Fancy Film is top-notch. They make great DCPs, do amazing color work in HDR, and their sound mixing in ATMOS is on point. Theyre in a good spot and have a top team. Dont know why more people havent heard of them. If you want the best, go with Fancy Film. Big thumbs up!

Our experience with Fancy Films was excellent. While Fancy is in the business of ‘seeing’ their other great skill is ‘listening’ to the client. From our first conversations with the Fancy Film through the color correction process, the team there excelled at collaborating with us to give our film a ‘look’ that elevated the story. With Fancy Film, the goal was always to support the story and it was never about imposing an attention-grabbing stylistic embellishment. The company was creative not just in the color correction process but also in terms of helping us to determine an approach that would work within our budget. I highly recommend Fancy Film!

I cant recommend the entire crew at Fancy Film and their dedication to supporting filmmakers. As an editor whos worked on budgets large and small, I can say youll find uncompromising work with results that will leave you happy, knowing that you came to the right place. Post facilities abound in LA, but Silver Lake based FF offers a personal touch with the aim to delivering your project exactly as you hoped it would be. Our colorist, Tony Shek always went the extra mile for us to produce a gorgeous final color and Bill Macombers expertise helped guide us to giving us the biggest bang for our buck. Would not hesitate to return to work with them again.Just wanted to place an update from my original post to say one more very significant and wonderful aspect of the work Fancy Film did for our short film project The Kill Floor. This weekend the film debuted at the San Diego Latino Film Festival and the stunning color and image quality we saw in our color correction session translated absolutely perfectly to the multiplex theater! I couldnt believe it. Being on the big screen in all its cinematic scale was of course a great enhancement, but I was thrilled to see that the entire process from editorial to DCP came together in flawless precision. We used to say the projectionist has the final say on the film in the old film days, because so much could go wrong in exhibition, but not so today. Fancy Film has their workflow down tight and WYSIWYG!!! Beautiful color through and through!!

Fancy Film is hands down my favorite place for post in LA -- not only are facilities top notch, but everyone who works there is so savvy, accommodating, and kind. Highly recommended for everything from hosting screenings to full fledged edits!
