We were sold a bill of goods as to how this software works. It does not work as is. It freezes, drops data entered into the billing software, changes balances to credits in the ledger, diagnoses are changed when exporting to the billing side along with duplicate visits created on the same day. This is the tip of the iceberg. My billing manager has a 7 page document of issues with the software. Technical support explains issue with circular reasoning to the point where nothing makes sense. They mansplain issue to my female staff and talk over them when they are speaking. They have also attempted to do the same to myself, and the call didnt go very well from that point. There is a 10 day lag between when you send charges to the clearinghouse, and when its actually posted. 2 months in and I am down 80% on my insurance collections due to all these glitches. I definitely wont recommend this software to anyone other than my worst enemy. This company is costing me thousands each month, and I hope I can recoup the loss by the time we reimplement our old software.

SCHEDULING & EHR PROGRAMS HAVE COME A LONG WAY - FORTE HOLDINGS (Specifically Chiro8000) HAS FAILED TO KEEP UP.We used this program at our practice since 2015 and we are extremely relieved to finally have transferred to a secure online Scheduling and EHR system. We used Chiro8000 program and we paid the monthly Tech Support fee. Here are a few things anyone considering the Chiro8000 program should know:1) YOUR DATA IS KEPT ON YOUR LOCAL HARD DRIVE - THIS IS NOT A CLOUD BASED SYSTEM - Wonderful for HIPPA compliance and a nightmare for using appointment reminder functions. Data is stored on your computers local drive, so the program speed is affected by how much data the program uses. There are major delays in processing a task and the program freezes regularly. We have multiple days per week where the system will be non-responsive and operations running the front office are paused (minutes to hours). The program crashes regularly. We used our tech support frequently, but ultimately stopped calling and looked for a new program because they could not get to the root cause of why the system shut down and failed to save things like booked appointments (we had far too many double bookings because spots appeared open, but we actually booked and unsaved - and other times random appointments end up on the sched when no doctors were scheduled in the office).2) APPOINTMENT REMINDERS HAVE ONE OPTION AND THEY DEPEND ON YOUR INTERNET/PHONE LINE CONNECTION - This was the deal breaker. Our clients know that any reminder is a courtesy, AND we do wish to have reminders sent out for flow purposes. Appt reminders can only be set to a defaulted time of 2 days before the appt and they go out in a batch. Weeks at a time no reminders would go out. The system has reports showing that they sent them out, however because they are tied to your personal business server, there is a high chance that your lines may not be able to accommodate the demand of the outgoing reminders, so no one will receive them.You can send manual reminders via text or email as you book an appointment. . .and that is a BIG task for staff or doc to send out each reminder individually.Since the only option for reminders is to send them our manually or in a batch 48hrs before the visit, clients get confused. There are far better companies that run their programs on HIPPA compliant Cloud systems and appt reminders are not dependent on your phone/internet connection. If appt reminders are something you are looking for in a program, there are better option for you.3) CONSTANT FREEZES & NON-RESPONSIVE STATES - The program crashes regularly and data goes missing. We were diligent about performing upgrades and backups and we still experienced regular losses of data that was entered and saved. Our front office would enter in a weeks worth of payments and half of them would go missing. Same for appts. Extremely frustrating and hours of work were regularly lost. Again, tech support was not helpful in ever resolving this issue. We have always kept appropriate storage parameters for data and the recommended processor speed for our hard drive, so we were compliant with all that was required to run Chiro8000.4) TECH SUPPORT IS NOT ON DEMAND - Its a paid monthly service AND an appointment is required to have someone assist you. It was incredibly frustrating having to wait for a callback or even the next day to get someone on the phone to POSSIBLY resolve the issue. Theres a super limited number of techs, so be aware that there may only be one person available in a day to assist a large number of clients. The techs are great, we appreciate their time.5) NEVER ADDED FEATURES TO HELP WITH THE EVOLUTION OF TODAYS SCHEDULING & FRONT OFFICE NEEDS - No new features were added in the 4 years we used this program. We placed requests and they would work on them, but never actually execute improvements.CHOOSE WISELY IF YOU ARE A PRACTICE WITH MORE THAN ONE PRACTITIONER. THERE ARE BETTER PROGRAMS AVAILABLE THAT ARE STAYING CURRENT WITH SCHEDULING AND EHR NEEDS.
