I was faced with a difficult task today. My mission was to find someone willing to ship a box weighing 35 lbs and about 4 ft/ish long. Originally, when I first set out on this adventure I thought it would be easy. I was wrong. I was told no by USPS, apparently they don’t take packages this big. Okay, I’ll try FedEx Seaside. They explained they can ship things this big but that the integrity of my box was slim and that I’d need a new one BUT they don’t carry boxes as big as I need however the location on Lighthouse does. On the bright side they provided me with a quote of how much it would cost me to ship. They gave me a sliver of hope being that the cost was less than I anticipated. I headed to FedEx on Lighthouse with high hopes. I lug around my big box that’s almost bigger than me for the third time and Abi a crew member at FedEx Lightouse quoted me $490 for it!!!!!!! I let her know they quoted me 200 and she insisted they were wrong.I wanted to give up. I had to run errands in Salinas and figured I’d try one more time at the location on the North Side.RIGHT when I came in, Gloria helped me with the door and straight away started taping where the box lacked integrity so I wouldn’t have to pay for another box and packaging. She played no games, and got my box processed and charged me what I was quoted originally at FedEx in Seaside; $203. She truly made my day and resolved the difficult task I was faced with. Who knew it was so hard to ship a large package and shipping centers?!?!I wish I went here first and met Gloria from the beginning. This FedEx is great because of her I’m sure.Thank you so much Gloria!!

People are very slow and short when asking for instructions but that’s not what bothers me at all to each his own I was sending a box and it came to me in a black bag which I only sent back exactly the same way and yes it was very well taped in all 4 corners, but the guy said he couldn’t send it like that unless I tapped The Whole box with tape entirely he had a roll of tape sitting right next to him and I ask can we just tape it there ? ( if you wonder about the size it was a shoe box not a massive gigantic one) He said I will have to buy a roll of tape and do it myself. Really? Not only was he rude and mean but the level of stupidity was immeasurable obviously he didn’t want to do his job nor he care for me to take my business elsewhere It’s a shame very few places care this days for real customer service.

Always very helpful workers and hours of operation are great they are open until 7pm. Thats great since most close at 5. Convenient for getting some work/ errands done quickly.

This particular FedEx Center feels smaller than the others Ive ever been to. However, in my own personal experience the staff here is at the very least much more engaging and willing to assist than I normally see, which is great. The self service can be confusing sometimes, but theyre more than willing to walk you through it. Its also worth noting that the parking entrance is easy to miss, so be weary of that.

Dont even bother with this place. Everytime I try to save time or gas by stopping in here, I walk out even shorter on time with nothing accomplished and still must go to Office Depot to complete the task at hand. The machines are never working correctly. Employees are very busy with their own conversations behind the counter, which makes them very unapproachable. After trying to use the self service several times by myself to no evail-not even so much as a glance from the staff while they can clearly hear the machine making error message beeps. Plus I had inserted my debit card as instructed at another machine, out pops a reciept for 2.48 worth of services I did not recieve. I finally decide to go up to the register to ask for help and inform them of the charges on my card. She immediately walks behind the counter, looks up the machine and then asks for my card. I can clearly tell that shes going through the process of refunding the charges, (which is exactly as reflects on my account summary) but she proceeds to hand my card back and then tell me she does not see any charges to my account. Then she walks away.. ignoring my earlier request for assistance. After one more attempt to fax the documents myself, each attempt fails with a different error message, i go to the other side of the counter, and ask another associate for help, this time I am told that its not their machines, its a bad fax line in which Im trying to send it to, but after a little persistence on my end i got her to attempt to send it from another machine behind the counter, it failed, she insists its a bad line. So i leave and go to Office Depot to send the fax, goes through no problem. Only reason I gave 2 stars is due to the convenience of their fed ex services. Perfect drop off location for packages. That is about all this place is good for.

This is the worst experience I have ever had with an Item being shipped.I was give a promise deliver date of 12/21/16 and it is now 12/23/16 2 days before Christmas. This was wine that I am having shipped to my client and promised they would have for Christmas.I called in and spoke to three different people at FedEx and I give them a tracking number and all they can tell me is that it is in transit. Not even able to give me a date in which the package is going to be delivered.I do not plan on ever using FedEx again.

The level of incompetence at this location is staggering. I had corporate FedEx on the phone to inform the employees at this location of their inaccuracies and how to assist me in shipping my item and the employee flat out refused to speak to corporate or help me in any way. I do not know how any of the employees remain employed at this location due to their utter lack of experience or knowledge of how to function in any way whatsoever.
