Love their products. Great that there is a physical store for you to pop in and ask questions. Everyone here is super knowledgeable about the products. The featured coffees are excellent choices as well, I would highly recommend checking them out and adding them to your selection. Found out recently that theyre hosting more tasting sessions and other various events these days. Excited to join in on these as well!

Great experience in the shop! I was really impressed by the guy working there. He was in the middle of helping a customer when some other guy wanted to buy a bag of coffee, but didn’t want to wait 30 seconds for the staff member to finish with the first customer. The guy buying coffee tossed the bag back and stormed out. The fellow staff was courteous and kind the whole time.I bought a tumbler and it’s great, but I’ll keep going back because the people who work there are kind and knowledgeable.

Hi, I had a great experience with coffee here. Looking forward to hosting events here and continuing attending yoga/run/cycle monthly events in addition to continuing my coffee education. The service here is great and the people here are knowledgeable and helpful. The products are fun to test and the demo is super worth while -- they rotate the coffee selection here on a monthly basis and the space is really cool and fun. Music pending.

I popped inside the store today to get some advice about improving my brews with the fellow Prismo and it was slow so the guy working there (Im sorry to forget your name but the extremely friendly and knowledgeable person working Tuesday afternoon) made a quick demo brew based on how I make my coffee at home while adjusting it for a better extraction and giving concise, step by step explanations.I tried his tips when I got home and things improved a lot, I didnt realize how much of the flavor I was losing. To whoever runs the store you have a really smart, patient and thorough individual with a gift for teaching on your staff, if hes willing you should let him do that regularly.

I love fellow products so I was excited to visit their storefront when I happened to walk by. Unfortunately my experience left a bad taste and made me not want to return to this location. The customer service here was actually confusing. When I went to buy a bag of coffee from the young man working the register he did not say a word to me (literally) to the point that I thought he could not speak. No hello, is this all for you, etc. just no acknowledgement at all. After I awkwardly paid and said thank you to him he said “thanks” back so I realized he could in fact speak. The interaction was so odd that I almost put the coffee back all together. Rly weird and I hope he’s nicer to other customers and not so snobby

Jonathan was extremely helpful and gracious in his management of the issue with my kettle. He went out of his way to make sure I would have a functioning kettle and clearly cared about my experience with Fellow.He went above and beyond and solved my problem efficiently with basically no effort required on my part. Wow, what a disappointment. My girlfriend bought a mug from the brick and mortar store on Dec. 22 around 1230 pm with cash. She wasn’t given a receipt or was asked for her email. I’ve been trying to exchange the unused mug with the original tags still on for a different color for 2 weeks. I don’t want a refund or a different item just a new color. They refuse to after attempting to return in person at the store and I have had about 10 email messages. So disappointing. I try and not use Amazon and intentionally shop local but this is ridiculous. I’ve also purchased many expensive items from Fellow, including a grinder, kettle and several coffee storing canisters. I will no longer do business with them.

Great store but terrible service. My fiancé and I came in to look at the kettles. We first asked what the dimensions of the base were, and one of the sales associates said “I don’t know but that should be a quick Google search”. He then walked away. Later we ask what the difference between the regular and pro version was. He says “They have different features” and again walks away. We ultimately purchased a kettle in store because we were already there, but I will never come in store again. What’s the point?

I love that fellow has a physical store. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and they carry amazing coffee. Its not the same that fellow has on their website - its really special beans from roasters like hydrangea and phil and sebastian.

I stumbled in this place and I was sucked in to awesomeness. This is a coffee nerds happy place. All the products are designed locally — and they have thought of everything in your coffee ritual and made it BETTER. TIP: You can brew your own coffee in the back — the woman working there walked me thru the process to make the perfect cup — viola, it was amazing. TIP: Trust me, the brewing process and products made an amazing cup of coffee. I learned a ton here. Coffee can get better — f’ yeah!

I had a great experience when I came in during the sale this past weekend, the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable! It actually surprised me because one of the workers (I think his name was Nazar? Im not great with names sorry!) told me he had only been working there for a week! He greeted me when I came in and answered all of my questions and when I asked a question he didnt have an answer for he referred me to his manager who was also very nice. The manager knows his stuff about coffee, and unlike a lot of the coffee community Ive interacted with he wasnt pretentious or made me feel dumb for not knowing everything about coffee. I liked how clean and modern the storefront was too. If youre a coffee nerd or are like me and just like nice stuff I recommend popping into the store and checking it out.

The taste of coffee is important to me. Theres so many things that go into making a good cup from the water, the brew method/extraction, the type of bean, how its roasted, etc. After you get all of that right, the tumbler or cup you drink it from also impacts the flavor. I used to use metal tumblers, but really noticed the change of flavor. I stumbled across some ceramic style tumblers, which came at the cost of heat retention. Ive conceptualized designs in my head for the last couple of years. I tried to think about how something would work to not only keep heat, seal well, but also NOT change the flavor. Then BOOM I see this from Fellow . This literally checks all boxes. Has a metal exterior with a lid the seals thight to the canister. The most important part is theyve engineered it to have a ceramic interior so it preserves all the work I put into my pour over! This thing keeps my coffee tasting just as I enjoy it!

I went by the store to check out some products and ended up having a very nice chat with the store manager/rep about the different coffee beans they sell at the store, how they choose them and etc. Ended up leaving the store with some beans as a gift from him. His friendliness and the connection we had by talking about coffee made my day! I will make sure to visit again next time I come to SF.

I bought a Fellow Ode Gen 2 and it has a defective ionizer. The retailer asked me to contact Fellow, which I did, and received nothing other than a canned auto-response for 5 days. When I finally received a response with some questions and a promise to follow up as quickly as possible once I answered them (which I did immediately) the radio silence started again. It has now been over 24 hrs since I answered the questions I was asked, and nothing.The retailer originally asked me to contact Fellow support after they looked into the issue and didnt have a fix for me (they did this the same day I contacted them). I have now contacted the retailer again, and again same day they agreed to a replacement, sent me a return shipping label, and the defective Ode is now on its way to them.Fellow, meanwhile, has taken no meaningful steps to address my issue.Their products are great when they work well, but buyer beware if you purchase from them directly and have to rely on their customer support.

We went into the SF store today wanting to purchase an ODE brew grinder with SSP burrs and John was super helpful. He provided great customer service. He took the time and demoed the grinder and talked about the specs. We definitely left feeling welcomed and satisfied with our purchase.

I ordered the Fellow Ode Brew Grinder in November and I didn’t receive it until the second week in January. Originally, I gave this a one star review, but it was mostly a USPS problem and Fellow took care of me by sending me a free vacuum sealed canister (which is a great product too). Now that I finally have it, I love it. Main reason I got this grinder is because, well it’s beautiful and matches my matte black Fellow Electric Kettle. Second, the noise was advertised as being significantly less quiet than other coffee grinders. It was even quieter than I expected! Now I don’t have to wake up my kids in the morning. It was worth the wait!*I recommend not loading the hopper with a lot of beans. This is meant for more single cup coffee grinds. Perfect for 15-25g of coffee at a time.

The quality that this company produces for the price tag of $150 is borderline criminal. I am currently in the process of a 60+ email exchange with now five different customer service reps because my original kettle rapidly boils water regardless of the temperature setting and sputters water out of the top when lid is removed. They then sent me a replacement kettle that had a faulty screen that would turn off and on again when the kettle was removed right out of the box. After several days of emailing, they sent me only a replacement base which has taken 12 days to ship, and has yet to be delivered. I am not blaming them for shipping delays as I know it’s the holidays, but this ticket was created a month ago, and could have been solved within 2 weeks max by a company that sold well made kettles instead of selling social media branding. Don’t be deceived by clean lines, and shiny metal. The mechanical quality you receive for $150 is akin to a $40 water kettle you’d find at Target, and you’d get a quicker and less disorganized exchange experience from them instead of spending weeks emailing countless different people to solve a simple exchange issue. Give your money to a different company.

The experience was great and gives me faith that Fellow will stand behind their products in the future.The canister itself is a cool idea, and I’m already using it to keep my beans fresh!

Fellow products, when everything goes right, you will be satisfied with them. But that’s rarely the case. I’ve purchased over 6 vacuum cans, three mugs, two glass carafes, one electric kettle, and one coffee pourer. Of these, one mug I received dented, one mug I received with a big cut on the surface, and two vacuum cans started to unable to vacuum after less then one year of normal usage. I purchase all of their products from either their official website or Amazon. Why did I keep coming back? Like I said, when things turn out great, they’re great. So my experience is get them at discounts so that if something didn’t turn out the way it should be, you’ll feel better about it.

TLDR: don’t waste your money, time, energy. Your product won’t arrive and you might not get your money back.Fellow is honestly a scam. I ordered a kettle from them on 11/23/20. On 12/4/20 they wrote to me saying that the order would be delayed 1 week but it was guaranteed to be delivered before x-mas. On 12/18 I responded to them asking for an update, no response. I even offered to go to the physical location to pick it up - they claimed it wasn’t possible. On 12/22 I heard from them saying that my order would be delayed 2 more weeks. Well it’s now 1/21/21 (2 months from my original date) and no kettle, no more responses, no phone number to call. Finally got in touch with someone via chat who said to contact “customer service.” I was so excited to buy from a local brand especially in light of COVID hardships.I guess I shouldn’t have trusted a company who calls their store a “playground.” Sooner or later they won’t have any friends to play with.

Very nice set up store stocked with coffee and coffee making accessories. Everything seems to be of high quality from the kettles to the cups and saucers. The staff is willing to answer any questions that you might have about the products in the store. It can be intimidating to come in here since the layout is so open and the store seems so quiet. There are tea accessories here as well for the non coffee drinkers!

Note: This is not a coffee shop. It is a coffee equipment store that also sells beans. They have a lab out back to teach you how to make the best pour over of your life. You simply purchase 1oz test tube of any of the 5 or so single origin coffee beans on display, and let Danny (store manager) or his colleagues show you how to improve your pour over skills.This location is the flagship retail location of the Fellow Store, as well as the Playground (lab) at the back.We went in for the coffee beans -- specifically a Kansas roaster was featured. They carried 5 beans from Kenya to Guatemala.We picked 2 test tubes ($3 each + tax) of coffee beans and headed to the back with Danny, who ensured the water was at an even 205 degrees. He mentioned they use super pure reverse osmosis (soft) water that makes a difference. All the beans were medium to light roast and were ground at the setting for pour overs.Danny places the pre-heated carafe on a scale, wets the coffee filter with hot water, and throws away the water in the carafe. Next, he puts 20-28 grams of coffee grounds on the coffee filter and teaches us how to pour. The process takes over 3 minutes, with rebukes when you screw up. You can tell Danny is passionate and cares. He explains every step of the way, and tells you when to start and stop, when to pour slow, and fast. As a courtesy, reserve your questions till the end of his spiel.Skipping to the end. We taste 2 of the best pour overs (hello endowment effect) that we had no idea we could make. A coffee equipment specialty store located in San Francisco, California, USA. If you like coffee, youve probably used it or heard of it at least once. Kettles for drip, coffee grinders, and tumblers called Carter Moves are famous. Perhaps because it has a very simple and soft design, it is the first thing that catches your eye when buying coffee equipment for your home.At the store, you can touch and use most of the items you can buy online. The second generation of the grinder has been released and a different version has been released, and it is very pretty.In one corner, they sell five types of coffee beans and give a drip demo if you want. I chose Flower Child and the tasting notes are maple syrup, honey, and Riesling. A savory flavor with a bit of acidity. You can do a demo yourself or request one. All demonstrations use Fellows equipment, and the exact drip time and total amount are measured using a scale that measures time and weight at the same time.It is a beautiful space to sit in one corner and drink coffee. The coffee is delicious and the equipment is pretty. I want to use something that’s pretty but delicious.

I went to the store, two people serving, two customers (one of them me). I was not attended to at any time, only at the time of payment for the product I purchased. A store with very interesting products, very good quality, I expected the quality of service to be similar
