Amie Ferry is truly amazing to work with. We were new to the area and had no idea how to begin finding a house. Amie was extremely helpful. She made the buying process so easy. She was extremely responsive and attentive. We never had any scheduling issues, and she always responded to our calls and messages promptly. She was able to answer all of our questions, and she was very patient while we searched for our new home. Also, while we were in escrow, she was fantastic about finding us contractors and arranging for appointments. Not only is Amie extremely competent and professional, but she is also just a really nice person. It was a pleasure to work with her and I would strongly recommend Folsom Lake Realty.

We just closed on our new home today, and it has been truly awesome that we got to work with Taylor Mitchell from Folsom Lake Realty for purchasing our home.Taylor made the entire home search process feel manageable. She supported us every step of the way, especially when we were disappointed because some of our offers were out-bid in the sellers-market conditions. Taylor encouraged us to be patient and kept us focused on finding the exact homes that match most of our criteria.Taylor is kind, professional, easy to work with, and yet persistent. My wife and I have been in the market for our first home for over a year. Initially we used a realtor recommended by a family member. Our overall experience was very disappointing and subpar. The agent was never available and our needs and requests for showings felt like a burden. As our search continued, we ran into Taylor Ferry with Folsom Lake Realty at an open house and knew she was our new agent! As homes within our search criteria became available we scheduled tours and have had all of our questions answered. Throughout the entire search process, Taylor was very professional and patient with us. Based on a friends recommendation, I chose Mark & Amie Ferry of Folsom Lake Realty to help sell my aunts house in Pollock Pines. An added complication in the sales process was that it was done under probate, with myself as executor but living far from the area. Mark & Amie detailed the process, laid out and explained their strategy for the sale while giving me a chance to have input, and followed through at each and every step. They kept me informed on progress and were always available to discuss questions or concerns I had. Their extensive network of contacts with contractors and service providers allowed me, with their help, to easily manage repairs, maintenance and upgrades of the property remotely. The overall strategy they recommended and helped implement worked perfectly, yielding a good sales price, in a constrained time frame, with a minimum of fuss. Mark and Amy are incredible!! We recently relocated our family from the Bay area to El Dorado Hills. We knew very little about the area and during our initial call Mark filled us in on all of the exciting things to do up here. Mark and Amie have lived in the community for decades and raised their kids here. They are beyond knowledgeable about El Dorado Hills, Granite Bay, Folsom and surrounding areas. We fell in love with the first house we toured, and Mark and Amy immediately went into action. It was an incredibly competitive situation with 15 offers (cash offers etc) and Mark formulated a strategy that ultimately won us the house! We were not the highest offer either. Throughout the bidding process, he never encouraged us to offer more than he felt was necessary (that would have been the easy solution), but instead worked incredibly diligently and expertly to ensure we were always in the mix of competitive bids, then secured the house at the end. He has incredible interpersonal skills, amazing relationships in the community, and so much experience in this market. Every day my husband and I feel so grateful that we had Mark negotiating on our behalf. We toured a few more houses (in case something fell through) and I cant express how quickly and positively Mark and his team responded to getting us into any house we wanted to see. Once we were under contract, Amy handled all details needed to close (inspections etc etc). She is incredibly savvy, very knowledgeable about construction, and detail, detail, detail oriented. Throughout the entire escrow process, Amy was totally in our court, making sure nothing was overlooked in the inspections, and advocating on our behalf. Even though Mark and Amie had committed hours of work, we always felt that if we werent happy with the inspections (roof, pool, house etc) then we could get out of the contract and start the house search again. We really felt that they cared about our family and wanted us to love our new home.

WOW! Where to begin?!From the first time I called Mark for advice, months before I decided to sell, until the day we closed, Mark and Amie were nothing short of spectacular. I called Mark before I even decided to list my home. We talked and met two times before I signed on. Mark was very knowledgeable about the area my home was in, gave great advice to situations I had not thought of, gave me referrals to other services and I had not even agreed to use Folsom Lake Realty yet. I felt completely at ease talking with Mark and Amie. Every time I called they either answered or got back to me in less than 24 hours. Since they own the business they did not have to ask their boss for permission or assistance. They know their stuff! I loved that Mark presented a selling strategy plan. He explained how he would like to market my home, when the best times for listing would be and why. Folsom Lake Realty uses a professional photographer not their iPhone to produce beautiful advertisements of our home to show its best features. I loved that Mark and Amie are a team and have the sales agent/broker approach to their work. This made for some real easy transitions with the sale of my home and the purchase of our next home. Even though Mark and Amie were not able to represent me in the purchase of my next home(no broker co-op developer) they did not hesitate to assist me in the process of communication with my new home purchase. Real estate transactions can be very stressful times and can lead to some sticky situations. Mark and Amie kept their cool throughout the entire process. Mark and Amie helped me sell my house in Folsom at 1076 Callander Way, back in 2006. They were awesome! They have excellent market expertise. The set up the sale of the house so people were hungry to see it the day it went for sale. We sold the house right away and got exactly what we wanted for it. Mark and Amie are very tech savvy which helps them to be very responsive, which is important in todays market place. In fact, since then, Mark has helped my with several tech tips that have been very helpful to me in my profession. Mark and Amie have great personalities and are a lot of fun to be around. It is worth noting that Mark and Amie also were my buyers agents when I bought the house that they eventually sold for me. They were great at helping me pick out the right house at the right time. We recently listed our home in Rocklin with Mark and Amie and the house sold in a few days with 7 bidders. Our sales price was almost 5% above our asking price. My wife and I started our long distance home search in El Dorado Hills around October 2013. We lived in a small townhouse 10+ years in the Bay Area (Los Gatos) 150 miles from El Dorado Hills. This was a time when inventory was short and there were many buyers in the market, some of whom were putting all cash offers. We needed someone local with experience, insight, knowledge and excellent negotiating skills to be able to get our offer accepted. We came to Yelp and found Mark & Amie Ferry - excellent Yelp reviews (Folsom Lake Realty).The first weekend I went up alone (5 hours round trip too much to handle with small kids on a regular basis) to see houses with Mark, he literally covered most of El Dorado Hills, and I got a feel for different areas and neighborhoods. Mark was able to provide me with lots of background information on each area, highlighting the pros and cons of each and when we were looking at houses, he pointed out potential problems, that I would have completely missed. At the end of the first day we were already starting to narrow our focus to more specific areas and had a much better understanding of what we wanted.We were not in a rush buying and over a period of approximately 6 months Mark showed probably 30+ houses if not even more. He was always very honest with us, what we have to look for and what is important, from the area, school districts all the way to the quality of the home and neighborhood. He kept us informed about new listings, drove by or visited for me, ran comps on properties I liked and set up appointments - he was tireless. Whenever I had a request or question, he was on it, always getting back to me in a timely fashion, all while maintaining a relaxed, no pressure attitude. We put in offers on two houses - the first one went into a bidding war, that got out of our range, while the second worked out flawlessly, thanks to Mark & Amies negotiation skills (and in retrospect we are so glad we didnt get that first house!)Mark & Amie use DocuSign, so we were able to sign most of the important paperwork via email rather than have to print, sign and fax. Mark and Amie are a breath of fresh air. I have never been more impressed by two people’s work ethic than these two. We just moved from southern California to El Dorado Hills. We were referred to Mark on a whim and thank god we were. From the first conversation I knew I was talking to someone that was going to find us exactly what we wanted. Now obviously that’s what an agent is supposed to do but I don’t think I have worked with someone that really goes out of his way to make sure his client has all the info and is getting exactly what they want. We were in the process of selling our home in southern California and were running into some issues with our agent. Mark actually got on the phone with our other agent on our behalf to get everything straightened out. After we got all those things fixed we then were ready to go looking for houses. We weren’t too familiar with the area of Folsom and El Dorado Hills so wanted to make sure we moved to the area that fit us. We then flew up north and met Mark and spent the whole day looking at houses and him showing us the area. It was like going on a tour he is so knowledgeable about the area it was impressive. I felt like I was driving around with a buddy checking out a new area. I think his best skill set is his communication and how to read a person. It didn’t take him long to hone in on what was really important to us and then our personality to put us in the area that was the best fit. Which happened to be in the same community he lives in. We looked at 15 houses and pinned it down to two. Mark was very aggressive in our offers and negotiating with the seller’s agent. We were constantly updated with where we were in the negotiations until we closed on our home. Now that we found the house and have an accepted agreement in steps Amie. She is just as great to work with as Mark. She is very detail oriented and does not let anything slip by. She ordered our inspections quickly and then went through every item very closely. We negotiated with the sellers to get everything fixed and a credit for things they didn’t want to fix. She facetimed with me on numerous occasions to look at things in the house that she thought needed to be addressed and then contacted whomever was needed to get it resolved. On top of all that after the sale she has been helping me get the things that I wanted fixed on the house before we move in. Keep in mind the sale is over and done but that hasn’t stopped us working together. They made what was a difficult situation because we were not in the area a very easy and enjoyable purchase. I will use Mark and Amie on any future purchases or sales and will refer them to anyone looking to buy or sell a home.
