The installation itself was quick and efficient. The crew arrived on time and worked diligently to get the job done. They were courteous and respectful, and they made sure to clean up after themselves once the installation was complete. Throughout the process, my project manager, Ryan, kept me informed of the progress and was always available to answer any questions I had. His attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction were truly impressive. One thing that stood out to me about Forme Solar was their dedication to using the latest technology and innovations in solar energy. They explained how features like microinverters and smart monitoring systems would help optimize the performance of my system and maximize my energy savings. Since the installation, Ive already noticed a significant decrease in my energy bills, and Im excited to see the long-term impact on my wallet and the environment. This review is way overdue. I had my first solar panel installation for my home as well as my Tesla battery Powerwall with Forme Solar months ago and I had an exceptional experience with them. Got approval to turn on our solar from Edison by going solar with Forme. On the positive, they got our application and permits processed in a timely manner. The system was affordable and better priced than competitors.We got a 30 panel Enphase solar project installation at our home.When it came to any inquiry and technical questions about initiating the Solar project, Bobby was very detail oriented and patient with us throughout the process.From end to end any operation / installation related questions about the project, paperwork with Edison, permit approval etc the team was helpful.We are happy with the customer service we got from Forme and hope that it will continue the same in future. I do enjoy the fact we got solar installed and were now generating electricity.

So to be fair, I am not a customer of Forme Solar, so I cannot attest to their quality of work. The reason I am not a customer is the reason for the review. I have solar on a commercial building that needs service. I contacted Forme Solar and requested them to come out and do a diagnostic inspection to determine the problem and proceed with repairs from there. I was given a price of $350 for the diagnostic and I set up the appointment. The next day I received a call from them informing me that the diagnostic charge was actually going to be $500. I dont do business like that or with anyone who does. It is absurd to raise the price at all, let alone by almost 50% after a price has been agreed upon. It is my experience that this type of business practice will ultimately cause a business to fail. If your potential customers cannot trust you, they will not become paying customers, as in this case.I am looking for a company I can trust to handle the 4 properties I have with solar. Forme Solar is not the one. Moving on...

I spoke with Donna and they showed up the next day to check and initiated a warranty claim to replace the panel at no cost to me. My experience is limited to the removal and reinstallation of 12 solar installation project that was installed originally by sunrun. I had to turn to Forme for help. It turns out that the original installation didnt get as great sun so they shifted some of my panels to help improve the efficiency. Donnee did a superb job - punctual, friendly and thorough. It took me about 2 months to shop for the right solar company for my project. Forme Solar made a confusing topic easy to understand and helped make a difficult decision one that we could make with confidence. I had 8 quotes!!!! 5 from local companies and 3 from the big boys. Different pricing, equipment, number of panels, type of inverter, energy generation, warranties, oh my. Throughout the process was able to learn a lot about power offset, batteries, EVs and other things that will impact production. The whole process took about 4 months from the date that I signed the contract to getting permission from Edison to turn on my solar.Every step of the way my consultant Grace was active and did a great job of keeping me updated and helped me with the answers to my questions. She was extremely professional and responsive.Install wasn’t bad. It took 2 days. After the permits got approved, everything started moving quickly. Got inspected and boom about two weeks later got approval from SCE.In closing, I would recommend getting solar. Forme did a good job, not sure what it would have been like using someone else but provided good info, was pleasant enough to work with and their price was competitive for the equipment I was looking for.

UPDATE: After the review, communication improved Terry the Ceo oversaw and tried to get things to move along. SCE as slow as it was finally approved us.Ultimately there was still some glitches from the way the installers had used incorrect equipment. A lot more visits to my office than Id like if planning was better from Forme. So another hole got added to my building.I was promised by Terry a consumption meter for the panel (a neat feature) to make up for everything (was a nice gesture) but it turns out at the time there was only one for residential therefore just an empty promise. He mentioned there would be a commercial one which he would sell me and the sentiment would have been better professionally if they just offered me a complimentary one for all the trouble and inconvenience.Overall 3.25 stars. Maybe my expectations were too high but as a small business myself we got to stand out. Leanne and Terry seem like nice people but that only can go so far. Results speak for themselves.Communication and promises could still be improved as they probably juggle many projects and maybe smaller projects like mine got lost, miscommunicated, etc.The solar panels work and produce fine and so far no issues since all the corrections. They even offered to do a review on production. Which seems nice. Nothing stands out more compared to other companies after all the inconvenienceAnd I was asked about 10 or more times to revise or add to the original review below.-------------‐---All the sparkling reviews and great sales attention made the signing up and getting people to come out and estimate was quick process and Bobby sold us well and kept good contact. I thought I made a great choice.NOW THE BAD!!!When it was our time to install. they installed the panels fine but it seems the microinverter which converts the power was incorrect as well as the fuse box installation. they needed to come back and we waited patiently. Finally 1 month after the installation it produces. Now we are still getting billed from SCE when we asked the technician and Donna whether before we get approved after final inspection we didn’t have to pull from the grid and can use the solar energy we produced. Not true. We have now wasted 2 months since installation with no benefit and spending more than we expected. Awful and feel ripped off having spent over $800 on bills we thought we wouldnt have to.All things seemed good and right until we were handed to the Forme Solar Admin Team, Donna and company, things seemed to have been miscommunicated and misinformation on the process. Lots of back and forth was unclear. Technicians saying one thing and then staff reporting something else. And not mention a large part of the dialogue was over email vs a simple phone call which left even more things confusing. Lost messages relayed to who know where and the delay in time when things could have been answered for final approval to SCE.When will our solar work and we don’t have to pay our premium?

Thinking about going solar in California? Forme would be a great choice. Theyve been around the Los Angeles area and are a solid company.Ive had my fair share of experiences with different companies in the past, and generally not been impressed. But Forme Solar was a different story. Nilda, their energy advisor, really knew her stuff and answered all our questions with confidence. She even went above and beyond by helping us find ways to improve our homes overall energy efficiency beyond just solar.After getting the HOA approvals and dealing with permits, the installation phase kicked off. The install crew, had to battle a week of high winds but despite the setbacks, they pulled through and got the job done professionally. They answered questions and were super nice to deal with.Still in the first year of going solar but everything up to this point has gone as good as expected. Their attention to detail, long term experience in the business and being a local company makes it a no brainer to recommend Forme Solar!

Id been thinking about getting solar ever since I got my EV about 6 months ago and I spent a ton of time online doing my research to find a good local solar company. After talking to about four different companies, I wound up speaking with Bobby at Forme Solar. I noticed the difference immediately! At no time was I ever pressured into buying and he was so good about answering my questions even if it was on the weekend. Most importantly, he was very transparent about pricing and actually help me understand the proposals I had received from the other companies. Not once did he say anything negative about the competition and I really appreciated that. Even though there was one company that was a little bit cheaper, I chose to go with Bobby and the team at Forme Solar because of the truly stress-free sales experience and their reputation. I even got to speak to a few of their repair customers and all the feedback I received was very positive. When no one else was willing to repair their system, for me stepped up and always got these systems back up and running! Even the one customer who had written a negative review told me that despite all the challenges with his project, the team at Forme Solar stayed with the project until everything was resolved. As a business owner myself, this matters a lot to me because mistakes will always happen and how a company chooses to own it makes all the difference in the world. These guys definitely own it and I was very comfortable choosing Forme Solar as my installer because I know they will be there when I need them. As far as the ease of the process, once I signed an agreement with them, they were quick to schedule an appointment to come to look at my roof then soon after to come to install. Our home’s roof was over 15 years old and we were trying to get a reroof. It was tough getting a quote because we had solar. We called our original solar installer and a few other local solar companies on Yelp only to find that they could only install solar panels. What good is that?? So it took a few weeks for us to get bids for both our roof repair and solar panel removal. We ended up picking Forme Solar because they were able to do both at a reasonable cost. We didn’t want to have to deal with two different companies to coordinate removing the 19 panels on our roof with the new roof. They weren’t the cheapest but seemed to be the most reputable. We are thrilled that we ended up picking them. It took less time to do all of the work than it did to get the bids. They even repositioned the solar panels to look a lot nicer on our home as well.They were responsive and seemed to be on top of their work.

I wasnt totally sold on the idea of solar power for our home when my husband and I first discussed it. The Forme Solar Electric representatives were helpful in articulating the benefits and most importantly the costs. Throughout the process they were patient and professional, keeping us updated with any changes. Our installation was delayed until we fixed the roof shingles, and they were able to help us with that. I am writing this review after having had our solar system installed for a couple weeks now.My initial search for a solar company started late last year. Our family realized we werent going back to the office or school anytime soon and so our electric bill continued to stay above $250. We decided it was time to look at our options.Some of our friends had gotten their solar system from other companies and sent us their recommendations. I also went on EnergySage, and of course Yelp to get a few more.In total I looked at several vendors and compared them side by side. This meant making sure they quoted the same brand of panels (we opted for REC370 Alpha series), the same size system, and offered the same warranty. I got quotes as high as $42k (Sun Energy...wth right? outrageous proposal!). This is why its so critical for you to do your research and make sure you get multiple bids.Anyhow we chose Forme because their reviews were top notch, their communication friendly and prompt, and their price was competitive if not the best out of the bunch.Our service representative Bobby was always available when we had any questions. I liked that everything was digital so we were able to sign documents online too. Everything from start to finish was a breeze, they sent me the design over email to review and approve, they handled all the permits from the city, paperwork with SCE, and on day of install they made sure to clean up and not leave any debris around once they were all done. The Forme team was always respectful and followed covid protocols by wearing masks too.My only concerns were they dont always communicate with you on the time for when they will show up. I had to text Bobby or Terry for things like when the electrician would arrive, or when the stucco was going to be repaired, etc. But honestly this was MINOR compared to the grand scheme of things because they really did a great job on our install. I looked closely at the installation work and its all very clean and professionally done. No weird wires, no discolored pipes, no odd or ends sticking out, just a really well done install that any home owner can be proud of.At the end of it and in line with social distancing protocols, nick conducted a zoom meeting with my husband and I so we could learn how to use the app to see our energy production. He showed the different layouts and various ways of looking at the data.Im very pleased with Forme and would not hesitate to recommend or refer them to anyone! I initially spoke with Forme Solar about five months ago to see if solar would make sense for our home. We evaluated a LOT of different solar installers and Forme Solar really impressed us. They emphasized the quality of the installation and focus less on the equipment. Made sense. Great value and great price. We had Forme Solar put a 7.2 kw solar system on our roof. When they came to install the solar panels on our roof, they weren’t intrusive. The part that took the longest was the permit process. It took roughly 2 weeks for the city to approve our plans. The moment I started to wonder if there was a delay, they sent me an update that the permit process was taking longer than expected. #mindreaders They took care of everything.

Our system was just activated! We looked on Yelp at a few different solar installers near us. We ended up picking Orme Solar to put LG solar panels on our roof. We had an upfront cost that allows us to breakeven after 6 years. Afterwards, no electricity bills! Happy we went with Orme Solar, they gave me a detailed proposal telling me what equipment they were installing, how much it would cost, impact on my electric bill and when I should expect a payback. The install team was friendly and professional. Appreciated that they took the time to clean up properly as well. They made the whole process very easy and even gave me the necessary tax documents to get my 30% tax credit.

I had an issue with the solar we have. Cable got disconnected. The company installed is out business but thanks to ForMe Solar especially the customer service peoples and Omar the technician. The technician-Omar showed up in timely manner and fixed my 20 panels expeditiously. They are highly recommendable. I wish that there is like maintenance people that will check my 20 panels in various time.Omar did an excellent job. Had a terrible experience initially with the sales process but was able to find a provider I trusted at a price I could afford. The forme solar completed the onsite work in one day, installing, configuring, and color-coding the pipe with wires (my friends setup for a similar number of panels took 3 days). Things look beautiful. The guys broke two shingles, but this is not a big deal at all and something I expected to happen anyway due to the enormous size of the work. Whats important they were upfront about it and came back the next day to replace the broken shingles, which was much appreciated. So A+ team.During the entire process Bobby answered all of my questions and helped me make the decisions for the type and number of panels and the loan type that worked best for my goals.Highly recommended.

These guys have been great since I started working with them. I needed a second opinion on some changes to my current solar system, since the company I installed with ghosted me after the install was done.They were incredibly insightful, honest, and knowledgeable about their product and solar in general. Theyre not just about the sale, they want their customers to be happy with the solutions they provide. The original installer I had promised me things that I later learned were impossible with the system they gave me. Forme Solar went into extensive detail as to why this would be impossible, and what they would have done differently to make it possible. Working with their customers every step of the way was one of those things.I cant speak personally to their quality of installs, since I only got a consultation with them. But I can say for certain, after talking with them, they know what theyre doing and will provide you with something youll definitely be happy with.I fully intend to use them for my next property soon. Ive been hesitant about getting solar panels, especially when Id get stopped by sales reps at Home Depot or Costco. Id get intrigued but then Google reviews would show their customer service is terrible. Orme Solar is different. Leannes mission is transparency and customer service. I started my first contact in September and signed the contract to install the panels to my home on Oct 7, 2021. They seem punctual and responsible, thus I even convinced 3 more friends homes. Since the contract signing, someone came to my home to access and thereafter, there have been no responses from Forme Solar for over 2 months. My friend and I texted Leanne, CEO, and inquired about the progress. (At the time of signing the contract, we were told estimated time of installation was by Thanksgiving.)Leanne replied saying my home is ready to install with all the permits done and she is just awaiting supplies. ( It has been over 70 days since the signing and I expected her updates before I texted her, but I was just happy the panels will soon be installed. There was no additional update so I texted her again and I received an email saying my installation can take place on Jan 26, 2022. (This email came on Jan 12, 2022) Two days later I received a phone call from someone at Forme Solar bluntly asking if I had gone my HOAs online portal requesting the permit to be approved..... This was a shock as I had no idea the permit had not been approved, much less I found out they probably have not even applied. I questioned Leanne the CEO and her excuse was that she just wanted to fit me in for installation and didnt know the permit was not approved...... Hmmm I told her to resolve the permit issue immediately or else I will cancel the contract. ( Who would want to cancel the contract if you waited over 90 days after signing the contract.)That night someone named Terry, a CTO, mentioning it was a misunderstanding as if it was my misunderstanding thinking the permit was approved. I then felt they are full of excuses and cancelled my contract.I notified my other friend of my cancellation and he then told me he JUST received an email about getting neighbor signature. In other words, he signed the contract at the same time, but it took Forme Solar 90 days to ask him to cooperate for HOA approval.All 4 of my friends including me cancelled the contracts with Forme as they never admitted that they goofed not having followed up till 90 days later.We found a new solar company and first thing they asked me is to get 2 signatures from my neighbors and pay deposit that is required by my HOA. I have never been asked such and I seriously doubt if Forme even applied for permit to my HOA for 90 days.....Dont get me wrong. Leanne the CEO was not rude, but she seemed not to have involved actively with the daily work process. I expected her to admit that no one in her company followed up for our permit processes, but her excuse saying my HOA has not approved the permit; just sounded like a lame lie.I am amazed about these people giving good reviews and even doubt if they are real. (Maybe they are real but so is my review...) If Forme thinks I have not stated facts, I am willing to provide copies of emails and texts.I am just not convinced their company is staffed properly to handle multiple accounts and as well, can provide A/S service for next 25 years.I and my friends have wasted over 90 days and we had to start with a new company, which at least is very punctual.I have never written a review, however I am just too compelled to write one!!

These guys were great. Asked them to come look at solar for my moms house in the valley. They wore masks walking up and were very respectful about social distancing.Bobby and Nick explained everything, from the process, to the installation, and the system. They werent pushy to sell. It had a payback of less than 6 years and I won’t be paying anything for electricity for decades.I reviewed 4 proposals and decided to have Orme install the system because I liked their personal level of communication. Been worrying about our electricity bills, and had called Forme Solar Electric to come out to see what they could do about my home. Bobby was professional and set up a call explaining my quote and answering all of my questions about solar and batteries. They were able to figure out how to design my solar system to match my $200/mo electricity bill. I was kinda nervous moving forward with the process, but they made sure to answer all my questions. They kept me updated with emails, and plenty of phone calls. From the permit process, installation, inspection, monitoring, dealing with SCE they took care of everything. 5 STAR SERVICE for the quality of work they did and the peace-of-mind they provided. After another year of savings we now plan on getting a Tesla Powerwall for our home. Customer service was top notch.

Safety and speed was a priority. Leanne wore a mask during our on site evaluation and helped me determine the best solar panel package for my home. Even the solar panel installers wore a mask and made sure to socially distance. They just helped me activate my solar with Edison. Took about 5 weeks. Easy process. Only issue I had was that the permit process with the city took about 3 weeks.

My original solar installer is no longer around so I contacted a few places. Spoke with Leanne over the phone and helped diagnose the my problem. Was absolutely amazed with the savings that solar could bring. My SCE bill went down from the 300s to $10 per month for the connection fee.I shopped around for a few months for a solar installation company near me and got various quotes and feedback from companies. Started speaking with Jack @Orme and helped answer all of the questions that I have been skeptical with from other companies. From the payment structure and the timeline of savings, was able to understand exactly how much I would be saving.From the system that we have we will be getting a 111% return and was able to get the 30% tax credit.The install process was a little rocky at first but ended better than expected. Donnee the head installer was professional and went out of his way to come back the next day to clean up after his team. Didn’t pay a dime, and saved more than $100/ month going solar. Loved how simple ORME Solar made this process from our first contact through the final paperwork, I have nothing but the highest praise for everyone we worked with at ORME.Mike oversaw our entire job meeting with us and following up with a detailed estimate outlining each step of the job in the proposal. From there, he was available by phone and email to answer all questions, coordinating the entire project with multiple different contractors. This was not an easy job, as there were additional questions from the city regarding the permit paperwork to dealing with other contractors.Even though Mike was responsible for the solar portion of the project, he followed up with the other contractors and the city to ensure that all of the necessary paperwork was in place and move forward with the job.I wish it went smoothly from there, but there were still a few hiccups along the way. Issues with the HVAC parts and schedule were creating delays. Again, ORME stepped up and worked with the contractor to have the problems corrected even though this meant that Donnee, another amazing member of the ORME team made additional trips to the house to make sure all of the work was being done properly.Mike and Terry were extremely personable and knowledgeable following up on the smallest of details. Contacted 4 different solar companies. Got proposals for both lease and purchase options. Orme Solar was the only one I didn’t feel as though I was getting the run around. From my first interaction, everyone was friendly, knowledgable, and timely. My decision to go with Orme Solar rested on their amazing quote which was far lower than any other PPA option. The other companies were able to provide “incentives” to match but I appreciated Orme Solar’s honest and up front approach. My solar stopped working. Found out that the issue was with my sunnyboy inverter. So I called SMA and they required the installation of the new replacement inverter to be installed on my home. Looked for a solar repair company in Los Angeles to service my system. Within a few days, Forme Solar Electric inspected the system, ordered the part and had it installed. I found Forme Solar after comparing 7 solar companies. 4 were local solar companies, and a few large solar installers like Tesla solar. I went with Forme because they were helpful and responsive. Their pricing was super competitive and the team was helpful in getting the project completed. My success manager at Forme gave me updates. It took a while waiting for the permit but after that point everything went by quickly. Helpful. Responsive. Good information.Glad I went with black panels and microinverters.
