I have had extensive physical therapy at Focus and it has been wonderful.Julian has been my primary therapist and his treatments on both hip and shoulder have gotten me back on track for good mobility as well as my exercise regime.All of the staff are kind and efficient . I highly recommend this facility .

I highly recommend Focus Physical Therapy!!I was experiencing extreme pain, very limited mobility and loss of strength in my shoulder. This prompted complete shoulder replacement surgery. Focus (Julian and Alyssa) were instrumental in my rehabilitation and recovery. From the beginning, when I had limited mobility, they put me on a PT plan that built back my strength and increased my mobility. The program was extremely thorough and effective. Focus PT has great experience and is well organized in guiding me to completion. They knew exactly the right activities as well as when and where to push.Focus set me up for success where the in-person sessions were very effective and impactful towards my return to normal. In addition, they taught me how to conduct the exercises on my own and emphasized the importance of putting in work on my own each day I was not at PT.Thank you so much for making my recovery effective and successful. I feel great!!!

Entire staff were caring and actually wanted to get me healthy again. Seemed like one big family in their aim to correct my neck issues. Talked with other patients and found Focus PT went above and beyond in their patient care compared to some other PT’s.

Everyone in this physical therapy center are very knowledgeable and are good listeners . Every time I had different issue which at the end all issues were connected and with me describing issues, they knew what to do .with total of 8 sessions that I had without prescription, I already feel a lot better in my back and my balance. Focus PT is outstanding! I had pain above my knee where I could barely walk downstairs or get up from sitting. Focus PT cured me after just a few visits. Great physical therapy team who work together to provide a seamless experience that aides in the healing process. Matt has been amazing in planning and direct therapy. He seems to instinctively know where to apply pressure and when it lighten up. Everyone is friendly and helpful. No problem scheduling appointments to fit my daily routine and staff are very accommodating when I need to change times or dates.

I had a possible meniscus tear in my right knee and was in pain and forgot how to walk right. Julien worked out the kinks starting on day 1 and Matthew has been working with my knee and it feels a 100% better. He had been able to determine the source of my knee discomfort and was able to zero in on what we can do to make it better. As a result I am back to doing Pilates and now very aware of how I move my knee in order to prevent future injuries.Also what stretch to do when it hurts in certain places. Everyone at Focus is very dedicated to making us all feel better. Highly recommend Focus!

Im very active and have been training for a marathon since Nov 2019. Ive been to my fair share of chiropractors, PTs and massage therapists. What a GIFT it was when I found Julian at Focus PT before I began my focused training for the 2022 Chicago Marathon. Julian listened to me, evaluated where my imbalances existed and treated me to prevent injury and resolved issues that popped up during my training. I also so appreciate that when a traditional treatment effort didnt work great for me, he adapted treatment to meet my needs (ex. working my calves in end range of motion, helping me create a personalized pre-run warm-up routine, a-stem, deep tissue work, etc) My goal when I entered his office was to run pain free and to run the marathon injury free - both of which I can say have happened thanks to his excellent care. My 2022 Chicago Marathon was one of the best experiences of my life, and thanks to training properly, excellent nutrition and Julian at Focus PT, I finished with smile on my face, a PR and injury free!

I went to Focus Physical Therapy for a shoulder problem. I have been very impressed with Julian... he is a highly skilled, thoughtful, and caring physical therapist and I would definitely recommend him. Also, the team that guides you through your exercises on the floor, Elisa, Juan and others, are well trained, very helpful and also fun to work with. Focus Physical Therapy is a top notch knowledgeable & immaculate facility !! Julian & his staff are kind and caring. It was my first call for my son in hopes for a same day appointment with Julian. Julian was completely booked, I wanted my son to see only him as he did wonders for my daughter that was a competitive gymnast. I couldn’t believe it, their schedule was full but sweet Kieran wanted to accommodate my son as his first league game was approaching. Julian worked on my sons quad along with a heat laser treatment. Since then my son has been seen by some of the staff and has had a great experiences! Their hands on approach has helped my son immensely, he looks forward to going. I highly recommend Focus PT!!

I had a Knee Replacement it was my 5th knee surgery. I’m not an easy patient. I get a lot of inflammation. Needless to say I spent a lot of time at Focus PT. Everyone at Focus is really nice, helpful and accommodating, from the front desk to the PT assistants and the PT’s. I worked with most of the PTs at least once.Mainly Olita who is wonderful. Very kind and supportive she really got me working hard early in my treatment. She was always making sure I was not in too much pain. She was very helpful. I also worked a lot with Julian. He is a bit more aggressive if you are ready for that . He is great at trying different things to see what works best at different stages of recovery. Then there is Alyssa PT assistant. She was so very helpful to me. She was on me to do everything correct ALWAYS!! I love her for that. She really pushed me to do my best. I can tell you one thing for certain. They care about your recovery and take it very seriously. Julian also made me laugh a lot and that was what made it fun. He sets the tone of his office work hard and get good results and leave happy. If I had to spend as much time as I did with a group of people I feel blessed that it was with Julian and his great team. I walked away feeling great about my knee and they even helped my arms and my core .I’m overall in much better shape than when I walked into their office. So do not hesitate to go to Focus. You will be in great hands literally!!

I have been treated at many different PT practices over the years, and I like Focus Physical Therapy the most of all of them. All of the therapists and assistants, and staff are great, very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. And the office itself is aesthetically nice, with a good set up. Some PT places have all the tables set up next to each other in an open room, so you have little to no privacy. But here, each therapist has a semi private room so you can talk without other patients overhearing or seeing things. They offer many types of treatments, including hands-on, exercises, laser, and StemWave. I went in for help recovering from foot surgery, and made a huge amount of progress over my time there.

Focus Physical Therapy dramatically helped with my rotator cuff recovery. The StemWave therapy is incredible and really relieved my pain and increased my mobility within a couple appointments. I have been going to Focus PT twice a week for low back pain and hip pain. I am beginning to feel relief when walking and not so painful. Massage of tight muscles is used, a long with stretching exercises daily. Ending with ice and electrode stimulation on affected area. I had total total knee replacement and had excellent therapy by Bryant for three months afterwards. He would always asks how I did between appointments and then adapt my treatment based on this. The assistants also were very patient and helpful with my exercises. I was always better after I left.and was so grateful to have been recommended to Focus by a friend. My experience at Focus PT has been wonderful. I started PT there to build strength around my arthritic hip. The PT helped a lot with my strength and mobility until it was time for a hip replacement, which I had a year ago. I then had more PT sessions at Focus after the surgery which I feel has enhanced my recovery. Im super grateful to Julian and Nona, my physical therapists. Over the past 30 years, I have had an array of orthopedic problems and have gone to several different therapy clinics in both North and South Orange County. I have been going to Focus Physical Therapy for 6 years and can honestly say they are the best! I have always found the Physical Therapists and support staff there to be knowledgeable, professional, caring and really devoted to delivering the best and most current, hands-on approaches to Physical Therapy utilizing the most up to date technology. I really like that they always listen to me, take time to understand my needs and design a program of exercises that are functional so they carry over to improving my individual lifestyle and daily activities (like dancing at my niece’s wedding). I recently saw Julian, Olita, Bryant and Jean for therapy after my second knee replacement in April. I am in my 70’s and I am proud to say that I have full range of motion, and well on my way to achieving my goal of hiking 3 to 4 miles a day (with elevation gain of 150 to 200’) with no pain!!! I read that physical therapy can work wonders even for severe injuries... so I gave it a try. Was amazed to find out that specific movements and foam rolling was all that was needed to fix this (the pain was severe and I thought there was something substantially wrong).What I really appreciated about this whole process was that they are willing to go through the effort to teach you how to resolve your pain at home. The physical therapy they provide in the office is great, but the fact that they give you the resources to fix while at home is exceptionally. HIGHLY recommended.

Focus PT is the only practice I recommend for any physical therapy needs. Olita and the staff have provided me with expert care following a torn rotator cuff and extreme pain from a pinched neck nerve. Olita’s mastery of tissue mobilization combined with gentle stretching has dramatically improved my quality of life. And the routine of exercises, stretching and strength conditioning not only help during my appointments, but have set me up to manage my physical health on my own. I am currently working with her and the staff to alleviate chronic lower back pain and muscle tightness and, after only a few treatments, I’m feeling better than I have in years. Focus Physical Therapy in RSM was very helpful in taking care of me for a few months earlier this year after breaking both my ankles in a freak ski accident. My main therapist was Shannon, who was very patient and caring, and made sure we started out slowly so I could feel successful and then progress faster later. The other therapists were good as well as all the assistants who would help with directing my exercises. The business is well-run and I am happy to recommend it for anyone who needs Physical Therapy. Since leaving, I have had the confidence to continue on my own with daily walking and physical training, moving toward the level of fitness I had before the accident.

Had a total right knee replacement 14 years ago, the scar tissue caused the discomfort on my right knee for many years.After visiting half a dozen orthopedic surgeons and X-ray on the right knee during those years, the diagnosis of the replaced knee was always, The replacement is fine.Finally I visited Dr. Nader Nassif from the Newport Orthopedic Institute this year, Dr. Nassif just recommended Physical Therapy and no revision surgery.Had received several service from Focus Physical Therapy before and very satisfied, so I chose this provider again. I had wonderful experience at Focus Physical Therapy being treated for my left ankle post surgery and arthritis issues. The hands-on treatment by Olita eased the pain and stiffness in my ankle. Now I could walk better, go down the stairs and even sleep better. Olita prescribed me special exercises that strengthen my feet. The therapists helping with exercises are also very caring, patient and kind. First, Olita would do a deep massage in the ankle and calf area and it gradually releases the muscle tension that was brought by pain. Next, having the ankle muscle relaxed by the massage, I would do special exercises to increase flexibility and build the strength in the ankle. And the last part was the ice applied during electro stimulation of the painful area. The ten cycles of that treatment made a huge difference in my ability to use my left foot without pain.That is my second time at Focus Physical Therapy. I was treated here by Olita 2 years ago and had very good results and decided to come here again. Moreover, I live in Dana Point and it is a half an hour drive each way for me, but it is entirely worth it. Olita is very knowledgeable and attentive therapist and cares about the patient. The entire team, from the receptionists to therapist assistants have very high standards in caring for patients, work effectively and very well organized. After knee surgery for an insufficiency fracture and a minor meniscus tear I attended physical therapy (PT) at a different facility. I was able to strengthen my knee, but I was still experiencing pain when I moved certain ways. I hoped the pain would eventually go away, but it did not. I began to believe that I would always have this pain.Then my wife began attending Focus Physical Therapy in Rancho Santa Margarita for PT for her shoulder issue. She told me that Julian was really making a difference in her case and that I should try PT again at Focus PT.I began PT sessions there and it has really helped. Julian’s approach is far different from what most PT centers offer. He spends 20 to 30 minutes each session performing hands on manipulation of the affected area. He works to get to the cause of the pain. He then focuses on manipulating muscle and tissue with the goal of realigning the joint and muscles and strengthening the surrounding muscles that support the joint. He then prescribes exercises that are specifically selected to both strengthen and re-train the muscles and their support tissues for your specific case. You are not just given generic exercises for the knee.Since I began with Focus Physical Therapy I have seen remarkable improvement. My pain has diminished a lot and the types of movements or incidents that cause the pain are fewer. After having shoulder pain for almost a year, I went to the Rotator Cuff Workshop offered by Foxus Physical Therapy. I’ve never done PT before but I signed up to come in the next morning to start. After my first visit, the intense shoulder pain was greatly reduced. I’ve been going for almost three weeks now and my pain is almost completely gone. Now my physical therapist, Laura W., is working on rebuilding strength in my muscles to keep the shoulder pain away. I had surgery on BOTH of my knees for torn meniscus. I was ambulatory right away but noticed my muscles had atrophied and could not bend my knees more than 90 degrees.I became so depressed. I thought my knees wouldnt bend again and I wouldnt dance or teach dance fitness again. My mom in-law had used Focus PT after her foot surgeries and has ALL function due to Focus so she referred me.I can tell you that Focus performs miracles. Im 4 months post surgery and I can bend my knees to almost my tuchus and Im able to take dance class! I am positive that Ill be able to teach, once Im healed completely.I worked with Julian, who is so friendly, positive and great sense of humor. He took an assessment, asked me what my goals are then assured me Id be back to normal, doing what I love. I seldom write reviews, but I felt that I really needed to write this review so that I can help others who may be in search of quality physical therapy. I have undergone physical therapy three times including this current time. My first experience close to ten years ago was just alright.I am currently suffering from frozen shoulder due to a bad fall. I had five sessions at another physical therapy clinic here in Rancho Santa Margarita, where I was NOT getting better. I then decided to switch and try Focus Physical Therapy per recommendation by an acupuncturist, Dr. Ghaffarian. What a difference! I have now had four sessions with Julian Manrique of Focus Physical Therapy and it has made a world of difference in my condition. I am rapidly getting better with each session. From the very first visit, I knew that Julian was a different type of physical therapist. He is a hands on guy who works with the patient for nearly 30-minutes before you are turned over to an aide to help you perform the exercises and undergo heat or cold pack treatments, electrical stimulation, etc.During my initial evaluation session with Julian, he did a deep tissue massage and manipulated my shoulders using both his hands and equipment. After just that first session I felt far better than when I had walked in the door and far far better than after undergoing five sessions of physical therapy at the other clinic! The treatment at that other clinic in RSM was a joke. The therapist just massaged me for 1 minute then left me with the aide. The aide would quickly teach me the exercises then leave me alone to perform those exercises. Both the therapist and aide where nowhere around to check on me to see whether I was doing the exercises correctly. I felt I was better off doing my exercises at home since I was being left alone anyway. I can understand if there are many patients but I was the only patient four out of my five visits and there were only two of us in my one visit out of the five. I was very discouraged I thought all physical therapy clinics operated the same until I met Julian Manrique of Focus Physical Therapy. I call Julian a magician! After Julian worked on me the first time, we tested my range of motion and my arm strength. Wow, my range of motion and my arm strength had already improved a great deal in just half a session! My husband who came with me to my first session witnessed the whole thing and was himself astounded.Julian and Focus Physical Therapy is the real deal. I believe I have found a physical therapist for life. I believe my frozen shoulder condition will be resolved very quickly with Julian, and if I ever need to undergo physical therapy again in the future I will definitely choose Julian of Focus Physical Therapy. He is simply the BEST! Dont waste your time at other physical therapy clinics. Try Julian of Focus Physical Therapy and you won’t ever regret it! You’ll be glad and thankful you did.

In early September. I went to this clinic with no pain after my three P.R.P. injections on my neck, that caused $2600.00 from my own pocket. The doctor sent me there to do some exercise building neck muscles and back muscles. I told them so to begin with. But the therapist kept focusing on mobility and made me turn my neck and head wildly in all direction including bending it backward, causing me acute pain. After the first secession, my pain returned and I have Level 5 pain, in my wrist along my arm muscles, and some tinkling + numb sensation. The I asked to work with the owner. I went in he too talked about only mobility even I told him I felt the pinch and the sever pain returned... Not only my right arm, hand but I have a lot of pain on my right side of the back, where my muscles knotted, with stabbing pain. He told me to lie down on my stomach, then starting press all over my neck hard with his thumbs. I was screaming loud with pain, he was laughing, Oh, you really have a lot of pain. said he. I walked out of the place in half hour I felt stabbing pain all over and at night I could not sleep . I had to take muscle relaxant at night and anti-inflammatory during the day. I called them to inform them of my condition and canceled all my future appointments . They offered one complimentary laser treatment only as compensation. I have been seeing pain management doctor since, and just have had the second epidural injection . I will have to do the third one in order to calm down the nerves that got pinched badly by the physical therapists .This was my painful ordeal there.
