and nice, but only with Jose who is great Youll be lucky if the other bartender actually gets to take your order. I gave 3 stars for service only for reception staff who are really nice and helpful and not in control of company policies

It was a work stay. The room was older but clean. The Bonvoy App didnt say it had a microwave but it did and a bigger than normal mini fridge which I wish all hotels had. Room far from the lobby tho not fun if you have heavy luggage (however after I went to the store I parked in back and my room was 2nd floor right by elevator wish Id known before that long walk). The location was good for my work. Theres a couple of shopping centers walking distance 1/2 a block away (Safeway, Starbucks, Kohls, panda express...and others). Free parking but no complimentary breakfast. Also a big plus was able to get fresh air and open windows. Im definitely staying again for work.

Thought that we booked directly with the Hotel. It turned out to be an Expedia booking. We were given a lot of bad information our pet fee was supposed to be $20. Breakfast was supposed to be included. It wasnt. The Hotel was excellent. Expedia lied and pretended they were the Hotel.

This hotel is basic and clean. The restaurant has good service and quality food. Parking is free and available. This is an affordable place not far from the City. It offers very good value in a low stress, quiet spot convenient to the 101 and the City. I have stayed a number of times and I will again.

Located just of 101, this Marriott standard was quite fine for our family group who stayed there for a nearby wedding in Marin. Having the bar and restaurant was super convenient when folks got in late or we wanted something after the welcome happy hour for the wedding. The window AC was quite loud, but did a great job keeping the room cool on a day that got over 100. The lobby air conditioning was not winning the war that day. Navigating the building was super confusing --basically use the elevator unless you have a working key card, and even then you cant enter level 0 with a card. Staff was helpful when our card key failed and when the security lock on the door kept us from getting into our empty room. Shower had plenty of hot water. Check to see if breakfast is included, otherwise stumble down the hill for coffee or a delicious donut. CVS and Safeway were also just a short walk away. Convenient to the county fair as well.

I am so spitting mad, I am having a tough time writing this review. The room they gave us is basically in the basement. It’s dark, dank, and all together miserable. We asked for a different room and it was minimally better but not worth the effort of moving. The people behind the counter are useless. I think the best word is complacent. They really didn’t care if we liked the room or not. They just shrugged and said, “the room is nice.” By Marriott standards, the room is NOT nice! Ironically, we paid extra to have this “upgraded” room. I’d hate to see their normal room!!I gave the hotel 2 stars (instead of 1 star) because the rest of the property is nice. The pool, sitting areas, and restaurant all look good.

People with pet allergies beware. I assumed pets were not allowed in any room at any time but this hotel does not have that policy. All dogs welcome and if you have allergies you might end up in a room that smells like you just walked into a dog grooming facility and is caked in hair every square inch of your room. I stay here regularly and have had a few stays now I thought I just got sick but after seeing this tonight and asking their pet policy I know now I wasn’t sick my sore throat and bloody nose was from previous pets staying here. I love dogs as much as anyone but a more obvious disclosure of exposure risks would have been great. Most people now a days might assume the occasional service dog might have been in the room at some point but this room looks and smells like someone stayed here with several dirty dogs for months. I love this hotel and the staff and I’m super sad I won’t be able to stay here in the future again.

I liked the room but it could have been remodeled. The bathroom seemed old and the drain was clogged so we had to take it out. The pack-n-play that they gave us didn’t fold right and we have a grumpy toddler. I would have liked to see hot chocolate and apple cider in the lobby like when l went in December. The room was overall pretty good and the breakfast was unbeatable at any hotel.

Wanted to leave a special review for the front desk agent Mark. My husband and I stay at marriott properties all over the world and have never had front desk staff make us feel as valued and welcome as Mark did. He even came from behind the desk to walk with us and tell us about different amenities and services that would be available during our stay. Run of the mill room which I guess is what we expected with a chain. The 1rst night after a long day of travel we arrived in our first floor room, walked out in the little sitting area and there was a giant rat that ran by our door. Luckily the rat didnt run into our room when I walked out. My husband is especially terrified of rats so we requested an upper floor which we got. Apparently this hotel does resort day passes where locals can pay $25 to go the pool. I met a few very nice locals but for hotel guests (we stayed 4 nights) it was bad. Two of our days there no towels. My husband had to go ask front desk for towels to be put out in the towel box at the pool. Another day no towels so I went to the desk and the desk was so backed up 6 people in line waiting to be helped so no towel that day so I sat on someones wet chair once they left...pretty gross. Also 2 of the 4 days there were no pool chairs. All taken up by the resort day pass folks paying their $25. I sat outside the pool area by the fireplace one day and dragged a breakfast table chair from outside the Pool area another. Lots of screaming kids jumping in & out of the Pool too. Again mostly day pass locals I assume.

The hotel appears to be nice once inside but that is not the experience I was provided.My problem with the stay was that the slider to the patio, which lead to a common area for anyone to access, was not on the tracks and therefore could not be secured properly. Due to the door not being closed properly, the room was exposed to the elements like bugs and debris from the outside. I requested that the situation be addressed in the capacity that they were able to and was told that maintenance was going to stop by to address the situation. After a few hours, I inquired in person at the front desk to find out what the best course of action was and the very kind lady stepped aside to personally inquire from the maintenance staff nearby. After all of this, there was still no resolution and I checked out 3 nights early and moved to another hotel that valued my safety and security.As some background, I stay at hotels more often than I am stay at my own residence so please do not take my review lightly.Full Story:Upon arrival at the hotel, I was greeted with a smiling face and a few kind laughs. I was upgraded complimentary to a room with patio access. I was very appreciative and got settled into my room. I found a very up to date room with some space to move around in. The bathrooms are nice. The King bed was very comfortable and clean.The towels were nice sized but smelled of cleaning agents to a degree that I have never experienced before.I arrived back to the hotel after my ventures of the day to find leaves and small twigs under the AC unit for the room. After noticing these items I found the patio door to be slightly cantered at the bottom away from the building allowing appropriately sized objects to pass through with ease. I was able to slide the door with more than average pressure and was concerned that I had just left all of my personal belongings in an unsecured room. I investigated the door and found that there was a aftermarket locking mechanism installed but due to the door being off track the lock was rendered useless. I sat down at the desk in my room and found small bugs crawling on my belongings.I called up to the desk to have the situation handled and the beginning of this review is how it ended.PLEASE do not stay here just because it is a Marriott, there are much better hotels in the area for around the same price.For management,I am sorry that the situation was not addressed properly by staff and I understand that this experience could have been avoided by a simple room change or someone actually coming out to investigate the situation. These options were not offered to me and this is the reason I checked out. For future situations like mine, please take into consideration the safety of your guests and their belongings.

I loved my stay here and would definitely recommend it to anyone traveling to Marin for business or leisure. I was in the process of moving back to Marin, and ended up staying at this location. The value to comfort and atmosphere ratio is excellent.The location is very central and convenient for getting around Marin County and all other destinations in the region including the city of San Francisco. The hotel staff were friendly and engaging. I didnt know my two-night stay would turn into about five or six nights, and the staff always greeted me and made me feel welcome.Having a full restaurant and bar in the hotel was very convenient. The breakfast buffet was great with a lot of variety. There were also a lot of options for lunch and dinner. I had dinner with a glass of wine one night and everything was delicious, and the atmosphere was very nice and quiet. Another nice perk (no pun intended) was the coffee one can help themselves to in the hallway of the lobby.There is a lovely courtyard in the center of the hotel featuring an inviting hot tub and pool. I regret not getting in the hot tub as it was mid fall and getting chilly, but it was nice to have the option. There is also a fitness center I did not visit. An amenity I did take advantage of was the onsite laundry room. I almost went to a laundromat when a staff member informed me that I could do laundry in the hotel. It was very convenient and clean.The room and everything in it was nice, clean, and comfortable. I can tell the building itself is older, but everything seems well maintained and updated. The room had a big screen TV, a desk with chair, a lounge chair, microwave, refrigerator, and everything else one typically would need during a hotel stay, and the heater kept the room nice and cozy.Again, I would recommend staying here if you want to be comfortable in a nice atmosphere without feeling like youre paying too much.

Surprise delightful quiet retreat on a hill near Civic Center with easy access to Hwy 101. The commendable kitchen provides sliders to crab cakes and breakfast buffet. Public areas are attractive and service is friendly and attentive. Winning combination of rooms and comfort.

First hotel I have ever stayed in that refuses you the Free Breakfast if you use a discounted Senior Room Rate. Was told by Jackie at the front desk this morning that the full room rate has to be paid to get the free breakfast. No discounted special rates are allowed. Very disappointing! Wont stay there again. Seniors really count on the free breakfast. The Hampton Inn Suites and the Hyatts offer free breakfast on any discounted room rate.

Headline is, they kind of cheap out. And I dont leave bad reviews often.Sold a room with a view, but the view was the highway, on a ground floor. Okay, at least the rest is nice.So we go to the rest.The fires near the pool need to be turned on by maintenance, and they seem reluctant to do so. Waited 30 minutes for that to turn on. The large, community fire is the only thing that will heat you up in late fall, but its great to be outside...And for some reason, that fire has far narrower operating hours than the other one, and the pool beside it. Do you want us to freeze? Propane is cheap.Breakfast was sub-par, if not inedible... and costs $22. I overheard free vouchers were non-splittable.Its definitely not worth what the room costs, even if the room had been properly advertised.

This is my go-to for stays in the Bay Area. Staff is friendly, the rooms are clean with a mini fridge and a microwave, and parking is free. There’s a pool and a workout room. It’s convenient to SF. Most of all, it’s well-managed and well-prices. Even recommend the on-site restaurant for breakfast and dinner, and great options across the street. And, fyi, I stay here over 30 nights a year for business.

First of all, this is a very clean facility and very comfortable. We stayed for six days during the Thanksgiving holiday. It is the second or third time weve stayed in this location. The hotel was able to accommodate us having adjoining rooms during part of our stay since our grandchildren stayed for two nights with us. All of the staff is so friendly and they greet us wherever on the property we encounter them. We were particularly impressed with Chef Damien and his staff in the restaurant. The Sheraton Four Points has the most delicious and wonderful breakfast buffet. The food is hot, well prepared and such a variety!! During the time we stayed, the hotel was rather full but there was no problem in getting a seat. Chef Damien even went to the effort and found the Ohio State football game on the television all the way west in California! Due to the time difference, our favorite football team was playing. Since we have family in the area, this is definitely our go to home away from home when we are visiting Marin County!

Clean room with all the typical amenities. Decor is somewhat dated and the comforters were horrible. Front desk was friendly and very helpful when confronted in person. However, when calling from the room, they would never pick up. Fitness center had dumbbells up to 50lbs and several elliptical and treadmills.Decent stay for the money.

Nice enough hotel. They upgraded us to a larger room which was great since we had visits from family members also staying there. Not too clean but thankfully we brought Clorox wipes. Front desk was not knowledgeable about transportation options to get to SFO. I eventually figured out that Lyft (not Uber) was the way to go. Breakfast was enhanced by a station where a friendly young man cooked eggs any way you like. My family enjoyed the pool area.

The management (as well as all the staff) goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is a pleasurable as possible. Staff was friendly and check in was quick. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Too bad the place had a bunch of cops all night because someone took too many painkillers and drink too much booze at the same time. They should have just removed the guy from the property rather than just monitoring him. The shower gel was out and we called room service and asked for more. They never showed up. I asked at the front desk and they said they would send someone up. Again, no one ever showed. Pool was nice! I would stay again... The price was right and it was comfortable and clean.

My stay at the 4 points by sheraton in San Rafael was absolutely splendid. We were there December 17-20, 2019. It was lovely. The hotel from the outside looks very different and unique. When you walk in, the friendly front desk greets and kindly answers your questions. They suggest wonderful restaurants as well and they suggest good tourist spots. The rooms are very new and clean and the TV has a lot of channels. The housekeeping did their job very well and they were extremely kind. The breakfast is just wonderful, they have so much variety! The front desk gave us a voucher for the breakfast. They even have a clean coin laundry room. The pool was closed as most of the time it was raining but it looked really clean even in the rain and the area around it was string lights and palm trees. The location was also pretty good, its about 20 minutes from downtown SF. You pass the golden gate bridge to get there so that was good as well. Whenever I come to SF, Ill only stay here.

Good buffet breakfast on weekends, a bit more limited on weekdays ($21 per person.) Easy and fast check in/out. Plenty of parking.A bit tricky to walk to places if you wanted to go for a walk (big ramp to go up/down) and to get to shopping or restaurants.

Restaurant was unexpectedly amazing - delicious burgers, pasta and probably the best chicken sandwich Ive ever had. Korean chicken wings were really good, highly recommend if you are ok with a bit of a spicy flavor. All staff were very professional and friendly. We will be back!

Hotel is on its own little hill.Very quiet and beautiful hotel.I have stayed in bigger rooms, but size of room was decent.Big screen smart t.v.Staff was very friendly, especially the general manager.We had some coffee and orange juice in the morning along with some pastries, all provided by the hotel.My son attends Dominican University of California nearby. This will be our go to hotel from now on. Also, a little less expensive than other hotels in the area.Very happy we stayed here.

Nice room, bed was comfortable, many pillows to choose from depending if you like soft or firm, etc. Air conditioner worked well to whatever temperature you set. Spacious room. Tub and nice flow on shower. Definitely a feeling like they care and are consumer oriented. Three levels of curtains in room so can choose level of light filtering or black out. Plenty of outlets for electronical devices. Free wi-fi, free TV and HBO and other channels with personal welcome on TV screen upon arrival. Flat screen tv, larger mini-fridge, microwave, complementary water and all needed items in room upon arrival, including robe, slippers, iron and board, hair dryer. Condiments for coffee, tea, and all toiletries provided including mouthwash and lotion, etc. Very recycle conscious which I appreciated such as no plastic can liners, full bottles of shampoo and conditioner and body wash in shower, and recycle can in room next to trash. Nice touches everywhere such as outdoor dining, fireplace inside and outside, towels at pool. Everything was very clean. Pool was nicely heated. Unfortunately, hot tub was same temperature as pool which was basically not hot. Super fabulous breakfast which opened at 6:00 AM (very nice with full staff) and included salmon, omelets, and all you could want for breakfast. Every staff person was very professional, pleasant, courteous, helpful, and they obviously choose the best of the best to work there. Very clean grounds with outside recycle and refuse available. So many positives, only negative was hot tub and even without hot tub would recommend and would stay again. Very pleased for $205/night. Excellent value. Thanks.

Rooms were spacious, clean and smoke free. They provided a microwave and a fridge at no cost. The shower had good water pressure and the bathroom had good lighting. I loved the breakfast buffet that you get a coupon for if you elect to not have the maid service clean your room daily. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Didnt get to use the pool or fitness center but both appeared nice. I wish we had stayed there longer!

Ive stayed here a few times and the service is always excellent! They have delicious cookies and a very good breakfast buffet. The rooms are clean, however the beds arent always the most comfortable. Its located close to lots of food choices and shopping centers in case you forgot to pack your essentials. I would recommend staying here for sure.

Outstanding customer service. Rooms and hotel were spectacular (very clean). Laundry area was clean and included 3-4 washer and dryers. I was able to tackle our vacation laundry rather quickly. The pool area was amazing and a fireplace was located at lobby and pool area. The hotel is centrally located and was an easy commute to San Francisco 😊

The lobby, lounge and restaurant area looks new and updated. However, the floors where the rooms are located still need updating (even though it appears they tried to make some improvements). The rooms were ok. Bathrooms are small. Overall they keep the place clean. Dont expect any luxuries or new, modern look to the rooms. The service was good in all areas. Coming from a Hyatt in Pittsburgh, the four points was a welcome change. Though on the more expensive side, it is comfortable, and well maintained. I dont feel dirty after my stay here, unlike other dingy places. Room is a nice size, comfortable bed, and quiet. Got a good night of deep sleep. Had room that faced highway but couldnt hear a thing. Its actually a great view and a nice way to see the local traffic. Good location, only 10 min walk to the mall where they have a movie theater and dinner options. Primarily stay there due to close proximity to my meetings in the AM. Had the breakfast buffet on way out. Fairly priced, quiet and a decent variety of options to choose from. Overall I like staying here and would recommend. It is not fancy, but nice and pleasant.

Nothing but good things to say about the hotel and the staff there. Very clean rooms and hotel when I first got there. I had an issue with my ac unit and once they determined that it wasn’t an easy fix the maintenance man and the front desk staff offered me a new room and a free breakfast. I also had to leave early and the manger on duty worked with me so I wouldn’t be charged the 2 extra nights that I had already booked and gave me a full refund on those unused nights. Lastly i had to leave on an early flight and left my iPad in my room. The front desk staff personally went to find it and did. They let me know they could ship it to me but I would need to pay the cost which of course I was willing to since it was my fault. The manager John even though he had personal time off came back and paid for the shipping and didn’t let me. Amazing customer service from John, amazing front desk staff, and amazing behind the scenes staff. 10/10

Good location as one is close to downtown San Rafael and its restaurants. Also one is just a short walk down the hill from a mall and a large shopping center. The public areas of the hotel are large and spacious, with many places to sit. On Wednesdays, some Sheraton Four Points host a reception, as did this location. It was nice, but at a smaller scale compared to some weve seen--juice size glasses of beer and 2 hot appetizers. The rooms are your normal, average hotel room. No suites at this location. Front desk staff could be more welcoming, but the restaurant staff was great. Breakfast buffet is a couple of notches above the usual--there was smoked salmon every morning, along with bacon, eggs, and potatoes. Also a different entree every morning-- chicken and waffles, biscuits and gravy.... Cost of the buffet is a reasonable $14.

The rooms good, the beds were pretty comfy I think they had a pillow top on them. And the bathroom was clean and had soap dispensers in the shower. The room also had a 50-inch flat panel TV and On Demand movies, but you have to pay for the movies which I think were $18.99 each, but at least they had HBO as one of the channels. And the room had a microwave and a refrigerator in it. The size of the room was pretty standard for a two queen bed hotel room. My husband talked to lady at front desk who charged a “incidental holding fee” of $100 and $20/day pet fee. A very nice hotel. I went there and stayed one night to make my son that I didnt know I had. He lives in San Rafael but at a friends house and there is no room. I was wanting to go back to spend two or three days at the hotel to be with my son. I was in San Francisco Veterans Hospital and had a stent put into my heart but found out I had a lemon sized tumor of full-blown aggressive cancer inside my bladder so I was hoping to spend at least 2 or 3 days there before something happened and I may never be able to see him again. The hotel there is incredibly beautiful and everybody that works there is very nice and the food is great also. I give 4 stars, mainly because the complaints that were diplomatically presented about the hot tub were not addressed. Hot tub amenities seem difficult to come by these days and this was the very thing we were looking forward to enjoying after 12 hours in traffic. Given Covid protocols, I figured they wouldnt have opened the hot tub back up, especially if the filter wasnt working. It looked promising as we checked in.When we got to our first room, the smell of cigarettes was immediately apparent. We had reserved a defeathered king room because I am allergic to down feathers. We went to the front desk and asked for a different room as we were going to be staying for four nights and there is no way we were going to be able to deal with the cigarette smell the entire time. They ended up moving us to another king room on level zero with a not so lovely view of a stone wall. This room was not defeathered. Thank goodness my allergy is not severe and I was able to survive on a constant supply of Zyrtec.The room itself was ok. The bed was comfortable, the pillows not so much. They were very soft and squishy with zero support. However, there were three major issues that would cause me not to go back to this spot. One was the shower drain not draining well so with every shower we were left to stew in our dirtiness. Gross. Second was the lack of a fan in the bathroom. Obviously most people like hot showers that generally will steam up the bathroom. Which brings me to my third issue; lack of lighting and mirrors. There were mirrors in the bathroom and on the opposite side of the bathroom door, thats it. The bathroom was constantly humid so the mirror in the bathroom was basically not usable for getting ready. To be able to use the mirror on the bathroom door we had to bring the standing lamp from the opposite side of the room, plug it in in the bathroom (because there are zero plugs anywhere in the front of the room) and place it next to the door. Thank goodness my blow dryer has a super long cord so I could use it in this manner as well. We were here for a wedding and getting ready for said wedding was quite the stressful chore with this setup.There were other little irritating things also like not having any plugs to charge my phone on one side of the bed but six outlets on the other side, not being able to get a late check-out, and some of the TV channels not working, but all in all it was an ok stay. If I had to go back to that area I would probably try a different hotel with hopes of having a better room setup.

B careful here! I booked a banquet room in July for our company holiday party In Dec for 100 adults and children. Up until the day of the event the hotel staff appeared normally responsive and professional. The actual event made it very clear that not only are they woefully understaffed (1 waiter for 100 people?) they are more interested in offering excuses then solutions. Details are too numerous to mention but food was late, cold, and not replenished in the undersized chafing dishes. Bar never arrived. Soft drinks never arrived. Guests raided kitchen for plates, front desk person had to find cups for water. No assistance with decorating or clean up. Desserts were out when we arrived so people ate them because there was no food. They were served on Unattractive metal baking trays. I am a professional event organizer with 40 years experience and this was one of the worst executed parties I’ve suffered through. I was embarrassed in front of my guests and employers. Beware.

Cheap accomodations if travelling to and from the city but be warned:- its not cheap or easy to get back and forth from the city to hotel in any less than an hour. If I could do it again, Id just spend the extra $ and get a place right in SF- often a hassle or impossible to get a shuttle to the ferry. Saucalito is a highlight and the ferry is worth taking.Update: hotel paying for Uber again this morning. Service seems to vary depending on who you talk to, but when you get someone who is good, theyre really good. 🤷 forgot in original post but, woman booked shuttle for 22 people when we were here and on the same day, we were told that we couldnt be taken to the ferry terminal by shuttle. There are two of us. We are fine with Uber and dont expect a shuttle, but when its a feature that the hotel offers that is regularly unavailable, it gets frustrating. Where is the switch for the bathroom fan? There is a vent over the tub but no switch for a fan. Water pressure in shower is like a trickle but the sink is like Niagara falls. Why do the key cards stop working? I stayed at a four points in San Fransisco earlier this week and had to get a new card twice, so did my in-laws. Had a late check-in which was fine. The problem was that the air conditioner was broken. The information lights would not turn on, the unit would not turn on for at least fifteen minutes, and when it did turn on it was excessively and uncomfortably cold, forcing me to turn it off almost immediately. My brother in law was staying here and when we came back from dinner the boy at the front desk looked at us outside the locked door and ignored us. He couldnt even be bothered to open the door to check why we were there. My brother in law is a guest and the room key wouldnt provide access to the lobby to go to his room. This is my 2nd time visiting San Francisco and I must say between this and the Best Western in Novato I with all pleasure hands down choose Four Points by Sheraton San Rafael. First let me say it’s sitting on top of a cute hill/mountain that allows you to walk over to any corner & view this beautiful down below. I was a little early for check in so my original room with Mountain View wasn’t available, but with all pleasure the staff accommodated me and placed me in one of their premium room with balcony rooms with no additional charges. I was extremely grateful & humble for this amazing treatment. However this particular room after spending one night in it I had minor issues with noise and as soon as I brought it to the front desk attention the next morning Adrianna (I believe that was one of the ladies name that helped me) quickly offered to switch my room & gave me a complimentary bread pass for the inconvenience. Again, I was grateful for everything, but my boyfriend & I was uncomfortable again in our new 2nd room... (I know what you’re thinking oh she must be picky) no but I like to get a full nice night rest. However, immediately without hesitation they changed me to another room and this one was amazing with the best view of the mountains and pool!!!! For a moment I felt like I was playing Goldie locks hahahahaha! I couldn’t be more satisfied with my pick for this hotel. If you eat at the restaurant for lunch or dinner try the truffle fries (only if you like garlic & butter flavored things because there’s LOTS of that on it, but it’s good)!!! The location is perfect because you have a ups storefront on the same side of you just down the hill, across the street literally walking distance very easy crossing a little street you have a grocery store called Safeway, a Thai restaurant called Callagan (the food wasn’t all that & they weren’t friendly at all). Bjs is a short walk away Walgreens everything just name it. If I’m ever in this area again I most definitely will stay here again !!!

This review is for the dining area yesterday a few of us came to sit down and dine I asked the guy Luis for a menu. He complained and asked us to sit somewhere else because he had a big crowd. When I remembered I walked through the bar area to get ir. Luis follows me bugging me asking me if I needed help. I tell him no and head to grab cereal. Now he wants to charge me. Nice rooms. Comfortable beds. My rate came with breakfast buffet thats better than most other hotel breakfasts. Only thing is its loud. Not enough soundproofing between rooms.

Horrible big room. The small of smoke and perfume they used to cover it up made us sick. Moved out the next morning. Bedroom TV didnt work. The bed and pillows were horrible. The toilet spun around from the floor when you say on it. No value here.

Very good although my parents didnt like it. I was getting ice and the man in the office on the first floor slammed the door because he had it open. It was kinda rude but me and my dad didnt pay it any attention. Very nice clean hotel not sure if Id come back but i do recommend.

Smelled bad, musty and gross. Incredibly overpriced for the area. I only stayed a single night and I was intensely sorry.Its this location though, I stayed at another Hotel in the same chain a few days later in a different location, and it was 1000% better.

Much better than expected. Heated pool and jacuzzi meant a nice end to the day. Very nice stay at better price than almost anything else around it. Now my go-to place in Marin.

If you are looking for an economical alternative when visiting San Francisco, the Four Points by Sheraton San Rafael is an excellent choice. Took a family trip up to Muir Woods and stayed here the night before. First time in a Four Points, and it was excellent. Front desk staff were welcoming and efficient at both check-in and check-out. The room was great, spacious and modern. Beds were comfortable and well-maintained, bathroom was clean, Wifi worked great. Laundry facilities were great too, which is always a welcome surprise. The restaurant and bar at night served good food, the deviled eggs in particular. The breakfast offerings the next morning were quite good too. So overall, great experience!

We live nearby and go for drinks and an appetizer occasionally. The bartenders are friendly and make great drinks. The food is solid bar food.

I forgot my pair of prescription glasses at the hotel and Sonia from housekeeping department was so kind and shipped the pair of glasses to my house. 5 star guest services!

Clean and modern. The rooms are comfortable and are offered with an empty mini fridge, microwave, and complimentary water bottles. Parking is plentiful. Its convenient located near the freeway.

As a titanium member, I have stayed at this hotel for several stays. This last stay was very affected by the pandemic. Staff at the front desk Jackie was extremely rude, she mentioned she did not get paid enough to resolve an issue. Rooms were very unsanitary, this picture was from room 406.
