Our family has been visiting Focal Point Optometry in Fullerton for several years now. The exams are always very thorough, the staff is very helpful and the Doctors are GREAT! Weve brought our kids since they were very small and the exams were personalized to their age levels at the time. Lots of smiles and giggles and not a single tear from either kid. We are so lucky to have such great care and to have the opportunity to bring the whole family for all our eye health needs. 10 out of 10 and DEFINITELY recommend.

First time customer to Focalpoint since relocating to Fullerton. I came in to inquire about having lenses made for my new Oakley frames. I needed an eye exam as well and asked to make an appointment but I lucked out due to cancellations.I saw Dr. Chris Hsieh,super nice guy,easy to understand and talk with. He wasn’t in a rush,made sure I understood as much as I could about the health of my eye balls. The assistant that helped me thru the initial stages of the exam was really nice.Following the completion of my exam,I met up Ric to help me pick out the lenses for my frames I brought in. Ric is very thorough,he is a person who is passionate about finding the best lenses for you. He is who you want to deal with when it comes to something like this. Was pretty costly for the lenses but if they are as good as he says they will be,I’m sure they will be awesome.All in all I’m very happy with my experience at my new Optometry office. If my lenses come out as good as I believe they will,I’ll be a customer for as long as I live close enough to their office.Update-Due to the complexity of the frames I brought in for prescription lenses,they took longer than I had hoped. Because of Ric,my glasses were made correctly and came out perfect. If you are trying to decide if this office is deserving of your business,I’d say a resounding YES. This office,especially Ric took extremely good care of me and there isn’t another office I’d go to. Thanks again to everyone at FocalPoint Fullerton.

The office staff is on top of it. They are fast and efficient. Doctor Arellano was the perfect combination of listening to my concerns, informing me of my options, efficient measurement of my eyes, and personal attention. It is evident that Dr Arellano really likes his patients. I highly recommend him as an optometrist and the staff at Focal Point Optometry. Dr Arellano really cares about his patients! Every time I leave his office I can see so much better than when I walked in!

From my experience all employees and doctors are extremely kind and very welcoming. They are very knowledgeable and helpful in getting through your appointments. They are skillful in finding the proper prescription to make your life better. I have been a customer of Focal Point Optical for several years and have always gotten very good technical advice, exceptional service, and frequent follow-ups on order progress. In p e day I managed to break both my regular glasses and my prescription sunglasses.I was able to get a complete eye exam,(I mean complete), and order new glasses and new prescription sunglasses on the same day. I had finished glasses and prescription sunglasses within five days.I also got some really great technical advice regarding the advances in polarization that improved my product choices.Stephanie was informed, articulate, and friendly.If you need optometry services, these are the go-to people to see.

Great experience from start to finish. Professional and courteous staff all around. Everyone was polite and great to talk to. The exam was quick and thorough all at the same time. Getting frames was easy thanks to Ric finding options that would fit my face well and look good with my complexion. I had a selection to choose from and they all looked/fit great. I cannot recommend these wonderful people enough. If you need glasses, go here and you will not be disappointed.

Rick helped pick out 2 pairs of glasses for my wife and I. He spent a lot if time going over the best quality, look and insurance options with us. After searching the web, and calling all contacts I landed with Focal Point. Most people go to thier optometrist for the actual glasses, but We drove 20 miles to go here for the best fitting, selection and cost of our high end glasses.

The blonde who was doing my charges on the spot double charged me for my office visit and apparently they forgot to charge me for something so they charged me again when I picked up the glasses. I am not coming back because I cant trust what they charged me.

I love going to Focal Point Optometry in Fullerton. There is no waiting to be seen by the doctor. Their equipment is state of the art and the doctor does a fabulous job explaining the condition of your eye and vision. I spent about 45 minutes with Ric who decoded all the various options I have in selecting my frame and lens. His knowledge was incredible and his demeanor and persona was pleasant and professional. This was my second time visiting them and this was as good as my first visit! The staff still super friendly and the optometrist, Chris, absolutely awesome. I’ve never really kept a yearly appointment bc I’ve never felt as comfortable doing so but they followed up with me, got my appointment set and bc they’re great to work with, so I went back! Staff is very friendly, I forgot the staff’s name but he was very patient with me and offer great suggestions with my glasses and helped my husband picked out a very nice sunglasses that he loves. This optometry office has a wonderful staff and doctors that care about your eye health. Dr. Hsieh is concise, knowledgeable, and cultivates a great relationship with his patients. He spent the time going over photos of my eyes and was so thorough. Jasmine was kind and warm, she takes her time to make sure you find the perfect fit for glasses. Ric is incredibly knowledgeable about lens materials, he is even trained to make the lenses in house so you can get your glasses faster! Great office.

I’ve been going to Focal Point since I was in 5th grade. I’m now 27, just to give you an idea of how pleased I have felt with the services I’ve received from everyone here. Not once have I felt the need to find a different optometrist. The front desk staff and optometrists as well as the insurance/financial staff are kind, patient, and always explain things in detail for me. I can’t thank everyone enough for their wonderful customer service. Highly recommend coming here for your vision needs!

I have been a FPO customer for many years. I like the customer support, texts reminding me of appointments and providing status of my new glasses. The staff is very customer oriented and follow very strict safety rules to protect themselves and the customers against possible contamination.They also have a very good variety of frames (I love the Oakley and Maui Jim). I just got my glasses from Foral Point, Brea and they are spot on. I will say I was a little frustrated when the lab screwed up my prescription just before my vacation and it didnt look like they would be back in time. The day before my vacation I got a text that they were ready. When I walked into the office, they were all Cat, we got them!...I swear they were more excited than I was. Maybe not the cheapest but definitely the clearest, best prescription glasses I have EVER had. My wife Paige also got her glasses here and is just as impressed, as she stated this is to ONLY place that got them right the first time. Please note, we both have progressive prescriptions which are difficult to get both near sighted and far sighted right. They are truly a Team at that office, and they are awesome.

I have been going to Focal Point for 17 yrs. I’ve never had an issue with any of the staff or Drs. The amount of care and time they give you is really amazing. You are not pushed out the door nor feel like you’re just a medical file to them. Everyone there is great however I just wanted to say that Ric is amazing. He helped me choose the exact frames that I was looking for with very little detail. He did the same for my teenage daughter. I tried to help her but could not find what she was looking for. The young lady that was helping us picked out a few frames for her but still not quite what she wanted. Ric noticed we couldn’t find her frames & gave her suggestions. He was closer to what she was looking for than I was. Thank you Ric. Thank you all for always making our visits to your office a great one.

Everyone was so nice and helpful. The doctor showed me pictures of the inside of my eyes and compared them to other eyes so I can see what potentially unhealthy eyes look like, but mine are healthy! He also gave me a free sample of eye drops and a coupon if I need more. Additionally, I was assisted by two others in finding a pair of glasses that suited me, both in the frame of my face and in color. Highly recommend!

Friendly and accommodating staff. My appointment had not showed for the day even though it was scheduled ahead of time. The staff was quick to apologize and still fit me in! Most places would’ve said sorry come back on such n’ such day. They definitely care about their patients and always make you feel welcomed. They have heavy COVID safe practices in place so you don’t have to worry while your there. My whole family goes there for our optometrist needs.

This place is full equipped. Doctor is very kind and experienced. My mom has presbyopia because of aging and her old reading glasses were not clear. She took an eye examination here and got the new prescription by doctor’s help. There also have a ton of frames to choose. My mom’s eyes are itchy sometimes, the doctor also gave us a $5 off coupon to buy eye drops.

I switched optometrists recently and I have mixed feelings with my experience at this new service provider.1. The front desk staff was very professional and nice.2. The optometrist was very welcoming, knowledgeable about my prescription and how my driving is effected. She just seemed so upbeat, kind, professional but friendly.3. Glasses/sunglasses selection is good not awesome.4. Turnaround for delivery of glasses was sooner than expected.5. They were honest about what I was being charged for and did not try to over-sell me on other items I did not need nor ask for.6.The personnel was knowledgeable of VSPs discount for select name brand frames. I didnt even have to provide the coupon.7. Got my corrected glasses back from the lab and they are perfect. No blurriness, no transitional lenses, no issue. Looks like the issues with the glasses the first time around was on the lab as they messed up my prescription and probably gave me someone elses altogether.Cons1. The glasses were blurry and almost gave me a headache. It was explained that a new prescription (different from old pair) may be blurry and take a week to get used to.2. The glasses ended up have transitional lenses which I purposely said I did not want because I would prefer to have a second pair of frames...prescription sunglasses. To Focal Points credit this was an error made by the lab. I just feel that Focal Point should check all orders before calling in the customer for pickup.3. I didnt leave the parking lot before realizing the mistake and thus, took them back. They said they would send them rush on Monday (it was Saturday). It is now Friday and I still do not have the glasses even though the order was rushed.4. When I originally set up the appt. I told a clerk that I would fill out the new patient app online and she said, okay. When I arrived for my appt and noted my completion of said form I was informed the application did not work. The woman who took my appt should have known such. I wasted time completing the application online and still had to do it in writing at the clinic.I give them a neutral score because front desk and professional staff that have good attitudes and are helpful beats the opposite any time. Id rather have courteous/professional staff in the end. A bad attitude can get you a 1 star rating really fast.

One tip if you will an appointment with them just make sure you give them the right info like your phone number and email address cause they will send u a questionnaire to answer and that helps you save time of waiting .. I was referred here by Dr. Otsuji 5 years ago and since then, Dr. Arellano has always listened to my concerns and taken time to address them. I recommend Dr. Hsieh also.
