Ii really wanted to like this place, while it’s likely great for a younger crowd, I’m 61 and don’t do the entire “ app thing” having to order pay for and tip on the phone before ever getting my meal really put me off, the food was decent, and the staff did check on us, but If I’m going out to eat, I want to not have me be the waitstaff

Just had a fantastic pitstop at Firestone Walker Taproom Restaurant, and its a spot that truly hits the mark! We started with the pretzel and Brussels sprouts – both delectable sharable plates that set the tone for a delightful experience.The beer menu is a true highlight, boasting a diverse selection of the brewerys beers on tap. We opted for the Blood Orange Hefeweizen, a delightful surprise with its beautiful deep red-orange hue. The flavor was equally exquisite – fruity, light, and smooth, creating a surprisingly delicious pairing for our savory snacks.The restaurant itself is spacious, offering plenty of patio dining space thats not only enjoyable but also dog-friendly. Okay decent food to pair with great selection of different beers. You can customize your own tasting flight of five 3 oz beers for $12. Prices are reasonable and loots of beers on tap. I would recommend to come here for beer and snacks rather than lunch itself. The food is okay too, but nothing to write home about.

I hadn’t been here in a few years and we figured we’d stop on the way home from the coast. The food‘s good only this time everything is ordered by the app. Personally, I’m not fan of the app. Hard to use an app when there’s no service also. I’d rather have good customer service. We had to flag down person to have help, ordering since we had a few special orders, as in a well done hamburger.

My visit to Firestone Walker Brewing, despite hearing great things about it, was nothing short of disappointing.The experience got off to a poor start as it took an excruciating 15 minutes for someone to seat us, with multiple workers walking past us without acknowledgment. Once seated, we found our table to be dirty.We placed our order using the QR code, and while the food arrived within 5 minutes, it wasnt anything to be excited about. The fries were stale, as if they had been sitting out for over 30 minutes, the burger wasnt fully cooked, and the pizza arrived unsliced.We immediately informed an employee about these issues, who assured us that replacements would be brought. However, 25 minutes later, she still hadnt returned, and it was clear she had been engaged in a conversation with the cook the entire time.Our frustration grew, and we sought assistance from another employee, only to encounter the same issue. Finally, a third employee stepped in and made sure our order was redone.Sadly, this experience was far from the best, and I can only give this review two stars because one employee, the bartender, made a commendable effort to rectify the situation and checked on us consistently. Overall, a one-star experience at Firestone Walker Brewing.

Ate dinner here on our way to SLO. Not crowed and very chill vibe. I had a couple of beers and the smash burger, both were great. My burger had crispy edges on the patties, so good. My partner got a flight and the fish tacos. He said he wished he would have gotten the pizza, he didn’t like the slaw and too much of it on the tacos. Overall for sure will come back anytime we are traveling through.

After our tour, hubby and I decided to have dinner at the Taproom Restaurant. We were extremely satisfied with the food. We shared the appetizer shoet rib street tacos and the dish spicy chicken sandwich. These mouth watering dishes were absolutely delicious! We WILL return.

I had the pleasure of eating here the day after the FWIBF and the tap room did not disappoint. The food was amazing but the staff were the real bells of the ball helpful and fun to engage with as well as prompt and courteous. Youre doing yourself a disservice by not eating here.

The wifi was horrible though, we couldnt order our food and had to get up and order where the bartender was. I wish they had waiters. The host and bartenders were nice though. My family and I were disappointed in the experience here. We should have looked into what exactly this place was before we came, however, advertising this as a taproom is a bit disingenuous. This is nothing like a taproom, it is a restaurant. Dont expect to come to the brewery and be able to go to the bar and hangout like other brewery taprooms. When we arrived half of the tables and bar seats empty, but the staff was rude and unhelpful. Tables, including bar seats, are sit down/reservation type tables only. Despite being half empty, the wait was 45 minutes. When asked if we could just grab a beer and hangout, and staff shrugged and just told us we could do whatever we wanted, but dont expect a table or seat. The bartenders were equally unfriendly. We ended up drinking one beer outside and then left. Not a single staff member acknowledged us when we dropped our glasses off at the bar. The beer itself was great, just wish the overall experience and atmosphere was friendlier and more inviting. After this experience, I would not return nor recommend it to friends or family.

Have enjoyed 805 for a lot of years but this was my first time to be able to experience the brewery.To my delight... They had 2 Russian Imperial Stouts. (Slurp) my favorite.Decided on trying the fish tacos, a must for any member of The Taco Mafia Social Club!They were fantastic!Of course, had to get some merch, a hat and T-shirt.This is a great destination for anyone that loves a good brew and good food to go along with it.

We always stop by if driving down via 101, it’s a must for us! The beer is always great (not a huge IPA fan, but we love sour and stout), and the food is decent, much better than usual bar food. The outdoor seating is also very nice too, highly recommend for everyone wants a food stop on their road trip!

Indifferent service, mediocre brews, good food.Visited 5/19 at 5pm. Place your own order via QR code but pay full price and they ask for 18% minimum tip?…no thanks. I’d rather go to McDonalds and a liquor store. It was basically a take out restaurant with seating.Seated on patio in low 60s weather, was told the heaters were on, but you could have fooled me.Overall this was the least welcoming, least chill/cool brewery restaurant I can ever recall going to. I could have a better time at YardHouse for the price. It’s a shame because it has been fun in previous years. Keep driving and head to Tin City.

This is the second time we have been here. Our first experience was much better. Overall our party of eight rated it a four star with some hesitation. A server no longer takes your order, you have to scan QR code to download the menu. Half of our phone s could not scan the code and we had to ask for menus. We ordered our food on the app, paid and waited for our food. To order drinks we went to the bar to place our order. Our pretzel was taken to another table, passed around the customers to see who ordered it then the server brought it to us, we declined because it was originally delivered to the wrong table. The shrimp po boy was too spicy for me, the mac and cheese was cold, one had panko crumbs and the other did not. The individuals in our party that ordered hamburgers were very happy with their food. Beer options are great and saved the evening. Service was mediocre and you had to flag a server down to get napkins, sauces or water refills. Also, employees were sitting at the table next to us and other customers folding 805 shirts. We felt this should have been done away from customers. When in the area, we will revisit in hopes they have improved.

This would have been 5 stars had they had real table service. We were not a fan of having to order at the counter and bringing our own drinks back to the table. If you order from your phone they will bring everything to you but not when ordering in person.We had the fish and chips which was actually really good and the fries were also good. For the other main we had the spicy Italian pizza which was really good. It was both a bit sweet and spicy and was a good size for the price.Also did a tasting flight of beer. I had the 805, Cal Poly Gold, 805 cerverza, CS Borange, and the Mind Haze. All them were ok but nothing too memorable except maybe the Borange which was pretty good. Overall we had a good dinner but if we were locals I doubt we would go back since we prefer table service restaurants and a bit quieter places. It was actually very loud inside.

Rhe place was very clean and the beer, 805, phenomenal. Always a big fan. The ordering is very next level with you not being able to order from the waiter at all. So essentially you have to order through the QR code on the table. So the waiters are there to bring you your order once its been processed through the QR system. The older crowd may be a little stumped by this. I found it relatively easy, but the learning curve is there to eat up some time. From entering the order to receiving it was fast. Even the meal came out lightning quick once the payment was processed. My smash burger was tasty, although salty. My dads wings were good, according to him. It was Thursday and before the crows, so it was peaceful and quiet. A welcoming atmosphere and nice employees. On my way to destinations, I would stop by again. Also...parking is low right next to the building, you will need to park adjacent to the freeway.

We finally stopped and enjoyed some yummy lunch and sips. We have been driving past this location for years and decided to rest and grab lunch. They have several FW locations on this exit, but there is only one restaurant. Indoor part of the restaurant was loud and filled with customers. And we opted for outdoor seating to sunbathe while we eat. We ordered flights, chopped salad, fish tacos and half rack of ribs. Everything we ordered was delicious and had really big portions to share. We will return and take the tour next door for sure. Great service and experience.

Moved from LA, been here about a year and I had to visit 805 now that my family came to visit. we love the beer so I guess that was THE MAIN REASON we went. Didnt disappoint! the staff was so friendly and knowledgeable! They had awesome recommendations for each one in our group of 6. I really enjoyed their michelada with the blood orange beer!I love the vibe, its super chill, great place to eat some good food and drink some beer and enjoy the company your with.We had the rustica carne pizza, Banh Mi Sandwich with garlic fries, The Classics Beer Flight and potato fritters. We really liked the rustica pizza and Banh mi sandwich! Delicious. The fritters had to much oil for me and the garlic fries, eh, Ive had better. But in our group we also got hot wings, and the bears burger. No complaints. Definitely gonna come back for the beer and rustica carne pizza!

Firestone Walker in Paso Robles is a solid great brewery experience.Per their name, they have a great variety of beers on tap, a fantastic michelada, along with great food.Upon the suggestion of our waiter, I ordered the short rib tacos and they were phenomenal. My only complaint, there werent enough of them... I literally had to stop myself from ordering a second portion. And if you like well done brussel sprouts, look no further because theres are on point. They were perfectly roasted and not greasy which is my biggest complaint when ordering brussel sprouts.Their burgers were decent but not anything extraordinary. I would definitely stick with the tacos.I am a huge porter and stout fan and sadly, I was not excited about their selection. When we were there they only had one stout on tap, So I went with a michelada instead which is not something I usually do when Im at a brewery.I was really hoping they would have their Mocha Merlin back as a seasonal option.In my opinion, that was the best dark beer they ever made and it was the best stout option in the commercial market of microbreweries.So Im officially starting the # BringBackMochaMerlin campaign!

Had a great lunch here on our way to Cambria. Got seated right away and our lunch was delivered promptly. You can order at your table or at the bar. At the table you use a QR code to place and access the menu. I had the house burger and my wife had the shrimp poorboy sandwich. Both were tasty. My only gripe is that the use of cherry tomatoes is not a great idea. Maybe if they were cut in half. Tasty beer selection too. I bought a six pack to go.

Funny how reviews show this to be less than 5 stars, we are full time RVers and base our stays on breweries, wineries and National Parks, around the US and Europe. You guys rocked the boat!This town was one of those in betweens but Firestone Walker tipped the scale. Forget the many wineries, it’s the FW beer that will make us return to this location.The GM, Amber answered all the many questions and was welcoming, super friendly and quick to recommend your next favorite brew!Great job, give that brewmaster a big(ger) raise, phenomenal job on the Something Stickee (says hubs) and the Westside Mall is my fave. Good food and Good Beer. The beer selection here is quite good w/ a bunch of the rare firestone beers on tap, which is pretty cool. They have the standards too, of course. For the food, I got the soft pretzel appetizer and it was good, nothing special though. For my main course, I got a burger and it was definitely above average. Full of flavor and juicy. My wife got the tacos and a salmon appetizer. She enjoyed both. They were both light and fresh. My daughter actually got a steak, and she ate the whole thing. Thats pretty impressive.Service was good if a tad slow. Atmosphere was pretty standard for a brew pub style joint. Plenty of Firestone Walker merchandise around too, if you want a souvenir.

Stopped by while on a road trip. The menu looks killer. Unfortunately the dishes that we ordered just werent as great as they sounded on the menu.We got:- Pretzel- Burger- Some vegetarian taco w/o the cheeseThe pretzel was really good. The other two were just kind of okay.This is only one visit though, and I think its worth giving another shot. The beers are good, its in a great location for a pit stop coming from the Bay Area, and its just off the freeway!Also, I suggest taking a quick look in the tasting room while youre there. You can see some of the equipment in there and see the machines that load bottles into the boxes. Its pretty cool!

Beside from the great beers and foods. One of the most significant thing that I noticed was the smell. It was magically wonderful, sweet aroma of hop lingering around and so different then any other brewery I have been too. Have any one experience this ? Also great customer services, the reception was very help exchanging my ts, which was a size too small. Highly recommend getting a size bigger just in case it shrink or one too many beers haha 😉

One of my favorite places EVER. Cant believe they brought back Walker Reserve! The food is mostly okay. With the kitchen they have, it could be better. Probably just staff. The last 3 times Ive been here (spanning a year) have been meh experiences with the food and staff. This visit was very pleasant, but the food could still be better quality. My wifes salad was mostly a plate of spinach with a disproportionate amount of toppings. The tacos were okay but were kind of bland and missing some flavors. Doesnt matter though, the beer is incredible, the space is amazing. Ill be back with hopes that the food gets better. 😍😍

Talk about management making things more difficult, my goodness! These poor employees. There’s a digital menu that doesn’t match the printed menu, which does not match the menu on the wall, all which is different from what the servers are told. There are beers listed as being on draft but they come in a can or are bottle poured. There’s a manager’s special on the menu but no manager’s special exist. There’s a burger of the month not on the digital menu, but on the employees menu, but you can’t pay for it digitally on the toast pos you need to pay up front. What!!! I go out to not have to deal with figuring things out and looking at my phone. FSW prevents that. I guess that is why most locals go to Tin City. Think DOS wrestling Windows while being prodded by Android. What the heck!!

We joined the tour on this long weekend and its definitely worth the price since youll get to sample 4 different brews at the end. Food is alright... Beer is great. Dont get the tritip sandwich. It was kinda sad. The hot chicken sandwich is not Louisiana style dipped in hot oil. Just friend chicken with a sweet hot sauce on top, good but not what we were expecting. The bahn mi was more like an American BBQ pulled pork sandwich with relish on it. Again, good but not quite as advertised. the tritip was sad though. Especially for the location... Service was great. Super friendly staff and very fast. Beer is top notch. Bummer, been many times. Last weekend we had our family of 10. The new order system sucks, using an app to order for 10 was a joke. Without exception 9 out of 10 dinners were cold. Burger buns were burnt black. Since you don’t have a dedicated server you are stuck. With 10 people I expect 1 or 2 meals to have problems, when 9 of 10 meals suck, there is a real problem in the kitchen and management of the restaurant. Too bad, beers are good but we won’t be back.

Went there a couple weeks ago and immediately walked out.Only option is to order by scanning a QR code or standing in line at counter like a friggin McDonalds. How could the owners/operators think this is anything close to what patrons want? What if you have questions about the menu or have food allergies? And it was crawling with employees, so its not like they were understaffed. Most people want to interact with actual humans when going to a restaurant. Used to be a fun place for beer and food but now its dead to me.

One of my friend in Chicago, who is also a judge of such things recommended I stop here between LA and SF.Man, I wish I could live here =) I tried out their full suit of dark offerings and rolled out of there with an arm full of deliciousness to carry me through my time in the Bay Area. They offered a burger of the day which had some Merkin infused BBQ sauce (delicious)! I paired it with some corona and cheese packed tots!The staff knew what was up and the manger stopped by to make sure all my questions were answered.The brewery itself is HUGH and the Taproom was large, inviting and jam packed! Beer was great. Service was confusing and overly complicated (there are three different ways you can order, and it was hard to get a server when you needed one). The food was decent, nothing to write home about.Our biggest complaint was that one of our party (who does not eat chicken) asked if it would be possible to swap out the chicken in the salad she wanted for shrimp. The server was completely baffled by this request, and due to the complicated ordering system the brewery uses, the only way to ring this up was to charge the full price of adding additional shrimp to the menu price of the salad, for $7. Obviously shrimp costs more than chicken, but for a protein swap this seems a bit silly.To make matters worse, once she started eating her salad, she kept finding little pieces of chicken hiding in the salad. The kitchen staff clearly dont understand or respect basic dietary restrictions.I will return for their beer but definitely not for their food.

The place was packed when we got there and it took less than ten minutes for 8 of us to be seated. Instead of waiting to order, each person received there own hand held device to order when ready. Once my order was places my first 2 apps arrived at the table quickly. I ordered an amazing in house made huge pretzel with beer cheese dip and some sort of spicy mustard and it was amazing. My second app was a stone fired shrimp and it was cooked perfectly and the flavor was to die for. My main dish was a spicy chicken samwhich, that hands down was one of the Ive ever had. Love visiting breweries and this is one of the nicest on the west coast. Beautiful huge new facility on Hwy 101 right outside of Paso Robles and ironically smack dab in the middle of central California wine country.This is a large brewery with tours, a taproom, excellent restaurant, and a small gift shop. Down the street a few hundred yards is the Firestone Emporium which is basically a much larger gift shop with Firestone swag and canned /bottled beers for sale. I guess its meant for people who are passing through and dont have time to visit the actual brewery and taproom.The restaurant would honestly be worth going to even if it wasnt part of the brewery. It has a surprisingly large menu with delicious brewpub fare. Both of us enjoyed our burgers and fries which went down easily with a Flight of 4 draft beers.

Horrible experience. We drove 2 hours to have dinner here. We have been before and loved it. Now, we didnt even stay to eat. Supposedly you scan a QR code to order or order at the counter (if I wanted fast food Id go to McDonalds). Our QR code wouldnt work. They no longer have servers. The menu has changed so drastically, again, you might as well go to a fast food restaurant. So disappointing. We were really looking forward to a nice early dinner.

Amazing beer that you cant believe isnt on your local shelves. Great restaurant, great food, and the Lemon Cheesecake was insane. The Firestone Taproom is a must for Brewery Junkies!

We really enjoyed the Firestone walker taproom . It’s very family friendly with games and things for the kids . The beer was great . I tried a couple different ipas and my wife really enjoyed their seltzer . Couldn’t have been happier with the food . The smash burger was awesome . Highly recommend stopping in and checking it out

Great restaurant thats part of the brewery. The food is absolutely outstanding, especially their Sunday Chef Special with the 805 braised beef. There is no table service so be prepared to order with your phone with a QR code or through order window. The staff are friendly and attentive.

Ate dinner at the taproom, it was shy of amazing but good. The beer was great, although I admit to being a bit bias because Ive been drinking DBA for ages, my palate is pretty adapted to it. As we were leaving we met Anthony who works on the night shift at the brewery. Anthony had shown up to work an hour early, and took his down time to give us a full tour of the facilities, explaining everything. This man takes such pride in his work, he showed us how surgically clean the plant is, explained the cleaning process, pointed out how organized everything is kept, and explained the company culture. The workers are fairly compensated, have an onsite gym, laundry, complementary meals, and a nice break room. Hes been with the company for 7 years. To me this spoke volumes about the product -- that the people making it take pride in their work, like their jobs, and show to work with the goal of making a pure, clean, and excellent product. He said that the executive staff spends time at the facility and are good grounded people. Its great to know that our local brewery is a business thats good to work at and treats the employees fairly, and its owned and operated by people who want to make great beer. So many companies are ****, with revolving door staffing issues, and as a consumer you feel it.Anthony really made my night. Thank you for taking the time for us dude!

Personally Im not a beer fan but I drive through this area every 2 weeks for work and my husband always request I fill up his growlers.Staff is always fast and friendly. Beer Menu selection constantly changes through out the seasons which my husband loves and has favorites.Ive had lunch here a few times, not bad but definitely a brewery so food is not optimized for flavoring as this is definitely brewery first.

If you love beer, you have to visit the Firestone Walker Taproom. They have a great selection of different beers! What I really liked was the possibility to get a so called wooden taster board with just a bit of each beer that youd like to try out . Great concept!

You cant go wrong here, even when the restaurant is mostly you as your own waitress/waiter, the beer here is fenomenal, IPAS are amazing and anything stout as well, food its good too and the few people we encounter were pretty awesome. Over all I am always happy here. This place is my happy place. 2023 and still loving it, Im not into thr whole you order online but few people would come to the table and ask if we need something.

We came here for lunch today. Amazing food. Great beer. I had the shrimp and short braised rib. They were amazing. My buddy had the fried chicken sandwich and my other buddy had the pulled pork sandwich. They both really enjoyed it. Our waitress was friendly and very helpful with our beer selection. Definitely planning on coming back here again. Great beer and delicious food!

OK, this is fine, I guess. We ate in but had to order our food on an app. It feels a bit like eating in a quarantine zone. We didn’t have a waiter, we just had random people that brought us things as we ordered it online. This was August of 2022, so not exactly when COVID was in full swing. So it felt a bit strange. Other establishments in this area at this time were not doing this, they were normal. But the food was good, and it was fun to visit the brewery of one of my favorite beers.
