I have recently acquired a practice and had the opportunity to work with Fazel and team. He has been extremely professional and very organized. He is very well versed with practice acquisition and transition process. His calming personality and clear knowledge in the process instills confidence. He has a good network of professionals that he refers to and eventually play a crucial role in acquistion. Fazel conducts many dental related workshops pooling in other professionals (attorneys, lenders, etc) that educates and guides dentists. I started looking to buy a practice just before getting to know Fazel and I was very confused, didn’t know where to start and what to look for. Fazel told me it’s going to take 2-3 months to find a practice that is suitable for me. We talked and he got the idea of a suitable practice for me. I travelled to Southern California to meet with him. After having the informative sessions with Fazel, I was very confident and knew exactly what to do. I had an action plan in hand and a good support to rely on. I started looking just at the broker’s descriptions and I was crystal clear to go and see the office or not even bother to see it. In 2 months, I chose three offices, I talked to Fazel, picked 2 out of 3, visited the 2 and bought one. I am not saying that I didn’t get lucky to find the place that I liked but I am saying to have him by my side, was like having a full time support. He is very caring, very knowledgeable, very attentive and really more than an advisor, he is a good friend. Buying a practice, especially for the first time is challenging. With Fazel and his knowledge, the whole process is much easier. I definitely recommend his service for buying a practice. I have been a dentist for over 12 years, and for the past few years, I have been thinking about owning my own practice. I knew one thing… I did not want to start from scratch, because I could not take the economical hit or go without making a profit for months at a time. So I knew I had to buy an existing practice. But how did I know if the practice looked healthy? How did I know if I was going to be profitable from day 1, or month 1? How did I know if the broker I was talking to was telling me the truth with regards to how many active patients they had, or the correct collection amount, or the production amount? Was the rent too high? Who would I even call to see if the equipment was working properly? Which bank do I go with? Who was giving the best rate? Literally, I had no clue where to start and how to end.A colleague of mine introduced me to Fazel. And I swear it felt like I got clarity on so many things almost immediately. I stared to have direction and a game plan. He taught me how to look at practice profiles and rule them out immediately or spend the time to go see them and meet with the dentist. Each practice we looked at together, he broke it down for me: “the good and the bad.” It took a while and we finally found one that fit the bill. Along the way, he introduced me to different people that helped me acquire my practice. And all of those contacts were such a pleasure to work with.
