After unforeseen circumstance (myself and my entire team being laid off only 5 weeks on the job) I reached back out to Sarah. Cam was great to work with at first, but after he said he submitted my information to a client for a particular role, I never heard back from him, even after I followed up via phone and email. Very disappointing and disheartening.
July 25 update: I havent heard anything from anyone at FlowerHire in months. After my meeting, I felt like I had someone on my team who was willing to help me find a job. Zach mentioned there were a few open possibilities I might have matched. He said he was going to let me know about those, and also let me know if he came across anything else I may be interested in. Then it was radio silence.When someone from a staffing agency says theyre going to help me, I sort of hope they will. I understand that there may not have been any matches or openings. If thats the case, an email or message reading Hey, its dry right now, but we didnt forget about you would have made all the difference. At this point it feels like all the effort was up front, just to get that 5 star review.

Things started out great, this company reached out to me for a potential role. I got to final rounds of interviews...I have no clue what happened after that because I never received follow up. I did everything they asked me to, I was sure to respond to all calls as messages regarding this role. When it seemed like the odds for in my favor, Eliana called me consistently for 2 weeks to give tips and follow ups. Once I completed the Second interview communication pretty much stopped. I received 1 call, I followed up but didn’t receive a response until the next day.It still wasn’t Clear communication the role or last interview. I’m only assuming I didn’t get the role because communication became really minimal. Not upset about not getting the role. I’m more upset that I was ghosted. Completely wasted my time and did not properly notify me of the status of my application. They reached out to me...and ghosted me once I didn’t get the job.
A good recruiter places people in jobs that available and are easy to place so they can make their commission. A GREAT recruiter is someone who genuinely cares about the progress and the industry they are recruiting talent for, because they want GOOD people to be in positions of leadership. Amirose is not a good recruiter, she is a GREAT recruiter. She cares about the companies she is searching for talent for, and she also cares about the people shes placing in those positions. Amirose is a consistent, transparent, and honest communicator.Most importantly, she wants to make sure that she doesnt place an individual in a role just because its available, she takes the time and gives me guidance and confidence to be patient for the role that is RIGHT for me to come along, because she knows at the end of the day, if she places a candidate (me for instance) in the first opportunity thats available, it might not be best for her client (the company) or for myself. Recruitment agency that specializes in using recruiters who have no industry experience in the field which they place you in. No Cannabis industry knowledge here other than they know some cannabis companies that are hiring or maybe they smoked at one time. Completely incapable of recognizing or understanding individuals who actually have industry experience and abilities.
Julia and I just started working together. Sharp, easy conversationalist who knows her stuff. Ive been working with recruiters on both sides of the table for over 30 years. Many will give you 5 or 10 minutes and move on in that first conversation. Not Julia. You cannot get to know and fairly represent a candidate in 10 minutes, so I will just say no thanks. (btw - I gave Julia a 9 instead of a 10 only because were just beginning. Room to grow. :) Dave, Mike and the rest of the FlowerHire team are smart, thoughtful, and thoroughly professional knowledge workers.

He asked me about my goals and what I was looking for in a company. He was very knowledgeable of the history of the client as well as transparent about the needs that the client had. He also let me know a timeline on when I would likely hear from his client, which I greatly appreciated. Overall had a pleasant experience with him!
