An overall great gym, but the variety of classes really set this location apart. A special shout out to the spin class instructors (David, Cristina, Lisa and Mark). I came for the workout and keep coming back for their engaging and fun classes.

The gym has great equipment and isn’t packed like other gyms. Overall had a friendly atmosphere too. I was really impressed with Sam, he’s personable and professional. Not a lot of gyms have customer service at that level.

Just joined this gym in Camarillo about a month ago and so far I am very content. The people are very friendly and welcoming and the equipment and classes are very good as well. The staff is very personable and friendly. The trainers are great, and really care about your progress, and are available to answer any questions as well. Very pleased with my decision to join! Shout out to Aiden, Marky, Tae, Sam, Steven and Jeremy for great service!

I have been a member of Fitness 19 Camarillo! Throughout the years, we have had a change in managers. The new manager, Andrew has been amazing! He and Andrea work together to create a great culture between the members and team staff. I take group fitness classes and all the instructors are great!! I’m so happy to be a member at Fitness 19. It’s clean, friendly, affordable and feels like home!

Very clean gym, very friendly and inviting staff, head manager Andrew is very informative, polite, and caring of all people in the gym. As far as training goes very great training overall Brayden probably being one of, if not the most, knowledgable trainer on many aspects of fitness if you can get him, get him! Lots of great machines and a decent amount of space too, accompanied with the hydromassage, its the best gym in Camarillo and in a great location!

So I signed up a few months ago. Everything was good. Then last month they charged me $94. I didn’t get any phone calls or email stating something was wrong. I’m disabled, and on a fixed income, so I don’t have the luxury of paying $94. That’s why I paid $24!!!! All they said was it was the billing who messed up. the next month. They said they can pay the $24.. then they took another, freaking dollar out the next month!! I had to cancel my gym membership. I didn’t get my $94 back. Nothing. Never going to the gym again! Do better!!!

This location has been my go to for years. The staff is always friendly, someone always says hello to me when I walk in and the equipment is always clean. The group cycle classes are so much fun! The trainers are super nice and are very knowledgeable, I had an introductory session and it was an overall pleasant experience.

The front desk and staff are so friendly and accommodating. I went in with my husband and signed up for membership for the both of us just a few days ago and the gentleman, I believe his name is Brenden, gave us a tour and took his time explaining the options and making us feel welcomed. Literally the day after I signed up, I received some health-related news that would prevent me from using the gym for a while. I went back in and spoke to Brenden and his manager (I forget her name) about cancellation options. I thought I would have to pay a fee since I signed a 1 year contract, but to my surprise they were super understanding, didnt ask any questions and offered a full cancellation on the spot.Ive been a member of plenty of different gyms in the past from LA to NY to Vegas and I have never come across front desk staff and management that have been so welcoming and understanding, its usually not the case at gyms. *There is another lady at the desk who originally helped me but I never got her name, who was also very nice and helpful.Besides the excellent customer service, the gym looks really clean with up to date machines and great options for classes. My husband kept his membership and when Im able to, I will definitely return and sign up again.Thank you for being so accommodating! I would recommend this location without hesitation.

You get what you pay for... staff is good. No issues there. BUT its nearly impossible to get a great workout. You can get a good one maybe.. on a good day. This gym is oversaturated with kids that are pretty much just lingering around, in other words, lacking of gym etiquette. Besides that, decent gym.

Fitness 19 is one of first gyms I joined back in 2021 and it was one of the best decisions I made. The gym is easy to get around and the morning staff and members are great. Equipment and class are great especially Cycle with Lisa or David. If you are thinking about starting your fitness journey doing a PT Welcome session is the best way to get started with a trainer for FREE since it comes with a membership sign up!

Wife and I have been active members for for about 3 weeks. Our first impressions have been immediately delivered and we are finding even more reasons to explore so many offerings for all types of people and all levels of athletic competence. Staff and other members are friendly and supportive. We have taken the option of being guided by a personal trainer who has more medals and experience than a military general and the patience of any biblical character that comes to mind. Also there is an exercise machine and equipment for just about any training regimen that you choose. The facility is clean, airy, well lighted and a place you would take any friend or family member ..

They have the worst cancellation process. Calling their customer service line and then telling you to go in physically to the gym to cancel. Just for them to then write down the customer service line you just spoke with to give them your agreement number. Spent 20 minutes going back and forth with customer service telling them I just want to cancel my membership and they giving other options other than doing what I asked and denied over and over again. Then they tell me it’s a $50 buyout option and I have to email a customer service email stating I want the buy out option. And they charged me $60.00 not $50.00 for cancelling my membership. This company needs to get on the same page about what there cancellation process should be because this was a whole mess and took days to get it cancelled

Looked great as I walked in, but the Mens locker room is unacceptably small for a fitness center this size. If you dont shower and change at gym, it wont be a huge issue, but bathroom space similarly limited. The gym itself is great for cardio but the free weights area is very cramped. Im not sure why so much floor space is reserved for the artificial turf. Seems like that would be natural space for additional free weight use. Management might consider a no pictures policy in gym. I have never seen so many people taking selfies as they worked out! Hilarious on one hand, but I also dont want to be in the background of all these pictures!

This gym is a good place to train. The price is good and the staff is very nice. Having been in the fitness industry as a gym manager, competitive bodybuilder and personal trainer, for the last 30 years I would recommend this gym to anyone interested in a gym. The only draw back is that the amount of cell phone usage is annoying. Gym etiquette has been lost on this new generation. I would like to see a waiver that has to be signed especially regarding the use of cell phones while working out. Phone calls, texting and posting to social media have no place on the gym floor.

Business practices are shady at this location. I cancelled our memberships only to be billed for 3 consecutive months after I cancelled. I was then told we had duplicate accounts? Why would there be duplicate accounts? Either they are trying to be dishonest or have a poor method to keeping track of accounts. Either way, it shouldn’t be this difficult to have a membership or to cancel. I would never use this gym again and I will discourage all the people I know to not use it as well.

I have not been to this gym since COVID started. I put my account on hold for 6 months (the maximum). I was not advised when that period ended, and was charged several months membership even though I never visited the gym. I let that go, and put my membership on hold for another 6 months, and then cancelled my membership. They charged me a final months membership because of the 30 day cancellation period, even though it was supposed to be on hold. This business practice isnt fair and is plainly wrong. If you want a gym that operates with no ethics, join this gym.

I wish more classes are offered!I returned to Fitness 19 because of bigger class limit numbers. Sort of disappointed that my yoga at 8:30 to 9:30 is only offered twice a week, kickboxing only once a week, and no body sculpt classes!However, I am glad to be back to Fitness 19.Personal trainer, Cheryl is the best!

You are giving a 30 Day notice and they still charge you a month later, and I was told you can still use the gym within 2 months of your 30 Day notice.

The people who work there are hypocrites to tell people how to wear a mask when they can’t even follow their own rules. Stop giving out free passes for friends because this gym is crowded enough.

If you were charged by mistake and did not keep following up on the refund, you will never get your money back. I was charged by mistake twice. I didn’t get my money back the first time. I got set up with a membership today. Im always a little on guard as I go sign up at a gym because in years past ive had very high pressure sales experiences at places like Golds and 24 Hour Fitness. I was expecting the worst while hoping for the best.I must say I was pleasantly surprised by how clean and spacious this gym was. Also I found talking with Casey was super helpful and easy to get going. He made the sign up process quick and easy! Their pricing and over all offering was amazing. Im looking forward to working out at both their Camarillo and Newbury Park locations as well as taking advantage of their spin classes. Thank you Fitness 19!

Great gym, until you try to cancel your membership. I recently tried this, because we were moving out of state and there wasnt a gym within a reasonable distance. The closest Fitness 19 in Virginia..was a 50 minute drive, so we decided against it...we came into fitness 19 to cancel are were told that there was a gym in Virginia. Since we were already aware of this, we told them that it was just to far to drive...to which their response was..well its not that far, and we were asked several times if we really wanted to quit...since it was only $15 for each of us. We told them..several times that we did. Finally they accepted or resignation from their gym but did not mention they would still charge us an additional $15 for the upcoming month. When I called them about this, shortly after we cancelled they admitted that they did not tell us about the 30 day cancel policy and that the $15 would not be charged. Today..the $15 is currently pending...when I called I was told that the $15 would now be charged and that the best way to get into contact with the manager was by email. I asked when he would be in, or if he had another number I could reach him at and was told no, email is really the best way. Both times I have called the women working at the front desk have been very rude and argumentative. I will not be returning to this or any other fitness 19 in the future.

You can’t cancel your membership, no one answers the phone. I created an account online and Found a way to cancel that way. They wanted to charge me for the previous month they weren’t open, the month ahead and a yearly membership fee. Why would I pay an annual fee for the year ahead if I’m Canceling? I was also charged for July when they weren’t even open. So much for no contract! No forgiveness for people concerned about their well being during covid. I don’t feel safe going to the gym during this pandemic. Very disappointing, misleading and deceptive business practices.

Good equipment and variety. Theres two memberships the cheaper one is half the price. You can only use that gym. The other membership is double the price. You can go to any Fitness 19 and you get to use the body scan machine. Unfortunately the body scan machine is the lowest model so it isnt very good and you have to ask to use it which is annoying. Next time just go with the cheaper membership.

Zumba classes here are PHENOMENAL!!! They are TEN stars!!!Im changing my 5 star to a 3 because the AC has been broken for a few weeks and the staff said someone came out today and checked it out but they needed to get something else to fix it so it will be fixed in a few days. There have been a lot of excuses over the past few weeks even after multiple people have brought up the issue. Not even a fan to help accommodate until things are fixed. It really feels like management has favorites because some matters seem to get a lot of attention and others not.Its also inaccurate that they clean and sanitize everything. Havent seen a single machine get cleaned down by a staff member.Hopefully I can change this back to 5 stars once management addresses this comment.

Ive been over charged at this facility numerous times, please be careful when signing up with this unprofessional company. The staff is rude, unprofessional and to be frank, incompetent. I would rather give my business to 24 hour fitness or ANY gym for that matter. Having a job at a gym has to be the EASIEST job in the world but for some, I guess its a challenge. Do yourself a favor and just drive to 24 hour fitness, at least you know you wont be overcharged and lied to.

Nice place to work out, but the trainer that sold us our memberships (4) said it came with 12 personal training sessions. We only got 2. The bad part was when I showed up for the 3rd session and they said Sorry Dude, you only paid for 2..kind of embarrassing and we felt lied to. Talked to the manager..he said no. No compromise and no satisfactory resolution.Added later:Trainer said to us we would get 8 training sessions and four more if we signed up that day . When we were denied 3rd training session from the trainer at the front desk, we asked to speak to the manager. We talked to someone who claimed to be the manager but did not ask for his ID or anything. If you want to just add the training sessions on our account, we will be happy to change this review. We cannot post our phone number on a Google review, but will update it next time we visit the gym.

I have been trying to cancel my membership at fitness 19, but there is no way to contact anyone by phone. I tried the customer service line for corporate which said the line had been disconnected, and I also tried to leave a voicemail at the location in Camarillo, but the line did not have a voicemail option. They charged me during quarantine and even in July after the gym had closed due to Newsoms order. I am really frustrated with the lack of communication options they make available to their customers during this confusing time.
